Chapter 47 Cringer's Growing Cubs

Cringer's and Camile's cubs were growing up fast and just like Cringer and Camile it would take three years before full grown. "Okay let's see Chrissie, Cooper and Cringer Jr." Adam said feeding the cubs.

"These cubs are growing up and becoming a handful," Man at arms said.

"Yes and they are becoming amazing young tigers," Queen Marlena said. "I don't know if we can keep them in the palace forever," she said.

"I don't know if we can either," King Randor said.

Adam's cousin Jeremy was visiting today. He loved playing with Chrissie. "It's nice to have someone to play with," Jeremy said. "I don't have anyone I can really play with at home," he said.

Chrissie loved Jeremy too. "Well we have been thinking about sending the cubs to new homes for some time," Adam said. "If we talk to your folks maybe they might let you keep Chrissie," he said.

"I sure hope so," Jeremy said. "It would be nice to have someone to play with and something to take care of," he said with a smile.

So they talked it over with Jeremy's parents and they said Jeremy could keep Chrissy. Chrissy was soon being taken to her new home. "Chrissie where are you going?" Cooper asked.

"Yes are you going some where?" Cringer Jr. asked.

"Yes I am going to a new home," Chrissie said. "Jeremy and his family are adopting me and I am going to live with them from now on," she said.

"But why?" Cooper asked.

"Remember how the king and queen said some day we might have new homes?" Chrissie asked.

"Yes," Cooper and Cringer said.

"Well today is the day for me, I am going to new home," Chrissie said.

"Bye Chrissie," Cringer Jr. said.

"Yes bye," Cooper said.

"We are happy for you Chrissie," Camile said.

"We love you," Cringer said.

Then Chrissie left with Jeremy and his family a couple of days later. Cooper and Cringer were wondering what to do without their sister.

Someone came to the palace it was a sweet looking widow. She had come to help out with a few things. Cringer Jr. was bonding with her. He could tell she was feeling sad and lonely. The woman loved Cringer Jr.'s company. "You are such a sweet boy," the widow said petting and kissing him.

"You know I think he likes you as much as you like him," Hannah said.

"I do like him very much, it is just so lonely in my house since my husband had died and we had no children," the widow said. "But I enjoy company whenever I get it." she said. "He seems to know that I need that," she said.

"You know we are looking to find them homes you can take him with you if you like," King Randor said. "We can even help you care for him too," he said.

"I would love that very much," the widow said. Cringer Jr said good bye to his parents and brother.

Cooper who was the runt and had to have his left hind leg removed due to infection, was wondering if anyone would want him. "Will someone want me?" Cooper asked.

"I think someone would," Hannah said.

Most people didn't want Cooper because of his missing leg. Cooper felt sad wondering if anyone would want him. Today a little girl came into the palace. "I hear you still have young tiger looking for a home can I see it?" the little girl asked.

"Okay but I worry you may not want him because many reject him when they see him," a guard said as he brought her to see Cooper.

The little girl saw him and smiled at him and noticed his leg. "What happened to his leg?" the little girl asked.

"I had to amputate his leg due an infection," Man at arms said who saw her come in.

"I want him he's just right," the little girl said.

"Why do you want him, he won't really be able to play with you well and do stuff other green tigers do his disabled," the guard who brought her in said.

Then the little girl pulled up the left pant leg revealing a prosthetic leg. "You see sir I lost my leg too, and I can't do things as well as other kids sometimes," the little girl said. "That tiger needs someone who understands," she said.

"Oh thank you," Cooper said and came up and licked her. That made the little girl giggle.

"I am Josie what is your name?" Josie asked.

"Cooper," Cooper said.

"Well Cooper you are coming home with me," Josie said. "Because you need someone who understands things for you like I do, because we are not so different from everyone else," she said. "We have the same feelings and we are going to be best friends." she said.

"I am so happy for you Cooper," Cringer said.

"As am I," Camile said.

"I am glad and Josie is like me she is missing a leg too," Cooper said.

"Come on Cooper let's go," Josie said. "I can't wait to show you the place where you are going to sleep!" she said.

"Bye mom and dad I love you," Cooper said. Then left.

Hannah smiled at this as did the rest of the palace. "Sometimes understanding is needed from someone who has walked a mile in someone else's shoes," Hannah said. "But sometimes if you have never walked in a person's shoes or had a similar experience sympathy is needed and understanding although we are all different in one way or another, we all have the same heart, mind and feelings inside," she said. "That is what we all need to learn," she said.

Everyone agreed with Hannah on that.

"Hi in today's story you read how Cooper was unwanted because he was different than his brother and sister," Dree Elle said. "But the little girl who chose him could relate to him on many levels because she has had similar experiences," she said. "What we must understand is people who are disabled in one way or another such as a visible or invisible disability, they deserve respect, love and kindness," she said. "Until later," she said.
