Chapter 1: New Reality
It was a bright and sunny day in Ponyville, the streets were full of bustling ponies as per usual. Trotting along pulling a cart full of sweets from the Sugarcube corner bakery was the young assistant baker and resident party pony, Party Popper. Party Popper is a pink unicorn with a curly hot pink mane and tail, both seemed to bounce as she walked. The young unicorn also had sky blue eyes and her cutie mark was three balloons, two blue, one yellow, coming out of a party popper along with confetti. Party Popper was humming as she made her morning deliveries, she soon approached the Golden Oaks Library and knocked on the door. After a moment or two the top part of the door opened revealing a purple pegasus with a straight cut and bob like navy blue mane with stripes of pink and purple, her tail mirrored her hairstyle. The pegasus also had purple eyes and her cutie mark was the big and little dipper connected at the handles by a six prong star. "Good morning Party Popper." The pegasus said, greeting her friend. "Morning Starry Nights!" Party Popper exclaimed in greeting. Starry Nights smiled softly at her friend's enthusiasm and energy.
"I heard you were up late last night reorganizing the library by hoof, so I brought you a zap apple muffin as a pick me up!" Party Popper continued using her sky blue magic to bring the aforementioned baked good to her friend. Starry Nights took the muffin with a smile. "Thanks Poppy, that's very sweet of you. Do I owe you anything for the muffin?" Starry Nights said, now referring to her friend by a nickname. "Nope! It's on the house!" Party Popper said with added enthusiasm. "Thank you again, I honestly really need some energy especially since I still have some work to do. I still have no idea how the library ended up looking like a tornado went through it." Starry Nights said before she took a big bite from the muffin she was holding. "You're welcome, after I'm done with my deliveries I can get the others and we can all lend a hoof with cleaning up." Party Popper said deciding to help her friend so she doesn't panic. "That would be a big help." Starry Nights said as she finished the zap apple muffin and wiped crumbs from her mouth. With another goodbye Party Popper bounced back into her deliveries, nearly making a few boxes fall in the process, meanwhile Starry Nights flew up to a higher self in the library and got back to work reorganizing the shelves.
Party Popper quickly got back to work delivering an assortment of baked goods to the ponies of Ponyville. She approached the market place in the town square when she saw another one of her friends. The friend in question is a sky blue earth pony with a kinda messy rainbow mane and tail. The earth pony also had magenta eyes and her cutie mark is a gold medal with a lightning bolt on it, the ribbon was red, blue, and yellow. "Hey Prism Dust!" Party Popper exclaimed seeing her friend who was at the Apple family's stall. The pony working the stall is an orange unicorn with white freckles and a blonde mane and tail tied back into a loose ponytail. The orange unicorn was also wearing a cowboy hat and had green eyes, her cutie mark was three red apple slices coming off a red apple. "Hey Sugar Bee!" Party Popper added seeing her other friend as well. "Hey/Howdy Party Popper!" Prism Dust and Sugar Bee Apple exclaimed in unison as their friend approached with her now half empty cart. "What's up?" Prism Dust asked as she stepped aside to make some room for Party Popper as she stepped up to the stall. "Oh, I'm just making some deliveries. I also stopped by the library and saw Starry. She still needs a helping hoof to clean up the library." Party Popper said, relaying the morning events to her two friends. "We'll be happy to lend a hoof." Sugar Bee Apple said she figured she could get Big Macintosh or Granny Smith to watch the stall unless she managed to sell out by the end of the morning. "Definitely!" Prism Dust exclaimed with a smile. Party Popper's smile widened slightly as she heard her two friends agree to help. Prism Dust put two bits on the counter and Sugar Bee Apple used her bright green magic to float over two apples. Prism Dust offered an apple to Party Popper, she accepted the apple and started to munch on the small red fruit. "See you girls at the library!" Party Popper exclaimed as she headed back on her deliveries. Prism Dust and Sugar Bee Apple wave goodbye to their friend. Party Popper continued on with her deliveries and soon enough she was back at Sugarcube corner dropping her now empty cart off in a little garage at the back of the bakery. She takes the bag of bits from the cart. Party Popper heads inside through a side door. "Hi , I finished with my deliveries!" Party Popper exclaimed, greeting her boss. "The yellow earth pony looked away from putting bits in the till as an earth pony customer who was green with a bluish green mane styled in a side flip and brown eyes took his bag of sweets. He also had a red casual vest, spiked bracelets, pierced ears, and a messenger bag. His cutie mark was visible as he left, it was an open lock in front of a pair of crossed drumsticks which paired well with the drum charm on his necklace. "Good work Party Popper." said as Party Popper floats over a bag of bits from her deliveries with her magic. He puts the bits in the till and shuts it with a soft click.
"Thanks!" Party Popper said happily as she took off her cart harness and hung it up in the back of the kitchen by the garage door. "Well I gotta head out, I promised Starry Nights I'd help her with the library clean up today." Party Popper said, she stretches and heads out of the bakery. On her way to the library she spotted a yellow earth pony with teal eyes and a pink mane and tail that were styled in a sorta swoop like style that ended in a curl. Her cutie mark is a pink and blue butterfly set on the cover of a green book. "Hey Doodlebug!" Party Popper exclaimed as she practically leaped over to her friend. "Hi Poppy." Doodlebug said she jumped slightly in surprise at her friend's sudden appearance. "Are you heading to the library too?" Doodlebug asked as the two ponies walked side by side towards the tree-turned-building. "Yup! Starry needs some helping hooves." Party Popper said with a smile. The two get to the library and head inside and see a white coated pegasus with a wavy purple mane and tail that curl at the ends. Her cutie mark is three blue diamonds connected in an arch by a rainbow. "Hi Windy Chime." Doodlebug said, greeting the crystal blue eyed pegasus. "Hello Poppy, Hello Doodlebug." Windy Chime said, greeting her two friends from where she was hovering nearby. "Hi girls, grab some books and help us out." Starry Nights said encouraging the two new arrivals to get started with cleaning and reorganizing the library, it was still a mess from the known incident. It was halfway clean, soon Prism Dust and Sugar Bee Apple arrived to help clean. A phoenix named Sparks flew around the library helping with cleaning up.
