The sun beat down on the tennis court as Ryoma Echizen, the young tennis prodigy from Japan, faced off against his opponent from Britain in the Australian Open Tennis Tournament. The crowd roared with excitement as the two players battled it out, each determined to come out on top.
Ryoma's skill and determination shone through as he moved gracefully across the court, his powerful serves and precise shots leaving his opponent struggling to keep up. With a final, decisive swing of his racket, Ryoma sent the ball flying past hisopponent, securing his victory in the match.
He smirked and said his favorite phrase 'Mada mada dane.'
Back in Japan, at Kawamura Sushi Bar, the regulars gathered around the television to watch the match. The trios, Tomoka and Sakuno also there. They cheered loudly as they watched Ryoma's impressive performance.
After that, they enjoying their dishes and chatting about their day. They had been coming to the sushi bar each time there's live match of Ryoma for the past years, forming a quite close bond between them.
All the regulars had finished their study in Seigaku high school and now they attending the college. Meanwhile, the trios, Sakuno and Tomoka still in their last year of high school.
The guys had their own newfound maturity and height, but they still the same lovable goofballs that they had always been. Tomoka had decided to chop off her hair to shoulder-length haircut and Sakuno cutting her hair to a mid-length and styling it in an elegant waterfall braid.
They decided to say goodbye to each other when they finished their dishes. Tomoka and Sakuno walked back together.
As they walked, Tomoka couldn't help but notice the sadness in Sakuno's eyes. "Are you okay, Sakuno?" Tomoka asked, concerned.
Sakuno forced a smile. "l'm fine, Tomo-chan. I'm just...thinking.
"About Ryoma-sama?" Tomoka pressed. "You know Sakuno, when we talked about Ryoma-sama, it feels like you are not like before." She continued.
Sakuno looked confused. "What do you mean, Tomo-chan?"
"Well, you used to flustered or blushed each time we mentioned Ryoma-sama. I used to like to tease you about it. But now, it feels like you forgot that you have crush on Ryoma-sama."
Sakuno looked at Tomoka, then looked ahead. "I guess the feelings just die when we far from each other for so long. We didn't even communicate. Plus, we are in our last year in high school, Tomo-chan. I want to focus on myself and my future. I don't want to be distracted by..feelings."
Tomoka understood. "Yeah, I guess you are right. We don't even know when he will come back though." Tomoka put her arm on Sakuno's shoulder and smiled. "Let's do our best together."
"Yes." Sakuno smiled back.
Later that evening, Sakuno sat alone in her room, staring at a box filled with mementos of her time with Ryoma. She had kept everything- from old tennis balls to photographs - as a reminder of the boy who had captured her heart. 'I guess I won't open this box anymore.' She closed the box and kept it in her closet.
A week after that, a guy with dark-greenish hair walked through the bustling halls of Narita Airport, he couldn't help but be amazed at the chaos around him. People of all shapes and sizes rushed past him, dragging their suitcases behind them, all seemingly in a hurry to get to their destinations. It had been years since Ryoma had traveled through the airport, and he found himself lost in the sea of travelers.
Upon reaching the baggage claim area, Ryoma finally spotted his suitcase among the countless others. As he lifted it off the carousel, a strange feeling washed over him. It was as if time stood still for a moment, and he was transported back to a time long forgotten. Memories flooded his mind as he made his way towards the exit, a sense of nostalgia enveloping him.
"It's been a while." He said while continue walked.
