Ryoma decided to take Sakuno to the arcade. As they entered the brightly lit arcade, Sakuno's eyes widened in amazement at the array of flashing lights and sounds emanating from the various game machines.
Ryoma led Sakuno towards the claw machine, where they both eagerly tried their luck at grabbing a prized toy. After a few failed attempts, Ryoma finally managed to snag a cute little stuffed animal for Sakuno, causing her to squeal with delight.
Next, they made their way to the tennis arcade game, where Ryoma and Sakuno couldn't help but chuckle as he reminisced about the time he had accidentally broken one of the numbers on the machine during their middle school days, causing them to hastily run away.
The memories of their mischievous antics bringing a nostalgic smile to her face. Ryoma then handed her the tennis racket, letting her take a swing at the tennis ball. To their surprise, Sakuno managed to hit the ball right at the same number for few times.
After spending some time playing games at the arcade, Ryoma suggested they visit the Miura Shrine, a peaceful oasis nestled in the heart of the bustling city. As they strolled through the serene grounds, Sakuno couldn't help but feel a sense of tranquility wash over her.
When they saw the fortune papers, Ryoma teased Sakuno for picking out too many fortune papers for him before, causing her cheeks to flush with embarrassment. She shyly hit him on the arm, made Ryoma chuckled.
Ryoma then told Sakuno to choose a few fortune papers for herself, insisting on paying for them himself. As she carefully selected the papers, Ryoma watched on with a gentle smile, his eyes filled with admiration for the girl. He looked away to throw this weird feelings he had.
When Sakuno unfolded the last paper, her eyes widened in surprise as she read the words Best Luck written after few attempts. She couldn't contain her joy as she turned to Ryoma, a radiant smile lighting up her face.
Ryoma didn't know why but his heart swelled with happiness each time seeing Sakuno so overjoyed.
"I want you to remember what you once said to me, about how the good things will eventually come at the end. I hope this brings you some comfort, just like you've always comforted me before." He said and looked away to hide his embarrassment.
"You don't have to worry because I'm in the tournament with you." He continue.
Sakuno's eyes shimmered with unshed tears as she nodded. Her heart beating fast when Ryoma still remembered their memories during middle school.
After that, they walked together leaving the shrine place.
"It looks like it's going to rain soon." Sakuno looked at the gloomy sky.
"Yeah, we better hurry." Said Ryoma.
They tried to walk fast to avoid the rain, but not far from Sakuno's house, the rain poured heavily. Ryoma quickly took off his jacket and draped it over both of them, shielding Sakuno from the worst of the rain. They picked up their pace, trying to make it back to Sakuno's house before they got completely soaked. But despite their efforts, by the time they arrived, both of them were still slightly wet.
Sakuno quickly opened the door and called out that they were back, prompting her grandma, Sumire, to come and see what was going on.
Sumire invited them inside, insisting that they dry off and change into dry clothes.
While Ryoma and Sakuno changed, Sumire prepared hot tea for all of them, setting out some snacks in the living room. As they sat together, sipping tea, the rain continued to pour outside.
A few minutes after that, the sound of rain tapping on the windows filled the cozy room. They decided to go to their respective room to rest.
"Thanks for today, Ryoma-kun." she said with a smile before walking into her room.
She picked up the plush toy he had won for her from the claw machine, hugging it tightly. Then, she opened the small box that filled with memories of her and Ryoma.
"Looks like I'm opening this box again". Sakuno whispered to herself, smiling.
