Chapter 49 Happy Birthday Baby! Part 2
Dree Elle and Orko's baby was going to be born any day now. Everything at the palace was pretty much ready. The nursery was ready and Dree Elle had made a baby blanket that was finally finished it was yellow with a blue crescent moon on it. There were all kinds of things that friends and family gave for the baby. Both friends had family from Trolla, Etheryria, and Eternia had given them. They gave many things that were all big help.
They were grateful for all this help. "I got to say this little one is really wanting out I think," Dree Elle said rubbing her belly.
Orko placed his hand on her belly and felt the baby moving. "I think the baby does too," Orko said. "I think it wants to meet us," he said.
"I think so too," Dree Elle said. "I have a feeling it could happen at any second," she said.
"I understand how you feel Dree," Orko said and then kissed her.
Dree Elle was getting ready to have lunch with the others when a storm started.
"Some storm," Yuka said. "Look at it come down," he said watching the rain.
"Yes, as they say on earth it's raining cats and dogs," Diantha said.
"I remember the first time I heard that," Hannah said laughing. "I take a lot of things literally," she said.
"Yes it is quite a thunderstorm to say the least," King Randor said.
Dree Elle felt something, it was pain and it was strong. She had been feeling it for a while, since that morning. She now knew it was time. "It's time," Dree Elle said.
"Yes it's time for lunch sis," Yuka said.
"No, it's time," Dree Elle said.
"It's time? The baby!" Orko said. "Ziki go get, Horio and Jarnia it's time," he said.
"We will meet you where us Trollan healers do treatment in the palace." Ziki said.
Orko lead Dree Elle to where he was supposed to. Everyone watched as he did so, knowing the baby was soon going to be born. Once in the Trollan healers area of the hospital wing the others were waiting outside.
"I called my mom and dad to telling them my sister was going to have the baby," Yuka said. "I even let Orko's parents, aunt, uncle and cousin know, along with Squonge," he said. "Orko told me it was my job to call them when it does happen they are on their way," he said.
"That's good," Adam said.
"I can hardly believe now Orko will be a father very soon," Teela said. "I remember when I first met Orko, it was after Adam brought him to the palace injured after rescuing Adam," she said.
"I remember that day, it took a long time for me to stitch up his arm," Man at arms said.
"Yes I remember when Orko met Dree Elle, it is when I went Etheryria and reunited with my sister, Adora," Adam said.
"I also remember Orko meeting the other ringbearers who came before him and started to train with them," Damien said.
"Remember when Orko reopened Trolla's borders?" Roboto asked. "That was a big step for Trolla and all its people since what happened all those thousands of years ago in the past," he said.
"Also remember Orko's and Dree Elle's wedding?" Andra asked. "That was someday," she said.
"Also remember when Orko and Dree Elle announced Dree Elle's pregnancy?" Hannah asked.
"Yes we all remember those times," Queen Marlena said. "Now because of Orko a group of Trollans is making a village here in Eternos on Eternia to live here," she said. "It will help better Trolla's relationship with Eternia. They are even planning to do the same for other worlds like Etheryia and Earth." She said. "It is a big and important thing for all Trollans to move forward to the future and restore their reputation and honor," she said.
There was a flash of lightning and a clap of thunder. "Of all the times for the baby to come, couldn't it come during a less scary time?" Cringer asked.
"Cringer sometimes babies are born during times like this," Queen Marlena said. "I know on earth some babies are born during things like hurricanes or tornadoes," she told him.
They had been waiting for a while. "It has been hours when will the baby be born?" Yuka asked.
"Well Yuka these things take time," Queen Marlena told Yuka.
Then Dree Elle's parents, Orko's parents, Orko's aunt and uncle, his cousin Snoob and best friend Squonge came in. "It sure is wet out there," Squonge said. "At least the rain shield Montork used worked like a charm," he said.
"Has the baby be born yet?" Snoob asked.
"No not yet," Teela answered.
"It has been almost six hours," Yuka said.
"True it has," Damien said looking at a clock.
"These things can take a long time," Kyren said. "I was in labor with Dree Elle for almost nine hours, and I was in labor with Yuka for almost eight and a half hours," she said.
"I remember when I was having Orko 12 hours, he was in no rush," Ilyne said.
Then as the sixth hour hit everyone was waiting still. They were waiting patiently for the baby to be born. The storm was still happening. Then they heard something coming from the room where the healers were helping the baby to be born. It was a baby's crying. During this spring storm the baby was born.
Then Horio came out. The others were wondering what he was going to say. "Both mother and baby are fine," Horio said. "The birth happened without complications," he said. "Dree Elle did great, and the baby is 100% healthy," he said. "Ziki and Jarnia are making sure both Dree Elle and the baby are going to be okay, and cleaning things up," he said.
"Is it a boy or a girl?" Hannah asked.
"It's a handsome little boy," Horio said.
"A boy, how nice," Squonge said. "I owe you lunch Snoob," he said.
"You two had bet huh?" Adam asked.
"Yes I said it was going to be a girl and Snoob said it was going to be a boy," Squonge said. "So we bet each other that the loser would buy the winner lunch," he said.
Yuka giggled at the bet finding it funny.
"We have a grandson," Unzo said.
"We sure do," Ilyne said.
"As do we," Seagg said.
"It's wonderful," Kyren said.
"We got a great nephew," Uncle said holding Esso close to him.
"This is great," Esso said.
"I am now an uncle too, and that means he is my nephew too," Yuka said.
"That is right Yuka, but I am a great uncle meaning I am a brother of a grandparent," Montork said.
"Oh," Yuka said.
"Can we see him?" Adam asked.
"Yes can we?" Teela asked.
"I will check with the parents," Horio said going back in the room. He saw Orko and Dree Elle admiring their son. "They want to see the baby." Horio said.
"Let them in," Dree Elle said and Orko nodded.
They all came in and saw the little baby Trollan in Dree Elle's arms. "Here is Dree Elle and I's son," Orko said.
"Look his face is already covered," Hannah said.
"It sure is," Orko said. "Trollan faces are hidden soon after birth," he said.
"Look at him," Dree Elle said. "He has your ears Orko," she said.
"And your eyes Dree Elle," Orko said.
"What is his name?" Adam asked.
"Eddym, it means strong heart in Trollan," Orko said.
"Adam would you like to hold him?" Dree Elle asked.
"Sure," Adam said and carefully took the baby Trollan into his arms. Eddym was so small he could be easily cradled in one arm. "Hello little guy welcome to Eternia," he said.
"We are your family," Yuka said.
"Affirmative, just remember Eddym family isn't just who you are born too, it is all people you love," Roboto said.
Everyone agreed.
"Hi in today's story you read about something wonderful the birth of a baby," Adam said. "When a baby is born it gives people hope of new life and joy and a bright future," he said. "It is also very special time for the baby's parents and family because it gives them love and joy because that child is special to them," he said. "Until next time," he said.
