(Chapter 10: Time for an Overhaul: Finale)
It would soon be the start of July and with it came the preparations for the final attack against Overhaul and Shie Hassakai, something that Izuku and the strike team assembled were all too ready to engage upon. Given that despite his nerves over facing what would be his truest test, of what he could one day accomplish as a hero, he was nonetheless resolute in making sure that Overhaul would be defeated once for all, as his conscience and very spirit would not allow the man who would harm children to see the light of freedom ever again.
And yet as he did so, he could not help but feel an undercurrent of trepidation in his bones, as the psychic disturbances were a warning flare that things would not be so easy of a landslide victory as he had hoped.
(July 3rd, 998. M41, 7:08 Pm, Zenthon, Tokyo, Japan)
It would be later into the evening as Izuku was looking at his Hero costume that he would be wearing for the attack on Overhaul's base in Kyoto.
"So how are you feeling, Izu? Are you going to be ok for the attack this Friday? I know it is going to be pretty intense; with what you have to do...I just want to make sure you are going to be ok." Toga questioned the green-haired Psyker
"I am as ready as I'll ever be…To be honest, Toga, I still have a bit of nerves over this." Izuku answered back as he looked over at his hero costume once again
"I won't sit here and say that you shouldn't feel nervous. For fucks sake, you're about to go up against one of the biggest crime bosses in Japan. If anything, I would be questioning your sanity, if you weren't nervous about this." Toga said in seeing it as perfectly normal for Izuku to have nerves over what was soon to be
"...The one thing that I hope happens; when we do do this. Is that I get this done with as little of casualties as possible. I do not want to have the blood of any teammates that do this with me on my hands." Izuku replied in hoping to evade any deaths possible on his outting
"It is why I have been studying those with ice-based Quirks, to go alongside my other elemental-based abilities. All of my powers thus far have been purely in the way of offense and destructive so far. I have realized that I am lacking in the way of anything defensive to protect myself from harm. Therefore, I have taken to studying ice-based Quirks and experimenting with creating barriers with my psychic powers." Izuku informed the knife wielding blonde
"You have ice powers? Since when was this a thing, also I need to know this right now…Can you or can you not make Twice, Eri and I popsicles?!" Toga questioned while also realizing her friend could make her slushies and popsicles for free
"I had been working on them ever since Mr. Endeavor made the offer to intern under him. At first, I did it so I could expand the capabilities of what I could do with my psychic powers. But as time went on, it evolved from doing so to have another method of versatility to my Quirk." Izuku answered back as he manifested a prism made of solid ice in his hand
"It is still a bit rough in regards to my creating solid constructs with it. However, given a few months more to practice with my telekinetic abilities. Then I will be able to do a variety of different things with my ice abilities." Izuku further informed her as he morphed the prism into a rough approximation of a pyramid made of solid ice
"That is so cool, Izu…But I still want to know if you can make popsicles for later?" Toga said
"Yes, Yes I can." Was Izuku deadpan of a response while Toga cheered at being able to get free popsicles for life
"Still, once this is over, it is going to be nice to know that I have taken down a crime syndicate. All before my first year at U.A begins…I never would have thought that I would get this far; when I was still at Aldera." Izuku added in finding it odd to believe that over 6 months ago he'd gone from Quirkless to interning under one of the top heroes in the country
"Look at it this way, now you have bragging rights over everyone else when you get there! I bet everyone there including that jerkass Bakugou you used to talk about, are gonna be super jealous! One of my bestest friends is taking down a crime boss and he's not even a pro yet, now that's awesome." Were the excitable words of Toga
"Now that you mention it, I haven't even thought about him in weeks. I don't know what it is, but I have felt better than ever lately, and all without Kaachan bothering me…Now that I have gotten this far, I can say that I-I actually really feel great about myself and what's ahead of me." Izuku spoke with a small yet genuine smile cross his face
What with it having been in these recent months from the new year up until this point, that Izuku rarely if ever thought about Bakugou except in passing or in the rare times that he would think upon how he'd progressed with his Quirk and the differences of what he once was and who is currently existed as. Which in his honest was a welcome change all things considered, as the less that his 'friend' came up within the recollections of his memories, the better he had felt of himself as a person on top of having a consistent reminder of the fact that his relationship with him was truly unhealthy and highly toxic overall.
"Good, the less that dickhead is on your mind, the better…By the way, you know that my offer still stands to get rid of him right?" Toga told the green-haired Psyker
"And while I appreciate the offer, I am still going to say no. I may not feel the same way that I used to towards him. But that does not mean that I want him assassinated…It is complicated with how I feel about him." Izuku spoke in still trying to reconcile the odd mix of feelings towards Bakugou
"The only thing I will say about him is that he's a shitty friend; who doesn't deserve the grace you give him." Toga told her green-haired friend
"I don't understand what it is that compels me to give him grace as my 'friend' either. However, I do know that it is fleeting, Toga, that any relationship, friendship, or what have you with him isn't healthy for me at all. That is why after Overhaul is dealt with, I really need to rethink where he stands in my life." Izuku responded
Wherein the Psyker had these past few months in working out the strength and versatility of his Quirk, that he had continued to reexamine and break-down the context and inner workings of his friendship with Kaachan, if it could be called such. Given that while he was able to logically recognize it as severely toxic and damaging to his mental state and development to go further beyond in his chosen path, that for some reason there was still a tether emotions wise that he couldn't figure out. Something that despite his logic and reasoning telling him otherwise that Bakugou was bad for him, that he couldn't fully dissociate and detach this emotional tether from his mental being and as such knew that once the threat of Overhaul was dealt with, that he needed to further break down why things were as they are with his attachments to him.
"If there is anything I can do to help out, just let me know Izuku. I am always here if you want help!" Toga told her immensely powerful psychic of a friend
"Thank you, Toga, I really do appreciate it." Izuku thanked the often manic blonde
"Of course! You helped me when I needed saving, so the least I can do is pay it forward and make sure you are going to be ok!" Toga said as she gave the psychic young man a side hug to further help in easing his frazzled nerves
"Thank you…any way I would appreciate it if I could have a few minutes to myself. With everything that has been going on lately, it feels like I haven't had any time to really think things through." Izuku requested regarding the whirlwind of events almost feeling smothering to him
"Alright, but let me know if you need anything." Toga said as she left Izuku to his own devices
'This weekend really is make or break…I'll see if I can actually make it in the Hero world; once I get to and graduate from U.A. All I have to do is survive what comes next, no pressure right?' Izuku said to himself as he stared at the Hero Costume made for him by Twice that almost seemed to stare back at him (His hero costume at the moment looks like a combination of his Hero Costume Gamma with Broly's Saiyan armor)
(3 days later, Kyoto, Japan, July 6th, 998. M41, 12:00 Noon)
It would be high noon as the gathered assault team lead by Izuku and Hawks was ready to storm the compound that Overhaul called all his own, the green-haired Psyker doing last minute check-ups to make sure he was properly strapped in and ready to go.
"Are you ok there, Midoriya? You seem a little nervous." Hawks asked Izuku who was looking at the helmet of his hero costume with a thoughtful look on his face
"Oh…Sorry, I'm just a bit lost in thought is all, Mr. Hawks." Izuku answered back as he looked up at the feathered hero
"To be honest, I still can't believe we're about to do this…I never would have thought that I would do anything like this. It almost feels like something from an action movie to be fully transparent." Izuku further spoke regarding the feeling of high-energy nerves and excitable energy towards the mission at hand
"I'll share something with you, that might help…I still get nervous when I have to do stuff like this against villains and cartels across the country." Hawks replied
"Really, you still get nervous?" Izuku questioned as the Wing Hero nodded
"Yup, every now and again, I still get the butterflies before a big mission. It doesn't happen all that often these days, since I'm a god-tier hero now. But I still get pretty super nervous, when things are about to get crazy." Hawks answered back
"Then how do you get past it, Mr. Hawks? How do you stay calm under pressure when you have to do something super important?" Izuku questioned further as Hawks simply smiled back at him
"I just remember that at the end of the day, I'm just that guy...That no matter what happens that I made it to the top because I worked hard for it. But most importantly, that if I could get through everything that led me to where I am now; then getting through this should be light work by comparison." Hawks answered back as to how he regularly got through his own set of nerves
"I know it might seem weird, but honestly its how I get through it all. I hope that it helps you get through this, Midoriya." Hawks said to the green-haired Psyker
"I think it just might, Mr. Hawks…Thank you, I actually do appreciate it." Izuku said back to the Wing Hero
"No problem, anyways, I'm going to check in with theothers and see how they're doing." Hawks spoke as he went over to the others who were assembled for the mission at hand
'Here goes nothing.' Were the thoughts of the green-haired Psyker as he put on his helmet
Wherein after making sure everything was a go for their attack, Izuku had then proeeded to use his psychic powers to give everyone an additional layer of protection via psychic barrier that was layered around them; to help them withstand and endure psychic attacks. The young man in question having done so as a safety precaution knowing that after the immense psychic disturbance he had sensed beforehand, and even now the feeling of wrongness that pervaded the area; that Izuku decided it would be better to be safe than sorry.
As such after everyone was covered in their barriers of otherworldly protection; did they make their descent into the compound of Overhaul; which for all intents and purposes and much to their surprise that the entryway was left unguarded, and yet the foulness of the eldritch taint of Tzeentch was so intense over the area; that Izuku felt horrid. The green-haired Psyker as they traveled further and further into the base itself did Izuku feel as though is stomach was roiling as though it were a dryer put on 4 times it's normal output, his skull pounding as though it were put before a pneumatic press, and his blood rushing with such force that it made his mouth feel as though it were wrapped in copper wiring.
Despite this, the assembled strike team continued resolute in finding where Overhaul was waiting for them, with Izuku's sensing the chaoticly dense Warp signature below them, and soon found themselves descending further and further until they found themselves in the cavernous labyrinth within. The vastness of it being such that it felt far too large to be an underground laybrinthe system, and too unreal given that the walls seemed to shift between being solid as stone, as liquid as bubbling tar, or even having screaming faces pleading for death in languages none could understand before phasing back. All the while the light around the place itself shifted through various shades of gold, blue, and even violet with such rapidity that it was borderline naseauting to look at, as the area itself smelled of sulphur, mildew riddled corpses, and rotting book pages.
However, as they continued to traverse the strange labyrinth towards Overhaul whose presence that Izuku was sensing through the Warp became more and more twisted and perverse, as though he were messing himself with multiple presences both Quirk wielder and psychic abomination alike. The team in question was soon beset upon by not only a small pack of Mutalith Vortex Beasts, and a swarm of Screamers and Blue Horrors came running after them in a violent horde.
As such the strike team were forced to fight against the horde of Tzeenchtian Daemons, wherein Izuku was the first to make short work of the Blue Horrors via using a blast of psychic lightning so intense that any of those he targeted were not so much banished from the material realm as they were flat-out evisecerated and turned to dust. Something that gave the Screamers and Vortex Beasts pause at the fact that the daemons in questioned that were outright diseintegrated by the green-haired Psyker were not banished but flat-out obliterated from existence gave them a moments' notice of horror at such raw power in the Warp. Something that left the Strike Team in question the capacity to go forth and take the fight to the Daemons in vicious fashion, given that with Izuku sensing the foul creatures as abominations that made his very blood curdle in repulsion; it almost seemed to whip his powers into a frenzy.
Given that not only did the psychic barriers that he used to defend his allies from the psychic attacks hurled at them from the airborne Daemons who would hurl blasts of psychic flame; hold from the otherworldly attacks. Yet it was when the Vortex Beasts neared them as Hawks, Ursus Major and Jotunn now having used the Storm Giant aspect of his Quirk to turn into a 20 foot tall electric blue skinned giant of a man, would battle against said beasts who had Tzanngor's fused to their backs as some form of distorted Centuaur-like union; did something strang happen. That being that their very being was caustically ate away as though someone had taken sulfuric acid and fired it out of a fire hose at full-blast; with each strike those who were protected by Izuku's psionic barriers landed against them
All the while Izuku who was working in concert with another Vigilante named Stargazer who true to his name was firing blasts of royal violet concussive blasts of energy from his eyes, and Izuku unleashing torrents of psychic lightning did they too have the effect of destroying the daemons before them. However, much to Stargazer's surprise were his beams not only tinged in emerald psychic might thanks to Izuku's psychic barriers, but it also spiraling out and refracting against any target it struck against, almost as though Izuku's innate hatred for these abominations of the Warp were so intense; that it compelled his Quirk to exterminate them.
And yet Izuku himself who not only maintained the barriers to protect his allies from the abominations of Tzeentch, but did all that was needed to reinforce them and unknowingly empower them to kill the things that he felt to his very bones were things that should not exist that much quicker. But his powers as he unleashed them be it through the blasts of emerald lightning, shards of ice that upon impact exploded into explosions of permafrost so cruelly cold that you could nearly see their breath, amongst blasts of psionic force to crush anything in his line of sight. That his attacks almost independent of his will sought out the creatures and would crash into them with such lethal force that holes the size of small children were punched through them, as though guided by this instinctual repulsion of the abominations before him.
Hence why in the span of 9 minutes did the strike team in question defeat the Tzeentchian abominations, the room being covered in the floating and spiraling debris and ichor of the Warp daemons that had faced off against. Yet amidst this was the fact that as they would continue onwards after a check to make sure that everyone was doing well within the aftermath of the attack, would Hawks make note of the fact that note of the fact that as they traveled deeper and began to traverse more of the labyrinth that Izuku began to change.
Given that not only were his eyes glowing bright neon green from within his helmet, but the fact that his hands were vibrating with such psychic power that it seemed as though they may catch fire from the constant build-up of psionic might coursing through him, as the while he could almost swear that the glow of it was such that you could almost see his skeleton illuminate from within. As such as they traversed the maze like depths to encounter more Tzeentchian abominations that would come within their crosshairs, navigating their way around traps of eldritch might, that would spell doom for anyone caught within. With them ranging from portals that would lead to worlds unknown, clawed and tentacled limbs randomly springing from nowhere that would split open with lamprey like maws to devour you, or pillars of bluish flame so bright that they would melt you to molten flesh in seconds.
Yet it would be as they did so, after what felt like countless hours of wandering throughout it's expanse with Izuku's almost compass like navigating to direct them to where Kai Chisaki/Overhaul presided, and much to their surprise as they saw him awaiting them…that he was anything but what they expected. Given that instead of facing the bird-masked man that they had expected to find, did they encounter what could only be described as a bipedal chimera of humans and Daemon alike; that made those in attendance unable to peel their eyes away from the sight that bolted them to the ground out of sheer horror.
Wherein he had turned himself into a 22 foot tall daemonic abomintion that pulsed and warbled with the combination of Quirks and psychic might of Daemons he had absorbed into himself through the use of his Quirk, to give him unnatural strength and muscularity to the point his skin split open in random sections; changing from scaled, to feathered and back to human at random intervals. His left arm becoming overly muscular to the point you could see veins straining against it and instead of a fist was the face of a combination of Mutalith Vortex beast and Pink Horror, his other arm was split at the elbow, covered in thorny foot-long bone spurs and constantly emitting either neon blue fire, or sorcererous energies. His legs were a combination of a velociraptors and a Harpy eagles covered in a carapace of concrete and astral fire, his chest having widned to reveal that where his stomach was was a warbling void of Warp energy mixed with human flesh.
Then to top it off were the two heads that comprised the monstrous form that was now Overhaul's chimeric form was one that resembled a cross between a Pink horror and the face of a condor; if its beak would split in all four directions horizontally everytime that it moved. Then there was Overhaul's original face that seemed to be stretched and looked more akin to melted wax molded to resemble a person's face, while his plague doctor mask was fused to his body in a combination of pink and blue fleshy tendrils and writhing hooks made of bone that had stitched into his face.
"W-What kind of monster even are you?" Were the only words that Izuku could even say
"I am what is needed to be in order to crush you. You, the miserable worm who had the gall to get in the way of the changes I would bring about. Especially, after you took what was mine! What was meant to be the greatest tool in shaking the foundations of the world as we knew it! That thing will be mine soon enough as I deliver you, your allies, and everyone in Tokyo to my new patrons." Overhaul's voice range forth a distorted combination of voices that sounded only human by the bare minimum as it was overlaid by countless screeching voices
"You are not going anywhere near, Eri. Not after what you did to her to make those god-awful bullets, not after what I know that you did to make them…What kind of a person even does that to a child?" Izuku questioned both repulsed and horrified by what this thing even was that was once near Eri
"That 'child' is nothing more than an abomination, her Quirk is the sole reason why they must be destroyed! Why they should be regulated by me. Something that my bullets would have succeeded in curing the rot that pervades our society." Overhaul retorted in derision of Eri
"The fact that any of you are willing to stand and protect that freak of nature is beyond me." Overhaul spoke as his secondary Warp-based head cackled madly
"How can you say that when you look like a walking talking horror-show? If anyone should be called an abomination it should be you." Jotunn said as he looked on in horrified disgust at the chimeric Quick-user
"Your opinions matter little to someone who has gained the power to reshape the world around…" Overhaul began to say before a localized glacier suddenly erupted from the ground to punt him into the world above
"Thank you, Comrade Midoriya for doing that. If you had not done so, then I would have leaped forward to tear his throat out myself." Ursus Major said to the Psyker
"Not a problem, and one more thing…Everyone stay close to each other, I have no clue what he is capable of in this state. But whatever it is, it cannot be good." Izuku told them as he floated Stargazer, Jotunn and Ursus Major to fight against the chimeric monstrosity
'Well, at least I'll have something to tell the old man. He's definitely not going to believe this.' Hawks noted to himself as he flew alongside the Psyker
All the while, the chimeric monstrosity that was Overhaul was sent rocketing out the underground portion of his compound; the force of it being such that what was once a localized glacier had expanded outwards to shred and uproot a third of the compound in a far more imposing one that towered high into the sky above. Yet as he regained his bearings to focus on where his opposition was after having to tank a 'miniature' iceberg being spawned into existence with a force that dwarfed a full-force bullet train hitting him, that he narowly had time avoid the storm of emerald lightning streaking towards him. All the while multiple beams of royal violet concussive force streaked from a portion of the massive spire of frigid ice, and streaking down and spiraling there way towards him they did at a ferocious speed that could make a Heavy Bolter jealous.
Wherein the instant that Overhaul used his Quirk to reshape his cobbled-together form into shaping wings of daemonic flesh, concrete and rock to help evade them; did a floating Jotunn and Hawks come to stop him in his tracks. Wherein the lightning-wreathed giant launched a massive overhand right that shattered the right wing before it could finish forming and in the process crush his warped right shoulder into a fleshy detritus of writhing muscle and warp chintous Warp matter. Hawks on the otherhand had used a small handful of his bright-red feathers to not only shred and slice the other wing before it could form, but also tear apart as much of his left shoulder and upper-left back as possible before he saw the left arm turn towards him and stretch outwards.
As such the Wings Hero was forced to take evasive action frm the Vortex Beast headed hand that tried to not only tried to absorb him into its maw, through the use of the vortex within it; his having to spiral and twist through the air to evade it's monstrous maw. However, he did not have to do so for too much longer; given that Izuku would come flying in as though he were a human guillotine to deliver a Maine Smash, so power that it turned the monstrous limb to ash in moments; before Izuku then glared bloody murder at Overhaul and rocketed towards him at great speeds, while the cherimic abomination continued to plummet to the ground.
However, Overhaul despite crashing from the ground, his left arm struggling to even reform from Izuku's psychic powers proving so caustic; that even as he focused to try and use his Quirk to reassemble it using whatever debris and daemonic power he could to do so, he was soundly interrupted by Ursus Major leaping from seeingly nowhere and beginning to ferociously maul at his face. The large bipedal bear of a Quirk wielder raking his massive clawed hands into the warped flesh of the Tzeentchian crime boss who was staggering back, from having his face, neck, and collarbone torn into.
As such his secondary head went to blast Ursus Major with a stream of mutagenic Warp fire; to turn him into a malformed abomination, unfortunately did would not come to pass as Izuku would decapitate the head in question with a vicious Detroit Smash that came with such force that it buried Overhaul into the massive spire of permafrost and ice. This was further added upon when Stargazer let loose a beam of concussive force from his eyes so powerful that it felt as though an Volcano Canon was being fired, which in tandem with Izuku using his own variant of Endeavor's Flashfire Fist to further blast him through it.
The result was nearly half of it being blown in half from the cacaphonous explosion that blew apart a further further 3rd of the compound to molten slag, the combination of emerald and violet energy leaving nothing but pure destruction in its wake. Yet despite that did Overhaul who was sustaining full-body 3rd degree burns across his body, the flesh from his eviscerated face, chest, remaining arm, as well as both legs having been burnt or shorn off from the sheer force of it all.
'How…How are they beating me. It doesn't make any sense, I should be stronger than all of them? So how am I being beaten by this wide of a margin…' Overhaul thought to himself
Yet it was in that same instance that his attackers were already barreling towards him either by Hawks using his feathers to propel Ursus Major and Stargazer to his location, or Izuku using his telekinesis to send himself and Jotunn flying towards him. As such in his anger at having been relentlessly beaten down did he let out an inhuman roar as his stomach warbled and undulated violently, as he used his connection to the Warp gained from assimilating the various Tzzentch daemons via his Quirk to unleash utter chaos. All of this coming in the form of his stomach splitting open further into a fanged lamprey-like maw of bones, teeth and tendrils; wherein clawed tentacles with snarling mouths of fangs and bluish pink flames erupted out of him in all their fury.
However, in seeing this did Izuku almost feel his psychic powers screaming in revulsion of the oncoming abomination heading towards him and his allies, as it was as he saw it did he almost hear what sounded like souls of a violent sea howling, roaring, and braying to banish this chimeric abomination of a man from the material realm. Hence why he began to rear his left hand back in preparation for a Detroit Smash as he flew ahead to meet the swarm of tendrils of constantly shifting flesh that grew barbed hooks and claws; that would morph into screaming faces, daemonic avian-like beasts with multi-hunged jaws, and many-eyed things that all stared at him with eldritch fascination. All of this as he faced them down did he concentrate so much psychic might into his left hand that the sleeve of his costume began to burn and shred apart, as though unable to contain the raw psychic might he called upon.
All the while in order to help propel him forward did Hawks send forth more of his feathers to help him fly further faster, Jotunn and Ursus Major using their great strength to help further propel him like a bullet, and Stargazer using blasts of his optic beams to help clear a more effective path towards Overhaul…Izuku sailed through the air like a Bolter shell on P.C.P, ripping through the space around him as less of a man and more of a projectile made of wrathful psychic energy that made the material world scream from the sheer weight of psychic force he called upon.
With it taking not even so much as the space between a blink and a tear for him to cross the distance between himself and Overhaul and strike him down with the powerful Detroit Smash; the result being made evident upon contact as it would send his allies flying into the air with such force that Hawks had to create additional wings with his feathers for the other vigilantes. Otherwise as the world around them was distorted and compressed into a warped field of detritus that rendered the compound and everything outside of it in a 200 foot radius a flattened mess of debris, would they have been blasted a quarter of the way across Tokyo.
However, as the shockwave at ground zero from Izuku's punch flattened everything into nothingness; in a shockwave of emerald psychic might; were he and Overhaul's disintegrating form no longer in the annihilation of what was once his compound, but instead the multicolored maelstrom of the Sea of Souls…the raw unfettered Izuku's attack had succeeded in ripping a now frightened Kai Chisaki down to not only his base form as a heavily burned husk of a man, without a left arm, or his legs, half his jaw and upper left side of his missing; did the utter look of horror spread further and further across his face. For it was not at Izuku who still glared furiously as could be with pits of brilliant green light for eyes at him for his transgressions against Eri did he feel horror, but it was him feeling the grip of his patron Tzen'Char grasping his wounded husk of a body in the viscerally churning sea of souls.
The Daemon Prince of Tzeentch grasping Overhaul's wounded shell as it stared at Izuku from within the Warp, it's ever shifting form looking at him with a look of interest as the beast of eldritch knowledge looked at Izuku with intrigue in seeing this as the Psyker who held a psychic strength that matched if not exceeded the Daemon Primarch of his Gods' own. All the while Izuku could only stare back at the towering form of the Daemon Prince; who grinned at him with a face that Izuku could not discern as the more he tried to do so, the more it made his eyes hurt to look at in comprehending such things.
"I will admit, you are an interesting sort. To think such psychic might belongs to a child…Lord Magnus and Tzeentch will be delighted to hear of a potential sorcerer to join us." Tzen'Char spoke with a smile that seemed to stretch out for an infinity
"What are you, and what are you doing with Overhaul? He deserves to pay for his crimes!" Izuku shouted looking at the Daemon Prince who let out a laugh that sounded like a distorted cacophony of voices cackling in unison
"Don't worry, he will pay soon enough for his failures. Rest assured that we will make sure that he will not see the light of day. Not when we have such great things in store to change the galaxy at hand." Tzen'Char responded knowing that Overhaul was going to be incredibly useful going forward
"But for now, I believe it is best that both of us depart to our separate ways. Given that we have acquired something of an audience." Tzen'Char spoke as a Ultramarine ship was looking at them preparing to take aim
"Hey, what are you?! What is going on and who is this Magnus guy?!" Izuku queried as Tzen'Char opened a portal to one of the many realms of Tzeentch
"Why would I ruin such a wondrous surprise, especially when the two of you will meet in due time. After all, there are so many wonderful things beginning to shift and change. With someone of your psychic might that has so much untapped power at their disposal, I could take you and present you within my rights…But instead, even Lord Tzeentch would applaud you remaining as you are, untouched where you and create so many ripples into the futures to come that it may even bring the Imperium to its knees." Tzen'Char spoke as he began to fly through the portal
"But know this, we will meet again, child. I am Tzen'Char one of the greatest Daemon Princes of the Architect of Fate. You are not ready yet, but soon, soon will be to join our ranks…perhaps Lord Magnus may even keep you as an apprentice to be with the powers you wield. But until then, farewell, child and may the fates be in your favor." Tzen'Char added as he stepped through the portal with Overhaul in tow
Wheren Izuku who was left within the Sea of Souls again looked at the strange ship that began to head towards him, he did the only thing he could in this instance in not wanting to face who or whatever was within it, and that was will himself back to where his allies was. Those aboard the ship in question watched as not only a Tzeentchian Daemon Prince was there in the middle of the Warp, but had conversed with a young man who was not unaffected by the raw Warp itself, but conversed back in kind without going mad. All before tearing himself out of the Warp in question in a spiraling blast of emerald flame and Warp might, that left the leader of the ship in question, none other than Mikael Fabian who was returning from a successful campaign against one of the Night Lords warbands knew one thing..
"This…This is going to be a fantastic report to give to Lord Marneus and Lord Tygerius." Captain Mikael Fabian remarked to himself as he ordered his men to continue course towards Ultramar at double speed
(3 days later, Tokyo, Japan, July 9th, 998. M41, 2:10 Pm)
All the while, in the days that would follow would Izuku be able to celebrate in the aftermath of having taking down Overhaul's crime syndicate in its entirety, and yet despite the accomplishment of having done so; could Izuku not help but feel 'off' given that after having seen Tzen'Char spirit away with Overhaul…The experience being an unforgettable one to say the least, and as such Endeavor in having noticed his intern being shaken had decided to call him to his office to discuss things.
"Is there something wrong, Mr. Endeavor?" Izuku asked as he took a seat before the Flame Hero
"Given that ever since your defeat against Overhaul, last Friday. I have noticed that you have been feeling 'off' as no other way to put it... I felt that it was necessary to check in and see how things have been since your attack on Kai Chisaki's compound; days ago." Endeavor said to the green-haired Psyker
"Honestly, it has been a bit of a conflicting experience...One that I will never forget." Izuku replied
"Would you care to explain?" Endeavor questioned as the Psyker in question took a deep breath
"How much time do you have to give?" Izuku asked back
"As much time as needed to understand why you have been in a slump; these past 3 days. Especially when anyone else in your circumstances would be throwing a celebration to rival all others." Endeavor answered back keen to understand what had been going on with his intern
From there after taking a moment to compose himself had Izuku began to explain what he, Hawks and the strike team assembled had witnessed; from the encountering of daemons of Tzeentch, to Warp-based traps and the underground base having been trapped with Warp-based dangers and other eldritch pitfalls. To their encounter with Overhaul as a chimeric abomination of Tzeentchian daemons and the remaining Quirk users he could gather from the Yakuza to become an abomination that could destroy Izuku and his allies, in order to take back Eri and return to shaping the fates of Quirk wielders worldwide.
Yet the most compelling part of this was when Izuku had informed him of his entering that weird otherworldly space, wherein he had defeated Overhaul who had looked to be at death's door from his injuries, but had been stolen away by Tzen'Char who had called himself a Daemon Prince of Tzeentch.
"This is all incredibly concerning to hear, Midoriya… While it is nonetheless a great thing that you had succeeded in bringing down Shie Hassakai and the vast majority of those within. The fact that you encountered not only the things that I had feared you would one day, but also an incredibly powerful one is well…troubling to say the least." Endeavor spoke catching the young man by surprise
"What do you mean by that, Mr. Endeavor?...Have you encountered what I faced before with and the others?" Izuku questioned
"Yes, Yes I have…tell me do you remember when I said that I have faced things that would make All for One seem pleasant at best?" Endeavor asked back as Izuku nodded
"What you have encountered with Overhaul at his compound last Friday are one of these creatures. Especially with the entity that stole him away to who knows where. These abominations are nothing to be taken lightly, Midoriya. They are incredibly dangerous, relentless, and worst of all next to unkillable…What do you think it was that I had faced in the Shibuya incident, years ago?" Endeavor further spoke regarding his own history with the creatures of the Warp
"I-I don't know what to say to that, Mr. Endeavor. Honestly, I am still getting over what I saw 3 days ago. I am just glad that I was able to protect everyone from them. I do not know what could have happened; had any of their attacks hit the others. But all I know is that everything about them felt…wrong. Like they should not exist whatsoever." Izuku responded
"That is a sentiment, I share as well. Although not to the same extent as you, with your psychic abilities and how these 'things' interact with your Quirk. What I do know is that you are part of a rare few like myself to have survived and defeated these abominations. For that, I commend you, young man." Endeavor said back to the green-haired Psyker
"That brings up something else, that I wanted to share with you. I can't really explain it, Mr. Endeavor, but when I fought against those creatures and Overhaul, and even when I encountered that Tzen'Char being. I felt my powers almost screaming at me to eliminate every single one of them. It was almost like I could hear voices from another place roaring for me to destroy them all. Then when I fought against them and Overhaul, it almost felt like I was on autopilot, that everything I was doing was being supercharged and directed to get rid of them down to the last atom." Izuku informed the Flame Hero who had an almost perplexed look on his face
"And have your powers remained in this supercharged state?" Endeavor queried
"No, they have not. If anything, the day after everything had been completed, my powers returned to normal. Although, after everything that had happened, I still feel uneasy after what I witnessed…Will I have to encounter anymore of these abominations in the future?" Izuku questioned the Flame Hero
"I cannot say for certain if you will face these abominations again, young man. There could be another appearance of these wretched things tomorrow, a month from now, or even next year. Dealing with these abominations; is always an uncertainty from my experiences with them. They are not something that can be easily predicted in any capacity." Endeavor answered back bluntly
"However, what I can tell you is that not only must you remain vigilant against them. But I will also guarantee you that I will be putting out a word to a friend of mine at U.A about your encounter with these abominations. If there is anyone that can make sure that you will be accommodated and kept awares of these threats it will be him." Endeavor further spoke getting the young mans' further attention upon hearing this
"Who do you have at U.A that can help me, Mr. Endeavor?" Izuku asked
"That would be the current headmaster of U.A , his name is Nezu. Once you arrive there; after orientation and the preliminary tests conducted there. You are to see him at your earliest convenience, if there is anyone who can further help you in regards to these abominations; it is him." Endeavor answered back
"How much does he know about them?" Izuku inquired
"Enough to be what I consider the leading authority on the subject. Ever since we have begun having these incidents in Japan, he has made it something of a personal mission to better understand these creatures…That is why I think you will find him incredibly helpful; should you have to deal with these things again." Endeavor answered back
"I will make sure to contact him as soon as possible." Izuku said to the Flame Hero
"See to it that you do, and furthermore should you need it. The Agency does offer on-site counseling from opening until closing hours…I understand how much stress this can bring, as such should you need it I will have one of our best see you at the earliest convenience possible." Endeavor offered to the green-haired Psyker as he gave him a card with one of the agencies therapists contact information on it
"Thank you, I will think about it…In the meantime, do you mind if I take the rest of the day off. It has been…a week." Izuku requested as the ordeal overall of having fought Overhaul and encountering a Daemon Prince was still harrowing for the young man overall
"Of course, take as much time as needed. I am fully understanding of what you have faced, and the level of stress it has brought you. All that is needed is that you regularly check-in with one of my assistants while you are doing so." Endeavor spoke to the green-haired Psyker
"I will…and thank you for your time, Mr. Endeavor. It does mean a lot after everything." Izuku replied
"Not a problem, young man. Now go and relax, you have more than earned it." Endeavor told the powerful psychic who nodded before heading off to take time to himself
'At least he was able to withstand his first encounter with those creatures…I honestly would not blame him for going a bit mad after an experience like that. I know that I nearly went over the edge a few times myself.' Endeavor remarked to himself as he watched Izuku leave his office
(4 days later, July 13th, 998. M41, Macragge, Ultramar ,12:24 Pm)
Meanwhile, one Mikael Fabian was currently talking with both his Chapter Master and the Chief Librarian over what he had witnessed during his return from his campaign against the Night Lords.
"This is an incredibly startling development, Mikael. While it is a miracle by the Golden Throne, that you evaded having to deal with a Daemon Prince of one of the Chaos Gods. It is also surprising to hear a young man the age of one of our neophytes; was able to not only survive prolonged exposure to the raw Warp. But was also able to carry a full-blown conversation with an entity belonging to Tzeentch, and remain wholly intact." Were the words of the Ultramarines Chief Librarian
"I would not bring this to either of your attentions; if I did not think it was important. However, given the nature of what was witnessed; I felt it incredibly necessary to do so." Mikael Fabien told both the Chief Librarian of his Chapter and his Chapter Master
"Were you at the very least able to gather an accurate description of this young man in question? A Psyker who can not only withstand the raw Warp without a Gellar field, as well as contact with a Daemon Prince. This not something to be ignored whatsoever." Marneus Calgar questioned from within his immense seat
"Yes, my men were able to recreate a rather accurate likeness of him. While we cannot verify if he matches anyone within Imperial records, as far as we are aware. I would like to put forward the motion to begin a search to see if anyone matches his description within it." Mikael Fabian replied before issuing his request
"While I am one to fully admit that I do not know the limits of, nor the exact capabilities that this Psyker may have. What I do know is that to leave a Psyker, and an unsanctioned one at that in the far reaches of the galaxy at large. That it would be a blatant oversight on our to not search for them. Especially, if a Daemon Prince from what I and the Librarians were able to surmise; was interested enough to share a conversation with albeit brief, is worth pursuing." Mikael Fabian further spoke
"I will admit, having a Psyker that is a potential powerhouse and one that is able to have the attention of a Daemon Prince no doubt…To potentially have something like that in our ranks would be an incredible asset. However, I believe that Varro here would be the most qualified to acknowledge your request; given his qualifications on the matter." Marneus Calgar said back as he turned attention the Chief Librarian
"I would say that this is worth our time and attention. The fact that there is a Psyker powerful enough to withstand raw exposure to the Warp and remain unaffected by it, and a Daemon Prince; is nothing to take lightly. As such I would be very much inclined to grant Mikael's request to gather a search party for this Psyker." Varro Tygerius spoke in regards to his thoughts on the subject
"Very well, I will begin allocating men in order to search for this Psyker. I want him returned to Ultramar unharmed if possible, it would not do us well to damage a potential asset to the Chapter. Especially when they are potentially capable of turning the tides in future campaigns." Marneus Calagar added
"The task to locate this Psyker will be rather difficult, Marneus. If there are no Imperial records of him to begin with, then we will essentially be going on a witch hunt…Even if someone of this level of power; should be sought after, it does not make it any less difficult." Varro Tygerius responded
"Fair point, however, we are the sons of Guilliman. We are many things and failures at any given task we commit ourselves to is not one of them. As such, all that is needed is to allocate the proper resources, dedicate an assigned number of Librarians and Psykers to the objective, and from there it will only be a matter of time before they are found." Marneus Calgar spoke with the authority befitting of a Chapter Master of the 13th
"Very well, Marneus…As for you, Mikael your report on not only the campaign and swift victory against the Night Lords. Yet also the news of this Psyker recently encountered; have been appreciated. You and your men will be compensated for your time and efforts against the treacherous Astartes of the 8th." Varro Tigerius said to the 3rd Captain of the Ultramarines
"I was only doing my duty as commanded, nothing further." Mikael Fabian spoke back
"Nonetheless, it is to be commended still. If there is nothing else to report, then you are dismissed brother Mikael." Marneus Calgar said to the 3rd Captain of the 13th who saluted his commander before leaving to tend to his duties
"Varro, I have one further question for you before we call this counsel to an end." The Master of the Ultramarines said to the powerful Librarian
"What do you need to ask of me, Marneus?" Varro Tigerius questioned
"Should this Psyker come freely of his own volition and agree to join the Ultramarines, or at least the ranks of Ultramar itself as a sanctioned Psyker. What do you suggest that we do then? I doubt it will be long before the Inquisition finds out about this young man, and soon enough we have them bearing their teeth at us to gain someone so potentially powerful in their ranks." Marneus Calgar asked back in regards to the green-eyed psychic
"That is a tough question to ask, Marneus. I cannot say for certain what the future will hold; should he join our ranks. What I do know is that regardless of if he becomes an Astartes or not, that we must weigh our options with him carefully. Having someone this powerful in our ranks will no doubt change the state of things both within the Legion and outside of it. Therefore we must practice prudency and caution when dealing with them going forward, otherwise they will become as much of a liability to be dealt with as they are an asset to be used." Varro Tigerius answered as truthfully as he could in not sugarcoating things in regards to Izuku should he join their ranks
"That is a more than fair assessment to make of the situation. This among the other matters within the 13th; are going to prove taxing to say the least…I can already feel the migraine forming as we speak." Marneus Calgar spoke as the Chief Librarian put a light yet comforting hand on his armored shoulder
"Yet you will not be faced with this alone, Marneus. You have the support of the 13th, the advisors on Ultramar, and far more at your disposal. Do remember that your resources and the support of the Legion and its successors are here to aid you, when and if you should choose to." The Chief Librrian of the 13th told his longtime battle brother in his own version of comfort
"I appreciate it Varro, I do. I have the feeling that with what is to com, that I will need all the aid I can have to see the continued legacy of our Chapter." The Lord of Macragge spoke as the feelings of change unbound rang within the Chapter Master of the 13th
However, as both Chapter Master and Chief Librarian were deliberating on matters regards this newfound Psyker and the Ultramrines, that across the Galaxy that the Daemon Primarch of the 15th Legion was currently in talks with Tzen'Char over handing Overhaul over to him; given what he could do to finally repair the strength of his sons.
"And you are certain that this husk can repair my Legion's Geneseed? Understand, Tzen'Char I find that hard to believe." Magnus the Red said to the Tzeentchian Daemon Prince
"I only speak the truth, Lord Magnus. While he is damaged considerably from the failure to deliver what was promised to me. I can assure you that his powers are capable of such things. All that is needed is the aid of your Biomancers to repair and reconstruct him to a more suitable form, alongside some mystical enhancements; to make his doing so en masse more feasible. Then from there I promise you that, he will be able to repair your Legion's Gene-Seed in due time." Tzen'Char swore the time one-eyed Cyclops
"Hmmm, and what do you stand to gain from this? I know that you do not do favors without wanting something in return." Magnus the Red spoke his one singular eye gleaming with otherworldly might and promises of pain should he prove false in his promise
"Simple, out of the 4 of the Ruinous Powers who have Astartes Legions to command. Yours has become the most sundered over the millenia, and while I will admit that the Rubrics have served their purpose as a stopgap measure. Even I can recognize the need to erase such weaknesses, therefore I do this to improve your chances going forward. But more than that I do this so that more sorcerers will be able to serve the Architect of Fates, and discover more secrets to be unfold than what is available." Tzen'Char replied despite their constantly shifting visage their voice was even and measured in its intent
"Even you cannot deny that such a boon would be beneficial to you. Even moreso as the sons of Russ continue to draw breath and live as a constant mockery and reminder of what happened on Prospero." Tzen'Char further spoke as the telltale twitching of his remaining eye and the crack of sorcerous might around him told what it needed in regards to his fury towards the Wolves of Russ
"How could I forget that fateful day, I still owe Leman's sons the same treatment that they and my father's golden puppets gave to my sons and I that day….Nevertheless, you do make a compelling point. My Legion and more importantly my sons are in dire need of their numbers being improved. As such, I will see too it that my Biomancers and sorcerers do their best to recover him of his wounds and make the necessary rituals possible; to have him ready to do his work." Magnus the Red responded as the mention of the 6th Legion even now set his blood a furious boiling
"Understood, now then, once your sons have improved their numbers to be more suitable for future endeavors. What is your next plans going forward?" Tzen'Char questioned the Daemon Primarch
"I believe that it is time that I act more directly as it were…Once our sorcerers and the numbers of new Astartes has grown to my standards. I believe that there are needed steps to be taken to better improve things overall. Steps that will ensure that the might of my Legion and any that follow suit will grow without fail…Steps that will without a doubt improve the strength of what we are and rectify the mistakes made that have sundered them to the state they are in." Magnus the Red answered back
"And what of the Psyker that my supplicant failed to deal with? From my brief encounter with him, he has a psychic strength that rivals yours before your ascencion. If not matches that of your father before his internment in that throne that lights the Astronomicon." Tzen'Char queried
"That…I have had my eye on that Psyker you have made mention of, since his awakening. You did not think I would let someone so gifted slip through my notice?" Magnus the Red informed Tzen'Char their expression unfazed by this information
"I should not be surprised that a sorcerer of your magnitude, and someone of your arcane intellect would have their view on someone so powerful within the Warp. Nonetheless, that does not answer my inquiry, Lord Magnus." Tzen'Char further spoke to the Crimson King
"For now, I will continue to keep my gaze upon him for the time being. As it stands, I nor my Legion are in any rush to endeavor in any large-scale campaigns or search for any lost relics and artifacts that require my direct intervention. Therein, I am more than keen to bide my time and wait for his powers to expand and grow to grander and greater heights. Once I feel the time is needed, then I will make my advances known to him." Magnus the Red replied with legitimate interest in the young Psyker
"There are elements of myself before I became a servant of Tzeentch, aspects that I know would serve him well as a incredibly potent sorcerer in my ranks. As such to make the advance towards having him serve in the Thousand Sons now, would be a waste while he is still nowhere the strength of what I wish of him…No, I must time everything perfectly and succinctly in order to ensure that when I begin my moves made to have a potential equal at my side; that failure will not come with this endeavor." Magnus the Red further spoke regarding his attentions aimed at the aspiring Hero
"If this is so, then I wish you the best in that regard. This Psyker has a very strong sense of will and justice within himself, and therefore it will not be easy to bring him to your side. In addition, the Craftworld Aeldar also seek to bring him into their fold as well, so you can be assured to expect competition for your future 'apprentice' if I may be so bold in the future." Tzen'Char said back
"Indeed, but I have no doubts that I can use his desires for heroism to my advantage. After all, everyone wishes to be the hero of their own story. All it takes is a simple matter of push in perspective and changing of narratives to have him become a Hero of Tzeentch." The Crimson King said with a calculating and plotting expression etched upon his ancient features
"Then may the fates yet to come be in your favor, Lord Magnus. For there are many adversaries yet to come that present a hefty challenge ahead." Tzen'Char responded
"I understand that and thank you for your counsel on the matter, and the gift you have given me. Now then, if you don't mind I have matters to attend to and objectives to put into motion." Magnus the Red said back as the Daemon Prince obliged leaving the unconscious husk of Overhaul with Magnus
'Now then, Izuku Midoriya. Let us see to the strength of what you are. If you are truly to be my equal if not greater within the Immaterium, then let us see what truly you are capable of.' Were the thoughts of the Sorcerer King as the Primarch would have his servants take Overhaul to be dealt with as needed for what was to come
And so with the defeat of Overhaul having finally been achieved, we see that it comes with the added chestnut of not only the forces of Tzeentch being made aware of Izuku, but Magnus the Red himself as well as the 13th Legion of the Adeptus Astartes. Therefore, how will things go forward for our intrepid Psyker as more and more eyes gather upon him, as he endeavors to become a worthwhile hero? Well, you'll have to stay tuned and see for yourselves in the all-new installments of, My Psyker Academia!
Alright, that'll do it for this one as I hope that everyone has enjoyed this conclusion to the Overhaul Arc and everything that has gone on within it, as man was this a giant chapter to get done, but I feel pretty good about it overall. That being said, thank you to everyone who has stuck around so far with the story; because this cannot be anywhere near as successful as it has been without your support; because ever favorite, follow and review on what you've enjoyed thus far has been incredibly appreciated.
Yet as always and without much more to get into, this is Nomadic Chaos 888 using the power of said Chaos and our beloved Patron, Mr Blood for the Blood God and all to give you guys good stuff to read. Wherein next chapter will be a bit more downtime to happen before we start getting into U.A proper, so stay tuned for that.

Onto the reviews from the previous chapter.
Kourtney Uzu Yato: If you thought that was doozy of a chapter, then I hope you'll like this one. And glad you like the whole Izuku being friends with Mineta, because its a type of friendship that I think has its place if you get it done right. Also, with Overhaul having now failed in the offering of 90 souls to Tzen'Char; he's now going to be stuck on Geneseed repair duty for our favorite cyclops in Magnus...which is gonna make the 15th Legion a massive problem. Given that with Overhaul's abilities, it isn't too far-fetched to say he can repair corrupted/damaged geneseed and as such the Thousand Sons can now make new Sorcerers and Chaos Marines like clockwork now...so even when someone loses, Chaos takes another W. Also, I will keep you posted on the eventual Izuku with Generator Rex story, because him being a vigilante that teams up with and gets paired with a female Shigaraki (yeah I'm doing that cursed pairing) sounds like too much fun to me Also, with Sangunius the guilt is only gonna get worse once he wakes up and gets to Terra...followed by him being pissed at the Custodes who as far as he's concerned failed the Imperium and Mankind by essentially doing nothing for 10,000 years. Also, Quick Zombies are gonna make the USJ incident a nightmare...so expect someone to die, because Class 1-A is gonna have at least someone kick the bucket, who that may be I am keeping underwraps. Also, Endeavor being the way he is, is now making a lot more sense when you have people like Overhaul doing the fusion dance with Tzeentch Chaos Daemons, and chaos corrupted villains out and about. Because if a villain doesn't get Shoto, then Chaos Champions of the Ruinous Powers certainly will, because you really don't think that they're petty enough to remember that Endeavor's been fucking with them for over 20 years and that he has a uncorrupted son out and about...yeah, Shoto either gets it together, or one of the 4 Chaos Gods is gonna have a field day with him. Lastly, I hope you enjoy my Naruto story!
Skull Flame: Yeah, Stain being corrupted by Slaanesh is something I knew would happen, because wth an obsession THAT strong. There is no way that they wouldn't get corrupted by She Who Thirsts with a vengeance. Yup he sure did and as you can see, not only did it backfire on them, but now Magnus is gonna use Overhaul's powers with some sorcererous upgrades to repair his Legions' geneseed stocks and in doing so start putting out new 1K sons Marines, also while Izuku handled things rather well..he now has the Ultramarines searching for him too. Also, look at it this way would you expect anything else from Vashtorr.
