Chapter 51 A Trollan family reunion

It was late at night and baby Eddym was fussing. "Shush sweetie," Dree Elle said holding him. "It's okay," she said. "Would like to be fed?" she asked. Then she started to nurse Eddym. That got him to calm down.

"Is everything alright Dree?" Orko asked he was woken by Eddym's fussing and Dree Elle's attempts to calm him.

"Yes it is," Dree Elle said. "Eddym was just little fussy, but I am feeding him right now, and that seems to be doing the trick," she said. "I think he was fussing because he was hungry," she said.

"That's good that's he's calming down," Orko said. Then stroked his son's head as he fed. "I am happy he is here," he said.

"I am too," Dree Elle said. Then Eddym yawned and stopped nursing. He looked sleepy, then Dree Elle placed him his cradle and rocked it gently. Then little Eddym fell asleep.

"That takes care of that," Orko said. "Now we should get some sleep too Dree," he said.

"Yes," Dree Elle said. Then both of them fell asleep too.

It was soon morning and Orko and Dree Elle had breakfast. That was when a magic envelope appeared. "What is that?" Adam asked.

"It's the mail," Orko said. "First magic mail from Trolla on Eternia since Trolla reopened it's borders," he said. "I better see what it is," he said. Then he opened the envelope. "Why it's an invitation to my family reunion," he said. "In Trollan customs, beliefs and law, the in laws on both sides and all sides of the family are family to each other. So my dad's adoptive family is officially family with my mother's family, and my aunt's family is their family too, and Dree Elle's family is family to them too," he said. "Also the same applies to close friends to a certain member they are considered part of the family too even if they are not Trollans," he said. "So you guys are part of the family too," he said. "There invitations for Dree Elle, Yuka, and I along with invitations for all of you," he said.

"That's nice," Hannah said.

"When is the reunion anyway?" Adam asked.

"It's at the end of the week," Orko said. "I am planning on going," he said. "I haven't been to my family's reunion since before I got lost on Eternia, so it has been years," he said. "I am looking forward to seeing all the Trollans I grew up with and meeting family members I also am yet to meet on all sides," he said. "Also everyone will get to know Dree Elle, Yuka, little Eddym and all of you if you want to come," he said.

"Of course we will come Orko," Queen Marlena said.

"It would be an honor to go," King Randor said.

"I wonder how much the family has grown since I was last on Trolla?" Orko asked out loud.

"Probably a lot," Man at arms said. "You were missing for nine years," he said. "Also marrying Dree Elle and her family becoming part of it, along with us and Eddym being born, it cause the family to grow a great deal," he said. "I bet your family members you played with growing up have married and have kids of their own too," he said.

"You are probably right," Orko said. "But I am looking forward to seeing them and meeting other members I haven't met," he said. "Along with making memories," he said. "I am looking forward to talking to them and learning all the family news and sharing old memories," he said. "This will be very exciting." he said.

"It sure will be Orko," Dree Elle said. "I bet many of them will love Eddym as they will love the rest of the new babies that are in the family from other members," she said.

"I know," Orko said. "I am looking forward to seeing the other new babies that will be there too," he said. "I am so happy all of you are deciding to come," he said.

"We sure are happy after all you said according to Trollan, laws, beliefs and customs we are part of your family due to being very close friends," Adam said.

"I hope the masters can handle things for one day of us being out," Teela said.

"I am sure they can," King Randor said.

At the end of the week they all got ready to go. They all headed to Orko's family's house where the reunion will be held. Orko saw his parents and hugged them. "Hi mom and dad good to see you," Orko said. Then he hugged his uncle and aunt. "Good to see you uncle Montork and Aunt Esso," he said. Then he hugged Snoob. "Good to see my favorite cousin again." he said.

"Good to see you too Orko," Unzo said.

Dree Elle greeted them too. "It's good to see all of you," Dree Elle said.

"Good to see you too Dree Elle," Ilyne said. Then she saw little Eddym in his mother's arms. "Hello Eddym," she said. "May I?" she asked.

"Of course," Dree Elle said.

Ilyne took Eddym into her arms. "Ooh hello it's grandma," Ilyne said. Eddym sucked his little thumb and looked at her. "Ooh he is so sweet," she said. "He reminds me of Orko so much when he was a baby," she said.

"Mom," Orko said starting to blush.

"Darling don't embarrass Orko," Unzo said.

"Sorry but look, he looks a lot like him as a baby, but with those sparkling green eyes of his mother," Ilyne said.

"I know," Unzo said. Then he tickled Eddym under the chin making him coo. "He sure is a precious little thing isn't he?" he asked.

Then Dree Elle's parents arrived. "Hi good to see you all," Seagg said. Then he came up to see Eddym. "Hello little guy," he cooed making goo goo eyes at him.

Kyren came up and saw Eddym. "Ah he is looking nice and healthy and alert," Kyren said. "It is so nice to see him," she said. She was grandma but still acting like a healer.

Then more family members began to arrive. Someone came up to them. "Hello there big bro," a Male Trollan said to Unzo.

"Aw Dorko," Unzo said. "Good to see you little bro," he said hugging him.

"Hi uncle Dorko," Orko said.

"Hello Orko how have you been boy? It is so good to finally have you here and I heard a lot about your adventures on Eternia and opening Trolla's borders, so good to see you," Dorko said.

"Good to see you too," Orko said. "So what have you been up to?" he asked.

"Oh a little this, a little that, and I fell into a kelpa berry syrup vat a few weeks ago," Dorko said.

"Again?" Orko asked.

"Well this time it had syrup in it." Dorko said. "That was a very sticky situation," he said laughing.

"Uncle Dorko you never change," Orko said laughing with him.

"Brother you are one of a kind," Unzo said laughing. "You do the strangest things and always manage to get people to laugh," he said.

"I do what I can," Dorko said.

"Dorko!" they heard and female heavy set Trollan came up.

"Hello Dorla," Unzo said.

"Sorry dear I thought you were right behind me," Dorko said and then kissed her.

"Hello aunt Dorla how are you?" Orko said.

"Orko good to see you," Dorla said. "Well I better help set up the food I brought because soon we are going to eat," she said. "Dorko you better give me a hand we brought quite a bit remember," she said.

"Don't worry dear I am all over it," Dorko said going to help her.

Then more and more Trollans appeared. Then a ball came flying. "Think fast!" a voice called. Damien caught the ball.

"Nice catch," a 15 year old female Trollan said. "I am Losia," she said. "I am a cousin of Orko's," she said. "You must be one of Orko's friends," she said.

"I'm Damien," he said.

Then a 12 boy Trollan came up to Hannah. "Hi I am Hannah I am friend of Orko's" Hannah said.

"Nice to meet I'm a Livion beetle," he said.

"Nice to meet you Livion beetle," Hannah said awkwardly.

"No my name is Fergio, this is the Livion beetle," Fergio said showing Hannah with his magnifying glass.

"Wow," Hannah said.

Then more Trollan's appeared. "Hello Dree Elle good to see my niece again," Gornia said.

"Hello aunt Gornia," Dree Elle said.

Once everyone arrived. "Wow sure is packed and look at all the different Trollans," Andra said.

"I'll say sure is a lot of people," Man at arms said.

"Now let's all have lunch!" Montork called. Everyone got food and sat down to eat. Some Trollans were talking as they were having lunch.

"It is so nice to see you all," Dree Elle said to her cousins.

"It is nice to meet all of you too," Orko said.

There were Trollans of many ages there too. There were really old Trollans, middle age Trollans, adult Trollans, young adult Trollans, teenage Trollans, tween Trollans, school age Trollans, preschool Trollans, toddler Trollans and baby Trollans.

Eddym was being ooh and ahh over like the other baby Trollans. "Look at him isn't he adorable?" Gornia asked.

"He sure is," Dorko said.

"A strong looking little boy too," Dorla said.

"Yes look how precious he is," said Fertina Dree Elle's great grandma.

"My great nephew is going to grow into a strong wizard don't you think?" Montork asked.

"I think so," said a cousin named Riv.

There were a load of activities to do. "So Adam I am wondering how you met Orko on Eternia?" a cousin Orko's named Lynax asked.

"It all started when I was eight years old," Adam said. "I was out exploring with Cringer my pet tiger when he was cub and we ended up the tar swamp when we went to far," he said. "I got stuck in the tar like water and Orko heard my cries for help after a cosmic storm brought him there," he said. "Orko saved me and he got hurt and broke his wand in the process," he said. "Then I took Orko to the palace to be treated and told my parents what happened," he said. "Orko got to meet my other other friends and Man at arms stitched him up," he said. "My parents made Orko apart of the royal court and allowed him to live in the palace," he said. "Orko has been doing a good job at making everybody laugh and entertain them ever since," he said. "We have had other adventures after that and he has had adventures with the Eternia champion He Man too who I know very well," he said.

"That is so cool," Lynax said.

They were all busy talking and having fun. They all were catching up and learning about new family members.

"I am so happy I am able to catch up with the family I grew up with and getting to know the new members," Orko said. "it is nice making new memories," he said.

Hannah was hanging out with Fergio. "I love animals just as much as you do," Hannah said. "it is fun watching them and feeding them," she said.

"I know it is fun to do so and make friends with them," Fergio said.

Man at arms was able to see how tightknit Trollan families are. Things were very much at peace there.

Soon before everyone knew it was time go home. "I hope we can see each other again before the next reunion," Orko told his parents, aunt, uncle and cousin.

"Same here," Snoob said.

"I will see you all again soon," Dree Elle said.

"Yuka keep being good for your sister," Kyren said.

"And keep up with your studies son," Seagg said.

"I will," Yuka said.

Then everyone went home.

"Hi in today's story you read about family," Orko said. "Family is more than who you are born too, it is who you love," he said. "Some families birth their children, while others adopt them or foster them," he said. "Some families are blend, and families come in all shapes and sizes too," he said. "Friends can also become family too." he said. "The thing that makes a family a family is love," he said. "So be sure to tell the people in your family you love them," he said.
