Set in Madison, Wi but all characters follow the twilight universe

A warm breeze blew threw my hair, sun shining in my eyes. It was June. Flowers blooming all around and long sunny days. The trees around me were in full green and the sky was the most brilliant blue. Not a cloud in sight. I couldn't shake the feeling of nastalgia. It felt like a summer in my childhood. Thoughts of a young brown haird girl racing around town with her friends, giggling without a care in the world

The semester had finally ended and I was enjoying my first few days of summer in Madison. People were really settling into the summer city vibes; paddle boards on the lake, bike rides on the capital city trail, and free music on King street.

My mind shifted to my handlebars in front of me. I was taking my bike on one of the paved paths to the terrace to grab a beer with some friends. Thursday evenings at the union terrace was our weekly tradition after 3 weeks of summer and I'd be damned to miss it.

I turned a few corners and ended up on the bike path all the students took, going under the bridge to get to downtown campus. The sound of the city getting closer and closer. The path the students take to get between two main roads was pretty packed. Everyone seemed to be out and about today. I stopped when the light turned red for pedestrians, taking a breather. After a green light, I'm off on my feet, trying to weave my way through the crowd.

I swirve through a few people walking in pairs, taking up as much space as they could. As I turned my head for a split second another biker crashes into me, sending us both to the stone path.

"Oh my gosh I'm sorry, I really wasn't looking," a boy said raising his eyes to meet mine. They were piercing green.

"Entirely mine, I'm trying to make it to grab a good table for my friends and I at the terrace."

" I hear People's Garden is playing. Supposedly theyre writing a new album right now."

"Honestly haven't heard of them."

"You should check them out sometime."

He never stopped with the eyecontact. I felt so percieved.

"I definitely will."

"well I gotta go, see ya around..."

"Bella"

"Bella. I'm Edward. Nice to meet you"

"You as well."

And with that he waves, picks up his bike and continues on the path. I stare back at him, a bit surprised by the interaction. He looks back and gives a wink. I immediately blush. I havent had a moment like that with someone in a while. Its niced to be noticed.

I grab my bike back up and get on the peddles, remembering my mission in the first place. I cross University ave and speed up to catch up to ny friends.
