Chapter 54 Two Hearts coming together

Adam and Teela were spending time together outside. The two of them were having a lot of fun. They were doing some sparring and having fun. "Teela you are pretty good to say the least," Adam said.

"You are not so bad yourself," Teela said. "I know He man is pretty good himself," she said.

"Why don't you tell him yourself?" Adam asked.

"I am," Teela said she knew the secret.

Adam was wondering when he should tell Teela he loved her. He was finding it hard to do so. He was glad she liked the bracelet he gave her for Christmas but he never got around to telling her his feelings.

Orko saw Adam a bit later. He was holding Eddym was suckling on a bottle of the milk Dree Elle had pumped for him. "Hey Adam I think something is on your mind, or someone is," Orko said. "Someone you are in love with," he said.

"What makes you think that?" Adam asked.

"You seem distracted and been sighing a lot," Orko said. "I felt the same way and did the same thing before I told Dree Elle how I felt," he said. "So who's the girl?" he asked.

"Teela," Adam said.

"Teela?" Orko asked.

"Yes," Adam said. "I love her, but it is kind of hard to admit that," he said. "The two of us we have been best friends since we were three," he said. "But if I tell her how I feel it might end well and we start dating, but it also might not end well and be bad for our friendship," he said.

"I can understand that," Orko said. "Well truth is Snoob's best friend is girl like Teela is for you," he said. "Her name is Ashina, and they were very close the best of friends," he said. "But Snoob started to have feelings for her after being friends for a long time and he told her how he felt," he said. "You know what she felt the same way too and they started a relationship, and things are going well so far they have been dating for three years and Snoob called me yesterday telling me he was planning on proposing," he said. "So don't be afraid to take that chance like Snoob did," he said. "It worked for him, chances it make work for you and chances are it will not work, but you won't know unless you take that chance," he said.

"True," Adam said. "I think I have to find a way to tell Teela how I feel," he said.

He decided to find Teela to see if she would like to go into the woods with him for a nice hike. "Hey Teela we haven't gone a hike together for sometime would you like to come?" Adam asked.

"Sure that would be lovely," Teela said. "Would it be alright father?" she asked Man at arms.

"Yes it would be fine, just try to be back by dinner," Man at arms said.

"Okay," Teela said.

"Don't worry about it," Adam said.

Then the two of them headed out. Adam and Teela were enjoying the woods and all of it's beauty. "This place is truly wonderful, the evergreen forest is one of my favorite places on Eternia," Teela said.

"Yes it truly is a wonderful place," Adam said. "There is a lot to see," he said. "There are a lot of animals and plants the make this place such a beautiful and peaceful place," he said.

"You're right," Teela said. "I enjoy being here with you most of all," she said. Teela felt many good things about Adam and she loved him. But didn't know how to tell him.

Then they saw something. "Look is So-ar I wonder what is going on," Adam said.

"We better see for ourselves," Teela said. They headed to castle grayskull.

They saw the sorceress. "Sorceress is something wrong?" Adam asked.

"What is going on?' Teela asked.

"There is a problem," Sorceress said. "It seems that Cobra Khan and Beast Man are after an old artifact that allows control over reptiles," she said. "They are planning on using to control the reptiles of Eternia so they can take over," she said.

"Sounds like a job for He man," Adam said.

"It sure does," Teela said smiling.

"By the Power of Grayskull!" Adam said holding up his sword. Then he transformed into He man. "I have the power!" he said. "Let's go Teela," he said.

"Indeed," Teela said.

They headed to where the artifact maybe. Cobra Khan was looking for it through the brush. "You are certain it is around here Beast man?" Cobra Khan asked.

"I am sure," Beast man said. "The temple to find it is right around here." he said. "I know my stuff when it comes to animal control artifacts," he said.

"I know but you don't know much when it comes to directions," Cobra Khan hissed.

"Watch it reptile," Beast Man said.

Then Cobra Khan found it. "Ah here it is," Cobra Khan said. "The entrance to the temple," he said. Then they went in.

"That must be the temple the sorceress told us about," Teela said pointing.

"Yes it is and from the looks of it Cobra Khan and Beast Man had already gone in, so we should be careful," He Man said.

"That's true," Teela said. "Now let's head in." she said. They went into the temple. They started to look for Cobra Khan and Beast man. "Hey look at this," she said. "Ancient writing, my father had me learn this language," she said.

"What does it say?" He Man asked.

"It's a warning, it says there is a guardian of the relic that Cobra Khan and Beast Man are after it will attack to make sure it won't fall into the wrong hands," Teela said. "If it is take from the temple the creature will go on a rampage until the relic is returned," she said. "So we better keep those two from taking it before that guardian creature causes trouble." she said.

"Good thinking," He Man said.

Cobra Khan and Beast Man found the room where the relic was. "Here it is the relic we have been looking for," Beast man said.

"Hmm I have uneasy feeling about this right now, even though I want it," Cobra Khan said.

"It's not like you to worry like this Khan," Beast Man said. "You must be getting soft," he said.

"What was that?" Cobra Khan asked flaring out his hood grabbing Beast man.

"Nothing," Beast Man said. "Now let's grab the relic and go," he said.

"I wouldn't do that you two," He Man said coming in.

"He Man," Beast Man said.

"How did he know about this?" Cobra Khan asked.

"Let's say the sorceress knew what you two were up too," Teela said.

"You can't tell us what to do, we will take this relic and will do so," Beast man said grabbing the relic. Then the stone lizard awoke and came to life and roared.

"What is that?" Cobra Khan asked.

"That is the guardian of the relic and this temple," He Man said.

"Stop I command you!" Beast Man said.

The guardian roared attacked Beast man who tried make a run for it with the relic. Then he tripped and dropped the relic which Cobra Khan grabbed and tried to run off with. Then Teela threw something at him making him drop it.

Then Teela grabbed it and saw the guardian come after her. Then He Man managed to distract the creature as Teela ran to put the relic back in it's place. During the struggle Beast Man and Cobra Khan ran off. "Good riddance," He Man said when he saw.

Then Teela placed the Relic back in place. The guardian settled down when it saw what Teela had done. It came over and nuzzled her face. "I guess now you see we only wanted to help," Teela said.

"Now let's go the guardian can take things from here," He Man said.

Once out of the temple and good deal away from it He Man became Adam again. "Teela there is something I have been wanting to tell you for a long time," Adam said.

"Oh what is that?" Teela asked.

"I love you Teela, very much," Adam said.

Then Teela held his hand and got close to him. "I feel the same way about you," Teela said.

"We better head back it will be dinner time if couple of hours so we better head back," Adam said.

"Good idea," Teela said.

They made back just in time for dinner. Everyone was happy to have them back home and heard that they had admitted their feelings for each other. They knew those two had feelings for each other all along.

"Hi in today's story you read how Adam and I made plans to go out and my father told us to be back at a certain time," Teela said. "You may have times were you go out when you get older and your parents want you back by certain time," she said. "Being being back at the time you said you would be back or before you would be back shows they can trust you," she said. "The more you keep showing that trust the more willing they will be to let you go out for longer," she said. "So when you and your parents agree on you being back at certain time do what you can to honor that agreement," she said. "Not only shows you can be trusted but shows you are ready for more freedom in the future," she said. "Bye now," she said.
