Number 2: Valentine

"...What are you doing?" Amy asked in a surprised tone as she saw that Scourge had a bouquet of roses in his left hand…. how original.

"What's it look like, Pinks?" Scourge replied back with a slight scoff. "I'm asking ya to be my gal."

Amy raised an eyebrow ridge at that. The King of Moebius was asking her out? Seriously?

"Nice joke Scourge." Amy said with a frown. She brushed past him, holding a grocery bag with both arms in the process. The green hedgehog growled a bit as he glared at her, still clutching onto the roses.

"But I'm really not joking, Pinks!" Scourge exclaimed, as he chased after her. "I really do want you to be my gal!"

"Why?!" Amy said as she sharply turned her head towards him.

"Because…" Scourge began. It actually didn't occur to him why. "I think you're… hot?" He replied in a sheepish tone, his shark-like teeth showing.

Amy furrowed her face in anger and her cheeks puffed up.

"That's all?!" The pinkette exclaimed. "Is that all you see in women, you shallow piece of–!"

The pink hedgehog was cut off as she tripped and spilled her groceries right onto the floor. Amy groaned in annoyance. The eggs she had bought had broken and were spilled onto the floor. Just great. She huffed in irritation as she bent down to pick up what was left. She was about to up some cake mix, until a gloved hand reached down for it instead. She peered her eyes up and was pleasantly surprised to see Scourge pick it up for her.

"...Thank you?" Amy thanked in a confused tone. She grabbed it from his hands as the green hedgehog put one behind his back.

"...Don't mention it, Pinky." Scourge replied. "Now, there are other things I could be picking up too." He explained, with a slight smirk.

"What are you-" Amy was cut off as Scourge picked her up bridal style, much to her shock. Amy stared into his eyes for a second as he too did the same thing. Then, the green hedgehog gently placed her down.

"...You jerk!" Amy said with a huff. Scourge smirked, seeing her annoyed made him feel good inside.

"Well, I'm off, Pinks." Scourge said, hands in his jacket pockets. "See ya around~"

Amy stared at him and he walked off. She took her groceries home after that.

Valentine's Day was just around the corner! Amy loved this holiday. It was a day of love and romance, things she absolutely lived for. The pinkette got up early and went to the kitchen and started baking. Her kitchen was quite a mess, as cake batter went flying everywhere. She didn't mind though. She was actually making sweets for her beloved Sonic. It was a red velvet heart shaped cake with white dollops. This would be the one to do it, this would be the cake that Sonic would accept! The one where Sonic would be swept off his feet and would FINALLY accept her love back.

Amy had finished up the cake finally, and placed it in a pastel pink box wrapped in a darker pink ribbon. She went off on her way to visit Sonic, who was resting by a tree. She had butterflies in her stomach as she walked up to her blue hero.

"Hey Sonic," Amy spoke.

"Oh hey, Amy!" Sonic greeted. "What's up?"

"I um…" She began. "I made this cake for you!" She said, motioning to the box in her hands. "I worked really hard to make this cake just for you!" She said with a smile. She opened it up slightly to reveal the heart cake. Sonic stared at it for a good while. 'Do you like it?"

"Oh Amy, this is perfect!" Sonic replied back with a grin and thumbs up. "This is exactly what I needed!"

The pinkette had hearts in her eyes and she was ecstatic. However, her face dropped when she heard him say:

"Here you go Sally!" Sonic exclaimed with a grin as the aforementioned chipmunk princess just so happened to walk into the frame. "This is to show the love I have for you!" He grinned as Sally took the cake and they exchanged a small kiss. The Blue Blur turned to Amy, who looked at him in horror.

"Thanks so much Amy." Sonic said to her with a smile, as he placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled at her. "You're such a great friend."

Like fine china being disgraced on the floor shattering into a million pieces, so did Amy's heart. She could only watch in shock and horror as she saw Sonic carry Sally away bridal style off into the sunset.

Amy stood there petrified. Her legs froze over as she began to breathe heavily. Her heart thumped and it was practically beating out of her chest. Her vision was getting dark and she felt herself get faint and then-

Amy woke up on her bed with an ice pack. She looked around and was confused, especially since this wasn't the last place she was at.

"What the?!" She gawked, looking around a bit frantically.

"Oh good, you're awake." Scourge's voice said. The pinkette got a little spooked upon hearing him.

"What do you want?!" Amy exclaimed.

"Well I was around the area and then I saw you, you were getting all flustered, and then I saw you pass out." Scourge explained, who was leaning by her wall. Amy looked at him with a soft sort of look.

"You mean… you were the person that helped me?!" Amy gawked as she earned a nod from Scourge. "How did you even find the key to the door?"

"You left a spare key under your welcome mat" Scourge replied with a shrug. "It wasn't that difficult to figure out, I do the same thing back on Moebius."

Amy looked at him gently.

"Thank you…" Amy began. "For helping me,"

Scourge looked at her, a little shocked to hear someone say thank you to him. He softened a bit as he slowly approached beside her.

"Don't mention it…" Scourge replied sheepishly. There was a long pause between the green and pink hedgehogs.

"...The reason why I nearly passed out is because of Sonic…" Amy spoke up, sighing towards the end.

"Huh? What would Blue possibly do to cause you to nearly faint?" Scourge asked, who was now sitting on top of a toy chest.

The pinkette explained what happened only a few moments earlier, with Scourge listening with every word. At times, her emotions would fluctuate as she would ramble on and on about how Sonic did not return her feelings for her. The King of Moebius would also display this shift in emotions, as hearing about what he had done to her psyche caused Scourge to clench his fists in anger.

"Scourge?" Amy asked, seeing his mood change.

"Blue's a big jerk… ain't he?" Scourge replied in a low tone.

Amy only stifled a laugh. "You're one to talk, Scourge."

Scourge did not glare at her this time, because she was right; he is a big jerk as well, he was an even bigger jerk than Sonic.

"Yeah… you're right.." Scourge replied in a sheepish tone again, putting a hand behind his head.

"Thank you for being here with me." Amy began in a quiet tone. "During this time of year, I do often get lonely. Valentine's Day is approaching soon too, and how ironic is that?" She giggled a bit. Scourge did so well.

"Yeah, how ironic.." Scourge began. "Though, if you're lonely, perhaps I can help you out?"

"What do you mean?" Amy inquired, but not before she gasped as the green hedgehog took out a single red rose from what seemed to be the hammerspace.

"I want you to be my gal, Amy." Scourge declared, making the pinkette gasp at how he actually called her by her name. "I'm not just saying this because I think you're hot. I was constantly put down by Fiona and my gang back home. So then I was goofing off and causing trouble, you saw me and put me in my place."

Amy blushed a little, recalling the time Scourge did indeed try to destroy town.

"And well, for some reason, you were just really nice to me, constantly giving me food since I'm technically homeless, and overall… you've treated me better than anyone else ever had…" He explained. The pinkette could only stare at him with a shocked expression. Scourge was joking, right?

"You must be joking," Amy started. "There's no way you could possibly love me?" She asked, not until Scourge got down on one knee and still held out the rose.

"It is possible, I do love you." He repeated. Amy went silent as she looked him in the eyes.

"You said you're lonely on Valentine's Day, so let me help you." Scourge said quietly. "I promise I'll treat ya better than Blue ever could. So whaddya say we have a date by then, huh? How does a picnic sound?"

Amy could only stare at him as she teared up. She couldn't believe what was happening right in front of her. She bit her lip as she tried to find the words to respond to him.

"...Sure, I'd love that," Amy said, taking the rose from his hand. Scourge flashed a toothy grin at her, as his mood shifted to being peppy now.

"Just you wait, Pinks," Scourge said as he was taking his leave. "This'll be a Valentine's Day you'll never forget~"

Amy smiled at him from her bedside as they waved goodbye to each other. She held the rose in her hand and set it aside on her nightstand. Then the pink hedgehog drifted off to sleep

It was finally Valentine's Day. Amy woke up and got ready. She decided to wear a long, red dress with puffy sleeves with gold accents.

"I sure hope he won't stand me up…" She mumbled to herself.

Then she headed out, she stopped by her local bakery to purchase sweets for herself and Scourge. She hoped he had a sweet tooth.

Soon she arrived at the park where they would have their date. Admittedly, Amy did have to wait a little for the green hedgehog to arrive, but nevertheless, he actually came. He had a bag of chips, sodas, and two chili dogs. Amy felt like crying tears of joy. However, she held them in as she and the green hedgehog ate and talked. Scourge's chili dog actually had too much chili on it, and Amy only laughed at how silly he looked trying to get the spiciness out. Eventually, after they finished, they decided to go up on a hill which overlooked Knothole and there was the sunset.

"Scourge… can I ask you something?" Amy asked, as she and Scourge sat side by side together.

"Yeah?" He replied.

"...You're not gonna hurt me, are you?" She inquired in a hesitant tone, before she felt his body get close to hers; it wasn't too close, but it was close enough for Amy to turn red.

"Never ever. You're a gem in a world full of jerks." Scourge replied, as he looked at her. Amy smiled as she leaned on his shoulder. It was nice to finally have someone to like, maybe even love.

"You better not!" She exclaimed with a cheeky grin. "I'm glad to call you my Valentine, Scourge." She said with a blush. Scourge flashed a toothy grin back at her. "And I'm glad to be yours too~"

Ever since then, the pink hedgehog was no longer alone on Valentine's Day. Scourge always showered her with gifts; flowers, boxes of chocolates, etc. Amy smiled as her suitor had always made time for her. She wondered to herself, that maybe this was really it for her. She snapped out of her thoughts as for the following year, Scourge took her by the hand for their dinner date. Amy beamed as she ran into his arms and they shared a kiss.

Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad after all, she thought to herself.
