Voltaria, disguised as Victoria Arc, was with her friends as they headed out to meet Lionheart who had promised them a positive development in their quest for Huntsmen who could help them raid the Branwen Tribe to secure the Spring Maiden. However, she knew it was a lie. So, she prepared a plan before entering. She uses her shadow to hide the dinos, the Uta Clan Warriors, and the rest of the teams to sneak attack. Thanks to Alicia, they learned that the Terminus Group wishes to assist Salem in causing chaos, by starting an attack on Menagerie and planting bombs at Haven Academy, trying to create havoc like in Vale.
Fortunately. Voltaria sent a message to Calista about the attack and warned Blake about it. She, Sun, and Ilia with the help of Ula and Stonehorn prepare in secret while they protect Haven Academy.
Soon, they meet him inside Haven Academy's Grand Hall and as they question him. They could tell that Lionheart was nervous, afraid even to utter the truth. It didn't take long to realize that Lionheart informed Raven about the supposed attack on the Branwen Tribe after learning that she was perched on top of the rails in her bird form, which Voltaria recognizes and recalls from Regina's lessons in magic that people can shapeshift into certain animals. Which was proven when Qrow turned into a bird, indicating that Raven can do it as well. Yang could sense that her mother was here and called out, causing Qrow to instantly shoot her. Avoiding the shot, Raven flies down and transforms back, making it apparent that Lionheart has betrayed the group.
Yet, they show no reaction, as they already knew beforehand.
"Huh, no wonder you were skittish." Wade responded coldly.
Raven narrowed her eyes at his comment. "So, you knew about this?"
"Yeah, as well as cooperation with the Terminus Group, correct?" Voltaria questions Raven, earning silence from the woman. "Thought so…"
The group glared at Raven and Lionheart, ready to defend themselves. Yang glared angrily at her mother, feeling betrayed that she would do so. They knew there was no reasoning with them as they believed that Salem is unable to be defeated. However, they didn't have entities that would help them in need. Soon, Raven opened a portal to bring out Makarov, his team, and Vernal (Raven's second command and loyal member), who readied their weapons.
"Nothing personal." Raven said to the group.
Suddenly they hear the doors behind them open up. They all turned to see Hazel Rainart closing the massive doors behind him as he entered. The giant man stares at them with a cold expression, walking towards the group.
"The Terminus Group is prepping demolition and securing the school grounds. No one's getting in, and no one's getting out." Hazel informed the group in a dead serious tone.
Outside, all the Terminus Group soldiers were placing bombs on the CCT tower. Makarov's second in command, Shanice, glares at the building. Making sure nothing goes off plan.
"Once the charges are set, move back to the perimeter watch. Tonight, Haven falls."
Back inside, everyone watches Hazel slowly approach them. Glaring at the group with a cold expression.
"So, attempting to recreate the attack of Beacon?" Voltaria said coldly.
"Recreate? Ha! There would be no mistakes from before!" Makarov loudly stated as he pointed his gun at her. "You've gone rusty, Grimm Girl, revealing your face to the world. Easily tricked and becoming so naïve."
As he berated with insult, he has no idea that Voltaria is already planned ahead. He thought he and Lionheart had the upper hand, but truth be told that she and her friends already prepared a Plan B. As it turns out, Voltaria, Qrow, Yang, and Ruby went to the Branwen Tribe. Alicia gave them a head start that Makarov was going to get Raven to help them and somewhat promise them a good deal, only to turn on his word to bomb the tribe into ashes. This of course, angers Raven by the fact that someone would dare betray her like this. Even so, Voltaria gave Raven another option. Salem believed that the Spring Maiden was still at the Branwen Tribe, but the power was long gone from them. Voltaria offers assistance to Raven that she must assist the Terminus Group to do their heist, playing along until they could strike. And in return, she will give them an offer that is worth more than anyone could offer. At first, Raven didn't believe her at first, thinking it was a trap. However, after Yang explained to her mother that Voltaria doesn't go back at her words, she agreed, playing along with the plan of being part of Salem's plan. Voltaria glanced towards Raven, who secretly glanced back at her. The two silently communicated with one another, knowing full well the plan was going steadily.
Upon seeing her unfazed gaze, Makarov became angry.
"What the hell are you silent about?!"
Voltaria simply looks at him with a blank stare and says in a cold tone.
"You are a fool."
Her words made everyone freeze, the atmosphere was tense as if it could be cut by a knife. Makarov glares at Voltaria like daggers, clearly angered by her insult.
"What did you say?" Makarov questions her with greeted teeth.
"You think you have the upper advantage?" Voltaria questions him. "We already figured out that you're assisting Salem to cause the Fall of Haven. As well as sending some of your group to Menagerie, causing chaos and in the process, the Grimm will follow. But sadly, your plan was intercepted."
"IMPOSSIBLE!" Makarov yelled in anger. "There's no way you found out about this!"
"Oh, believe me, we did. And once we confirmed it, we gave a tip to a White Fang member to inform their High Leader, Sienna Khan, about your attack, and she was not too happy about the Terminus Group attacking her people, but nevertheless. Your operation was useless and came to an end."
"You're lying! The attacked happened just few days ago, there's no way-"
However, Voltaria cuts Makarov off, "Tell me. Did your team tell you that the mission was a 'success'?"
Hearing this, Makarov recalled getting info from one of his subordinates, saying the mission was a success, yet the message was slightly static. He didn't address the strangeness for he believed that his squadron had low signal, but failed to realize the truth.
Makarov glared at her. "What the Hell did you do?"
"Simple, I paid someone to intercept your squadron's ships as well as assisting the Faunus on protecting Menagerie." Voltaria explained coldly.
Truth be told, Voltaria contacted Roman Torchwick and Neo to prevent the attack on Menagerie, by paying them a huge sum of money, which Torchwick happily accepted, also because she threatened him to do it or else, she'll turn him back to a crystal statue. Of course, without a choice, Torchwick agreed to help and being the 'hero' and reminding her to double the payment for him and Neo. Since they're risking their necks, which she agreed to do, if they finish the job. And so, they did. Torchwick and Neo infiltrated one of the Terminus Group's ships, hijacked it, before using it to attack the rest of the ships. While doing so, the Grimm came in the process, almost heading to Menagerie. Fortunately, Blake, Calista, Sun, Ilia, the Faunus, and the White Fangs worked together to fight them off with the help of Ula and Stonehorn, which shocked everyone, but Blake explained to them quickly that they are friendly. They were able to stop the impending danger and are now coming to Haven to assist them. As they have a bone to pick with Makarov.
"Impossible…" Makarov mutters through gritted teeth.
"Oh, it is, it's not hard for us to infiltrate your secrets." Voltaria said blankly. "The world knows what you did."
"But that's impossible!" Lionheart exclaimed in shock. "There's no signal here! I just-"
Voltaria scoffed. "You may have deactivated the CCT Tower, but we have another way to send the signal to all Kingdoms."
Sure enough, Vision the Orb Entity was on top of Haven Academy, broadcasting live to the entire audience of what the Terminus Group had done. As well as revealing Lionheart's betrayal to not only the Kingdom of Mistral, but to all Faunus as well. Of course, Ozpin and Ironwood saw the whole thing, shocking yet angering them, as they were betrayed by an ally.
Lionheart backed up a bit. Shaking in fear. And yet, he mustered enough courage to exclaim. "But…But you just revealed your face to the world! Surely you never thought of exposing yourself?"
Voltaria scoffed. "Sure, if they're searching for a character in a book."
Lionheart's eyes widened because of this. "Wh-What?"
Without any warning, Voltaria tosses the book in front of them, showing the picture of the Little Baker, sharing the same face appearance.
"This face came from a children's book, 'The Little Baker'. I use her image to make you believe that this was my real face. But in reality, it is not. I can take any form, whether from a children's book." Voltaria took the original form of the Little Baker, wearing a blue dress, white apron, and brown boots. Before turning into a ninja from a movie that she watched with Ruby and Yang. "Movies…or someone who perished in my hands."
She then transformed into Makarov's deceased daughter, Yulia Makarov, glaring at him in that form.
This triggers something inside of Makarov. Seeing his deceased daughter's face taken from the one that murdered her, something snapped inside of him, causing him to fire multiple rounds at her. However, before the bullets could hit the girl, a shadow shield surrounded her and everyone, safeguarding them from the bullets. Soon, the rest of the Terminus Group fired, but the bullets were consumed by the shadow shield. Suddenly, the shadow barrier has colors swirling around it.
"What the hell is happening?" Asked a Terminus Group member.
Suddenly, the shadow releases a wave of energy, sending everyone in the room flying. Raven and Vernal were able to dodge it while Lionheart, Hazel, and the Terminus Group were crashing into the walls. When it was cleared, it revealed that more back up came. Glynda, Team MUSE, ABRN, CFVY, the rest of Team SSSN, and warriors of the Uta Clan appeared before them.
They were all battle ready to defend the kingdom.
Voltaria, now in her regular attire, glares at Makarov under her mask. She played her cards well and she knows how this ends. For she can see ways to change the fates of others.
"Get ready, for this it will go out big and loud."
With her words, they heard multiple loud roars and screams from outside, followed by an explosion and something crashing. Before anyone could react, Voltaria summons Starfall and charges at Makarov at full speed.
Reacting quickly, Makarov turned his gun into a dagger, just in time, causing both weapons to collide, creating a sonic wave that shattered the windows. Soon, the battle took place, the Uta Clan Warriors charged with battle cries with Glynda and the students. The Mercenaries fired at them, but their bullets were deflected by the Uta Clan.
Hazel rips his coat off, and then grabs a pair of lightning Dust crystals from a couple of pouches on his legs. He stabs the lightning Dust into his arms, with his blood vessels turning yellow and popping out from his skin as well as having some lightning coat them. His eyes glow yellow and let out an intimidating roar that shook the building.
Oscar slowly backs away, holding his staff up cautiously.
"Woah! What's he doing?!" Oscar exclaimed, shocked to see Hazel stabbing himself with Dusts. "Aren't Dust Crystals painful if they are injected raw?" He asked, recalling the lectures from Regina.
"Not for Hazel." Glynda answered seriously, glaring at the big man. "His Semblance can block out pain. It allows him to handle injecting so much Dust into his body."
"Well, that explains a lot." Wade said with a glare before loading his Justiceshot as he fired multiple rounds at Hazel.
However, Hazel was quick to react as he swatted away the bullets with a yell before charging at Wade in full rage. But before he could do so, Glynda quickly uses her Telekinesis to shield them, forcing Hazel to slam his fists to the barrier. Soon, Nora charges with a loud battle cry, swinging Magnhild at Hazel, sending him flying to a wall.
Weiss uses her glyphs to summon her Arma Gigas into battle. Taking down mercenaries. AJ maneuvered through the mercenaries, using her Colorslashes to freeze them in their place. Evo uses his Musicshocker to hit a big mercenary and send him flying, only to be kicked midair by Pyrrha before she helps Jaune to face incoming mercenaries.
Lionheart was on higher ground and used his weapon, Stalwart, and pointed towards Yang, who punched a mercenary hard. He was about to shoot at Yang, until it was intercepted by Raven, as she kicked him hard, sending him falling onto the ground before she slashes Omen to create a fire wall, separating the mercenaries and Lionheart from the group.
Voltari swings Starfall with great might at Makarov, who jumps away to dodge her attack, as the force she created cuts a statue in half. Makarov landed in the distance as he glared at her briefly before turning towards Raven.
"The Hell, Branwen!? Why are you helping them!?"
Raven glared at him as Vernal stood by her side, pointing her weapon at Makarov.
"You were going back on your word." Raven retorted, glaring back at him. "You sent some of your dogs to my tribe to slaughter them. Fortunately, we warned and are now hidden from your betraying eyes." She then glares at the fallen Lionheart. "And I don't like backstabbers."
Lionheart flinched, knowing that he's in big trouble.
"But you agree to help if I give you information! And promise to hand us the Spring Maiden!"
Raven glares at him darkly. "You don't get it do you?" She spoke, making the headmaster confused. "The Spring Maiden was taken away from the tribe a year ago. We only play along so you can take the bait."
Lionheart's eyes widened, not in shock but in horror. "Are you saying that…"
"The Spring Maiden is hidden away, far-far away from you, the Terminus Group, and from Salem." Voltaria was the one who answered to him coldly. "So, your plan on opening the vault is now useless." She said, knowing very well that he needed that Spring Maiden to open the Vault of Spring.
While Lionheart was left flabbergasted, Makarov was glaring at them for their sudden alliance before using his comm to contact his subordinate.
"Shanice! We need more back up!"
Although, the only response was gunfire, followed by roars and screams of his men.
-Sir! We're being overrun!- Shanice responded, followed by multiple gunfire.
"Overrun by what?!"
-The fucking dinosaurs from the news! And they're not alone!-
"The fuck?! How's that possible!?"
-I don't know! But they seem to know what they're doing!-
"It seems that our friends are taking care of your men." Voltaria said, walking towards him, slowly dragging Starfall onto the ground, creating sharp jagged lines onto the floor. "You guys were so confident to believe that you all may have the upper hand, but you didn't. All this time, we were just playing this whole act until you finally realize that you have fallen into my little twisted game."
Makarov yelled and charged at her with full speed, sending rounds of bullets at her. Using Starfall as a shield, she was able to deflect the attack before quickly sliding down and swinging at Starfall onto Makarov's legs, who dodge by jumping in the air and firing more rounds. Fortunately for Voltaria, she quickly sank into the shadows, causing the bullets to miss her. Raven quickly jumps up and kicks Makarov in midair, sending him flying to the wall. But unlike Hazel, Makarov easily avoided the crash as he uses his legs to land onto it before firing more bullets at Raven. The Bandit Leader easily dodges it as Wade and Yang fire dust bullets at Makarov. The Mercenary Leader growls and quickly runs through the wall to avoid the attack, only to block Voltaria's Starfall with his guns.
Meanwhile, Hazel lets out a roar as he fights with the students, Qrow, and some Uta Clan Warriors. He swatted them away or punched them so hard that they sent them flying. Oscar quickly uses his staff to create a shield for them as Hazel pounds at it with great anger. Oscar struggles before using his magic to create an energy beam that sends Hazel flying to the wall.
"Why is he so upset with us?" Oscar asked Glynda, readying their battle stance.
Hazel slowly gets up and glares at them. "Ozpin didn't tell you my tale, did he, boy?" He approaches Oscar menacingly. "He has spilled blood in his hands. And now, he's allowing children into this fight. Just like he did to her."
He raises his fist and is about to strike at Oscar, but Qrow jumps in the way to block Hazel's attack, but he slams his fist into the ground, the shockwave knocking both him and Oscar back. They both get back up as Qrow engages Hazel. Qrow dodges a punch then slashes at Hazel, who blocks the sword with one arm. Oscar was confused and looked at Glynda.
"What was he talking about? And who's her?"
Glynda uses her Semblance to send a few mercenaries away. "His younger sister, Gretchen Rainart. Despite her brother's wishes, she enrolled at Beacon Academy to become a Huntress and tragically lost her life on a training mission. Hazel holds Ozpin responsible for her death."
Oscar's eyes, "What? She…she died?"
"Yes." Mari whispers through his mind sadly. "I heard her final wish before she died. She wished she could've done better…and prayed that her brother would forgive her."
"You know now!" Hazel roared before tossing Qrow aside, who yelled in pain. "You can forgive me for what I'm about to do."
Hazel begins approaching Oscar dangerously until Oscar shouted to him. "Did she know?"
Hazel suddenly stops in place at his inquiry but is dangerously close to Oscar.
"Did she know the risk of being a Huntress?" Oscar questions Hazel.
"She was only a child! She wasn't ready!" Hazel yelled, his anger courses through him.
"She made a choice! A choice to put others before herself!" Oscar said loudly as he held his staff up defensively. "So do I."
Hazel just glares at him. "Then you've chosen death!"
Oscar glares back, determined to fight till the very end. Glynda was ready to defend Oscar as she pointed The Disciplinarian at Hazel. Before he could change, Wade charged from the side and tackled Hazel hard, sending him skidding through the floor. Soon, Wade and Qrow charged at Hazel, the three men fought furiously. Wade turns his Killershooter into a sword as he strikes at Hazel, who blocks it with his arms. Distracted, Qrow fires shots at Hazel's back, but has no effect. Ren came and kicked Hazel on the back, forcing him to fall on his side. Roaring in anger, Hazel swatted Wade and Ren to the side before charging at Qrow with a mighty punch.
Qrow knocked back into the wall and then fell to the ground next to the downed Ren and Wade, who struggled to get back up as well. Oscar uses his staff to block flaming rocks being fired from Lionheart's Stalwart. Hazel charges forward and punches Oscar several feet back.
"He sent children to fight for his battles, a monster like you must be stopped!" Hazel roared in anger.
Nora charges at Hazel with a loud battle cry. She leaps into the air, but Hazel catches Magnhild and slams Nora into the ground. Hazel then grabs Nora's head, electrocuting her with his lightning Dust-enhanced arms. She screams out in pain.
"How many more children must die for him?!"
"NORA!" Voltaria yelled, kicking the mercenary away. "Tabitha, Hannibal, help her!"
We're on it! Tabitha replied before she and Hannibal went to save Nora.
Hannibal gave Nora more energy to strengthen her aura while Tabitha gave Nora a boost with her strength. This allowed Nora to grab Hazel's wrist with both her hands, surprising Hazel and getting his guard-off. Nora was inadvertently enhanced by Hazel's electricity thanks to her Semblance, Tabitha, and Hannibal, gave her a chance to stand back up and flipped him over her shoulder with such strength. Hazel rolls back several feet away. Tabitha brought Magnhild towards Nora as she stood defensively.
"Nora, be careful! Remember, his Semblance can block out pain!" Glynda warned, sending more Mercenaries flying.
Nora stares back at Hazel, who stands back up slowly. Nora then glares at him darkly. "I don't need him to hurt..."
Once Hazel gets up, he roars and charges forward again. Hannibal quickly boosted Nora's Aura, giving her more strength.
I just need him to…GO…DOWN!" She yelled the last part.
As Hazel nears her, Nora preps to swing Magnhild. With a loud battle cry, she then swings her hammer right into Hazel's chest, her counterattack launching him through the wall and outside onto Haven Academy's quad. He yells as he crashes to the ground, slowly getting up with a growl. Only to quickly move away when he was almost stomped by a massive scaly foot that belongs to Levistus. The Spinosaurus let out a loud roar as he and the rest of the dinos were facing off the mercenaries. Ultima activates his Aura and lets out a roar as he brings forth fireballs and fires at the approaching vehicles. Causing them to explode. Nile the Oxalaia uses his Aura to create a massive wave to consume the mercenaries while Jia and Alanza charge and bite them down.
"What the-"
Hazel was cut off when Levistus created a powerful water blast that sent Hazel flying back to the building, crashing to the ground hard. Everyone watched in full shock to see the rest of Terminus were being mauled down by dinosaurs!
"The fuck?!" Makarov yelled in anger and shock.
Ripper uses his claws to tear down approaching vehicles while Amaryllis flips them over. The Raptor Squad charged at the mercenaries before mauling them to death. They weren't alone, the Uta Clan Warriors helped out taking the mercenaries down, capturing them in the process. And they weren't alone. Blake, Sun, Ilia, some of the Faunus, and the White Fang came to assist, taking down the mercenaries. Their arrival was quick thanks to the Captain that owed Blake and Sun, and Torchwick, who hijacked the mercenary's airship, to bring forth the Calvary.
"No…" Makarov said through gritted teeth. "NO!"
"Yes!" Ruby cheered happily.
Suddenly, a Mistral airship shines its searchlight down on mercenaries. The Mistral police captain is seen on the airship with Kali Belladonna. She informed the Mistral Police about the situation and they quickly helped out after seeing the broadcast on the newsfeed.
Mistral Police Captain spoke over through the P.A. -Ivan Makarov, this is the Mistral Police Force! Lower your weapons and surrender peacefully.-
Soon, more Mistral airships arrived as their searchlights shine through the windows. Everyone stops what they are doing. Terminus Group was in shock to see this. Lionheart, terrified by this, attempted to escape but someone fired an Ice Dust to create a wall of ice to prevent his escape. Lionheart turned around and froze in place to see Aletheia Kalokaíri, pointing her gun in his direction. She glares at him coldly, clearly showing her disappointment and anger towards Lionheart's betrayal.
"Where do you think you're going, Professor Lionheart?"
"D…Dr…Dr. Kalokaíri!? Wh-what are you doing here?" Lionheart questions her in pure shock.
Aletheia's expression didn't change as she continued glaring at him. "I came here to announce the discovery of our excavation, only to discover that YOU were causing chaos, not only at the academy, but also the entire Kingdom of Mistral."
Lionheart staggered a bit by her words, clearly shocked at what was unfolding.
"I also spoke with the council recently," Aletheia continued, glaring towards Lionheart. "They were getting suspicious on why every huntsman of Mistral was disappearing all of sudden. Until we learn from Grandmaster Satori that YOU were giving out information and the location of every huntsmen in Mistral on their mission, depleting our defenses, and endangering the entire kingdom."
"I only did because it was for the best!"
"You did it for yourself," Aletheia shot back, her anger slowly rising. "You ratted out the people that were our allies, letting them be killed is unjust. They have family, children, and partners that were waiting for them. But now, you made them orphans, widows, motherless, and fatherless. You are a coward, Lionheart. And you must reap what you sow."
Suddenly, some mercenaries were going after her, but Aletheia was quick. She did a roundhouse kick to the first one, before transforming her weapon into a sword, slicing their guns before stabbing her sword to the ground, creating a Glyph. Not long after, the mercenaries, Hazel, and Lionheart were sent flying, crashing to walls or the balcony, while some were unconscious. Aletheia removed her sword from the ground and stood up, being greeted by the shock faces of the people in the room.
"Wow…" Ruby commented in shock.
"No wonder she's the best huntress in Atlas Academy." Weiss mutters as she recalled from Winter about Aletheia being the best student.
As the battle was at its end, Makarov was slowly getting up from his spot and glared at the scene before him. He couldn't believe his eyes on what just happened. His whole squadron, the plan…all gone to waste.
"How?! How did you do this?!" Makarov yelled at Voltaria.
"Makarov, it's over. You've lost." Voltaria said to him coldly.
Makarov glares at her. His anger surged through his veins. He cannot lose to her. He can't lose again! Without thinking, Makarov then pulls out a detonator, glaring at everyone around.
"Then it's over for all of us!"
A Female Mercenary that was still awake saw this and recognized what it was, and tried to stop him. "Hey wait!"
The mercenaries hold up their arms as they brace for the impending explosion as Makarov presses the button. However, nothing happened. Shocked and confused, he pressed the detonator button a few more times, but nothing happened. Everyone was relieved to see the situation was no longer dire, everyone was relieved, except for Makarov.
" What are you doing? Trying to get us all killed?!" Exclaimed a male Mercenary.
"I am making her pay for WHAT SHE'S DONE!" Makarov yelled, glaring at Voltaria.
Voltaria glares back at him. "We knew about the bombs beforehand, and we sent someone over to confirm your explosives, and once we did, she disarmed them."
As it turns out, Ilia Amitola and Alicia worked together to disabled the bombs. They were there while everyone fought the Terminus Group and Hazel, distracting them as they worked together to disarm the bombs.
Makarov gritted his teeth in anger. His eyes filled with craziness. All of this was gone to waste! He wanted Voltaria to suffer, he wanted to see her grovel in pain like he did after she killed his daughter.
No, he will not lose to her, not again!
While everyone was recovering and regrouping with their friends (happy reunion with Blake coming back), Makarov brought out his arm and pressed a button on the device attached to his wrist. It began to beep, causing everyone to look at him with wide eyes.
"What the Hell did you do?!" Qrow questions the man.
Makarov laughs darkly. "I'm making sure no one can escape." He glares at Voltaria with a sick mind. "You may have thwarted this plan, but I had a backup plan that no one, not even Salem knows about."
"What do you mean, Makarov?" Voltaria questions him.
"I sent coordinates for the missile launch to strike at the center of the city." He answered with a twisted look of glee in his eye.
"You what?!" Glynda yelled at the man in rage.
"That's right, a missile is coming right here, right now, but if that missile doesn't work, I bet those subterranean Grimm that were lured here would."
Everyone was horrified by his words. He was going to blow up the city and bringing the Grimm here?! Before they could question him, he suddenly took out a device from his hand and pressed the button, creating a blinding light. Forcing everyone to shield their eyes. Once it was cleared, he, Hazel, and the remaining mercenaries were gone.
"Where did they go!?" Ruby exclaimed.
"Forget them! We have to evacuate the people!" Wade said to everyone before turning to Evo and Ekko. "How long will the missile reach Mistral?"
Ekko uses her turntable, Music Heart, to find the missile's location with Evo's help. "The missile trajectory is locked on to the city and its arrival…twenty minutes before impact."
This was shocking news. They don't have time to evacuate the civilians or escape. If they don't stop that missile nor the incoming Grimm attack, Mistral will be doomed.
"Is there a way to get everyone out of here?" Asked Yang.
Evo shook his head. "No, not even Voltaria's shadow can help, we don't have even time to get to the lower parts of Mistral."
"It won't be enough, the Grimm will come through." Said Ren, worried about the people.
Just before they could do anything, Voltaria already made the plan. "You guys deal with the civilians and the Grimm, me and Ruby will try to stop the missile."
Voltaria knew that due to her Winter Maiden and Ruby's Fall Maiden powers could help them stop the missile from arriving. But they need to get up there in full force. Ruby was nervous about this plan. She has barely yet to have full control of her new Fall Maiden Power. Even after Amber gave her advice (through the Dream Realm) and Regina's training, Ruby still felt unready for this power. However, her fear was quickly overshadowed after she realizes that many lives are at stake if she doesn't do anything. She has to do what must be done.
"Are you crazy!? The missile could kill you both." Neptune said to Voltaria.
"Don't worry, we know what we're doing." Voltaria said in assurance.
"Even if you and Ruby could stop it, you two have to get to the highest point to stop it." Evo said to them.
Aletheia steps forward and clears her throat. "Perhaps I could be of assistance?"
"Dr. Kalokaíri?" Weiss asked in confusion.
"If we throw them in the highest velocity, they could reach the missile velocity and fire an attack, making it explode into the air." Aletheia explains to them her plan. "That way, the missile force won't destroy the city."
"And what about the Grimm? And the civilians?" Blake asked in concern.
"Leave that to us." Grandmaster Satori steps in, "I and my clan shall hold them off, long enough for the people to evacuate."
"We'll help too!" Sun said, gesturing to the rest of the students along with the Faunus and White Fang members.
Yang then turned to her mother. "Will you give us a hand?" She questions her mother.
Raven stared at her daughter briefly before using her blade to open a portal. "This will take you to the lower part of Mistral." Raven then turns to Voltaria with a serious look. "Consider this a freebie."
Voltaria gave an appreciative look and told her entities to assist them along with the dinosaur's nod. "Alright, let's go!"
With that, everyone went to their post. Before leaving, Ekko informs them that they have fifteen minutes left before the missile hits. While they left, Lionheart was awakening from his unconsciousness. He was left alone, but being the coward he is, he quickly ran to his office to gather his things, trying to escape the kingdom.
Meanwhile, Ruby and Voltaria quickly prepared themselves to stop the missile. They have to use their full strength to do so. They need to save the people and city from total destruction, just like they did on Vale.
"Rippy! Ama! Get ready!" Ruby called out as she and Voltaria charged at their hybrids.
Ripper and Amaryllis roared and lowered their heads. The two girls jumped onto their heads before the two hybrids tossed them up to the tower. There, both Pyrrha and Jaune were waiting for them on the higher platform, grabbed their hands and tossed them higher.
"Go!" Jaune cheered.
"You can do it!" Pyrrha followed.
On the upper level, Evo and Nora waited for them on the higher spot as they jumped off and used their weapons to allow the girls to step on them before they tossed them higher.
"Alley-oop!" Nora yelled happily.
"Rock on, girls!" Evo cheered for them.
As the girls went higher, Weiss and Glynda were at the balcony with Wade, AJ, Yang, Ren, and Blake. Weiss and Glynda used their Semblance to help them with their strength, allowing AJ, Ren, and Blake to jump ahead first as Ruby and Voltaria descended to the top. Wade and Yang grabbed their hands and tossed them high.
"Yee-haw!" Wade yelled out.
"Kick butt, girls!" Yang cheered afterwards.
When they were high, AJ and Blake grabbed their hands as Ren pushed their feet up high allowing them to boost their throw for Ruby and Voltaria.
"Go! Go! Go!" Ren yelled.
"You can do it!" AJ cheered.
"Be safe!" Blake yelled out.
As the two girls descended higher to the clouds, an airship was seen, being piloted by Torchwick and Neo. Standing on top of it was Aletheia, who was able to get a ride after she promised to pay Torchwick a bonus if he gave her a ride, which he did. As Ruby and Voltaria reached her, she grabbed their hands gently with a kind smile.
"Stay strong." She said gently before using full force to toss them into the air.
After leaving Aletheia's hands, a Mach cone forms around them, giving enough force to break the sound barrier. They flew higher and higher to the sky, hearing their ears ring as they broke through the atmosphere. They could see a clear view of the missile heading their way. They could sense the others facing the Grimm, while getting the people out of there. They have to save them, they have to.
As they got closer and closer, ready to use their Maiden Powers. Holding each other's hands as they ready to face the missile. But as they did so, they were consumed by a bright light, along with the missile. It was so bright that some stared at it. Their friends, after landing safely and helping the civilians, saw the light and were shocked to see it.
Once the light was gone, Ruby and Voltaria were no longer there. Instead, it was Crimson Rose. The unknown warrior was floating to the sky, her cold eyes staring at the city. One of her arms was raised as she held the missile with the palm of her hand. It wasn't heavy for her. No, for her, it was weightless. Everyone below was shocked to see Crimson Rose. They never expected to see her, nor did Ruby and Voltaria's friends. Torchwick and Neo were shocked when they saw her through the ship's screen.
"Oh my gods…" Was all Torchwick could say.
Aletheia was the only one who was calm as she smiled at her. Knowing full well who she is.
Soon, Crimson Rose turns and tosses the missile far to the sky, heading into space before it explodes. Her action prevented a great catastrophe, and saved the city in the process. It shocked everyone, especially Makarov, who was hidden within the forest of the Mistral with his team and Hazel, he was horrified as his plan failed again.
She then turned back to the city and flew down, knowing she had to stop the Grimm. She flew down, passing the window of Lionheart's office. There, Lionheart bursts into his office and runs behind his desk, frantically opening drawers trying to look for something.
Suddenly, he hears ominous clicking noises, and looks up to notice a Grimm called Seer was floating menacingly in front of his desk. The Lion Faunus panicked at the sight. Knowing very well who this Seer belongs to. To confirm this, a familiar voice comes from the Grimm.
"And where might you be going?" Salem's voice spoke through the Grimm.
Lionheart backs up and stammering a bit, feeling great fear through his body. As he knew that his fate was doomed.
"Uh, your grace!" Lionheart nervously chuckles, trying to ease the tension. "I-I was just looking for something..."
"Leonardo, do you have something you wish to tell me?" Salem asked through the Seer, her voice cold and filled with hidden malice.
Lionheart doesn't say anything for a bit, his heart pounding through his chest, as he tries to think of an excuse. The Seer stood there, not moving, until Lionheart made an excuse.
"It was Makarov! He altered the plan! Huntsmen showed up here! Qrow! Several students, one with the Silver Eyes! The Grimm Girl! The attack…it was stopped!" He stammered, "I don't know that they'll be able to recover the Relic..." He looks at the Seer with pleading eyes as he goes forward in desperation. "Your grace, I can still be of assistance! If I leave now, I-I can avoid the authorities and come find you, I'll do whatever it takes!" There was no response from the Seer, only emitting an ominous clicking sound. "Your grace?"
Salem did not respond to Lionheart's please. But the silence was the answer that he was no longer needed. Out of options and fearing for his life, Lionheart aims his weapon at the Seer, but it uses one of its tentacles to knock it off his wrist, sending it far to the side. Unarmed and defenseless, Lionheart tries to make a run for it, but the Seer was quick as it wraps one of its tentacles around Lionheart's ankle, causing him to trip and fall.
The moment Lionheart realized that his fate was sealed and it was a terrible fate indeed.
Lionheart stared at the Seer in terror, begging pathetically to be spared. "Please, ma'am! I'll do anything! I can still be useful!"
His pleading did not sway Salem, for she no longer has use for him, as she ordered the Seer to end this. The Grimm aims its sharp tentacles at Lionheart. The Lion Faunus desperately tries to crawl away, but more tentacles wrap around his body.
"Please! PLEEEAAASE!"
Despite his pleas, Lionheart was dragged towards the Seer, out of sight. Soon, the sound of a sharp blade stabbing into flesh can be heard. Followed by Lionheart's dying breath, still pleading for mercy.
"Please..."
But was soon silent when another stab was heard.
And thus, it was the end of the former Headmaster of Haven Academy.
Salem watched the whole thing from a Seer that was in front of her on the table, all the way from the Land of Darkness. She was sitting on her throne, leaning her head on her hand in disappointment. Salem knew that he was useless. She should have killed him ages ago.
"Coward..." She commented blankly.
Crimson Rose lands at the courtyard of Haven Academy, sensing hundreds of Grimm coming to the city. Flare the Dream Flame appeared, looking at Crimson Rose with a curious expression. Crimson Rose responded by gently using her finger to scratch the flame gently, making her chimed gently. Afterwards, Crimson Rose gently brushes Flare away as she quickly summons Blood Moon before slamming the bottom of the staff to create a Glyph that was so massive that emitted a powerful glow. Then suddenly, a giant black crystal appeared behind her, twice the size of the CCT Tower. Just like in the City of Vale.
Black thorn vines wrapped around it as many black crystals erupted surrounding the city. Shocking everyone. Crimson Rose lifted Blood Moon up, closing her eyes, channeling more energy to him. The moon shines on them, she snaps open her eyes, the Maiden Power increases tenfold. This allows Blood Moon to release a powerful stream of silver light to the night sky. Creating pairs of silver eyes with black flames, glaring down at the city.
Crimson Rose lets out a powerful shriek that echoes through the land, and the flaming silver eyes glow brightly along with the black crystals, creating powerful streams of light energy that consumes the entire Kingdom of Mistral, all the way beyond the border. Every human and Faunus shielded themselves as they were too consumed by the bright light. The dinos shielded their friends, safeguarding them from the bright light. After a few seconds, the light disappeared and the Grimm that were about to break into the city were now gone, either turned to stone or into ash. Including the Seer that was in Lionheart's office.
The threat was gone, and the kingdom was safe.
Afterwards, Ruby and Voltaria's friends came along with the dinos, thanks to the entities, and were ready to find them since they experienced this last time, but they still couldn't help but to feel worried. Upon their arrival, they stopped mid-step to see Aletheia, sitting on the ground, holding both sleeping Ruby and Voltaria in her arms gently with Flare close by. They were both tired and are peacefully enjoying their sleep.
"Rubs? V?" Yang whispers out in relief and surprise.
Aletheia responded by placing her finger on her smiling lips, making a shushing gesture, telling them to stay quiet, for their friends were sleeping peacefully. Smiling, the group just watched in relief and joy, knowing that they stopped the attack. They went over to them, giving the slumbering girls relief and happy eyes.
"Sleep tight, you two." Wade said quietly, looking at the slumbering girls. "You gals deserved it."
The two girls sleep soundly as the moon above them shines, illuminating the black crystals that are protecting the city from Grimm.
Shadow Dusk stood on top of a cliff, staring at a building that was in flames. He and his team agreed to help Voltaria on her mission to take down the mercenary base that was imprisoning a sick boy. They easily found the base of the Terminus Group. They rescued the boy but of course, they made sure there were no survivors. After all, these mercenaries were working for the False Goddess, the enemy of the Grimm Riders. They made sure that the Terminus Group would never recover.
"Is everything done?" Shadow questioned his companion, Diana Dawn, who was behind him, and holding a staff embedded with dust crystals.
She nodded her head. "There are no survivors, we gathered all their assets and confiscated them. We also contacted the healers, they will check on the boy's ailment."
Shadow turned to her and the said boy was sleeping soundly in his arms. The boy has pale blonde hair, slightly frail and has freckles. He was breathing slowly and his face flushed a bit, showing that he was sick and has yet to recover.
"With Tenebris advanced medical treatment, the boy will be awoken within a few days." Said Diana Dawn to her leader. "The medicine we gave him earlier has yet to strengthen his immune system and aura."
"In due time, Dawn. The boy is young, he will recover." Shadow assures her. "Come, we must head back home, we will retrieve Alicia Salvador."
"Of course."
With that, they turned and left the burning building, heading towards the ship that awaits them.
As well as awaiting for their Princess's next order.
