"Get back here you little bastard!"
"Shit! Shit! Shit!"
A young boy could be seen running desperately through the pouring rain. His spiked, pale blonde hair whipping in the rain, and his icy blue eyes wide looking for an escape as he ran from the angry store owner with a bag of food.
Turning a corner and running into an alley he soon comes to a dead end and curses under his breath.
"There you are you little shit! Thought you could steal from me, huh!?"
Spinning around to face the still angry store owner, he puts on a smile, "Heh heh, sorry about that, it's just I'm so hungry."
"I don't give a fuck!" the man yells as he kicks the boy in the stomach, making him drop the bag as he doubles over, "I know you've been stealing food from me for the past month now and it's time I teach you a lesson!" The man then pulls out a knife, "you want to sneak around like a damn fox, I'll give you a face to match one!"
The blonde's eyes widen in fear, and he tries to escape between the man's legs, only to get caught by the back of his tattered cloak. "Oh no, you aren't runnin' from this, you little fucker!"
Flipping the blonde over onto his back and holding him down with his knee, the man carves three jagged lines on each of the boy's cheeks, making sure to cut deep enough to leave scars. "That oughta teach ya, you little bastard. Steal from me again and I'm taking a hand next time!"
Getting off the boy, the man picks up the sack of stolen goods, slinging it over his shoulder and begins to walk away but his ankle is grabbed by a small hand.
"N-no I need that…"
"Tch!" The man kicks the hand away from his foot, "Looks like you need another lesson!" Raising his foot to hit the boy again, pain suddenly shoots through his foot.
"GAH! W-What the fuck!?"
Looking down he widens his eyes as he sees a shard of ice stabbed through his foot, "where?-"
Moving quickly the blonde boy hops from his position, pushes the man over, grabs the sack of food and runs from the alley while the man loudly curses him out.
"What was that?" he asks himself, looking down at his right hand that has an icy fog surrounding it, "is this that bloodline thing I read about?" shaking his head, he picks up speed," I'll worry about it later, I need to get back to base with this food."

Coming up to a dilapidated building, the boy knocks on the door, "Ritsuka, it's me! Open up!"
"What's the password." A female voice asks from the other side.
"When the rains pass, dawn shall break."
The reply is answered with the sound of multiple locks being undone before the door swings open, revealing a girl with orange hair and eyes in a torn and dirty outfit.(1)
"Naruto! What happened to your face!?" She exclaims as she runs up to him, checking his wounds, "come inside so I can patch you up." The girl then takes his hand, leading him inside and relocks the door.
"Sorry Ritsuka, the merchant caught me and decided to 'teach me a lesson'," his eyes then turn excited, "but never mind that! I think I have a bloodline!"
Sitting Naruto down on the couch, and getting a cloth to wipe his face, she raises an eyebrow, "what makes you think that?"
"Well, you see when that guy caught me, I felt this weird tingly feeling in my body, next thing I know a shard of ice comes from my hand and stabs him in the foot!" he explains while wincing from the wet rag going over the cuts on his face.
Ritsuka's eyes widen in surprise as she puts bandages on his face, "woah, do you think you're part of a clan or something?"
Naruto shrugs his shoulders and stands up, pumping his fist, "maybe, but now that I have this, I'm gonna train with it, then we'll have loads of food to eat!" He then pauses and rubs the back of his head sheepishly, "we may need to move to another town, they kinda all know me as a thief there now."
The girl giggles as she stands with him, "that's cause you suck at sneaking around, Naruto."
Naruto huffs, and walks towards the sack of food he stole, "whatever, let's just eat and we can look for some places tomorrow."
"Okay!"
-Several Weeks Later-
Naruto and Ritsuka finally found a good place near a town. It was a cave that had ample space to run around in and store food, so they decided to make it their new hideout.
After finding a place to stay, Naruto began experimenting with his newfound bloodline, eventually getting to the point where he can manipulate the ice into different shapes and even touch the ground to make it slippery with ice, as he demonstrated on the merchants that chased him and Ritsuka after they had stolen food.
Now, however, they had come across another orphan, a girl with short blue hair and amber eyes, sitting alone in a burnt down house while looking down with sadness in her eyes.
"Hello!"
Looking up startled by the sudden voice, she is greeted by the sight of a girl and a boy her age in raincoats. The girl was grinning widely at her waving her hand while the boy was going through the pack on his back.
"H-hello."
"My name's Ritsuka what's yours?" the orange-haired girl asks as she gets closer.
"Konan."
The blonde boy walks up as well and gives her a purple coat, "there ya go! My name's Naruto by the way!"
Putting on the coat Konan bows her head in appreciation, "thank you."
Both children take a seat on either side of her, "what are you doing here all alone?" The girl asks with a tilt of her head.
"Ninja burnt down the orphanage, said they thought an enemy was hiding here..." the girls then curls up in herself, hugging her knees tightly to her chest, "the matron died trying to save us from the fire and the kids that survived left me behind, saying they didn't want a freak to be with them..."
Naruto frowns deeply, "why would they call you a freak?"
"Because this..." the girl holds out her hand and her skin peels off to form an origami crane.(2)
The two children are shocked to silence, and Konan tightly closes her eyes tightly as tears well up,"they probably think I'm a freak too."
"That's so cool! She has a bloodline like you Naruto!"
"Woah, I didn't know there could be one made from paper."
Konan opens her eyes in surprise, "you guys don't think I'm weird?"
Naruto waves her off, "nope! I can do the same thing. Check it." He then brings his hands together and closes his eyes in concentration as the air around them drops a few degrees.
Opening his hands, he reveals an ice sculpture of a fox, though it is a bit misshapen.
Konan's eyes widen at the display while Ritsuka claps excitedly, "that was even better than last time Naruto!"
Naruto preens from his friend's praise, "hehe, of course it is," he then turns to Konan, "how about coming with us? We got food, and with your paper thingy we could probably get a bunch more!"
His orange-haired partner nods her head rapidly in agreement, "yeah! The more the merrier!"
Konan cracks a smile and gets up from her position, "okay, I'll come with you."
The other two children excitedly jump her into a group hug. "Great! We'll train together and be super badass ninja!"
"Yeah! I'll be so strong I'll be able to rule the world!" Ritsuka says, jumping back and getting into a heroic stance, "then everyone will have to listen to what I say!"
Naruto looks at her and sticks out his tongue, "I'd never listen to you even if you were Kami herself," his face then morphs into grin, "besides, I'm the one who's gonna be the strongest!"
Ritsuka scowls at him, "no! I'll be the strongest!"
"No, I will!" Naruto yells back as they get in each other's faces, sparks flying between them.
Konan couldn't help but giggle at the display before it turns into hearty laughter, making the two look in her direction and eventually join in.
After the laughter settles down Naruto grabs her hand and Ritsuka grabs the other, "come on, let's go home!" The blonde says with a wide smile that's mirrored by the orangette.
Konan smiles brightly for the first time in a long while, "yeah!"
-XXX-
Two figures could be seen walking through the heavy rain, one a child in a raincoat and the other a small dog.
"So hungry..."
The child then collapses face first on the wet ground.
"Is this how I die?"
"Run Honoka! Get away from here! Gah!"
"Shit! Civilians? But they said there were none in this area!"
"I'm sorry! They said everyone had moved out, you have to believe me!"
"AHHH!"
The child grits her teeth, "Dad...Mom..."
The dog next to her nudges her with a small whine.
"Chibi..."
Just as she is about to pass out the rain above her stops suddenly.
"Are you hungry?"
Looking up, Honoka sees a girl her age with blue hair and amber eyes holding an umbrella and holding out a loaf of bread with a small smile on her face. Getting up, she takes the food from the other girl and goes to take a bite but hears a whine coming from the small dog. Tearing half of the loaf, she sets it down in front of the dog so it could eat as she begins to finally fill her stomach after so long.
"Do you have anywhere to go?" The blue-haired girl asks as she takes a seat next to her, "ah, my name's Konan by the way."
Finishing her half of the bread she shakes her head, "no, my parents..."
Placing a hand on her shoulder Konan smiles sadly, "it's okay, the orphanage I was living in was attacked by ninja too, but thankfully I was found by my friends. Would you like me to take you to them?"
"Are you sure?" The redhead asks in slight disbelief.
The girl stands up, and holds out her hand, "yup, and you can bring your dog too."
Cracking a smile, Honoka grabs her hand, standing up as well with Chibi walking up to her after finishing his meal, "Okay then."
-Ame Orphan's Hideout-
"Naruto, Ritsuka, I'm back!"
"Welcome back Konan. Oh, who's this?"
Two kids walk up to the newly arrived duo. The boy has bright blonde hair with ice blue eyes and whisker-like scars on his cheeks while the girl has orange hair with matching eyes.
Bowing her head, the redhead introduces herself, "My name is Honoka, and this is my dog, Chibi."
"Ooooh so cute!" Ritsuka exclaims as she runs over and begins petting the dog with Konan making Naruto chuckle.
"I'm Naruto and she's Ritsuka." He says facing the girl, but frowns, "why do you have your hair covering your eyes?"
Honoka puts a hand over her bangs, "I don't know, I just always wore my hair like this..."
Naruto hums for a bit before getting an idea. Telling Honoka to wait, he runs over to one of the many crates in their cave, before coming back with a white headband, "Here, try this."
Taking the headband, Honoka puts it on her head, keeping the bangs from her face and revealing her eyes, which were completely purple with concentric rings covering each eyeball.(3)
"Woah...your eyes are really cool," Naruto says, getting closer to admire them, making the girl blush a bit.
"Ah...t-thank you-" she says before her stomach begins to rumble, making her blush deepen in embarrassment.
"Oh! I'm sorry. You're probably really hungry, let's get you something to eat, alright?" Naruto says with a smile, and Honoka nods as Konan and Ritsuka come up next to her with Chibi on Ritsuka's head.
-One Year Later-
After Honoka and Chibi joined their ragtag group of orphans, the now quartet carried on as usual, stealing food and supplies from merchants in town but also now deciding to watch the various ninja battles going around in their war-torn country to better learn how ninja fight.
"Come on you guys. Three ninjas are fighting Hanzo right now!"
Five small figures race across the rain soaked plains as they head toward the sounds of battle, eventually reaching a cliff where they see four giant animals in the forms of a salamander, a snake, a slug and a toad. Each with a person standing on their heads.
"Woah, so those are summoning animals," Naruto says in slight awe as he watches the intense battle ensue. "This is so baddass..."
"I know right..I want one..." Ritsuka murmurs next to him with stars in her eyes, "though I think I'd want it to be a horse instead. What about you Konan?"
The bluenette puts a finger on her chin in thought before smiling, "maybe a butterfly so I can fly around? That sounds fun!"
Both Naruto and Ritsuka look at her like she's crazy. "Eh? How are you supposed to fight with a butterfly?" Naruto asks with a quirked eyebrow. "You need something suuuper strong like a fox or something!"
"You're just saying that because you look like one with those whiskers," she replies with a giggle before turning to Honoka who was petting Chibi. "What about you Honoka? What type of giant summon would you want?"
The redhead tilts her head slightly and lifts up her white headband so that one of her purple-ringed eyes were exposed to look at the raging battle below, "I think a giant dog would be nice, so that Chibi could have someone to play with."
"Ehhhh," Ritsuka pouts slightly at the boring answer. "That's too plain.. oh! What about a three-headed dog instead? That would be cool wouldn't it?"
Honoka just shrugs her shoulders and lets her headband fall back over her eyes, once again watching the battle through her natural keen senses, but her eyes quickly widen under the headband as she senses something coming their way, "duck!"
Yelling out her warning, she quickly tackles her friends as a giant fireball suddenly screams in their direction, just barely missing the group of orphans but hitting the rockface behind them, causing it to explode and start raining large chunks of rock directly on top of them.
Honoka looks up with wide eyes, barely noticing that her headband has slipped from its place across her eyes. Subconsciously, she throws up both of her hands and utters two words that would change her and her friend's lives forever.
Almighty Push!
A wave of power soaks the area and gravity reverses in front of Honoka's open palm, blasting away the large debris before it could even get close to her or her friends. Naruto, Ritsuka, Konan and even Chibi look at the display with their mouths agape.
Thump!
"Honoka!"
The three children and dog race over to the redhead who had fallen over and passed out onto the muddy ground. Naruto quickly hefts her up and puts her on his back with the help of Ritsuka while Konan looks on worriedly.
"What happened to her?"
Ritsuka shakes her head and shifts Honoka into a more comfortable position on Naruto's back, "I don't know, but I think it has something to do with that boulder that almost fell on us," she says with a shudder at the thought of what could have happened if it did indeed fall on them. They would be lucky to get away with just injuries if that were the case.
"Either way, let's get out of here and find a cave to hide in for now until they stop fighting." Naruto states to which the two girls and dog quickly agree. They were in way over their heads when they came to watch the battle that was raging below and need to find shelter until everything calmed down.
-XXX-
It was several hours later when Honoka finally woke up.
Upon opening her eyes, she was immediately pounced on by the entire group with each of them asking if she was okay.
"Honoka, are you alright? You passed out!"
"Did you get hurt anywhere when you fell?"
"How'd you do that cool push thing?!"
"Arf!"
Naruto, Konan, Ritsuka and Chibi all pounced on her in that order. She could tell by the looks on their faces that they were genuinely concerned for her wellbeing, even Ritsuka, though she also had stars in her eyes at her new ability.
"I'm fine, just a bit dizzy. When I saw that rock falling, I was really scared one of you would get hurt, next thing I know my eyes started feeling weird before everything went black."
To be honest, it reminded her of the night her parents were killed by those ninja. The exact same thing happened and when she woke up hours later, they were all dead.
Your eyes huh?" Naruto hums to himself while thinking, "maybe they're a bloodline? Like the Uchiha clan from Fire Country."
"Eh? You think she's an Uchiha then?" Ritsuka asks from the side, making Konan shake her head in the negative.
"No, she couldn't be. The sharingan is supposed to be red, her eyes are purple."
"Then maybe they're super sharingan!"
"That doesn't make sense Ritsuka, I doubt her eyes are related."
While the two girls were animatedly discussing their friend's new eyes, Naruto was checking over Honoka by looking for any injuries, "are you alright?"
The redhead blushes slightly at the worried look on his face and shakes her head side to side. "Just a little tired, but I'm fine."
"Hmm…"
Naruto frowns and leans closer, staring deep into her eyes, and in response, a deep blush crawls over Honoka's cheeks. "Wh-What are you doing?"
"Just making sure," he mutters, placing a palm on her forehead as if he were checking her temperature before nodding, "okay, you're all good. Still, it was really cool what you did. Do you think you'll be able to do it again?"
Still blushing from his touch, she shrugs her shoulders. "I don't know, but I can try again.." Looking over at the two arguing girls along with Chibi who was running around with his tail wagging happily, she concentrates while holding her hand out while making sure to use as little chakra as possible.
…..
…
Nothing seemed to happen..but before she became discouraged, she suddenly felt something welling in her eyes as two words that were different from last time came to her mind.
Universal Pull!
Just as Chibi jumped into the air, he suddenly froze, drawing everyone's attention, before he slowly floated into a stunned Honoka's open arms.
Silence prevailed in the small cave until Ritsuka broke the silence by running over and yelling 'so cool!' This broke Konan and Naruto out of their stupor, and they too went over to Honoka's side.
"Looks like you can control it," Naruto says with a wide grin, "that means we gotta train it! Imagine all the food we could get with that pull thing. Better yet, we should all start training seriously from now on."
Konan smiles as well and nods along, "it would make it much easier, but where would we go for training. Plus what if adults find out and try to kidnap her like other kids?"
"Then we just have to find someone super strong that can protect us!" Ritsuka exclaims while standing up. "That way all four of can train too, and I got just the people who could do it."
Raising an eyebrow, Naruto looks to the orangette who was wearing a proud smirk, "oh yeah? Who?"
"Those guys that were fighting Hanzo of course! They gotta be strong to not die immediately like every other person!"
"But they were still getting beat though…" Honoka says with a mutter, recalling the glimpses of the fight they managed to see before that giant rock fell on them, "plus they're Leaf shinobi. Can they be trusted?"
She still had trauma from when ninja from that village barged into her house and killed her parents, so she was a bit apprehensive.
Understanding this, Ritsuka puts her hand under her chin in thought before snapping her fingers when she comes up with an idea. "How about we test them first then!"
"A test? What kind?" Konan asks with an inquisitive expression, making Ritsuka grin wide with confidence.
"Hehe, just leave that to me. You guys follow my lead!"
"Hey, you three! Give me some food!"
"This was the idea she came up with?!"
Naruto wanted to facepalm when Ritsuka just brazenly walked up to the three adults sitting in front of them and demanded food, but since they were currently playing the role of starving orphans, he had to settle for doing it in his mind instead.
The four of them had managed to track the three ninja in the rain after their fight with Hanzo into a cave where they were resting. From the pillar he, Konan, Honoka and Chibi were hiding behind, Naruto managed to take in the three's features.
The first was a tall man with pale white skin, long black hair, and snake-like yellow eyes. Next to him was a woman with hair the same color as his with honey brown eyes sitting on a rock and beside her on the same rock was another man with black eyes and long, spiky white hair.
All three of them were indeed from the Leaf Village by their headbands and armor.
The man with white hair looks at Ritsuka confused. "What about your parents?"
"They were killed by ninja in the war."
Hearing her words made him and the woman next to him visibly frown. He then reached into his back pouch and pulled out something. "Here…have some biscuits."
Seeing this, Ritsuka nods and turns toward the pillar. "Naruto, Konan, Honoka, Chibi, come out! They don't seem like bad guys!"
Just as they planned beforehand, they all stepped out, with Honoka covering her eyes with her white headband just in case any of the adults recognized them. All four immediately rush over, grabbing the biscuits and even taking from the blonde woman, who could only make a small noise of surprise at her food getting snatched up too.
After they wolfed everything down, the three shinobi eventually packed up and left with the woman grumbling under her breath as they did so. However, the orphans and their dog were hot on their tail, following them through the rain.
Seemingly fed up at the fact they were being trailed, the woman turns around in frustration. "We already gave you food! Why are you still following us?!"
Smiling, Konan steps forward while holding something behind her back. Suddenly, she brings it forward, making the woman step back on guard only to be stopped by the white-haired man as he noticed what was in Konan's hand.
It was an origami flower made from the wrapping that came with the biscuits.
"Thank you for the food, I made this for you!"
The woman was slightly stunned but still took the paper flower while muttering a small 'thank you'. Seeing this interaction, the other three orphans nod at each other and Naruto steps forward.
"Please teach us ninjutsu! You guys are shinobi, right? We want you to train us."
Hearing Naruto's words makes the pale man frown, and he speaks for the first time. "Should I kill these children?" His words immediately put everyone on guard, even making Honoka almost flip up her white headband to use her eyes in case they needed to make an escape. "I've seen many war-orphans like these, it's cruel… It would be best to just put them out of their misery."
Thankfully his other two teammates look at him like he's crazy with the white-haired man even sternly telling him to stop. He then looks at the four orphans with a serious expression. "You and Tsunade go back without me. I'll stay behind and look after these kids for a while."
"Huh?! Jiriaya-"
The woman now known as Tsunade tries to speak up, but is interrupted, "their parents were killed because of this needless war, it's the least I could do."
His response was firm and left no room for argument. His two teammates obviously wanted to protest but seeing the look in his eyes, they decided to back down.
Soon after, they said their goodbyes and left, leaving Jiraiya and the four orphans. "So," he says, bending over to get eye level with them with a wide, toothy grin on his face, "the name's Jiraiya, what's yours?"
-XXX-
Weeks have gone by since Jiraiya took in the orphans and Chibi, and in that time, they managed to make a small shack in the far outskirts of the village their home. They ate together and talked every day, with Jiraiya often talking about his home village, Konoha, and the legendary figures that were born there.
The one that really captivated Naruto was whenever he talked about Madara Uchiha. How he was just as strong as the First Hokage and even managed to tame and ride the mythical nine-tailed fox due to his visual prowess.
But if there was one complaint they all had, it was that Jiraiya had outright refused to teach them ninjutsu no matter how much they asked, only giving them drills to further their conditioning. Each time they repeatedly asked, he would say it was too early for them then run all four through more drills.
That was until one day, an incident happened…
"Guh!"
"Ritsuka!"
Honoka yells out in panic as Ritsuka is pushed to the ground by a shinobi from Iwa after he demanded they hand over all of their food.
Naturally, with the orangette being the hothead she was, she told him to go away in a not so polite manner that made the ninja angry, leading to the current situation.
Naruto glares at the man as he looms over the three, by now Chibi and Konan should have already gone to get their sensei so they had to buy time somehow. Gritting his teeth, Naruto called upon his bloodline. It was still rough due to it not being well trained but, in his mind, it should be good enough.
The rainwater that gathered in his palm slowly froze into the shape of a crude looking kunai as he gripped it tightly. Then, with a loud yell, he lunged toward the ninja, fully intent on stabbing him. But seeing as he was a barely trained orphan, the ninja easily saw through him and responded with a swift backhand that sent the blonde flying.
"Naruto!"
Honoka could only watch on in terror as the shinobi now approached him with his sword drawn. It was obvious what he intended to do, and it made her terrified that her friend would die.
As her emotions built up, so did the chakra in her eyes, once again releasing its power as her white headband slipped from over her eyes.
Almighty Push!
With an instinctive movement of her hand, a familiar wave of invisible force rushed out at full force, hitting the shinobi in the back with such concussive force, it sent him flying into a nearby rock wall with blood spewing from his mouth.
His body hit the surface and left a deep indent before he fell to the ground motionless.
Naruto stared wide-eyed at the scene. Though he knew the potential Honoka's eyes had, it was a whole different thing to see what it could do to a human. But he had to shake his thoughts off as he saw Honoka hyperventilating after killing someone for the first time.
Running over, he quickly comforts the redhead while helping Ritsuka up from the ground. Luckily, the orangette was only roughed up a little and didn't suffer any major injuries.
Just as Honoka was finally calming down, the sound of Konan, Jiraiya and Chibi running over was heard.
Konan and Chibi quickly go up to them and ask if everyone was okay, but Jiraiya stopped fully, looking surprised when he sees Honoka's eyes for the first time, seemingly recognizing them.
The way he was staring at them put the orphans on guard and it looked like they were ready to run if need be. But Jiraiya eventually shook his head and went over to help.
It was from that day, they started to learn ninjutsu.
From then on, along with daily drills, there were lessons on chakra control and weaving hand signs. It was here he also learned of the bloodlines Naruto and Konan had.
Naruto's was fairly easy to teach as he had run into several Yuki clan members in the past, but he had never seen the one Konan contained before so training for her had to almost be from scratch.
During this time Ritsuka felt a little left out as she was the only one who didn't have a bloodline, but she was placated by the fact her affinity for water natured chakra was quite high.
But, while Naruto knew of the clan he belonged to and Konan didn't really care about hers, Honoka still wanted to know her own background. So, she asked Jiraiya if he knew of anyone with the same eyes as her.
Having been asked this question, he naturally didn't want to tell her the truth that she had the eyes of the Sage of Six Paths as it would put too much pressure on the young girl's shoulders, he looked for an excuse.
Taking inspiration from her deep red hair and high chakra capacity, he suggested that she might be an Uzumaki. A clan that was once feared throughout the Elemental Nations for their terrifying sealing abilities until they were destroyed by several villages who joined together.
Though she was sad at the fact she was one of the last of her clan, she quickly cheered up when Jiraiya offhandedly mentioned an Uzumaki in his home village one of his students had been sweet on since they were in the academy and inwardly, she vowed to meet her fellow clan member one day.
And now, after three whole years of training, the kids have grown by leaps and bounds, so Jiraiya decided to give the group of orphans one final test.
Water Style: Raging Waves!
In the pouring rain, Ritsuka goes through many hand seals before puffing her cheeks and letting out a blast of water from her mouth aimed at Jiraiya, forcing the white-haired ninja to dodge. Next to her Konan and Honoka run up as well with the bluenette having several pieces of paper floating behind her while the redhead clasps her hands together as they both channel chakra.
Paper Shuriken!
Wind Style: Gale Palm!
Konan swings her arms forward, sending the sharpened pieces of paper flying, which are then boosted by the gale-force winds generated by Honoka. The attack makes a beeline for Jiraiya, but easily seeing this, he intends to dodge past it yet again like he did with Ritsuka.
But just as he means to do so, the rain-soaked ground freezes over and covers his foot, trapping him in place and letting the paper shuriken sent by Konan sink deep into his chest.
His eyes go wide in surprise and he turns his head slightly to see a trail of ice leading to Naruto, who was giving him a smirk with the blonde's ice-covered hands planted on the ground. Then, Jiraiya disappears in a puff of smoke, showing it was only a shadow clone.
As soon as this happens Ritsuka jumps in the air and pumps her fist. "Heck yeah! How was that sensei?!"
From the side, the real Jiraiya walks up with a slight smirk and crossed arms, "Heh, you four are actually able to take down my shadow clone now, eh?" As he says this, the four kids in front of him smile even wider but the smirk on his face now turns a bit somber, "now I can return to my village without any worries."
Their looks of joy and celebration immediately fade as they hear their sensei's words.
"Huh?" All four ask at the same time, looking at Jiraiya with looks of disbelief, making the older ninja smile even more.
"From now on you guys are on your own," he continues with a proud smile. "you've done well these past three years!"
All four could only stare on before Ritsuka's shoulders suddenly started shaking as tears built up in her orange eyes.
"Hehe, don't cry Ritsuka, or else people will think you're a coward."
The orangette quickly wipes her eyes at Jiraiya's words and denies vehemently. "I-I'm not crying! It's the rain!"
Chuckling, he moves on to Konan who was crying freely. "Konan, you're the one with a real head on your shoulders. Try and prevent Naruto and Ritsuka from going too wild, okay?"
"Mm.." she could only nod and make a noise of affirmation as tears and rain poured down her face.
He then moves on to Honoka who was looking worried. "I know what you're concerned about Honoka and don't worry. You have everyone here and if you keep them in your heart, I'm sure you'll be able to use those eyes for great things in the future! I'm also looking forward to you visiting Konoha one day to meet your clansmen."
The look of concern melts from the redhead's face and she looks to her friends before it turns to a look of determination, making him nod in approval.
Finally, he faced Naruto who already stared at him as if he already knew what to do in his absence. The determination in those blue eyes reminded him of a certain blonde kid back in his home village. "Naruto, make sure you take care of all these girls. They're bound to be beauties in the future so don't mess it up, alright?"
Seeing the blonde nod, he continues talking. "This is a poor land. And there's going to be more sadness and tough times ahead. But now, the four of you have the strength to change this land," he then turns around and begins walking away from the four orphans, "You four have really grown, and now it's up to you to change this land…Remember, as long as there are those that believe in hope, peace will definitely come!" With that, he walks off into the distance, leaving the four children he raised into ninja behind, believing that one day they could change this ever-crying country, or maybe even the entire ninja world, for the better.
As his figure disappears into the rain, the four orphans all wipe their tears and make a promise while standing close together.
They would do just as their sensei said and change their country from one filled with death and despair to one that brings hope and fulfillment to all its citizens.

A/N: There we go! This Naruto (Which is basically just an OC) has the Ice-style bloodline and lives in Rain with a genderbent Yahiko and Nagato, along with Konan as four orphans. As you can tell, he'll be older than canon Naruto which opens me up to a bunch of pairings with older, non-Konoha women.
So, what'd you think? Good, I hope.
(1): Yahiko has been genderbent and turned into Ritsuka Fujimaru(aka Gudako) from the fate series. I just really liked her character, and she has orange hair just like him so I thought it would fit.
(2): In canon, Konan's paper style was just a technique she made from her love of origami, but in this fic, I'm making it a bloodline cause I thought that would be cooler.
(3): Nagato has also been genderbent and replaced with Honoka. That one redheaded ghost girl from the anime filler that took place before Naruto's training to master Kurama's chakra and most notes as well as online consensus has her as a member of the Uzumaki clan.
