Chapter 56 That Guy from Earth
Things on Eternia were going smoothly. Right now Hannah, Diantha, Noah, Chancor, Adam, Teela, Damien, Andra, Orko and the other ringbearers were going to go to Earth for a short while. "I am so looking forward to going to earth to see my foster home again," Hannah said. "I am looking forward to seeing my old friends there and people who took care of me," she said.
"Yes I am looking forward to seeing them too," Noah said. "It has been a while since we been to earth so I am looking forward to going there," he said.
"Me too," Diantha said. "This is very exciting." she said.
Then they made it to earth. "So this is earth it sure is lovely," Foosabella said.
"I'll say such much beauty to see," Vana said.
"Such a wonderful place," Masde said.
"Looks full of music," Ero Dee said.
"Trust me it is full of music," Chancor said.
"Yes Earth has many kinds of music Ero Dee some is very old music and some very new music and their are many kids of music from different time periods on Earth," Hannah said. "You got to see a music store where they sell music CDS and such to find out," she said.
"I may not be able to see what happens in the stores but I can here the music that sometimes plays in the stores along with music in places you might not expect it," Chancor said. "Like listen now the way the birds sing mixed with sounds of the cicadas and wind blowing through the trees that is a kind of music created by nature itself," he said.
"Now that you mention it is an special kind of sound," Ero Dee said.
"Come on there is so much to see and do," Hannah said. They began to have all kinds of fun when a man approached them. Hannah knew this guy and knew he was going to give them trouble.
"What are you worthless handicaps doing here?" the man said.
"Sir we are just enjoying the day," Diantha said.
"Why are you normal people with these handicaps?" the man demanded.
"My adopted sister is normal, although she has autism she is normal like everyone else," Adam said.
"No it's disability she is to parents your parents are idiots for adopting a disabled child they should've left her to be in that orphanage with no family," the man said.
"Hey I am the prince of Eternos on Eternia and I don't appreciate you talking about my family that way," Adam said.
"Fine but you should not hang out with people who are handicapped and not like you in other ways," the man said. "You young lady I bet you stole something," he said pointing at Andra.
"I would never steal or break the law," Andra said honestly.
"People like you are the lawbreakers missy," the man said.
"Hey don't talk to my girlfriend like that," Damien said.
"Girlfriend you need to be with a white woman, because she looks more like a nanny or housekeeper than someone who should mother your children!" the man said.
"Let's dark color Trollans be ringbearers I heard about that is a bad idea I bet that dark Trollans are just as bad as nonwhites," the man said.
"Leave us alone," Andra said.
"No I will not all of you need to learn from me and separate now," the man said.
Then a police officer came up. "Is there a problem here?" the officer asked.
"Yes this black lady stole my phone," the man lied pointing at Andra.
"No I didn't," Andra said. She even showed the contains of her wallet and person and Hannah saw the man's phone in his shirt pocket.
"But your phone is in pocket leave Andra alone," Hannah said.
"Quiet you stupid Autistic," the man said.
"Leave my sister and my friend alone you have been bothering us for almost 20 minutes," he said.
"That 12 year old is right your phone is in your pocket," the officer said. "If you go accusing more people and harassing more people again Mr. Talbert I will arrest you for being a public nuisance," he said.
Then Mr. Talbert stormed off. "You all alright?' the officer asked.
"Yes officer," Hannah said. Then they were on the way. "Sorry about that guys Mr. Talbert is always like that he doesn't like people who are different and he expects everyone to be like him with his beliefs I am afraid," she said. "He doesn't understand that people who have a disability, or are different skin color or religion are all people with the same heart, mind, hopes, dreams, and feelings," she said. "I am sorry you had to go through that," she told them.
"Don't worry about it Hannah it's not your fault," Vana said. "he is just being blind," she said. "No offense Chancor," she said.
"None taken," Chancor said. "Stuff like that doesn't really bother me," he said. "I don't mind being blind," he said. "One good thing about it is don't have to worry about appearances or what I look like or other people look like," he said. "I don't care about that kind of approval from anyone, I know who I am and I try accept who others are for who they are inside too," he said.
"That is why I admire you and took you in as my apprentice Chancor you are so confident and sure of yourself, any girl would be lucky to be with you," Ero Dee said.
"You really think so?" Chancor asked wiggling his ears happily.
"I know so," Ero Dee said.
"Let's try to forget about that guy," Orko said.
"Good thinking," Andra said.
Over the next few days things were hard because Mr. Talbert would stop bothering them. Finally it came to ahead at the store. He pointed at Andra and said loud to a nearby officer. "Shoplifter," the officer grabbed Andra who found a toy in her pocket.
"I don't know how it got there," Andra said honestly.
"I told you people like her were criminals," Mr. Talbert said as Andra was being handcuffed.
"Wait officer," a teen boy in the store said coming up. "She's innocent." he said. "I recorded the whole things on my phone," he said. Then showed the officer a video of Mr. Talbert slipping toy in the pocket and how Mr. Talbert was harassing families that were non whites and families with disabled people.
Then the officer uncuffed Andra. "Sorry for that young lady," the officer said. Then he came up to Mr. Talbert. "Sir put your hands behind your back," he said.
"What why?" Mr. Talbert said as his hands were forced behind his back.
"You are under arrest for false testimony to a police officer, hate crimes, and harassment among other things," the officer said. "Miss would you like to press charges?" he asked Andra.
"Yes," Andra said.
"You all don't look like you are from here where are from one of those alien worlds?" Officer asked.
"Yes planet Eternia, I am prince Adam and this man has been bothering me, my adoptive little sister and our friends for sometime when we came here for a visit," Adam said.
"Don't worry we will see to it he won't be bothering anyone for a while," the officer said. "Have a nice day," he said. "Come along you have been a pain the department's butt for too long," he said taking Mr. Talbert away who was shouting. "You have right to remain silent sire I suggest you use it," he said.
Everyone was glad to be back on Eternia after and told the others what happened. They were surprised but glad that the problem was being taken care of.
"Hi in today's story you read how Mr. Talbert didn't like people who were different from him and didn't change and that got him in trouble." Hannah said. "When we do wrong things against someone of a certain race, or religion or disability as some sort of attack or get them in trouble that is a hate crime," she said. "Hate crimes are bad and cause many people grief and many people don't like hearing about them," she said. "Keep in mind if someone is a different race, religion or has disability they are no different than you, they are the same inside," she said. "Until next time," she said.
