My first story I'm open to suggestions
*Disclaimer: I don't own any Hunger Games charaters I'm writing this for enjoyment*
Travelers POV (12 year old genius girl)
Bam! I wake up and I'm somewhere I haven't seen before, or in any books I read. Wait I take that back, I recognize this place. I think I know what it is or at least I should know. My head is still throbbing so I really can't focus on anything but the pain for right now. I look up and I see the number 12. What does that mean? There were 13 original colonies not 12! Maybe I didn't travel back in time? What if I traveled into the future? Well there's only one way to find out. "Hey you, do you know what year it is?" I tell someone. They respond with " Stop screaming are you okay? I'll take you to the healers. Your head looks pretty banged up." I try to tell him that I'm okay but he seems set on having me go. I try to stand up and I realise that I can't. He says," Come on, its better to go and get checked than to not go at all." He's right. I won't be able to help anyone or anything like this. "Thank you" I say,"What's your name?" "Peeta" Peeta? That name seems oddly familiar. "Ok how do I get there?" I ask politely. He says "I don't think you'll make it there on your own. I'll carry you. You don't seem that heavy." The time traveling has been really rough on my body I don't think that I could way more than 60 pounds. "Okay I say you can carry me. My head hurts too much and I don't think I can stand." I respond.*At the healers*A woman runs up to me and takes me out of Peeta's arms. She than puts me down on her table. "Can she stand? Does she know her name? " She asks Peeta. He responds with "I'm really not sure if she can stand and she didn't tell me her name." She than comes up to me and says,"Honey what's your name?" Without hesitation I respond "Iris." The woman called in a girl named Primrose. "Prim do you know this girl?" The Prim girl looks shocked and she says,"No." Than she whispers to her mom," Mom I've never seen her in my life and I have seen all of the twelves in the district." District! I get it now! Im in Panem! Without thinking I say,"My name is Iris this is district 12 and Im in Panem." The woman says,"Yes honey, do you remember anything else?" "The Hunger Games?" She looks shocked,"Yes we have those too" Okay so this is a lot better than an hour ago. I'm in the time period of the Hunger Games. I'm in the Everdeen household and I met Peeta Mellark. "I'm a lot better can I go home now? I ask?" "Yes dear you can go if your feeling better" She responds.
