Chapter 20
Two days later, Tonya and her friends were found having walked out of the forest in a town that miles from Forks. I was excited, thrilled, and nearly fainted when I heard the news. I couldn't wait to call her. But I was told to give her family time. I did. Soon as I felt that she was alright, I called. I was relieved. Three innocent lives were not taken from this world.
Yet, Jacob felt that Alice Cullen could take me from this world. I had to deal with unsuspecting anger from him. I could tell that it was bad vibes between the Cullens and the tribe. It was still a mystery as to how she got my phone number. She mentioned that she could help. Either way, Christmas was celebrated without worries. There was slight fear in my heart though.
My parents can be targeted by Clyde. Sam speak that it is be handled. How can you handle a vampire that can infiltrate himself into the mind? Plus, when did this world comes so supernatural?
I angrily growl staring out of Jacob's kitchen window holding a cup of hot chocolate. Howl! Howl! Since stepping on this tribe, wolves have been howling left and right. Let's not add that I haven't seen Jacob in nearly 20 minutes. This man left for a carton of milk and disappeared. I don't know. I can't be too mad. I don't know the layout of this tribe.
Is there even a store here? I know Sue has a diner. Looking around his living room, his family's pictures all over the wall. His mother died. He's been taking care of his wheelchair bound father. At the age of 16, the man is an angel. Not only that but he's single. I breathe out trying to calm my nerves. I shouldn't be talking about Jacob like that.
The front door opens to Paul who is toting a pink suitcase. Okay, this is super awkward. "What are you doing here?" He asks stepping in. "Visiting Jacob. He went for milk. Waiting on him." I drink walking to the couch. "You smell on your period." My jaw drops in shock. He walks off to the hall. I don't even know how to respond of that statement. "Get out." He grabs my jacket off the coat hanger and throw it in my face.
"Wh-" He roughly grabs my arm and forces me out of the house. "Paul, stop!" I'm tripping over my feet and he's still dragging me to my car. What is his problem? He slams me up against it. "What is your probl-" "Sleeping with Jacob." "No! Why wou-" "You smell of cum." I laugh. "I smell of cum. I've never heard of that. Are you jealous?" If he is jealousy, he still has feelings for me. What does that mean for Rachel? He leans down and sniff my neck. I nearly melt under the warmth of his skin.
(Paul's House)
Spread out on the bed in nothing but my own sweat and juices, I watch as a naked Paul walks out of his room. He walks into his bathroom and closes the door. I smile grabbing his bedsheet and sniffing it. This is our scent. This is us. After he finishes his needs, he lays back on the bed. I climb on top of him and kiss on his lips. "Rachel is pregnant." "What?" I ask in disbelief.
"Three months pregnant." She's pregnant? "Oh." I climb off him in daze and leave the bedroom. I close the door behind me in confusion. She was pregnant when she confronted me in the store. The store! She attacked me. Then, I had a miscarriage. I place my hands on my stomach horrified. Could I be pregnant? No. I walk into the living room and take a seat. I'm not pregnant.
The pregnancy test was negative. I rest my head on the arm of the couch. She's pregnant. I might be pregnant. After I compose myself, I walk back to the bedroom. Paul is still in the same position. "Done?" "Am I done? I think s-" He holds his hand out to me. My heart instantly begins to beat. I walk over to the side of his bed and takes his hand. I think I love him.

Seated on Paul's couch, I stare at the ultrasound on the table. He showed me to show that Rachel is pregnant. I look behind me as he washes the little bit of dishes. I never noticed small his house is. His one-bedroom house nearly in the middle of nowhere. Truth be told, I know nothing of their relationship. "How long you and Rachel been known to each other?"
He doesn't answer the question. "Nothing?" "None of your business." None of my business. That's the response I get. "I'm not interested." I say getting up. I go into his bedroom and begin putting on clothes. Paul is not going to use me. Paul is not going to make a stepmother. Paul is not going to swallow me into a ditch. Soon as I put on my shoes, my phone wants to ring.
I grab it and answer it. "Hello." "Where did you go?" Jacob asks. "Are you serious? You left for milk. Disappeared for 80 years." "Not that long. I got duties. Where did you go?" "Paul came with a pin-" "Paul and my sister are having a kid. You shouldn't be around him. It'll be him and Rachel. Don't waste your time." "I'm seeing that. I'm heading home. Have you heard anything about Alice?"
"No. I didn't call her. Was I supposed to?" "No. I don't know why I asked her question." I get off the bed and walk into the living room. I frown not seeing him. "Paul is gone." "Yeah. I wouldn't be surprised he went back to Rachel." "She's not gone. He brought bac-" "Rachel is here to stay. She's having his kid. Don't let Paul drag you down because he will. He's selfish." Might be right.
