Chapter 1 Andra's Trouble

Today was an ordinary day on Eternia things were going normally. Andra one of Man at arms apprentices was working on a new invention she created. "Oh boy this is the first invention I made all by myself." Andra said. "I just finished putting it together." she said. "I am so looking forward to testing it," she said.

Orko was passing by and Andra saw him. "Hey Orko!" Andra said.

"Yes?" Orko asked coming in. "I know I shouldn't come in here without permission this is man at arms work shop," he said. "I know have tendency to come in here uninvited but I am trying my best to respect his boundaries." he said.

"I know I am inviting you in here because I want you to help me test my new invention," Andra said.

"Okay what does it do might I ask?" Orko asked.

"This machine simply is a special kind sprayer," Andra said. "With right setting it can spray anything, from water, to even paint." she said. "If is set to shoot water it can help water plants and put out fires because it can move via remote control." she said. "But when it set shoot paint it can make painting a room happen in a snap." she said.

"Oh," Orko said.

"I set an area to do so mind helping?" Andra asked.

"Um okay," Orko said.

"Okay it is all set up are you ready?" Andra asked.

"I guess so," Orko said. Orko was ready to help with it.

"It is set on water, so I want you to move around like a wildfire so I can try and douse you okay?" Andra said.

"Sounds simple enough." Orko said.

"Okay now," Andra said.

Orko started move around and Andra started spraying. But instead of water it was spraying paint. "Andra stop it is spraying paint," Orko said.

"I'm trying but I am having trouble getting it to respond," Andra said. Then it spray Orko all over with paint and Orko used and spell that knocked it back and caused it shut down.

"Look at me I am covered in paint," Orko said.

"Sorry Orko," Andra said.

"I heard noise what is going on?" Damien asked coming in. "Orko what happened to you?" he asked.

"Andra's invention," Orko said he was very upset. "Excuse I am going to go take bath and put on clean clothes." he said and left.

Orko was in the hall and Man at arms saw Orko. Man at arms saw Orko. "Orko what happened to you why are you all pink?' Man at arms asked.

"Ask Andra!" Orko snapped he was very upset at the moment.

"Where are you going?" Man at arms asked.

"To take a bath," Orko snapped in reply and head to his bathroom.

Man at arms went the lab and saw the paint mess in the testing area and the invention. "I can't believe you painted Orko." Damien said.

"I didn't mean for my invention to paint him, I set it for water but instead is sprayed paint." Andra said.

"So that's what happened," Man at arms said.

"Man at arms," Andra said. "I didn't mean to paint Orko pink it was an accident," she said.

"I know," Man at arms said. "Did you apologize?' he asked.

"Yes," Andra said. "But he's pretty mad," she said.

"I don't blame him," Damien said.

"I didn't get my first invention to work," Andra said. "It sprayed the wrong thing and it didn't respond to the command the remote was giving it," she said. "I will never make anything that works," she said.

"It's okay Andra, this kind of thing happens," Man at arms said. "Don't worry about it," he said.

"I am out of here because I will never be inventor," Andra said and ran out.

"Andra wait!" Damien said.

"Let her go she needs to calm down and think," Man at arms said.

"Hey I just saw Andra run out like it was the end of the world," Adam said.

"Me too," Teela said. "Plus why is Orko now in his bathroom and heard the water running the tub?" she asked.

"He's taking a bath," Damien answered. "Andra's invention covered him in paint." he said. "He's pretty upset," he said.

"Andra is taking hard that the first test and version of he invention didn't go well," Man at arms said.

"Well I wonder where she is going," Teela said.

"If I was upset I would go to someone know who will listen without judging or ridiculing me," Adam said. "I think she is going to the sorceress." he said.

Andra was wandering around. "I can't be a great inventor I am such a failure." Andra said. "I can't believe I painted Orko and now I bet he doesn't want to be my friend anymore," she said. "I won't be able to invent if I can't get my first invention to get off right," she said. "It is terrible," she said. "I hope the sorceress is willing to listen," she said.

She was carrying her invention that wasn't working. Wondering what to do with it.

Back at the palace Orko had finished his bath. He put on a clean robe, clean scarf and hat. He picked up the dirty ones and put it in his magic hamper to was with stain remover potion later.

"*sigh* Well at least I can skip my bath tonight." Orko said. He came back to the lab. He was bit calmer than before. "Hey guys," he said.

"I see you are done with your bath," Damien said.

"Where is Andra?" Orko asked. "I want to talk to her about what happened," he said. "I am not happy about I just to let her know I forgive her," he said.

"She's not here, she ran off while you were taking your bath," Man at arms said.

"What she ran off now?" Orko said.

"Why do you seem concerned?" Adam asked.

"While I was in the bath some leaves from the royal garden blew in all dry. Remember we haven't had any rain for a long time," Orko said. "Also I felt I slight magic surge of static power which only happens to me when a lighting storm approaching. The type one had occurs with dry thunderstorm." he said.

"If that lighting were to strike the dry forest ground that could mean a wild fire and Andra will be in trouble." Adam said. "Sounds like a job for He man," he said.

They headed out. "By the power of grayskull," Adam said while alone. He transformed into He man. "I have the power." he said. Then he changed Cringer into battle cat. They began to look for Andra.

Andra was at castle Gray skull. "That is the whole story," Andra said.

"Well everyone makes mistakes Andra and I am sure Orko still wants to be your friend," the sorceress said. "Plus failure is part of science such as inventing, you take that failure to help make a success." she said. "Your aunt is a baker did her first cake turn out right?" she asked.

"No," Andra said.

"So keep trying and it will work." the sorceress said. Andra fixed a few parts.

"Okay now it will be ready to test again." Andra said. Then she went out to head back to the palace.

Meanwhile He man the others heard the storm. Then lighting strike happened and a fire started. "Oh no," Man at arms said. "Right now the forest is like kindling," he said.

Then the fire started to spread.

"I hope Andra is alright," Teela said.

"Let's try to fight this fire," He man said. "We need to find a water source." he said.

"I can really fly up in this weather too dangerous." Orko said. "I can't really use my magic right now might make the storm worse or cause other problems." he said.

There was a few more strikes of lighting before the storm ended as quickly as it came and fire was burning every where. "I hope Andra is safe," Damien said.

"We got to do something about this fire," Man at arms said.

Andra saw the fire and decided to test her invention again. Made sure it was set for water and sent it up and it began spraying water this time. "Hey that's Andra's invention," Orko said. "it is spraying water this time and it is putting out the fire," he said.

"That is amazing," Damien said.

Andra came up controlling it and soon the wild fire was out before any serious damage could be done. "That was too close," Andra said.

"Andra we are glad you are okay and now your invention works," Man at arms said.

"Orko once again I am sorry," Andra said.

"I already have forgiven you," Orko said. "I am glad your invention works," he said. "Everyone makes mistakes," he said. Then he tried to make flowers appear and got a fake snake. "Yipe!" he said. Then he picked it up and saw it was fake. "See what I mean?" he asked.

Everybody laughed at that.

"Hi in today's story you read how Andra felt like she couldn't do anything right because she failed the first time at something and felt like Orko didn't want to be her friend after she made a mistake." Man at arms said. "The truth is we use failure to learn and make success happen invention normally don't work on the first try." he said. "Also everyone makes mistakes even friends." he said. "Just remember if your friend is a real friend they will forgive you," he said. "Also if you keep trying at what you love things will work out." he said. "Until the next story see you later." he said.
