Krypton. Once a planet located in the Andromeda Galaxy of the Rao system. The habitats known as Kryptonians were known as high-intellectual beings and used their vast knowledge to seek the epitome in their lives. And so, they began to build their utopia and construct numerous advanced civilizations. Logic and order were the main drives that made Kryptonians believe they should be the only residents to inherit the galaxy.

But it would ultimately be destroyed when they confront strong resistance from another planet, the Planet Gardia. And from there, an everlasting bitter conflict would soon arise between the two species for over a hundred years.

But a crisis would soon occur between the two battling species that would slowly drive them to extinction. To prevent such cessation, Krypton and Gardia must come to form an interpretation among them.

Unfortunately, this would lead to turmoils among one of their own. One such is Dru-Zod, a Kryptonian General of Krypton's military guild, who argued against such negotiations with the Gardians, claiming them of 'surrendering' themselves to their enemy. And in response to this, members of the council of Krypton disregarded his unsubstantiated arguments.

But Zod would not take their likely to their weak response.

Once negotiations commenced between Krypton and Gardia, General Zod, along with a group of rogue Kryptonians, launched a surprise coup against the council, effortlessly overthrowing them while eliminating Gardian negotiators. However, there was one specific Gardian among the negotiators Zod ordered captured alive for study. Unfortunately, due to her pregnancy, rendering her unable to fight, The Gardian Queen, Aurora, would be the one to be apprehended by the rogue Kryptonians.

With the Gardian Queen and The members of the Krypton council captured, Dru-Zod and his followers would soon be victorious until two Kryptonian brothers, Jor-El and Zor-El, lead a resistance against Zod to free Krypton from his enslavement.

But their battle would soon be interrupted when Soran, the king of Gardia, would suddenly crash in on their conflict. The news of his pregnant wife's capture led the Gardian king to unleash his unimaginable rage upon the inhabitants of Krypton.

Many of Zod's rogue forces did not stand a chance against Soran's wrath. Their numbers quickly dwindled with innumerable body drops as the Gardian King easily sliced through their ranks one by one. But Soran's rage became overwhelming to make one fatal mistake. That mistake caused Zor-El to sacrifice his life to protect his daughter, Kara Zor-El, and Jor-El's son, Kal-El, from Soran's unyielding wrath. But the sheer trauma of seeing numerous deaths would scar the two children forever.

But only through the immediate act from Jor-El, the release of his wife, Aurora, she managed to soothe her husband's wrath before vacating back to Gardia. But not before the Gardian king offered his deep condolences and apology to Jor-El for his Brother's death. To, the grieving Kryptonian accepts it.

With that annulment action, Jor-el overthrew Zod and successfully ended his coup once and for all. The council managed to reclaim its authority on Krypton.

Despite Soran's massacre against them, members of Krypton's committee pushed those responsibilities toward Zod for conspiring against them and peaceful negotiations with Gardia. With these heavy charges taken into account, Zod and his followers have been sentenced to life in the phantom zone, never to be allowed parole under any circumstances.

But restoration was another story. Krypton's civilization was cut in half, not to mention their Military was in shambles as well. By Jor-El's estimation, it would be months until restoration was complete.

As for Gardia, there was still a debt to pay for this deep treachery. But to Krypton's surprise and relief, Gardia was still open to peaceful negotiations. Despite their every reason to be wary of Krypton, Gardia truly wishes for there to be peace between the two species. So, negotiations resumed. And an agreement was reached.

To constitute their alliance with trust and consensus, Jor-El proposed a trade of knowledge and technology between Krypton and Gardia. And to which the latter species agrees.

With this in mind, both opposite planets make the necessary preparations to exchange their offerings to one another. But just before the Kryptonians could receive Gardia's contributions, Krypton was suddenly met with an unexpected visitor.

A visitor that the Kryptonians manage to deduct his name. The name was identified as Brainiac.

(-Krypton-)

It was supposed to be a normal day for Krypton. Peace was supposed to take hold on the planet now that the war with Gardia was officially over. Rebuilding their city and military was meant to be their main priority.

But this invasion was the last thing anyone expected to happen. It came unexpectedly, came out of nowhere. And because of their weakened state, Krypton was powerless to defend itself against this new incursion.

In their sheer panic, the people of Krypton continue to flee from the innumerable meteors that continue to crash down upon them. Each fiery projectile collides with numerous vehicles, buildings, and historical statues, virtually destroying them down to the ground while the intense flames continue to envelop the region.

But what emerged next was an army entirely comprised of robots. Each one identical to the other, these robots were equipped with surprisingly advanced exoskeleton armor, along with skinless muscle. But the most disturbing similarity was humanoid-shaped skulls with violet glowing circles on their foreheads.

The robot army continuously strode through the ravaged streets in pursuit of the fleeing Kryptonians. They expressed no remorse whatsoever for the damage they caused around them. All that mattered to them was their one objection. To find, capture, and kill every Kryptonian they come in contact with.

However, one Kryptonian, a teenage girl with blonde hair fastened in a ponytail, hides behind one of the fallen debris statues to conceal herself. Peering her head out, the Kryptonian named Kara Zor-El watches the many citizens continue to flee for their lives in terror.

Kara pulls her head back as she lets out a shuddered breath before she looks at her hands. And in that second, her vision flashes to that day. Her hands were smeared with her father's blood, followed by frightened wails of her baby cousin. And finally, a familiar bellowing roar erupts along with green glowing eyes.

"No, not again…" Kara shakily mutters to herself. She manages to shake her head off the memories out of her head as she has to focus on the ongoing current event. She has to move now before it's too late.

With an attentive look, Kara takes another look at the area. She sees that the robots have moved on to another place, which gives her the chances she needs. Readying herself, Kara leaves her hiding space before making an immediate sprint. But she runs in the opposite direction instead of following the fleeing people from the other.

The blonde Kryptonian doesn't halt her speed as she continues running. She regrettably ignores the terrified screams of those she passes by, even passing the ones she calls friends. All that mattered to her was that she got to her destination as fast as she could.

But suddenly, additional meteors crash down in front of Kara, compelling her to immediately take cover to nearby debris.

The young Kryptonian attempts to peek out to see. But only to immediately pull back as she instantly spotted more invading robots approaching her area. And to her fear, one of them was moving toward her with its arm stretched out.

She shakily breathes as she tries to figure out how to escape this predicament. But nothing comes to her. It was hopeless.

But to her relief, the robot was suddenly blasted by one of the approaching squad of soldiers from Krypton's remaining military, which soon compelled all the robots to respond in kind. Unfortunately, it did not last long.

The invading force effortlessly pushes through Krypton's forces, knocking them in the air, impaling their heads with their hooked hands, or incinerating them with their laser eyes. Listening to their horrifying screams was enough for Kara to flee from the massacre. But only to suddenly trip on her own feet, causing her to fall to the ground.

Letting out an anxious groan, Kara attempts to stand back up. But only to stop when she notices a shadowy figure suddenly envelopes her. Slowly looking up at the source, Kara lets out a startled gasp as she gazes at the thing in the sky.

It was a ship. An enormous humanoid skull ship that's unlike anything ever witnessed before. There can be seen spider-like legs at the bottom of the ship that look like it is capable of movement on any terrain of the land. Finally, there can be seen multiple three-clawed appendage tentacles sprouting out of the occipital part of the back of the skull ship.

But what gives this ship an ominous appearance are the glowing purple hollowed eyes like it could stare into your soul. That is what Kara feels right now as the ship stares down at her with its soulless eyes. At the same time, she noticed the robots suddenly turn emotionless upon her before they gave chase after her, which Kara immediately motioned to run.

Kara makes an effort to run as fast as she possibly can. But to her fearful reaction, she hears the pace of the robots slowly increase as they draw near her every second they move. It looked like she wasn't going to make it. But luck favors her as the young Kryptonian spots a nearby tunnel enough for her to enter.

Without a moment to waste, Kara gets into the tunnel. And because of their heightened prominence, none of the robots incapable of pursuing their target into the underpass. After the next few seconds of crawling, Kara reaches the other end of the tunnel, successfully escaping the pursuers. At least for the time being.

Getting back to her feet, Kara turned around to see the destination she was trying to reach. The one place in all of Krypton where the young Kryptonian can feel safe was her home. And hopefully, her mother, Alur In-Ze, is there as well. Maybe she has the solution to stop this invasion.

Everything was relatively barren as Kara made her way through her house. So far, her mother was nowhere in sight as the young Kryptonian ventured further through one of the hallways. Kara knows that her mother is still here because Alur had informed her that she needed to remain here as something important requires her utmost attention.

Kara slowly makes her way up to the balcony of her home, and she is left stunned by what she sees. She was able to catch the full sight of the Skull ship floating above one of Krypton's prominent municipalities, Argo City.

Once it positions itself in the city center, it acts with no hesitation. The bottom of the skull-shaped ship fires a blue light right below Argo City.

The sheer brightness of the blue light forces the startled Kara to shield her eyes. But she managed to glimpse through her arms to see what was happening. Before long, Argo City begins to fade in and out digitally for the next few seconds until it vanishes completely. Once the city was gone, the Skull Ship suddenly flew high into the sky until it was out of sight.

And that was it. Argo City, one of Krypton's most important cities, was gone. It vanished into thin air, leaving only an enormous crater in its wake.

Kara was left even more horrified than before by what happened in front of her. It was almost like a familiar sight to her. Her mind begins to bring back the memories of the day before this.

The day that the Gardian king Soran laid waste to Krypton's forces. She fearfully witnessed the sheer carnage committed by the Gardian King effortlessly firsthand. To her, his presence was intimidating, especially his glowing green eyes when he stared back at her. And worst, the death of her father comes next. The blood that dripped on her from his chest wound. His eyes gazed at her, giving her a final apologetic look before succumbing to his death.

The memories of those recent days combined with the current events now become too much for the female Kryptonian to handle. She didn't even realize one of the invading robots slowly approached her from behind until it was too late.

Kara let out a startled gasp when she turned around to see it extend its arm toward her. But instead of running, she just stood there.

Kara realizes that there is no point in running anymore. There was nowhere else for her to go now. She couldn't escape them. All she can do is close her eyes and accept this fate. And the robot readies to oblige her submission until it suddenly was blasted from behind.

Surprised by this, Kara turns to the shooter responsible. "Mother!" she exclaims in sight of her mother.

Alura quickly blasts another robot down with her blaster before turning to Kara. "Kara! Come quickly!" The older blonde Kryptonian urgently tells.

Without a moment to waste, Kara quickly rushes over to her mother's side while her mother provides cover for her daughter. Once she gets to her, Alura quickly seals the door shut to keep the remaining robots out for the time being.

"Stay with me, Kara." The older blonde advises her daughter as they ignore the banging sound from outside.

Seeing her mother alive was a relief to Kara. But it didn't ease her frantic about what she just saw earlier. "Mother, t-the ship-" she begins to stammer out. "Argo City's gone! Millions of people…"

"That's only the beginning." Alura, unfortunately, reveals, shocking her daughter as they venture through the hallway. "Brainiac's destabilized the planet's core. Krypton won't last much longer…"

"What about Gardia? Can't they send someone to help us?" Kara pleadingly asks in hopes that their recently made allies will come to their aid.

Unfortunately, The older blonde Kryptonian quickly replies. "By the time they arrive here, it'll be too late."

"But all your research, isn't there something you can do?"

"That's why we're here, Kara." Alura assures her daughter as they both enter a room filled with numerous highly advanced computers and technology. But the object in the room center was what got Kara surprised.

"A spaceship?" Kara questions as she turns to her mother. "That's what you've been working on for so long?"

Alura nods in confirmation before she heads over to the ship's console. "You're uncle Jor-El discovered a planet that can sustain Kryptonians, far away from Brainiac." The older blonde explains as she proceeds to set the necessary coordinates. "He's built a ship just like this for your cousin, Kal."

Kara gazes at the ship before her while surprised by her mother's revilement. This was originally meant for her cousin. "But Kal…He's just a baby…!" The younger Kryptonian says as she turns to look at her mother.

Seeing her daughter's confusion, Alura slowly makes her way toward her. "Which is why you'll need to protect him. Teach him our ways."

"Me, teach him?" Kara dumbfoundedly questions the responsibility placed on her. "What about you?" Why would her mother entrust her with this sole task? She was coming with them.

But a sudden change in her mother's look hits Kara with a realization. "No…no…" she whispers before becoming fully frantic. "No. I won't leave you!" Her eyes begin to tear up. "Please come with me!"

She already lost her father. She can't lose her mother too, it wasn't fair.

Seeing her daughter's fear saddens Alura. She understood Kara's grief. She didn't want to put this kind of pressure on her daughter at all. She wished things didn't have to be this way for them, for anyone on Krypton. But it is. There was no other choice. It just had to be done.

"I can't come with you. But you will never be alone." Alura tries her best to assure Kara as she gives her one final hug. "You belong to the House of El, Kara. A house of hope. Never forget that. Never give up hope."

Kara lets out a small whimper as she hugs her mother back. Kara won't forget those words. She vows that with her life.

But their final moments are abruptly halted when they hear a sudden banging from outside. Brainiac's robots will barge in here soon. They have to hurry.

"Get in!" Alura urgently tells Kara to get inside the spaceship.

Once she straps herself in, Kara turns to take one last look at her mother. But to her horror, Brainiac's robots manage to break the door down.

"NO!" The frightened Kara screams out to her mother in a desperate attempt to warn her of the robots behind her. But it was all in vain when the robots lifted her mother by the head before her spaceship immediately blasted off out of the house.

Once it was in the air, Kara's ship's speed accelerated to drive past the planet's atmosphere. Within seconds, it reaches into space and continues onward, trying to escape the demise fate of Krypton.

Kara distraughtly looks beyond the empty void of space. And within moments, she finally sobs out her sorrows and heartache.

She couldn't believe this was happening. Everything she ever loved was about to be wiped off the planet. And there was nothing she could do to save it, absolutely nothing. All these thoughts make her wish this is just another one of her nightmares. But it's not, it's reality. A reality that she's forced to accept. She was all alone now.

Well, almost alone.

During her sobbing, Kara's teary eyes spot another similar ship flying in next to hers. She glances through her window to see her baby cousin, Kal-El, wrapped in his blanket as he peacefully sleeps without a care in the world.

Seeing her cousin escape Krypton helps put Kara's fears at ease. They're gonna be together now. It's all going to be okay.

BOOOOOOM

A powerful explosion erupts from behind the two fleeing vessels. It was all gone, the planet Krypton was no more. All that remained was millions of rubble flying across every direction.

The explosive shockwave causes the fleeing ships to shake.

And in a great panic, Kara braces herself. "Hold on, Kara. Hold on…"

Unfortunately, one of the remnants of Krypton slams into Kara's ship, causing it to knock her off course trajectory. And to Kara's horrible realization, she was going to other way. All while her cousin continues his path toward Earth by himself.

"KAL! NO! NO! PLEASE! KAL!"

Injustice 2: The Incursion

To be continued…

Here we go!

As I promised, a sequel to the Injustice storyline begins now. It's a little shorter than my usual standards when I write these stories. But it'll all come together when I try to binge-write whenever I can.

Aside from that, I do hope you enjoy the opening of this chapter. Because now the story begins. Wish me Luck!

But first, I'll answer your questions.

Regarding everyone's curiosity about my take on the storyline.

I've read almost all of the Injustice 2 comics. But right now, I wanna focus on writing on the video game first before I go into the comic series. But there will be references from the comics and differences, differences that will change the story forever.

As for the pairings for my OCs. Right now, there's not much to say except to see where the story takes us until we see if they show interest. Or maybe even beyond this story.

I hope this helps answer your questions for the time being.

So without further ado, I'm signing off!

PS: Injustice belongs to the DC Universe. I don't own anything related to them at all except for the OCs.

Goodbye, for now.
