Drinny FF
Chapter 25
At the Slytherin house party, the atmosphere was electric, filled with laughter, music, and the haze of smoke. Ginny had found herself caught up in the excitement, drinks flowing and the music pulsing. But as the night wore on, she'd clearly lost track of how much she had consumed.
When I arrived, I immediately noticed her, her laughter ringing out above the crowd, but as I drew closer, my excitement turned to concern. She was swaying, her eyes unfocused.
Draco: Ginny!
I pushed through the throng. I reached her just as she stumbled, grabbing her arm to steady her.
Draco: What are you doing?
Ginny: Having fun!
She giggled, but there was an edge to her voice.
I frowned, realizing she had drunk too much and had likely smoked as well. The party atmosphere that had felt so inviting just moments ago, now seemed dangerous.
Draco: I think it's time for you to rest.
I spoke firmly, my tone leaving no room for argument. I wrapped an arm around her waist, guiding her out of the party as she leaned against me, too disoriented to protest.
Once we reached his private quarters, I carefully laid her down on my bed. I felt a wave of protectiveness wash over me as I adjusted the blanket around her. She looked vulnerable, her usual fire dimmed, and I hated seeing her like this again.
Draco: Ginny, stay with me.
I murmured, brushing a strand of hair from her face. I watched as her eyes fluttered closed, the remnants of the party fading into the background.
I sat nearby, keeping a watchful eye on her, feeling a mix of concern and something deeper stirring within me. I vowed to be there for her, ready to protect her from whatever had caused this moment. Just as I'd done when she had a panic attack. As I waited for her to wake, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was just the beginning of something I hadn't anticipated.
I paced the room, worry gnawing at me as I watched Ginny sleeping fitfully. I couldn't shake the feeling that I needed to do something. I quickly decided to head to Madam Pomfrey for a sobering potion.
The journey to the hospital wing felt longer than usual. I explained the situation, and Madam Pomfrey handed me the potion with a concerned look.
Madam Pomfrey: Make sure she drinks it as soon as possible.
Rushing back, I entered my quarters and found Ginny sitting up, her face pale and her expression troubled. Before I could say anything, she rushed out of bed, into the bathroom, clearly about to be sick.
Draco: Ginny!
I rushed to her side just in time. Without thinking, I knelt beside her, gently holding her hair back as she threw up. The sound was unpleasant, but all I focused on was making her as comfortable as possible.
Draco: Just breathe, it'll be okay.
My fingers brushed her hair away from her face. I felt her shaking, and I wanted nothing more than to ease her discomfort.
When she finally finished, she leaned back against me, looking up at me with tired eyes.
Ginny: I'm so fucking sorry.
Draco: Don't apologize. Just drink this.
I held out the sobering potion, watching as she took it from me with shaky hands.
She grimaced as she swallowed it down, and I felt a wave of relief wash over me.
Draco: You'll feel better soon.
I reassured her, keeping my hand on her back as she leaned against me.
As we sat together, the tension of the night began to fade, leaving only the quiet between us. I knew I'd do whatever it took to protect her, even if it meant facing the consequences of the party that had spiralled out of control.
After a moment of silence, Ginny looked up at me, her expression softening.
Ginny: Can you stay with me?
I could hear the vulnerability in her voice.
I nodded, relief flooding through me.
Draco: Of course.
I settled beside her, back on the bed, our shoulders touching as she leaned into me. The warmth of her presence was comforting, and as we sat there, the tension from earlier began to dissolve.
Slowly, Ginny turned to face me, her eyes searching mine.
Ginny: Thank you for saving me. Again.
My heart raced at the sincerity in her gaze.
Draco: You don't have to thank me.
I moved a bit closer.
Draco: I'll always be here for you.
In that moment, the space between us closed, and before I knew it, we were kissing—tentatively at first, then with a growing urgency. It was soft but charged, our lips finding a rhythm that felt both new and familiar.
As we pulled away, we rested our foreheads together, both of us breathing heavily.
Ginny: We should probably stop.
My heart skipped a beat? Did she regret it? Did we go too fast?
Draco: W–why?
The smile that creeped onto her face made me stop worrying.
Ginny: Because I just threw up, you moron.
I made a disgusted face which made us both laugh.
Draco: I don't care.
Before I knew it, I had had crashed my lips back on hers. This time with more confidence and passion. Ginny's kiss was fierce, full of fire, and I kissed her back with the same intensity, as if I was drowning and she was the only thing keeping me afloat.
She pulled us apart after a while, earning a groan from me. I didn't want it stop. Ever.
Eventually, we settled back against the bed, and as fatigue washed over us, I wrapped my arms around her. Ginny nestled against me, her breathing slowing as we drifted into a peaceful sleep, safe in each other's embrace. In that moment, the chaos of the night faded away, leaving only the warmth and comfort of each other's touch.
