Chapter 52 Voicetoria's Tale
Man E Faces is a well known actor on Eternia and everyone loves his acting. Today he was going to show some new faces to Hannah for his shows. He thought Hannah was a nice young lady and good friend like her adoptive older brother. Today he thought he heard the voice of Skeletor and Hannah's voice so he came running to see if she needed help.
"That was very good," Hannah said when he saw her. But he didn't see Skeletor with her. He saw a lady.
"Thanks I have been working on it," the lady said. "Want to hear the others I have been working on?" she asked.
"Sure," Hannah said.
"And for my next trick I will make this beaker disappear," the lady said doing a perfect impression of Orko's voice.
"That sounds just like him," Hannah said.
"Thank you," the lady said.
"I have feeling he will be impressed," Hannah said.
"I think so too," the lady said. "Can you guess who this is?" she said doing a perfect impression of Evil Lynn.
"That's Evil Lynn," Hannah said.
"You are good guesser," the lady said.
Man E Faces was impressed by this woman who Hannah was talking too. How could she do all those voices so perfectly. He also saw they didn't noticed him and then he cleared his throat.
"Oh hello Man E Faces," Hannah said. "This is Voicetoria she does the puppet shows for the palace and kids of Eternia." she said.
"Nice to meet you," Voicetoria said. "Nice to meet the great actor Man E Faces," she said.
"Hello," Man E Faces said. "So you are the one who makes these great puppet shows with the amazing voices I heard about from people in the palace and around Eternos," he said.
"Yes," Voicetoria said.
"Well it is nice to meet you," Man E Faces said. "I hear you are doing a show later today in the palace I hope I can see it later," he said. "I can't wait to see your talents in action," he said. "I bet you make a great show as I hear you do," he said.
"I am glad I am able to do this, thanks to Hannah and to He Man," Voicetoria said.
"What do you mean thanks to Hannah and He Man?" Man E Faces asked.
"That's right you were away visiting to reconnect with family you lost touch with when it happened," Hannah said. "But I will never forget it," she said.
"Yes and it is a long story," Voicetoria said.
Flashback starts.
It all started when I was out having a little snack in the woods while watching the animals like I love to do so. Hannah said voicing over. Then something happened that I didn't expect.
"Hey you why are you here and when I get you, you will be sorry!" Beast Man's voice said.
"Yikes! Beast Man!" Hannah said dropped her lunch still in it's bag and climbed up a tree.
Then a woman came out from the area where Beast Man was heard and took Hannah's lunch and helped herself.
"Hey!" Hannah said. "Just who do you think you are?" she asked her from the tree.
"Why don't you shut up?!" the lady snapped and proceed to eat Hannah's lunch.
"That's my lunch!" Hannah said.
"Not anymore," the lady said then finished up the lunch and grabbed the bag and left.
"Humph of all the nerve!" Hannah said trying to climb down. Then she heard a voice from below.
"Need a hand getting down?" He Man asked.
"He Man!" Hannah said. "Yes I could use some help," she said.
"Orko mind helping her?" He man asked.
"Okay," Orko said. "Hey! How! Safely to the ground you are now!" he said. Then Hannah was on her feet on the ground.
"Hannah what were you doing up in that tree?" He man asked.
"You do have a lot of trouble coming down from heigh places," Orko said.
"I heard Beast man's voice and I went rushing up that tree, but Beast man didn't come out of the bushes a lady did," Hannah said. "Then she helped herself and ate my lunch I dropped." she said.
"Now that isn't right," Orko said.
Then they heard a voice from somewhere else nearby it sound like Clawful. But when the got a closer look it was the lady doing his voice. That scared a man into leaving water behind and she went to help herself.
"What is her problem?" Orko asked when he saw the lady leave after that.
"Hmm," Hannah said. Hannah could see the woman's worn out clothes and thought how hungry she must be. "I don't think she is so bad," she said.
"What do you mean?" Orko asked. "She is scaring people and taking their things for herself," he said.
The So-ar appeared. "Hannah speaks the truth," So-ar said and became the sorceress. "She is a very lonely woman, very hard on her luck, very sad, very angry, and very afraid." she said.
"From the looks of it the only thing I think she will only take is food and drink," Hannah said. "I feel she must be very hungry and may have some morals of who she tricks with her voices," she said.
"I believe she does too." He man said. "Once she has what she wants she leaves them unharmed," he said. "She didn't once hurt Hannah or that man," he said.
"I think she must have been through a lot for her to end up like this," Orko said.
They followed the woman and were wondering what to do with her and how to help her. The woman was minding her own business when Beast Man and Evil Lynn approached her. "We have been watching you for a while lady," Evil Lynn said. "Your abilities will be great for Skeletor's cause," she said.
"No," the lady said.
"This way you won't have to scrounge for food again," Beast man said.
"I don't care," the lady said. "I rather staying scrounging for food that join up with that bonehead!" she said.
"You are coming with us whether you like it or not!" Evil Lynn said. "Grab her Beast Man!" she said.
"Help!" the lady cried.
He Man, Hannah and Orko came running hearing the lady. They saw Beast Man and Evil Lynn trying to take her away. "Stop right there you two," He Man said.
"He Man!" Evil Lynn said. She blasted magic his way which Orko blocked.
"I will take care of Evil Lynn you go after Beast Man," Orko said.
"My thoughts exactly little friend," He Man said.
"I will stay out of the way," Hannah said getting to safe area.
Then Orko and Evil Lynn proceed to do magic at each other. Orko managed to trip Evil Lynn up with his scarf and then gave her a toss and she ended up in weird position in a tree. "Ugh this is humiliating!" Evil Lynn shouted.
Then He Man tossed Beast Man into the same tree causing the branch to snap and the two villain were cover in mud. "Ugh let's get out of here I have had enough humiliation for one day!" Evil Lynn shouted and magicked both her and Beast Man back to snake mountain.
"Thank you for saving me," the lady said. "After I took your friends lunch," she said. "And took that man's water," she said.
"Well you may have done those things but we know you are not evil," He Man said.
"That's true," Hannah said.
"Yes we think you are someone who needs help," Orko said.
"Well I guess you can say that, people were afraid of my natural abilities to change my voice perfectly and they thought I wouldn't be good at anything," the lady said. "So I have been living out here scrounging for from travelers and stuff," she said. "But after seeing how Beast man and Evil Lynn were about to force me to do something I didn't want to do, I know now that isn't the way I want to be with my voices," she said.
"Well since we have new friend, what is your name?' Orko asked.
"Name I never recall even having a real one," the lady said.
"Well it has to suite your talents and voice abilities," He Man said.
"I got it Voicetoria!" Hannah said.
The lady smiled at that.
Flashback ends.
"Yes and I am grateful now that I am here and living here too, now I don't have to scrounge for food ever again," Voicetoria said. "I know now that it is not okay to unknowingly or knowingly force others to do things they don't want to do," she said.
"Well it was nice hearing your story," Man E Faces said. "Maybe sometime you can your voice skills in my plays, I know they are not the same as puppet shows, but I think they could be useful when needed," he said.
"I would like that very much," Voicetoria said. "You are very nice just like Hannah said you are," she said. "Oh look at the time I have to head to the puppet show rehearsal. It was very nice meeting you," she said leaving.
"Voicetoria she sure is something," Man E Faces said watching her leave.
"Yes she is," Hannah said smiling.
"Hi there I am better you are wondering how some people like me are easily able to mimic other peoples voices," Voicetoria said. "Well for starters we try not to smoke because second hand smoke can damage the lungs and throat." she said. "We also drink a lot of water," she said. "Also we practice, practice, and practice," she said. "It takes a lot of work to get the voice just right," she said. "But we also rest our voices when we need to, as well," she said. "But once we do enough work we can do the voice of another person like from a show or in real life almost perfectly or perfectly," she said. "It takes a lot of work but some things worth doing are a lot of work," she said. "Until next time," she said.
