Five years went by.
Hiccup and Astrid's tenth birthday was approaching.
Hiccup's birthday was in three week.
Astrid's birthday was in a month.
Hiccup sat at the forge drawing ideas for Astrid's birthday present.
Hicca ask "got a lot of ideas for your girlfriend, but no chosen idea?"
Hiccup sighs "yes, I have about ten ideas for Astrid's birthday present but not one to be the best choice to make her the most happiest girl."
(Outside Hiccup and Hicca's private room)
Gobber was banging a dent out of a sword since all the weapons that had to be resharpened were done when Magnus Hofferson stops by the counter.
He ask "what can I do for you, Magnus?"
Magnus answers "I would like a double blade axe made for my daughter, Astrid."
Gobber answers "usual charge, thirty gold coins."
Hicca and Hiccup listen to the conversation and excited says "that's perfect, Hiccup! Make Astrid an axe as her birthday present."
Hiccup smile "I have to draw the design for it."
Hicca smiles "knowing how much you love Astrid, your stuff that you make is beautiful."
Hiccup walks out of his and his sister's private room and walk upto Gobber and grins "I would like to make Astrid's birthday axe."
Gobber smirks "then you better get started."
Hiccup runs back to back room and pulls out his journal and begins drawing sketch of the axe design.
An hour later, he sketch the perfect design of the double bladed axe.
Hicca looks at the design and says "it looks perfect, but should it be small size?"
Hiccup ask "can you bring Astrid here for weight lift?"
Hicca smiles "she can lift fifteen pounds."
Hiccup comments "I'm not going to say anything on how you know that, but thanks."
He walks out of the forge to the back to look at his Gronckle iron pile and says "this is enough, but I need the Nadder to reheat this pile fast."
He walks to the dragon arena to collect the Deadly Nadder.
While Hiccup was at the arena, Astrid walked to the forge and ask "is Hicca here?"
Gobber answer "she's in the back."
Astrid walks past the counter to the back room to talk to Hicca.
Hicca ask "what can I do for you Astrid?"
Astrid answers "I was wondering if you could turn this dagger into matching pair for betrothal promise?"
Hicca gape "you want to marry my brother in the future?"
Astrid blushes "yes."
Hicca sighs "I'll see what I can do, but I can't make promises."
A week past.
Hiccup woke up and walked downstairs to see his parents at the kitchen with Hicca.
They say "happy birthday, Hiccup."
Valka gave him a package to open.
Hiccup ripes the wrapping to see a case of pencils and says "thank you mom and dad."
Hicca hands him a box present.
Hiccup unwraps it to see a box and opens the flaps to see a stack of sketch books and hugs her "thank you, little sister."
Hicca grins "Astrid has a present for you too."
Hiccup ask "she does? I haven't finished her birthday present yet."
Hicca smirks "then you better hurry. You have three weeks left before her birthday."
Hiccup walks out of the house and head down the hill to Hofferson house.
Once he got there, he knocked on the door.
Magnus open the door and sighs "hi, Hiccup."
Hiccup comments "I heard Astrid wanted to see me."
Magnus grumbles "I don't think you can beat my daughter for her hand in marriage."
Hiccup blinks his eyes "I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about marriage. Me and Astrid only talk about liking each other."
Magnus lost says "you honestly didn't think you could date my daughter and ask her to marry you without proving that you can defend her?"
Hiccup sighs "I missed something."
Astrid comes to the door and says "daddy. Stop scaring my boyfriend."
Magnus smiles "yes, princess."
Astrid turns to Hiccup and says "I got you a present inside. Come inside for a moment."
Hiccup nervous follows them inside the house.
Astrid smiles "wait down here while I go upstairs to get your present."
She jogs upstairs to her bedroom and grabs a small wrapped box and returns back to the living room.
She smiles while Hiccup opens the present.
He pulls out a dagger that's a exact match of Astrid's dagger and ask "what does this mean?"
Astrid blushes and grabs his hands to hold in hers and says "this dagger means that when we get old enough to get married, your the boy I want to marry."
Hiccup hugs her close to him "thank you, love."
The villagers celebrate Hiccup's tenth birthday.
The next twenty days, Hiccup worked on the double bladed axe until it was finished.
Hicca smiled at the finished axe.
At night someone broke into the forge and took the present.
In the morning after breakfast, Hiccup and Hicca walked to the forge to see the door lock force open.
They investigate the forge to see nothing takened.
Hiccup walked to the private room to see the present gone and leaves to go tell Hicca.
Everyone gave presents to Astrid.
Snotlout presented her with a present and says "I got this for you from Trader Johann."
Astrid unwraps it to see a beautiful double bladed axe that is lighter than what it should weigh.
Hicca gasped at the axe to reconize it as the one her brother made for Astrid.
Astrid turns to everyone to notice one person didn't show up, Hiccup.
She walks over to Hicca and ask "where's your brother at?"
Hicca sighs "he didn't want to show up because your present from him was stolen last night."
Astrid gape "oh."
Hicca sighs "nice axe."
Astrid grins "thanks. Smotlout got it for me from trader Johann."
Hicca comments "if you want to know the truth about your axe, come with me to the forge."
Astrid follows Hicca to the forge to see Hiccup.
Once they reached the forge, Hicca walks to the back room to see Hiccup moping around and grabs the picture of Astrid's double bladed axe and returns to the main room to give to Astrid.
Astrid gasped at the drawing "Hiccup drew this?"
Hiccup comes out and gasped at seeing Astrid with her axe.
Hicca grins "look at the handle closely."
Astrid examined her axe until she spots the initals HHH lll.
Hicca smiles "Hiccup marks his weapons."
Astrid walks over to Hiccup and kisses his lips.
"ASTRID?! What the heck?! You give useless here a kiss on the lips and you don't give me any reward for getting you a beautiful axe that you wanted?!"
Astrid walks over to Snotlout and punched him in the jaw.
She turns over to Hiccup and smirks "see you tonight."
