Several weeks had passed since the unfortunate incident in Hoenn and Lucian was more than happy to be back in Sinnoh. He didn't get any new Pokemon on his trip, but Aaron and Flint came home with new additions. They had all finished dinner and cleaned up for the night when a package arrived. Flint had been the one to get up to get it and as he was returning, dropped it on the table in front of Lucian.

"It's for you." He shrugged before plopping in the chair across the room.

"Me?" Lucian replied inquisitively. He had not been expecting anything. He looked at the shipping label. It was from Hoenn.

"Who is sending you random packages?" Cynthia leaned over to take a look for herself.

"Who knows." Lucian opened it up, having to dig a bit through the packaging to get to the contents of the box. He pulled out a great ball and a black envelope. He set the great ball down on the table and turned the envelope over. In an elegant, silver writing was his name. He glanced around the room at the other league members before opening it up and reading the letter.

Lucian,

I imagine this is rather sudden and confusing. I recall that you were searching for a new member for your team while visiting Hoenn. I believe you mentioned not having any luck. I rescued this little guy while searching for rare stones and thought of you. Raising him will take some time and patience, but I am certain he will make an excellent new teammate.

Steven Stone

He slowly blinked as he read over the letter again and then a third time. Eventually, he placed the paper on the table and took the great ball in his hand.

"Well? Are you going to share with the class?" Aaron questioned, now leaning over the chair Flint was sitting in. Cynthia seemed to grow impatient and picked up the letter and read it for herself.

"Steven sent Lucian a Pokemon." She addressed the group. "When did you run into Steven?"

"So let's see what it is!" Flint exclaimed excitedly.

Lucian stood from his spot on the couch and silently exited the room. The last thing he wanted was for the others to start asking questions about why Steven would be sending him a Pokemon. Or worse, how Steven knew he was looking for a Pokemon. The other man had kept his promise to keep what happened between them and Lucian was not going to be the one to say something. Once he was alone in his room he sat on the edge of the bed and released the Pokemon with a flick of his wrist. Floating in front of him was a small, blue-grey Pokemon. He realized in that moment that Steven had sent him a Beldum.
