Hi to all, this is your author rwby1989, and I am here to present to you the rewritten (and hopefully improved) version of my RWBY story.

How did this come about?

This version has come about from a decision I had made based on the recent failures and disruptions of Fanfiction. The site has not been working very well, with issues ranging from the email alerts to the search page not being shown to the general instability of the system, and also the Cloudflare loading page that gets stuck for a few minutes on end even after clearing the cache and history. And most recently, I lost some of the backup chapters I was doing for the old version, thankfully I have physical copies and the next chapter is not lost.

At the same time, I have gone through my old story and felt it could use some sprucing up, especially for the earlier chapters since it was a rough idea starting this. I want to continue the story, but the trolls that are coming about the site are really idiotic and tend to leave problematic comments in the story comment list or the PM.

So with all of that in mind and a poll done for my subscribers, I have decided to redo this story and to start cross-posting on AO3 so that in the event Fanfiction decides to go down again, I have a backup on hand.

What is this story about?

For new comers, this fanfic is based on a challenge presented by a fanfic user "dracohalo117", but tweaked for my own story. My first version was quite rough in its beginning so I hope to do this next version justice. My aim is to get this going until Volume 3.

Would this interfere with your other stories on FF or AO3?

Updates for this will be a little slow since I am rewriting from the beginning and having to work in real life. I will try to get this moving.
