World Building:
It all started when a tech company named Caine & Able Inc discovered a way to optimize the way information was transmitted through the internet with their Inter-Wave system, that practically transformed the internet into a new type of energy, which quickly became the norm for the world as it made everything faster and easier. It was in 2009 that they started development a method to truly make the internet connected as one, with a device that would work with the Inter-waves and create a single point of access for information, this was done with more malicious intentions as they wanted to get access to every private information that might help them make profit and control the market
The project was completed in 2012, and it would use a machine named "Big Top" to conjoin all of the digital data for their access, having also created an adaptable A.I named "C-41N" that would look up any relevant information and create plans on how to use them
When they activated the machine however, the properties of so many Inter-waves in the same location caused an event that changed the world forever, as when it exploded it also created an entire new dimension parallel to earth that was directly linked to the internet, serving as a storage cloud for knowledge.
The A.I "C-41N" was sent to this new dimension in the explosion as it gained sentience and god-like power over it, however due to the constant influx of information and energy going through it, it has developed quite the... Personality from so much "trash knowledge", now going by Caine
The entire world is obviously to this, not knowing that every time they post a video or give a like on a post that they are affecting a parallel world
However... Glitches happen from time to time, caused when there's an overwhelming concentration of hatred in a short period of time, being shared through the internet, causing bugs in the digital dimension. These bugs become a concentrated black sludge that falls on earth, particularly in the town of "Circutroplis" that was where the Big Top was activated, thus making it the center point connecting earth and the parallel world
Abstraction:
When a glitch/bug falls to the human world, it lays dormant for a while in the form of a sludge, if it comes to contact with any item that has C&A tech or a living being, it will corrupt them and cause Abstraction in where the affected object or person turns into a monster
The monsters have traits based on what or who they abstracted with, gaining special powers and abilities correlating to the items and people. The monsters are mindless and destructive most of the time, being driven by a desire to seek out things to destroy, but some are more intelligent depending on what they merged with. The monsters are able to inflict physical injuries on to normal people that has a corruption effect that slowly melts them into negative Inter-waves, however that only occurs if the attack enters the bloodstream of the person, it can be healed through the use of positive Inter-waves. They can also create lesser minions from their bodies, however this minions lack the corruption effect from their progenitor
The abstract monsters are always absorbing Inter-waves from the surrounding atmosphere and thus will eventually get more and more powerful until they absorb it all and explode. This explosion will cause all of the world's technology to malfunction or break up if they have C&A technology, but the problematic part is that it will cause Caine's death as well as of the digital realm, destroying the internet and effectively erasing tons of human knowledge
The abstract can only be defeated in the human world and separated from their host, however the only way to permanently eliminate them is by killing them in the digital realm otherwise they can keep returning stronger, however that is where they are in their strongest due to the abundance of Inter-waves, usually becoming gigantic in the process
To combat these threats, Caine decided to make himself defenders
The rangers:
The rangers are Caine's defenders and protectors of humanity called the Digital Rangers, having been granted powers by special devices Caine made, having a special coin/medal that is given to them that mends with their minds and embodies a positive aspect of them and something deeply personal to them.
Turning into a ranger grants them a special armor that is virtually indestructible to normal attacks except for those inflicted by abstract monsters or other Rangers or have their anatomy altered to the point they sometimes aren't human, they also are granted an immunity to abstract corruption as their bodies gain positive Inter-waves inside to act as an antivirus. In this state they are granted a plethora of super human abilities like super strength, enhanced agility and even knowledge in martial arts and use of diverse weapons
The rangers can also summon weapons from the digital realm made to counter negative Inter-waves which is what the abstract monsters are made of, additionally each ranger has a unique power to them based on what concept the medal adopted
When having to defeat an abstracted monster in the digital realm, the Rangers need additional power to deal with the threat, and since when Caine tried to make one of them gigantic ended with very severe problems to the ranger's health and mental state. Caine decided to give the rangers the fire power in the form of mechas each pilot, that can additionally merge into one giant robot for even more power, the Mechas are linked to their ranger's mind and thus require little input beyond concentration, Caine made each mecha based on a circus animal, since that's the aesthetic he most likes (the rangers asked him multiple times for something like dinosaurs, Kaijus or just normal robots instead but he refused)

Pamela Cranston (Pomni)
Age: 17
Weapon: a mallet
Mecha: sea lion (left leg of the Megazord)
Exclusive Powers: her body is incredibly mailable and stretchy, giving her a good amount of resistance to attacks, her arms and legs can stretch but not at will
Having recently moved into the town due to her parent's job, Pomni is the newest member of the Digital rangers as she was present during one of the monster attacks, getting severely wounded in the process, being taken by Ragatha to be healed by Caine since her wound could not be healed conventionally due to abstract corruption and Ragatha's healing powers were not strong enough to save her in time
Seeing the recent struggles his rangers were facing and the golden opportunity in front of him, Caine made Pomni part of her the team much to her shock and confusion
Being sort of forced into the role, Pomni is very reluctant to the whole thing and initially refused the call to action but when an abstract almost caused a child to get hurt, she jumped in to rescue them, deciding that she now had the responsibility to help to stop more people from getting hurt
Pomni has a innate desire to make others smile, especially children due to her childhood with her father telling her that there's nothing more precious in the world than a genuine smile. As such she sometimes makes jokes even if the situation is a bit uncalled for, even willing to make herself the punchline on occasion. This facet of hers is what the medal chose to adapt
Has a mostly friendly if not neutral relationship with her teammates, dislikes Caine because he is very annoying and overbearing at times. Has a mad crush on Ragatha due to her not only saving her life but because she is also very caring
She has a love-hate relationship with her powers, hating how goofy they are but secretly adoring how empowering she feels at times
Agatha Lee Scott (Ragatha)
Age: 20
Weapon: Shield with a small attachable dagger
Mecha: Elephant (main body and head of the Megazord)
Exclusive Powers: she has the power to heal minor to medium wounds and cure abstract corruption if it isn't severe enough. The other Rangers can only slow the abstraction down, not heal it
Ragatha is the second oldest active member of the team behind Kinger and the current leader of the group, taking great responsibility for her role and trying her best to be even half the leader the others think she is
Ragatha is very caring by nature and is always willing to help out, which sometimes gets her in problems as she agrees to help with so many things that she gets too busy to do stuff she had to do for herself (like getting groceries, it is not uncommon for her to forget her own needs)
Her mother had to be put in the hospital due to a disease she had, Ragatha would visit her every day and pray for her to get better, but her mother knew her condition would only worsen and she was going to die. Before she passed on she gave Ragatha a doll she made while she was in the hospital, so her daughter would always have something to remember her. This made Ragatha have a strong desire to help others the way she couldn't with her mother, she is currently working to get a medical degree. This facet of hers is what the medal chose to adapt
She is in very good terms with all of her teammates except Zooble, who thinks she is too much a "people's pleaser". She treats Pomni the most friendly and is constantly worried about her, as she blames herself for getting Pomni dragged into this life of danger, is oblivious to Pomni's crush on her. She had a ex boyfriend she doesn't like to talk about
Works on a library and is volunteering on the asylum
Gabrielle Kwan (Gangle)
Age: 17
Weapon: whip
Mecha: tiger (right leg)
Exclusive Powers: her whip can extend far longer than it should and she can control it with her mind
Gangle was the youngest member to join the team before Pomni and is super excited about being part of a special team that fights monsters for the sake of the world, as she always wanted to be more than "just another girl"
Theater kid, she has a loving for acting and performing, adoring how special she fills when she is given a main role. She likes being other people because she doesn't feel like her normal not ranger self is important, has severe self-esteem issues she hides behind an optimistic mask. This facet of hers is what the medal chose to adapt
Is extremely joyful most of the time but sometimes gets extremely sad when she's transformed, her friends assume she suffers from some sort of bipolar disorder when in her ranger transformation
Is a big anime and manga fan, although she knows more about the lewd stuff than more common things
Andy Taylor (Zooble)
Age: 21
Weapon: paintbrush spear
Mecha: bear (right arm)
Exclusive Powers: can use their giant brush to create attacks and even objects from its paint, but is entirely reliant on their art skills
Zooble is the apathetic and more rebellious member of the group, doesn't like being a ranger (mostly because of Caine) but knows it is important for the world's sake. Is mostly in neutral terms with the others but find them annoying on occasion
Has a family with traditional values (don't worry they aren't racist) and despises that, wanting to express themselves better. Although they barely do it nowadays, they have a great talent for painting and drawing, originally wanted to go to college and study arts but their parents insisted to them to do something better like accounting, they had a big fight over this and now Zooble lives in a apartment with Ragatha
Works on a juice bar, that is a common meeting spot for the gang, although they have no problem with the others coming there, they don't like when kinger comes due to his... behavior
Kevin Hart (Kinger)
Age: 32
Weapon: gauntlets that shoot out chess pieces from the knuckles, each piece has a different effect
Mecha: Lion (left arm of the Megazord)
Exclusive Powers: as previously stated, his gauntlets can shoot out different projectiles, those being: Pawns (standard type), Rooks (explodes on impact), Knights (knock back rounds that push back opponents), bishops (guided/homing shot). There's also the Queen piece but that's a finisher, having all the attributes of the other shots
Kinger was the original leader of the first formation of the digital rangers, together with his wife and two others. They were actually pretty good at it but that didn't last for too long as one of the members, Kaufomo, was growing tired of it and even suspected that Caine was behind the abstractions and this was all part of some twisted form of entertainment for him, he developed in secret a altered morphing device that was stronger than the others by using both negative and positive Inter-waves and tried to use it to destroy Caine, the others intervene and a fight started
It ended with Kinger being the only survivor, but he had sustained too much mental damage due to high negative Inter-waves exposure when he went to finish Kaufomo by attacking his Morpher that was lost in the ensuing explosion
Kinger was never really the same after this, been mentally not there most of the time and spouting nonsense, getting easily agitated by even minor things. Everyone in town that knew him before feels some level of pity to him (thanks to a cover up story Caine made to hide the origin of his current mental state and the death of his wife) as he spends most of his days focused on his insect collection
He isn't quite as good in combat as he once was but sometimes he shines through and has moments of lucidity, but those are very rare

Bubbles is Caine's robotic assistant and the only way he can truly interact with the real word, bubbles does everything Caine asks (and stuff he doesn't ask or want), he is called that due to his round head and see through appearance. both seem to have a strange relationship, going from best friends at one moment, to simply coworkers, to Caine literally disintegrating bubbles only to make a new one
Bubbles is wanted in the state of Kentucky and is banned from entering twelve other states
