Chapter 15: The Saiyans.

It's been a couple days since the docks incident, with everything returning back to normal with the exception that Onyx isn't allowed to train thanks to his injuries which meant that Combat Class was now his most hated class. It was like torture for him since all he could do is watch other people fight and he wanted to fight to, have fun! But alas, he couldn't until he was back to one hundred percent.
While he is out with injury, Onyx has been helping Jaune with his physical training, giving him a good routine while also meditating with Ren on the side. It was quite enjoyable for him to meditate with someone else and despite having an unpopular opinion…he enjoyed Ren's mixes of herbs. Blake on the other hand has been opening up little by little to her teammates and trying to get a better relationship with both Weiss and Onyx.
Soon enough, the weekend came and Onyx was fully healed and quickly got rid of those pesky bandages that had been tormenting him all the time. It was quite the quick recovery to the point that there were verbal mentions of it but what Onyx was actually concerned about was a little tidbit that was confusing him.
In the common room of the dormitories, everyone was hanging out but Onyx was distracted by watching his hand, clenching it and unclenching it multiple times…he didn't understand what was happening to him since after healing he was feeling stronger. It was driving him mad because he didn't train at all and just rested around while he healed but he was, for some strange reason, stronger.
"Got something on your hand, Onyx? Oh! Is it an imaginary Grimm? Did you have a dream?! I had a bunch where I fought like a thousand Deathstalkers, it was awesome and there were Pancakes as the eye could see" Nora asks, getting excited by the second the more she talks.
"Nora…" Ren sighs, facepalming softly.
"Is there something wrong, bud?" Yang asks, a little concerned.
"I just…I don't understand this at all" Onyx admits as he sighs and throws his head back to watch the ceiling.
"That isn't surprising" Weiss makes the off hand comment while filing her nails but it had a playful tone, it was more like teasing him.
"Shut up" Onyx scoffs.
"But what is bothering you?" Ruby asks.
Onyx stays silent for a moment, trying to find the right words to explain that he got stronger somehow but nothing came since everything that he could think of sounded like madman talk.
"I…feel stronger and not in the sense that I'm healed but in the sense that my power grew as if it was a natural occurrence" He admits, still looking at the ceiling.
Both Teams were confused by his words while Pyrrha was trying to look surprised, trying not to let her facade of ignorance slip. She knew what was happening and it had to do with the real origin of her brother, his Saiyan biology was acting up but he never noticed until now and this made her worry.
Her mother did reveal everything to her, everything and she got a message not long ago that more might come out.
Pyrrha always had a fear, the fear of losing her brother because he finds out that he isn't a Faunus or even from Remnant but an alien…one from a race that only cared for fighting as their bread and butter, a race that was brutal, that brought destruction and he was probably ended here to conquer Remnant.
It terrified Pyrrha that her brother would remember, give into his instincts and she would lose him forever by turning into something she can't recognize. The Mistralian champion loves her brother too much that the mere thought makes her chest hurt greatly.
"That's really…weird" Jaune admits, really confused while nursing his sore muscles.
"Are you sure it's not because you were weaker since you were starving yourself that you mentally think you are now stronger?" Weiss asks, putting her nail file away, crossing her legs and giving Onyx her full attention.
"Oh! That would make sense!" Nora raises her hand in agreement.
"It wouldn't" Ren shakes his head.
"Yeah no…This never happened before?" Yang asks, crossing her arms.
"Wait, you two believe him?!" Weiss exclaims.
"Yes" Both nod.
Both were Martial Artists with a very understanding of their bodies. Yang focused more on the physical aspect of training so she would know how strong you were each day that passed after training or when you were lazing around. Ren focused more on the spiritual aspect of the training, understanding one's limits and how to push past them, understanding where your strength lies and one notices those changes so both believe him.
"Now that you mention it…after I got destroyed by that Beowolf when my energy was low, after I had a boost but not as strong as this one" He remembers a little. He ignored it at first because it was so little and he was a kid but it happened again and this time it was more significant.
"Not as strong as this one?" Run asks as he rests his chin on his hand, pondering on the words.
"That's really weird, what would cause this? I mean, it's cool that you get stronger but it's kinda like a cheat code" Yang admits, also pondering on what is happening.
"Maybe, but It's another thing that I'm really different again" He sighs, leaning forward, resting his forearms on his knees as he hangs his head "I'm supposed to be a Faunus but I don't have night vision, my sense of smell is good but not as good as other Faunus"
"Wait, that is impossible, all Faunus have night vision" Blake gasps "It would make sense that some are better than others depending on their Faunus genus but to have none of it"
"It's just like I really don't belong" He admits with a scoff.
Pyrrha now was sweating bullets, he was starting to make sense that he is different in a whole new aspect but what hurts her is him saying that he doesn't belong. Has she done anything wrong? Should have told him about his true origins? She feels a pit on her stomach, thinking that she is the worst sister in the world for not making her brother feel like she belongs.
Before she could open her mouth someone else did.
"We're having none of that Onyx" Weiss speaks with a stern tone "Does it matter if you are not like other Faunus? I would bet my family's riches that it doesn't, you are part of us and nothing will change that you brute so stop moping about it"
Jaws dropped thanks to words that came from Weiss' mouth because it was so unexpected and out of character for the Heiress but it meant the world for Onyx to the point his heart skipped a beat when he heard those words of support from someone he could least expect it. The Saiyan and heiress' eyes meet for a split of a second before they look elsewhere.
"Maybe you are right…" Onyx expressions turn into a soft smile.
"I know I am" Weiss smirks back at adopted Nikos.
"Wow, get a damn room you brats" A new voice is heard.
Both teams turn around to see who the voice was from and to the surprise of the Xiao-long/Rose and Nikos siblings, it was a man they both knew very well. Everybody sees Qrow leaning against a wall with a smirk on his face. Ruby leaped from the couch and hugged her uncle's arm.
"UNCLE QROW!" She yells in mid air, latching into her uncle's arm "Hi"
Qrow just raised his arm to shoulder level where Ruby was still latched with a smile, hanging her legs and swinging them in excitement.
"Ah! it's so go to see you, did you miss me? Did you miss me?!" Ruby leans her head closer with a big smile.
"Nope" Qrow and Ruby grin at the same time, then ruffles Ruby's arm
"Drunkle Qrow, it's so cool you are here!" Yang finally approaches her uncle too.
"Quite indeed, you've cleaned up" Pyrrha also approaches Qrow.
"And I don't smell the booze" Onyx admits.
"Hey firecracker, Pyrrha and brat" Qrow says lowering his arm where Ruby slips and falls with an "oof"
"Who is this?" Weiss asks, raising an eyebrow.
"You four seem to know him" Nora asks a little curious
"Oh right, this is our uncle Qrow, he was a teacher at Signal" Yang explains with a smile
"And the person who trained me with a sword" Onyx joins in the explanation
Qrow rolled his eyes, didn't like to be showered in all the praise all the time, he already got some praise from a certain someone and that was enough for him.
"Yeah yeah, keep it down kids" Qrow scoffs a little.
"But you did clean up, you smell nice actually, you are wearing perfume" Ruby points out and Qrow stiffens
"No way!" Yang leans in and takes a whiff, both Nikos siblings do the same and they notice a familiar scent "Woman's perfume,uncle Qrow you dog!"
"It isn't a perfume…more like…" Onyx says, thinking what the smell actually is.
"Flowers right? With a strong scent…like a…" Pyrrha guesses for her brother
"A Gardenia…" Both siblings say and stiffens too.
The Nikos know that scent very well since they spent all their lives smelling flowers thanks to their mother's flower shop to the point that even both worked there to help their mother and she always said that Gardenia was her favorite with the siblings knowing it very well since it was one of the main decorations on their house. Whenever they turn in their house they would see a vase filled with gardenia and three other flowers but there is always Gardenia.
"You two seem to know about flowers quite a lot" Ren says casually.
"Uh…yeah, our mother owns a Flower shop and we helped out" Pyrrha explains a little.
"Oh man, now I can't get the picture of Onyx making bouquets knowing how strong he is" Jaune chuckles a little.
"Indeed, it's quite an amusing image" Weiss giggles.
"Oh ha-ha, laugh it up but trust me, I know a lot about flowers and I can tell that smell anywhere since Gardenia is my mother's favorite flower and there is a ton on our house" Onyx crosses his arms then glares at Qrow.
"A-anyway, I came due to having a meeting with Oz but I decided to make a few stops first" Qrow changes the subject quickly, not wanting to reveal anything too soon "How is Beacon threatening you?"
"It's so cool, It's everything I wanted!" Ruby bounces on her feet, she had quite the positive experience with the combat school.
"It's been mostly fine…unless we are talking about certain classes. They are so boring, not as fun as yours were Drunkle Qrow" Yang whines a little.
"Yeah, not all classes are that awesome but you two will be fine" Qrow then turns to the Nikos siblings "Pyrrha, come on, tell me what you think too?"
"It's been enjoyable, I'm happy that I made some friends but I can live without the unwanted attention" Pyrrha admits, she has indeed made friends that are true friends but she is always getting attention from fans and the like.
"Can never escape it uh? You'll live" Qrow shrugs and turns to Onyx "Brat"
The Saiyan doesn't know what to say or think, he hasn't pondered about his time here all the time but he had to admit there has been some high and lows.
"Mixed bag, I mean, I like it here and I'm with Pyrrha on this one. I have sparred with a lot of strong people here and I have made friends that I think I'm comfortable with" Onyx starts explaining before making a pause to look at the both teams…friends uh? he liked that.
"You and your love for fighting but I can tell there is more on your head brat, go on, tell me all about it" Qrow encourages him to keep talking.
"...I'm still the odd one out, fifth member of a team, the only student that uses Ki. Everywhere I go in the academy I'm always getting a weird out look, that reminds me that I'm an outcast" Onyx confesses how he really feels, like he is an outcast because he is not a normal faunus and not a normal huntsman student at Beacon, he is different.
There were the following sad expressions around the room since nobody wanted Onyx to be feeling like that after he mentioned that he considers everyone their friend. Blake understood that very well, it was the weight of being a Faunus plus the weight of his difference to the others that is plaguing her new friend's mind.
Weiss scowled, she wasn't going to hear that again and was going to give her brute a piece of her mind but she stopped, her brute? Where did that come from? Didn't matter really, she was going to scold him but that wasn't going to happen because Qrow flicked his finger on Onyx's forehead, hard.
"Ow! What the hell old man?!" Onyx grunts as he rubs his forehead.
"You are an idiot" Qrow crosses his arms with a stern look.
"What?!" Onyx grits his teeth.
"You heard me, you are an idiot, who cares if you are the odd one out? You made friends, you are getting stronger you are exploring the world" Qrow says with a stern torn to match his look "I'm sure Goku was also the odd one out but I'm one hundred percent sure that he never minded and never let that drag him down"
Onyx eyes open wide, he never thought about it this way. His cherished master is the same as he is but is always smiling and with that cheerful attitude of his, nothing ever brought him down. Maybe, just maybe Qrow was right about that. He has to admit that he likes hanging out with his teammates, with Team RWBY and they never treated him like he was something but instead like one of them. Accepted.
"See, even he thinks the same. I've been telling you that" Weiss scoffs "idiot brute"
"What did you call me haughty stuck-up heiress?" Onyx scowls and turns to face Weiss.
"Simpleton" Weiss calls him.
"Arrogant egghead" Onyx shoots back.
Both start hurling insults and name calling each other while everyone just hangs around Qrow and his nieces. To be honest, it was kinda normal for this to happen as the two sometimes will get so annoyed with each other that they go into a competition on who could get under the other's skin. So far it was always a draw.
"Those two should really get a room and blow up some steam" Qrow quips.
"Totally but not either of O-JNPR or RWBY's room, I don't want to hear those two in the process of blowing that hot steam" Yang smirks.
"Whatcha mean by blowing steam?" Ruby asks innocently.
"When you are older!" Both uncle and sister exclaim.
"I'm already big! I drink milk!" Ruby pouts.
But Ruby wasn't the only one that heard that since Blake also did and boy did her imagination started working in override because of course it did, she was the resident closet pervert with all the books she reads. Blake's mind went off and how could she not? A Faunus rebel and the heiress of the Schnee, both are natural enemies…like in one of her books where the princess of the tyrannical shogunate is always trying to ruin path of justice of the rebel Shinobi main protagonist and when the two get together, practically tearing the clothes of each other and giving themselves into a hot and heavy forbidden encounter.
She can only imagine what would it be if Onyx and Weiss got that route…Onyx basically pushing Weiss back into a wall in a hot mess of a kiss, Faunus and heiress starting to undress and…
"Blake, you are having a nosebleed" Ren points out.
"Uh…oh yeah…" Blake runs the back of her hand under her nose to clean the blood, she felt her mouth really dry for some reason until she felt the strong grip of Pyrrha on her shoulder.
"Blake, I hope you weren't daydreaming something dirty about my brother and Weiss" Pyrrha says with a sweet smile but she saw the underline of that smile being extremely sadistic.
"N-No…!" Blake squeaks a little, her ears pointing back but the Pyrrha keeps smiling and looking into her eyes. Blake felt so intimidated that her ears dropped "Yes I was…"
"Stop that" Pyrrha asked gently but Blake understood the world of pain behind those words.
"Y-yes ma'am" Blake gulps…and lied because she was going to write about it.
"I think Weiss and Onyx would make a good couple" Jaune says out of nowhere.
His team and RWBY's minus the W were surprised by many reasons. The first being that Jaune held the torch for Weiss with a burning passion but now was saying that his teammate would be good for the girl he was crushing hard for? Was he sick or was he moving on? Pyrrha was thrilled though.
The second was that they couldn't see it, both were really hot tempered and proud, Onyx not as much but there was a hint of pride in his words when he talked about his family and sometimes about his strength. Nope, they couldn't see Weiss and Onyx being a couple but Pyrrha did, hell she would give the heiress her blessing right here right now for supporting her brother and that way Jaune would be completely free.
On Jaune's mind, he already knew that he had no chance since he tried and tried but Weiss wouldn't give him the time of day for some reason but when he saw how Onyx and the snow angel interacted, he saw that spark in the two but wasn't so sure about it until a few minutes ago when Weiss gave Onyx a piece of her mind about him belonging with them.
At first he wasn't too thrilled about it but he just wanted Weiss to be happy and if his teammate is the one that will make her happy at some point who is he to put himself between them? It only made more sense after Weiss' words.
Anyone else would call him crazy after witnessing the war of words but Jaune? He has seven sisters, his older sisters always got into arguments like those with their girlfriends or boyfriends and to be honest, he has seen his parents argue like that with name calling and those two are tighter than anything so he believes that Weiss and Onyx would make a good couple.
"Okay, enough mini Ice Queen and brat, you two are getting on my damn nerves" Qrow raises his voice and makes the two shut their mouth while they look away from each other in annoyance "Finally, anyway, do you kids have anything planned for today or just be lazy?"
"Not really, we kinda agreed to hang out with Sun later on, he seems fun" Yang shrugs.
"Is he a boy?" Qrow asks.
"Uncle Qrow!" Yang groans "We just met him, he's from Haven"
"And he just wrote to me, he just got into the bullhead from the city to the academy. We should go and meet him in the courtyard" Blake says checking her scroll after she got the ping sound of a notification.
"Awesome, I hope he brought snacks like he promised!" Nora cheers.
"Sounds like you kids have a good time" Qrow chuckles a little and turns to Onyx "Brat, meet me later, I want to test how strong you have become and if you are actually using my teachings"
Onyx nods in agreement, he wanted to test himself out against Qrow since he is way stronger than the last time he sparred with his teacher and maybe this time he would get a W against Qrow, he doesn't think so since the old crow is pretty clever but that would make his day.
Qrow watched as the two teams departed from the common room in the dormitories, it was time he went away since he had to meet Ozpin about since there were a lot of things to discuss, especially since he knows that Salem has pawns on the move.
The former teacher hardened his gaze as he walked, Salem was making moves already and if Amber's attack was anything to go by, they are going after the relics and with no word on the spring maiden or summer maiden, he would be an idiot not to talk with Ozpin right now. His gaze softened as he stepped into the elevator. If he was honest he would have been an idiot and just gotten drunk but like his niece said, he was cleaning up thanks to Amarys. He supposes it's better than having all his judgment clouded every single moment of his life
Qrow has been visiting Argus often and staying over her house when looking for information about Salem's pawns and the spring maiden, which he had some merit of success on the former since the same number of people always appeared, three. He was of course careful not to reveal anything to Amarys who he did grow very close to during that time, they really got busy and he was being honest, before coming from Vale he was in Argus with her.
It was quite the twist when she told him that she didn't want their relationship to be casual anymore but more intimate, something that he would never have agreed to but the redhead was quite persuasive but the main problem was that she asked him to break the news to Onyx and Pyrrha!
Qrow growled, how can he break the news? She's their mother for the brother's sake! He shouldn't be the one saying that the two are a thing and how does she expect it? Go and say "Oh! Hey kids, your mom and I are dating" What does she want him to do?! He couldn't think of it anymore since he arrived at Ozpin's office.
"Qrow, you are early, color me surprised" Ozpin greets his agent while sitting on the chair beside his desk.
"And he isn't drunk, are we sure this is Qrow?" Glynda asks, raising an eyebrow.
"The one and only, I just ran out of Lien for booze" Qrow shrugs and lies as he walks over Ozpin's desk.
"As if" Glynda rolls her eyes.
"Quite but we have more pressing matters at hand" Ozpin clears his throat "We got your message"
"Have you found out more about Amber's attackers?" Glynda asks.
"Not as much as I like but I supposed I got some info for you" Qrow shrugs as he leans against the desk "From all my investigation it's always about a trio, no one knew how they look exactly but there is always a trio that asked for information, two females and one male"
"That's not much to go on" Glynda sighs.
"Indeed but it is better than nothing, we also need to discuss what we're going to do about Amber, Glynda has provided me with a list of female students that could be our candidates" Ozpin agrees and explains the next thing on the list.
"Right, we gotta do something about Amber's condition, are we sure she won't suddenly wake up?" Qrow asks, skeptical.
"We are not sure, she hasn't shown any signs of improvement on the machines that James gave us" Glynda sighs as she hands Qrow a scroll with the list of candidates.
Qrow took the scroll and started reading the name, it was at twenty of them but two of them caught his attention, Yang and Pyrrha's name were in there, top spots. He cursed internally since he didn't want his niece and lover's daughter to be tied to this war, not in a million years.
"Yang is out of the question, I don't want my niece on this and she is too temperamental and Pyrrha is out too, she might have the attitude, the talent and the strength but she isn't fit for being the Fall Maiden, she is too emotional and soft hearted" Qrow tries to make his co-workers think otherwise.
"Then who would you suggest to be the next Fall Maiden my friend?" Ozpin asks.
Qrow took a deep breath, he knew that there was only one answer that could make him happy.
"None, we put our trust in Onyx" Qrow answers plainly.
"Onyx? He is too much of a wild card and how can we be sure that he can grow stronger than a Fall Maiden? Not to mention that he has a horrible temper" Glynda counters Qrow's proposition.
"I know he can be a lot stronger than a Fall Maiden, hell! He can be stronger than Salem and Goku is back, I'm sure we all heard his voice. We just need him to finish the brat's training" Qrow says with confidence, he saw what Saiyans can do firsthand thanks to the scouter.
The former teacher felt a bad taste on his mouth when he remembers what he saw the recording, that Frieza could literally blow up planets like they were nothing and Goku managed to beat Frieza, the potential of Onyx is right there and Qrow is sure that Onyx wouldn't let anything happen to Remnant since it would affect his family.
"Salem is making her moves, we lost the Fall Maiden and we don't know what will happen if she dies, if the power goes to her attackers then that means that Salem would have access to one of the relics. We cannot trust in some alien that-" Glynda starts getting a little heated, she was making good points too but Qrow just scowled, Ozpin decided to interrupt.
"Glynda, please" Ozpin raises his palm, the combat teacher looks to the side with a huff "We can go all day with what if and what nots. While you two are making valid points, it is still too early to take a decision and with the Vytal tournament approaching I'm sure James will find an excuse to be here where he can tell us more about this machine of his"
Qrow scoffed at the thought of James Ironwood. He and his experimental machine that could transfer Aura from one person to another with the high chance of transferring also the Maiden's power. Qrow didn't like that since it wasn't a certainty and mostly because he didn't like Ironwood personally, too uptight, too much by the book but he trusted Ozpin's judgment, they still had time.
"I agree that being prepared is necessary since the Maidens are too important for safekeeping the relics…we can't ignore that we have someone with unlimited potential in our Academy that could change the balance of this war. We now live in interesting times and we have a lot to consider" Ozpin placates both sides, telling that both are right, that right now is not the time to act but to plan.
Before they could continue with the discussions something happened, there was a loud Sonic Boom that shook the glass windows violently followed by a very strong gust of wind that cracked some of the windows.
"What was that?" Glynda asks, taking her crop.
"Doesn't sound like a bullhead…" Ozpin stood up, gripping his cane, he had a bad feeling.
Qrow was about to say something when a loud yell can be heard and he knew who's yell belonged to.
"Brat!" Qrow starts running to one of the windows that could be open.

A few minutes before. In the courtyard of the Academy

Both team RWBY and O-JNPR were walking out of the academy to meet with Sun to hang out, they had plans to go to a sushi restaurant that opened not long ago and apparently was quite good with affordable prices, something that Blake found extremely appealing. Sushi and cheap? She might have found her favorite place to eat.
To the surprise or lack thereof. Onyx and Weiss were walking together despite their early name calling match and now making passive aggressive comments and looking away from each other. The others had to agree that it was a bit amusing since they clearly were annoyed with each other but clearly wanted to hang out for some reason that none of the two understood yet.
Yang, being the mischievous fiend she is, slightly bumps into Weiss making her stumble into Onyx. Yang shows her acting skills by gasping and trying to catch Weiss with her hands but fails on purpose so she goes into the adopted Nikos who catches her without a second thought.
Weiss squeaks a little when her face lands on Onyx's chest and he warps one of his arms around her to support her. Her face was pressed against his pectoral with one of her hands on his chest and she could feel the firmness of his muscles but not only that, he also held her firm and secure.
The heiress has never been held like this before, she has never felt so safe in someone else's arms that wasn't her sister's or Klein's. Weiss felt how her cheeks got warm and slowly closed her eyes, Onyx was a strong man her age who called her out and was sure to treat her like everybody else with no special treatment and she enjoyed her company when they were alone.
She knew very well that Onyx is different to her but didn't know the reason why he was different for her and in a good way it seems despite the fact they annoy each other quite so much. Weiss didn't want to let go
"I'm sorry Weiss-cream! Got distracted for a moment, didn't mean to bump into you" Yang lies perfectly and Weiss snaps somewhat of her enjoyable stupor.
"Uh…no problem, thanks Onyx" Weiss slowly gets off the Saiyan, it was the second time that she called him Onyx.
"No problem" Onyx says with a neutral tone but internally he was screaming.
He couldn't believe how nice it felt to hold Weiss, he never felt anything like that, she was soft and for some odd reason he liked that softness. Like Weiss, Onyx thought she was different from everyone else, her strong will was noticeable, her pride on her family legacy was almost as big as his although he never flaunts it and there is the fact that her temper was…attractive.
Yang couldn't help but notice that look in Weiss' eyes, it was as if she was longing for Pyrrha's brother. The blonde brawler kept her stony face as she approached her partner and flashed a cheshire smile.
"You are evil" Blake says, nose running with blood once more.
"And you are having a nosebleed again~" Yang says with a sing-song voice.
"Please don't give Blake more to fantasize of my brother and Weiss" Pyrrha sighs as she rubs her eyes with her thumb and index finger.
"But where is the fun in that Pyr-Pyr? Just look at the two, acting all shy with each other" Nora butts in and points at the awkward Weiss and Onyx.
"It's kinda cute" Ruby admits with a soft smile.
"Yes, but I would rather that it happens naturally" Pyrrha sighs and walks over to Jaune and Ren who were chatting.
"I can't believe that Yang did that" Jaune shakes his head.
"I did, she likes to tease and play pranks" Ren answers with a neutral tone.
"You let Yang get off lightly" Jaune turns his attention to Pyrrha.
"For now, I'll get back at her during combat class, I'm sure Miss Goodwitch would appreciate the eagerness of me picking a strong student" Pyrrha smiles gently.
Both guys felt a cold shiver down their spines when Pyrrha smiled, there was that hint of danger behind that smile. Pyrrha had a streak of evil within her that none wanted to ever meet in a dark alleyway or combat class for that matter.
Soon enough Sun arrived, not too late, arms behind his head and with that trademark grin of his.
"What's up guys? I hope you guys didn't wait for me long" Sun greets his new friends.
"Heya Sun!" Ruby waves her hand with a smile.
"Not really, we just got here not that long again" Blake shrugs but gives Sun a small smile.
"We had entertainment" Yang smirks knowing what she did.
"...Do I want to know?" Sun asks, a little curious.
"We'll tell you later" Jaune says with a shrug.
"Cool, so we head out to eat something or do we do something else first and eat a little late?" Sun asks, excited that he has someone to hang out with while his team comes to Vale.
"I'm not really hungry right now so I think we can go do something else first" Onyx shrugs, admitting that he wasn't hungry.
"That's…surprising brother but It sounds nice that we can end the day with some nice food" Pyrrha smiles a little, she was already thinking of giving ideas.
"It is indeed a first, considering that this brute has a black hole in his stomach" Weiss scoffs and rolls her eyes, by now she has returned to her normal snarky attitude with the Saiyan.
"I'll have you know tha-" Onyx doesn't finish speaking when something unexpected occurs.
Weiss sees how Onyx starts raising his right hand before he is sent flying away from her, she is shocked by what just happened while a Sonic Boom makes her cover her ears. She actually believes that she saw a white gloved fist. The rest of RWBY and O-JNPR saw, their friend was sent flying various feet away from them. All of them turned around to see Onyx rolling on the ground before he flipped onto his feet.
"Most impressive, you managed to block my attack despite my speed" A new voice between them says, making everyone turn around.
What they see is a man, a little taller than Weiss but smaller than Blake. He was wearing a blue sleeveless tank top with tight color matching sweatpants alongside White Gloves and boots. He had black spiky hair, none of it on his forehead and had quite the widow's peak and his eyes were black as his hair.
The stranger was crossing his arms, his muscles really showing and marked, even on his sweatpants it was noticeable. Everybody notices the similarities between this stranger and Onyx's black hair, black eyes and the spiky parts of the hair that was more prominent in one than the other that seemed to defy physics.
Pyrrha was frozen immediately when she laid eyes on the stranger, she was sure, this was also a Saiyan despite the lack of tail but what was his relationship with Onyx? Was he his father? Was he just a Saiyan that noticed Onyx? Was he here to conquer Remnant? She had a myriad of questions without answers but she was sure of something...They were all in danger.
"Yeah, you managed to suppress your power until you were close enough to attack" Onyx stands up, dusting himself off "I barely had time to block"
"Oh? You managed to sense me? Interesting, maybe you are not as weak as you look" The stranger says with a smirk, taunting Onyx.
"I'll show you weak" Onyx scowls as throws his hoodie to the side and gets on his fighting pose.
"Hey, who the hell are you mister and why are you attacking our friend?" Nora's eyes harden as she grips her hammer.
"That isn't very nice widows peaks, now tell us what you want before we kick your ass?!" Yang walks beside Nora, cracking her knuckles.
"Simple, I came here to fight him" The stranger says, motioning with his head at Onyx before returning to the two girls "Now stand aside or I'll make you stand aside insects"
"Oh, it's on!" Yang growls, irked by the dismissal.
Both girls attack the stranger, Yang going high and Nora going low and to their shock and surprise…the stranger blocks their attacks like it was nothing. There is a hmph sound coming from the stranger as he simply kicks Nora away and backfist Yang out of his path.
"Nora!" Ren exclaims as he quickly runs to her downed childhood friend.
"Yang!" Both Ruby and Blake do the same with Yang while Pyrrha, Weiss, Jaune and Sun were frozen in fear at the sight of someone dispatching two of their strongest with a bored look.
"Don't you dare touch my friends!" Onyx snarls "You want a fight, then you got it!"
Onyx dashes forward towards the stranger, sending a right punch directly to the stranger's face who blocks it with his left palm like it was nothing to then close it with an iron grip that the O of O-JNPR could break free. Onyx eyes widened as the stranger's power rose to his own level, this was bad. The stranger smirks as he bends his elbow, reeling his arm back for a punch while still holding Onyx's hand.
Onyx ducked before the punch could hit him yet he dodged by mere inches, he was fast, too fast that Onyx could believe but he wasn't going to give up. Taking advantage of his hand being trapped, he raised his body, using the stranger's grip as leverage and spinning around to deliver a jumping left heel kick straight to the left side of his head.
The stranger's smirk gets bigger as he uses his other arm to block the attack and holds Onyx calf in place. The young Saiyan wasn't prepared for what came next as the stranger without letting him go, lifted him above him and threw him forward like he was nothing! Onyx flipped as he was in the air, regaining his balance yet he wasn't prepared for what was coming next as the stranger was already in front of him with a punch that connected square on his face, sending the teenager flying even further and rolling on the ground.
"Damn it…he is strong…" Onyx grunts as he gets on his feet, using his left hand to clean the blood from his busted lip "But let's see you handle this! HA!"
Onyx shoots his right hand forward, firing a Ki blast at the stranger.
"Hmph! Too easy! HA!" The stranger responds in kind, firing a Ki blast himself.
The two ki blasts meet in the middle and make an explosion, everyone was speechless, even Onyx's words were failing him…the stranger could sue Ki too! It was equally shocking, terrifying and exciting in the mind of the young Saiyan.
"You…can use Ki?" Onyx tone is full of shock and a hint of excitement.
"Of course I can! Any warrior worth their salt should be able to channel their inner power" The stranger scoffs "Now Kabach, let's see if you can keep up"
"Who the hell is Kaba-Gah!" Onyx is a little confused by the name, he thinks it is familiar but all those thoughts are thrown out by a strong kick on his stomach.
Both teams and Sun are watching, terrified of what was happening in front of them, how Onyx was being dismantled by this stranger who didn't give him any breathing space. They saw how hard Onyx tried to dodge, how he tried to block to only fail and get hit hard, grunting in pain. Pyrrha felt every punch in her body and couldn't look anymore.
The stranger grabs Onyx by the collar of his shirt, lifting him up front he ground and punches him on the face then kneeling on the stomach, causing some blood to come out from his mouth mixed with some saliva. The stranger kept repeating the process, punch, knee strike, punch. Onyx looked slightly up from the stranger's shoulder only to see Qrow falling down with Harbinger on hand with a falling slash.
To everybody's surprise, the stranger turns his free hand behind him and catches Qrow's blade with his bare hand as if it wasn't sharp at all.
"No way!" Sun exclaims at the sight.
"How did he do that?!" Jaune joins his fellow blonde.
"Stay away from Red's kid you bastard" Qrow growls as he tries with all his might to cut the stranger.
"An ambush attack, clever for an insect but I can also sense power levels and yours are quite weak like the rest!" The stranger smirks darkly.
The stranger, without letting go of either Onyx and Qrow's sword, kicks Qrow on the stomach with so much strength that his aura breaks instantly, some blood comes out of the old dusty crow's and is sent flying back, falling close to the others grunting in pain and trying to catch his breath.
"Uncle Qrow!" Both Yang and Ruby exclaim in worry, the blonde brawler standing up from the ground and rushing with her sister to check on their uncle.
"Damn you…stay away from my student widow's peak" Qrow growls as he stumbles into his feet, refusing to pass out due to responsibility to both his student and Amarys.
"For a weakling, I commend you by your will but you will learn your place when I'm done with this brat" The stranger grins sadistically and notices that there is a crowd now from students and the staff, including the Headmaster and his second in command "Figures, more weaklings come to watch"
"I got you now!" Onyx yells, taking advantage of the distraction and presses his left hand against the stranger's chest, firing a point blank Ki blast.
The huge explosion hurls Onyx away from the stranger, himself taking some of the damage he just delivered but quickly gets on his feet, keeping a strong look on his face despite him stumbling a little.
Clapping can be heard on the smoke of the explosion as it slowly dissipates to show the uninjured form of the stranger.
"You impress me again Kabach, it seems like I cannot drop my guard around you at all" The stranger says impressed
"Stop calling me that! My name is Onyx you moron!" Onyx grits his teeth.
"I see, so you really did forget everything, who you really are and what you really are" The stranger scoffs and aims his hands in front of him "But don't worry, I plan on making you remember!"
The stranger starts firing a barrage of Ki blasts at Onyx.
"Crap!" Onyx puts his forearms in front of him in an X fashion to block the attacks.
Despite the first ki blast hitting Onyx and him grunting in pain, the stranger didn't relent with his attack rather he exaggerates as he continues firing the Ki barrage after Ki barrage. Onyx is fully covered by explosions that shake the ground where everybody was standing. The students and staff members were utterly scared and fascinated by the fight but were leaning more on the sacred side of the balance.
"Brother!" Pyrrha screams in desperation.
When the stranger finally lets up, the smoke clears to show a heavily injured Onyx and bleeding, his t-shirt now fully torn, his jeans torn around his knee and calves.
"That won't be enough to put me down" Onyx grins, there was something inside him that made him enjoy all this, something primal and engraved on his very being but it was short lived as the stranger disappeared.
Everybody started looking for the stranger until they saw him at Onyx side with a sadistic smile. There wasn't any time to warn the adopted Nikos as the stranger knees Onyx right in the stomach, making him double over to then follow up with a double hammerfist on the back, slamming him into the ground.
"You are stronger than most weaklings on this planet but you are nothing but an insect to my power!" The stranger presses his foot against Onyx's back, a little above his waist.
"Who do you think you are?" Goodwitch finally speaks with a frow, her crop ready.
"And why are you attacking one of my students?" Ozpin's tone was serious, pointing his cane at the stranger.
"You better stop, that young man is one of my best students so you are walking on thin ice" Professor Port's tone also matched the headmaster's
"Indeed, so hands off our student" Oobleck also joined his colleagues.
"Well now, it seems We have a public Kabach so I'll finally answer your questions" The stranger grins darkly as he leans forward and grabs Onyx's tail without any warning making scream in pain "You are not a human, not even one of those Faunus…"
"Please, don't!" Pyrrha yells as she knows what is coming,
"...You are not even from this planet, you are part of the strongest race in the Universe! You are a Saiyan and your real name is Kabach! A low class warrior!" The stranger yells loudly, making sure everyone hears him.
There are multiple gasps, eyes going like saucers and tears falling from Pyrrha, what she was afraid happened and in the worst way possible and for everyone else, well most of them saw the sense of the stranger's words. Onyx was an odd case that seemed to get stronger significantly by each training, each fight and not to mention that he could fly, fire energy beams and everything else.
"No…tha-that's impossible, I'm a F-Faunus!" Onyx yells between his teeth, trying to bear the incredible pain of having his tail held in such a strong grip.
"Don't listen to him Onyx, you are one of us!" Blake yells, trying to give her new friend strength with her words.
"That's right, don't let him get into your head dude! You are like me, a Faunus! We share the same Genus!" Sun yells, refusing to believe that.
"He's trying to play mind tricks, you know who you are my friend!" Ren also joins, surprising everyone that he raised his voice but agreed.
"It's impossible that you are an alien you brute, don't listen to him and listen to us!" Weiss yells.
"You are right, you two may look similar but are nothing alike" The stranger laughs darkly at Sun's claim but he quickly returns his attention back at Onyx "Saiyans have dark hair, black eyes and brown monkey tails that are their ultimate weakness, shall we get rid of this one?"
"He wouldn't…" Ruby gasps, putting both of her hands over her mouth.
"Wait, don't-" Weiss noticed the eyes of panic in Onyx and she quickly realized what was going to happen next.
The stranger increased the pressure on Onyx's back with his foot as he started pulling Onyx's tail and making the now Saiyan scream in pain until it happened. The tail was torn from his lower back but surprisingly little blood poured out of the new injury yet the screams of true pain coming from Onyx's mouth invaded everyone's ears showing how utterly damaging it was.
The screams were horrifying as much as the scene was. Students gag, puked and even looked away from the scene in front of them. Team RWBY and O-JNPR were horrified by what they just saw, Onyx treated his tail with care to the point he always used a special shampoo for fur, an expensive one. To say that Onyx loved his tail was an understatement and now it was ripped off his body and thrown to the side like nothing.
But what really got them was the tears falling down his face as he howled in utter pain but they couldn't look away, something didn't let them. Weiss felt how her blood went cold, she could get annoyed by the brute but he was her brute and seeing him in this state broke her heart into a million pieces.
Pyrrha on the other hand, felt her blood boil like nothing else before, this…this monster was torturing her brother! Her beloved brother and making him cry and scream in pain! She wanted to kill him, she wanted to make him suffer for what he has done to her family!
"And I am Vegeta, Prince of all Saiyans and I'm very disappointed Kabach, this planet still stands and you are nothing but a weakling" The stranger now identified as Vegeta shouts at Onyx who managed to get off Vegeta's foot and roll in on the ground in pain.
"What are you babbling about, prince?!" Goodwitch demands from Vegeta.
"It's rather easy, Saiyans are sent to conquer planets, wipe out the population to sell the planet to be the biggest bidder. We only do it for the thrill of the fight since our race lives and breath combat for a living, there is nothing that we like more than fighting! Kabach landed here but this planet still stands, what a failure! He is nothing but an utter and absolute failure!" Vegeta keeps talking down to Onyx with a dark smile plastered on his face.
Team RWBY and O-JNPR eyes open wide alongside the staff and the students watching. If what this Vegeta said is true…Onyx was meant to kill them all, destroy everything and sell their planet as a psychopath alien invader.
"You bastard! I'll kill you!" Pyrrha heard enough, dashing forward, reaching for her weapons and trying to stab Vegeta in a fit of anger.
"Pyrrha no!" Jaune exclaims trying to catch his partner but fails.
"Pyrrha Yes!" Pyrrha lunges, transforming her xiphos into the javelin and trying to impale the Prince of Saiyans only to be swat to the side with his right hand then grabbed by the throat with the other, lifting her off the ground and choking her.
"You are braver than most but I heard you call Kabach brother, that means he has a connection, a bond" Vegeta's dark smile turns into a very evil smirk "Let's break them as a punishment shall we?"
"N-No!" Onyx can barely speak.
"Pyrrha!" Ruby screams alongside Jaune in fear.
Vegeta presses his palm against her chest and fires a Ki blast point blank just like Onyx did to himself but he wasn't hurt by his own attack.
"Kyah!" Pyrrha cries in pain as she is pushed away by the explosion, her aura flashing and having a few scratches.
Onyx could only watch in horror as her sister was hit by the blast, how she screamed in pain…the pain subsided and was replaced by something completely else, something primal and very much of his.
RAGE!
Everybody saw how it happened in slow motion as Onyx disappeared from their eyes only to appear beside Vegeta with his fist punching him on the left cheek with a look of anger, of pure anger. The punch sent Vegeta flying away from where he was standing and landing away, stumbling on his feet with a scratch on his cheek.
"I always knew I was different, that I didn't belong" Onyx watches his right fist as he stands firm despite his injuries "Now I know why, I'm not even from here, I'm an alien, a Saiyan and everytime I say it my head it feels even more right and you are not wrong, I love fighting more than most things"
Everybody, teammates, friends, teachers, staff and classmates were listening to Onyx's speech about himself with a mix of emotions. Some were scared of what he was admitting, that he was admitting himself being a Saiyan that he has all the instincts while others wanted him to finish his speech, to know where he was going.
"B-brother…" Pyrrha gasps for air as she is tended by her teammates, listening to her brother's word.
Onyx clenches his fist as he grits his teeth in anger.
"Go on brat…say it" Qrow whispers to himself "Show us that you are more than your race"
"Sir…maybe we should keep an-" Glynda whispers to Ozpin but he stops her, wanting to hear Onyx's resolve.
Onyx throws his hand to the side as he powers up, his Ki flaring brighter and stronger than ever before as he gives Vegeta a death stare.
"But I have friends that make me feel like I goddamn belong! This is my damn home even if it has problems here and there, even if the Grimm are trying to wipe us out, even if there is horrible relations between humans and Faunus! I don't care If I was sent here to take over the planet or whatever! I have a loving family that raised me like their own without ever making me feel unloved or hated!" Onyx power keeps increasing by each word "Remnant is my home and I won't let you hurt my friends, my family! I won't let you destroy my home! I will never forgive you for hurting my sister!"
The resolve from Onyx was felt through everyone, he loved Remnant despite its significant flaws, despite always being in the back thanks to the Grimm and despite always being treated less by others because he was seen as a Faunus before…he was going to fight for the planet and for them.
Hope is what seated in all the witnesses' chest, Pyrrha smiled weakly as her fears dissipated as he brother would never change his feelings about her and their family, Weiss didn't knew how to feel about Onyx's origin but…darn it if he didn't move her heart strings with his words. Blake was sad that her new friend was not a Faunus like she believed but felt hope because Onyx didn't see Faunus as less even if he was an Alien.
Sun, Ruby and Nora were sad that everything they knew about Onyx was false, he wasn't a Faunus but an alien…and it quickly shifted to excitement and hope, they were friends with an alien! How cool is that?!
Ren and Nora felt hope, their teammate saw them as friends and would gladly fight for them like the two always fought for each other, it didn't matter that he was. Jaune had mixed feelings about this, one of his first friends here in Beacon had such a dark secret that himself didn't even know. He felt pity but…his friend was ready to give it all for them like he would, a true hero.
Yang was static too, Onyx was so strong and was an Alien and this somewhat made him slightly more attractive, can you blame her? He was an Alien who could kick ass with his hands, feet and not to mention quite the eye candy! But she wouldn't act on that attraction, a mere look at Weiss killed that idea and she didn't even care.
Qrow only could smirk as the faith he laid on his student was right! He felt pride, pride like a father would feel after seeing his child resolve himself with the best decision. He saw the Brat grow, give him life lessons, advice him and was ready to give his life for him since he opened something that Qrow believed lost many years ago, he was the one that let him meet Amyris and he would never let that go. Qrow is also pretty sure that Onyx's Father would be proud of him and only hopes that he can continue teaching Onyx how to be a better man; better than himself.
Peter was proud of his student, not many had the guts to find out about their true origin and rejected after struggling so long with the feeling of never finding a place to belong in but Onyx did it without a second thought. Oobleck was fascinated, there was life outside Remnant! They weren't alone in the universe! His former classmates will be so jealous and he was owned a hundred lien from that bet he made when he was getting his PH.D
Glynda had her jaw open after hearing such a passionate speech, she always thought that Onyx couldn't be trusted but the way he spoke from his heart…she was wrong, very wrong and she was glad she was.
Ozpin just smiled. He found a new guardian for sure.
The classmates of the now revealed Saiyan couldn't believe it…they always treated him like a freak, the odd one out but here he was, fighting for all of them despite everything. The second years that were watching found a newfound respect for Onyx and certain bunny Faunus despite being disappointed that he wasn't a Faunus started cheering for him loudly.
Onyx then shoots flying towards Vegeta with a flying kick which he dodges by barely ducking, not expecting this strength from Onyx. Yet the young Saiyan wasn't finished as he immediately does a sweeping kick that Vegita dodges by jumping but it was part of his plan as he immediately follows up with a strong uppercut to the prince's chin and sends him flying up in the air with Onyx hot on his tail.
Vegeta flips himself into balance and immediately punches Onyx in the face but Remnant's Saiyans but he doesn't flinch at all and answers with a strong strong punch that sends Vegety further away. Onyx could feel everyone cheering him on, his doubts, his fears started fading away…he found his place even if he isn't a Faunus, even if he isn't human!
The two Saiyans soared through the air, trading blows with their power levels rising and rising, getting faster by the second to the point that the crowd could only hear the sonic booms of the clash the two had and noticed that they were moving behind the Academy so everybody ran in that direction.
Behind the castle that is the Academy, both Saiyans continued fighting without giving in at all. Vegeta threw a kick at who dodged using his kiai to get out of the way while deactivating his flying skill only to activate it again to get behind Vegeta and strike him on the back with an elbow strike with a follow up roundhouse kick.
Vegeta grunted after being hit by the combo but quickly regained his bearings, grabbing Onyx by the foot and hurling down with a mighty throw. Remnant's Saiyan flipped in the air as he landed gently among his friends, classmates and teachers.
"I was wrong about you Kabach! You have potential to be stronger, your moves have become sharper and stronger but this is only the beginning of what you can become as a Saiyan! We are the strongest in the universe and show me your Saiyan pride!" Vegeta yells but Jaune notices something, the words that Vegeta were using changed…almost as he was teaching his teammate.
"I'll admit" Onyx cleans the blood from his brow with his left hand "I'm having a blast and I still got lots in the tank but you really pissed me off! I'll just keep getting stronger until I defeat you!"
"Yes! That's it! That is your pride as a Saiyan" Vegeta smirks as he flies lower and closer "Join me Kabach, I'll spare these weaklings and join me to conquer the universe, you can have this planet as yours but we'll show that we are the universe that us Saiyans are the strongest!"
There was a loud gasp when Vegeta made his offer to Onyx who was among everyone. Remnant's Saiyan lowered his head as if thinking about the offer, this was going on the wrong direction but Jaune noticed something, Vegeta's expression changed a little to a scow and Ren also noticed this, almost like if Vegeta didn't want Onyx to take his offer…
Onyx sighs, he had his answer ready. Quickly cupping his hand to the right side of the body and shooting them forward.
"KAMEHAMEHA!" Onyx roars as he quickly powers up and fires the beam attack from his school of martial arts.
Vegeta was too close to dodge it and was hit by the beam and engulfed in an explosion of blue light. Jaune and Ren saw how Vegeta's expression changed to a smirk for the split of a second when Onyx fired the blast. Onyx stood forward, close to the edge of the cliff as he kept looking at the explosion he just made.
"If you think I'll join you then you are nothing more than an idiot! You hurt my friends, my teacher, my family! You really pissed me off!" Onyx yells.
The explosion dissipates to reveal Vegeta with some of his clothes taking heavy damage, with more scratches and a busted lip.
"You…insect, that really hurt! No more nice guy!" Vegeta roars, surrounded by purple Ki as he flies up high into the sky, cupping his hand to his left side, charging an attack "I'll blow this planet up with everyone on it into nothing but Space dust!"
Onyx started sweating, he was sensing the prince's Ki rose higher and higher as he charged the attack…but he also had something that he wanted to try.
"I won't let you, I've been working on this attack, my most powerful attack so far!" Onyx powers up too as he throws his left hand to the side, a red orb of energy forming on its palm.
Onyx then aims his left hand at Vegeta, holding his left wrist with his right hand as the red ki orb cracked with power as the attack was charged.
"THIS IS THE END, GALICK GUN…!" Vegeta roars.
"NIKOS JAVELIN…!" Onyx matches Vegeta's roar
"FIRE!" both yell in unison as the beam attacks are fired.
The purple beam of the Gallick Gun is fired violently as Onyx's red beam is also fired, the tip of the beam shaped like a spear/javelin. Both beams collided in a beam struggle that seemed not to give in on either side.
"Accept your fate and perish with your planet Kabach!" Vegeta makes the beam stronger, pouring more of his power into it, starting to win the beam clash as the purple starts going further than the red.
"No! I'll defeat you with all I have! Get out of my damn world!" Ash roars with anger as he pours all his energy on his attack, overpowering the Galick Gun completely and reaches Vegeta making a massive explosion.
The shockwave of the explosion makes all the watchers of the fight step back due to the strength of it as the gust of winds were too strong to withstand. Onyx was panting heavily, his arm still extended, all his power drained after he poured it all into it.
"Take…that…you son of a bitch" Onyx says between pants.
"Brother!/Onyx!" His sister and friends exclaimed happily that the battle was over.
But no, the battle was not over yet as the smoke up above showed a silhouette
"Very impressive" Vegeta's voice is heard from the smoke in the explosion as he hovers down from it and stands in front of Onyx who was gritting his teeth, not showing an inch of fear at all but filled with anger.
"He survived that?!" Pyrrha exclaims.
"That's impossible!" Weiss gasps.
"Doesn't matter, he must be too weak after that attack, we can take him now" Ren narrows his eyes.
"You…you won't get away with this, we'll defeat you bastard" Onyx says with gritted teeth.
"Good, let you anger flow through you, let it activate you" Vegeta then increases his Ki to the point Onyx realizes he was toyed all the time as Vegeta's power surpases him by a tenfold…and that's all he remembers as Vegeta punches him in the stomach with so much strength that Remnant's Saiyan is knocked instantly due to being overloaded with pain.
Team JNPR and RWBY get their weapons out, ready to fight when suddenly a man wearing orange clothing and spiky hair walks past them. It was Goku!
"Goku!" Pyrrha voice raises once more but with hope in her
"I believe that's enough" Goku says with a smile on his face.
"He is still very weak Kakarot" Vegeta scoffs.
"Of course he is, I haven't finished his training. I'm actually surprised you held back so much Vegeta" Goku scratches the back of his head as he laughs.
Staff, students and friends were confused. The way the two were speaking so casually, so friendly and what was that of holding back?!
"Y-you two know each other?" Glynda is the first one to ask.
"Oh, hey Ms. Goodwitch and yeah, Vegeta and I are pals" Goku grins.
"Shut it Kakarot, we aren't pals" Vegeta scoffs but his face turns serious "Did you clean the city surroundings from those monsters?"
"Of course I did, what did you think I was doing to Vegeta?" Goku frowns
"Obviously clowning around Kakarot" Vegeta scoffs.
"Well, that's not very nice of you Vegeta" Goku bickers back with his fellow Saiyan.
"I…I need some explanation here…" Pyrrha stutters a little but a new voice, a familiar voice to her is heard.
"My baby!" Amary's voice is heard as she rushes to her downed adopted son and holds him on his arms "Was it really necessary to fight him that harshly"
"Of course it was, I needed to see his resolve woman, I needed to test his strength, his Saiyan pride and resolve" Vegeta scoffs again with that harsh tone of his.
"Can someone please explain what the hell is going on!" Yang screams, activating her semblance.
Both Saiyans and mother turn around to see Yang. Both Goku and Vegeta can't help to notice the similarities between Yang's semblance and the Super Saiyan transformation but quickly shake their heads realizing that there was a question that needed to be answered.
"You must be Yang right? Man you've grown!" Goku smiles cheerfully with his trademark Son's smile "But this was planned"
"What do you mean as planned?!" Weiss interjects, angry "Just look at him! He's clearly injured and hurting!"
"Calm down girl!" Vegeta raises his voice sternly, making Weiss flinch a little "If I wanted him dead I would have done it already, this was just a training exercise by this clown"
"All of this…just a training exercise?" Ozpin seems lost for words, he thought he was seeing the possible end of the world only to be revealed that it was just a training exercise.
"Yeah, I mean, it was coordinated since Vegeta really knows how to play a bad guy while I cleared all the Grimm outside the city, kinda disappointed since those monsters aren't strong at all but Onyx surely got a great fight out of it and everyone is safe!" Goku rubs his nose with that smile of his.
"I'm a little confused but if I may ask…was the Saiyan thing and the fight just a ruse to make him fight with all he had" Oobleck asks, trying to make sense of it all.
"Of course not! Kakarot, Kabach and I are full blooded Saiyans, probably the last in the universe" Vegeta huffs a little "But the fight was just a training exercise"
"Was it really necessary?" Port asks, worried about one of the students who actually pays attention to his lessons.
"Yup, Onyx needs to get stronger and with each fight he grows stronger so making him fight someone who matches his strength even when he goes over his limits so he can grow ever stronger!" Goku explains.
"What he means is that us Saiyans grow stronger with every battle, specially the ones that we are close to death, it's part of our DNA" Vegeta crosses his arms.
Onyx's friends and sister's eyes opened wide, that explained more what Onyx meant when he said he felt stronger earlier! His actual DNA makes him grow stronger from each hard fight! No wonder he got that boost, he was pretty injured after his fight with Torchwick.
"You Saiyans really are something else, should have known since you Saiyans are basically extinct" Qrow limps to Amarys "Is the kid fine Red?"
"Yes he is, just out" Amarys breaths in relief before she does a double take at her romantic partner, seeing him injured too before she cups her cheek "You look worse for ware"
"Try taking a kick by that guy" Qrow scoffs, pointing with his thumb at Vegeta while he looks at his student "Brat really got spirit"
Ozpin decided to do some crowd control and send everyone away, including the curious students and the even more curious Doctor Oobleck, leaving them to think about today's events deeply…after all, it's not often that one of their classmates or students is in reality an alien from a race of warriors.
Meanwhile, the rest took Onyx to the infirmary so he could rest and heal up, Vegeta and Goku were sure that he must have answers, to be honest Team RWBY and JNPR minus Pyrrha had a myriad of answers about Onyx's origins while also feeling that everything was turning crazier by the second but soon enough, the questions will get answers not only for them but for Onyx himself and some…will not like them at all.

THIS WAS A FUN CHAPTER BUT I FORGOT TO POST IIIIIIIIIIIIT BECAUSE MY MIGRAAAAINE! Migraine sucks have I said that already? Anyway, this chapter is basically the Oh shit Onyx isn't a Faunus and oh shit, Onyx is an Alien! But that's not all There is more Aliens! Joking aside, let's come to what I was setting up.
One, on a previous chapter I set up that Onyx was injured by a beowolf by being careless fighting it and got badly injured to the point his liver was destroyed and got a liver transplant, this was his first Zenkai boost but he never understood it because he was a kid and he wasn't that strong but right now after this one, he could understand it better so he would be confused and Onyx has a better understanding of Ki.
Second. In that same chapter we got to see him train on a new attack, a signature attack of his own that he unleashed here, The "Nikos Javelin" which is his version of the Kamehameha, Galik Gun, Masenko, etc, This will be replacing the Kamehameha for Onyx as he slowly starts making his own arsenal and moveset.
Three, Onyx's tail now has been removed, as much as it is the Saiyan thing…it's a weakness and in terms of being a fighter (and who took it out) removing the tail was needed, Vegeta will give his point of view on the next chapter actually on why he did it and why it was necessary. as for why I did it? It's a pretty obvious weakness and exploiting it over and over again could become old and not exploiting it becomes plot holes and ugh…rather take it out like this, in a big emotional moment, to make an impact and have some meaning behind it and an in-world and in-character explanation.
Fourth. The sense of not Belonging being shattered and his resolve starting to take root. Onyx always felt like he never belonged because he was different, as a faunus, as a human, as student, on previous chapters there was mentions of that and on this chapter after learning the truth and with all the support of his friends and his rage, he can say that he can belong because he knows the truth now, He'll put it into words in the next chapter actually on why learning the truth made his sense of not belonging shatter.
Fifth. the return of Goku and introduction of Vegeta. This was very much planned from the start, Vegeta was going to be the one who was going to tell Onyx the truth and it was going to be through a fight. Vegeta is a Character that can play the bad guy while being the good guy, e.g teaching Kaba of universe six how to reach Super Saiyan, in this he taught Onyx how to stand proud and not to back away and how much stronger he needs to become and to recognize Onyx as a true Saiyan. Call it Prince Duties, Just don't expect him to become a teacher for Onyx or any of the characters and the same goes for Goku who just returned and revealed more, the truth is out.
There are other points out there like Qrow and Amarys finally becoming a couple, Qrow not being on board in this story with Pyrrha being a candidate for being the next maiden and putting his trust on Onyx. The School learning of the truth and many other things. More progress between Onyx/Weiss relationship.
I would say that have an eye for a couple things, like repeating stuff that are mentioned that could be paid of later maybe, I actually set hint here for a plot point for later WINK
Let's get to the reviews and there are two that I'll answer right away and this will be for future ones that are similar like this.
GancaloMorata and Lisa-Katagiri: Let's cut the bullshit, I don't think either of you read the story and since it's posted on chapter 1 and if you did, well sorry but I don't believe so and it's the third message i got, one was a dm for another person actually but i'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you did read it, while it would be cool to have my story in a comic format, one it would be way to costly, two i'm not making a dime for writing these stories so it wouldn't be worth it honestly.
Now, with that done out of the way, now with the reviews.

Triscythe59: Weiss is a victim of circumstances and upbringing really and she just needed this push. Onyx is not sure about Sun yet nor Penny, he is odd about Peny really for now but he is curious about her strength. Torchwick is actually on par with Onyx at that moment, even with a full stomach Onyx would have been a little stronger than Torchwick but not by a lot, example, Torchwick would be a 100 and Onyx a 110, not a big difference on the grand scheme of things, it would rely more on who would fight dirtier which could be tricky since both are dirty fighters, since Torchwick is Torchwick and Onyx is a student of Qrow.
Yep, no fusion. while it's cool…Gotenks kinda killed it for me and Gohan isn't much of a fighter, he is a family man and a researcher/Biologist first. A fighter second and that's how his character works best imo, the reluctant fighter while Onyx is an active fighter and there is the little thing about Saiyan pride and all of that (something that Trunks and Goten lack because their immaturity and easy life) I do see both of them interacting and Onyx trying to get Gohan to start training again tho which could make an interesting storyline.
Let's see if that bet actually pays off and there you go, this is how Onyx's true origins are revealed, I hope I delivered.
Charles30: Oh shit! You are right! Tarble! From the OVA Yo! Son Goku and his friends are back! He is kinda canon and he is actually mentioned in the Broly Movie but okay. Here is the thing, I'm not eliminating him…is just that he has no skill set, moveset, isn't very strong or anything that I can work with, probably the Galick Gun and that's it, sure I could pull something out of my ass and make a character out of him but…Tarble is kinda of a throwable character even if he is Vegeta's brother so he isn't on the list of characters that I want to work with…
…Actually…Charles30, you got me thinking…I could add Tarble to the story, add the Ova to the story since the characters will go to Earth and do the OVA…make him show up more times…a support character that is a Saiyan that isn't a fighter but owns a planet…starts thinking a possible future storyline and world building Okay Charles30 you might have made me do more work than necessary but Tarble might be added to the story as a more prominent character you bastard! Joking aside, if what I'm thinking works, I need to investigate his planet and wife. He could be worth having as a character.
Eli villa: It's debatable really, Torchwick was Onyx first real challenge on his level, as a mentioned on one of the reviews answers, torchwick in terms of power and numbers as an example would be 100 and Onyx 110, stronger but wouldn't make a big difference, it would be on the dirtiest fighter or more skilled.
God, I was teasing this moment for ages with Blake and Onyx, it was getting tiresome really, happy that is over and happy that they are on the same page. We will see more of Sienna and Adam in the future and Onyx's own thoughts of them, especially after certain events.
Uh…nice parallel really, unintentional, Onyx is on the fence about Penny by how odd she is but he is interested in her strength. Thanks dude
Shadow Drivver: True that, I really like SSJ4 to the point I was actually considering it for Onyx as his own transformation but I decided against it. I am actually crafting a special transformation only for Onyx since he…let's say is a different kind of Saiyan and will gain a different power. Baby…I'm on the fence about baby really, I like him yet I don't know how to add him because he is one of the villains of GT that I can see in the story being added but I don't know how to add it with how I'm envisioning the story so far because the lore of the Tuffle and the Saiyans is actually good and would work. The last survivor of the Tuffle rebuild and starting a path of vengeance to eradicate the remaining Saiyans and Onyx being the first Target? it works but I don't know where to put it or how, that's the main problem because how I have envisioned the story, I can add a one chapter or two chapter for a episode or something but someone like Baby needs a couple chapters since it would be a Saga and I wouldn't know how to fit him. Maddening mate, I want to add him but agh, frustrating.
Oh god…Z Movie Broly, can you imagine? Hahahaha, I mean, cool villain but I really damn hate the crying part but I can imagine the conversation.
"Damn this guy is tough as they come" Goku says grunting, cleaning the blood from his mouth
"KAKAROT!" Broly shouts in anger.
"Wish he could shut his damn mouth already, how can he be the legendary super Saiyan if he just has a damn hate boner for you master because you cried as a baby?!" Onyx groans annoyed as he puts his dislocated arm in place despite the pain.
"Yeah, he's just a big baby" Piccolo grunts in agreement.
"You could say…he's the legendary Super big Crying baby" Yang makes the awful joke while she is on the ground in pain.
"SHUT UP YANG!" All of them shout.
Or something like that? Anyway, Glad to hear you are enjoying the story dude and yes, Weiss is really starting to care for her Brute and becoming strangely possessive, more to come. Hope I can continue to deliver in the story!
FutureTrunks735: Oh god, I can already imagine Nora's reaction to Beerus, not taking the GOD seriously and with good reason because lorewise…Beerus can do nothing to Nora…more will be explained when Beerus appears, world building reason, trust me but god! The reactions will be fun.
Spectre266949: Onyx even in full 100% wouldn't make much of a difference, maybe less damaged but it actually works in Onyx favor this time. and No, I thought about it first but SSJ4 won't be appearing but I did consider it. I would recommend reading my answer to Shadow Drivver (this and the previous chapter's) about GT but here is the gist: I'm crafting a special transformation for Onyx. Also, Onyx is from Universe 7, the story is in Universe 7…which funny enough, Remnant being in Universe 7 has some world building in a way since there isn't a Remnant in Universe 6, more will be explained as the story progresses.
