Sakura flipped her pen over and between her fingers as she studied the professor who was teaching before the whole class.

She hadn't gotten to say hello to Ino's ex. Her friends had stopped her.

She sighed when she remembered. It was a good thing though. She shouldn't waste her time on it for it was good riddance.

The time for the professor was up and the lecture was over.

Sakura stared at her class schedule, which she had stored on her phone, as she walked through the lit hallways of the university.

Physiology next. Ms Shizune's class.

She had her attention on her phone and didn't know when she almost bumped into someone, but she did feel a pointed finger on her forehead like as if it was effortlessly stopping her from moving any further.

She looked up, ignoring the long pointed finger still in front of her forehead, looked at the person in the eyes and muttered. "Sorry." Then she walked around the person and looked at her phone again.

Being a medical student was practically your life. You barely have time for anything else in your life, especially during the weekdays, so you just study, understand, go to labs and observe cells of different kinds of organisms, do practicals, attend lectures and eat. Sleep came rarely because you'd have to study at night.

Not all students do these but for an introvert like Haruno Sakura, this was her comfortable lifestyle. And sometimes...

"Woah woah woah, hey." A body suddenly popped up from beside her, startling her out of her thoughts.

She furrowed her brows at the culprit, still shocked. It's the same boy I almost bumped into. What does he want?

"You can't just bump into someone, say sorry and just walk off."

Huh? Sakura eyed him as he came to stand before her.

He was smirking lopsidedly and his sunset coloured eyes gleamed. "Honey, that's considered rude."

She blinked. "Do I know you?" She asked honestly.

The boy let out a chuckle and swept his long brown hair with his veiny hand, the other one in his pocket.

"I'm Tahashi Kosei." He bowed his head only an inch, slightly, without letting go of her gaze.

She looked around her as she nodded, hoping to get away quickly. "It was nice to meet you Kosei." She bowed her head the same way and started to walk away again.

But the guy came again, walking beside her this time.

She could feel his eyes on her. It made her uncomfortable. Her eyes roved to the side as they passed students. She shut her eyes. She didn't like this.

She stopped and turned around, ready to confront him, but that's when he started talking again.

"Haruno Sakura right?" His eye contact was maintained and ridiculously fantastic. "I've been seeing you around campus, but I haven't gotten the chance to speak with you."

He paused, a grin taking place on his lips. "You have beautiful eyes."

Sakura huffed out a tired sigh. "That's nice and all but can you not follow me around? I have class."

"But classes don't start until after a thirty minutes break from one." He declared, confused. "And isn't it Friday?"

Ah yes, Friday. She didn't think of that.

"Well, medical students don't have it easy, and you are making me uncomfortable with the stares and the crazy eye contact." She didn't even know this dude! All that his name was Kosei.

He shrugged. "It's not my fault you're beautiful. I can't help it." He replied like what he had just said, with nonchalance, would have no effect on a girl.

Then he smirked and took a step forward. "Will you go out with me this evening though? I would really like to get to know you more, Sakura."

Oh no. Oh no no no no. She was not going anywhere with some dude she'd just met five minutes ago. So, with a huff, she answered simply.

"No." She turned around and started walking away.

He came infront of her, eyebrows furrowed in sadness and lips almost in a pout. "Aw, why not?"

Please. "I have no time. Have a great day." She bowed hurriedly and tried to disappear from him but he held her wrist.

"C'mon Sakura." His voice was pleading.

Her eyes went wide when she saw him touch her. She frowned. "Will you l..."

A hand suddenly dropped unto Kosei's one on hers and gripped it, hard, cutting her off.

"I thought she said no. Accept rejection, boy, and leave her alone."

The voice that spoke was hard and deep, not betraying the threat that came with it, and oh...how it was so familiar.

Sakura's eyes widened some more when she saw him.

"Gaara." Happiness could be evident in her tone.

Kosei let go of her hand and faced the red-haired who was now standing infront of Sakura. He saw the scowl on that eyebrow deprived face but it did not stop a smirk from forming. He dipped both his hands into his pockets.

"Are you like her boyfriend?"

"Oh please," Gaara replied nonchalantly. "I am not one of those lousy things boys turn into and you people call."

Kosei chuckled lightly. "Things?"

Gaara took a step closer to him, sizing him up. "You're talking to her brother, brat."

"Oh." Kosei's mouth went:

"You better not bother her again, or else I'll have your tongue." Gaara said in a low, icy tone, meaning it.

Sakura let out a sigh and took Gaara's hand, leading them away from the scene with the troublesome dude.

Kosei was smirking at their backs, his head low and his dead eyes looking more intense.

"I do not think that I'll be submissive to your rules, brother in law. "

He muttered as he turned away and walked off, waving a lazy hand, even though they couldn't see him. See you soon, Sakura.

When they were out of sight, she hit him with the question.

"What are you doing here?"

Gaara still had a scowl on his face. "Who was that guy?"

"I don't know. What are you doing here?" She answered, her grin still toothy.

Clearly, she didn't care about the boy from earlier. He sighed through his nose and looked around. "We came to check up on you."

"We?" Sakura raised a brow, until realisation dawned on her. Her eyes went bigger.

Gaara stared at her, worried about her eye sockets.

"Temari and Kankuro...?"

"Yup." A female voice suddenly came from behind, along with the owner.

Sakura turned her gaze from Gaara and saw her two other siblings.

"Guys!" Oh how her heart could burst right now. When last did she lay her eyes on them? Four? Five years?

"Hey smallie." Temari greeted with a smile as she hugged the pinkette. "Sorry we couldn't get here earlier. Someone had to waste our time." She rolled her eyes at Kankuro, her voice laced with threat.

The culprit shrugged after giving Sakura a side hug. "It was only for a short time." He answered, trying to defend himself.

"You were talking to a bird." Temari faced him.

"It was looking at me!"

"That did not mean you should throw a stone at its wings!"

"I was trying to make it fly!!"

Sakura blinked her eyes. "What?"

Kankuro huffed out a breath as he looked away from Temari, who turned to Sakura and flung a arm around her shoulders.

"How is your not fun, dry life going?"

Sakura gave her a look. "You're making the life of introverts sound bad."

"It is bad. You have like what...two friends and the three of us, where you can go crazy with and all? People need people to survive in this world, kura. Just look at me, I am growing old without the tea, kura," she brought all her tippy fingers together and shook it infront of Sakura, "the teaaa. And where are the guys?"

"Pfft...I don't need guys."

Temari faked a gasp as she placed a hand onto her chest. "How will you make babies in the future then?"

Sakura sweatdropped. "You're seriously sounding like Ino now."

"Heh." Temari shrugged. "She's a good one."

Sakura shook her head as she started walking. "Come on, let's get you guys rested."

"Are your friends home?" Temari asked.

"Ino had to go register in a modelling company and Hinata had something to do with...urm, what was it again? Ah yes, pastries. She's with this international team that goes out of the country for jobs and clients." She turned to them again. "How long are you guys staying?"

"A few days. We rented a house around here."

"Why though? Have business?"

Temari glanced at Gaara and Kankuro, who were walking behind them. "More or less." She answered.

"More or less?"

"Hush, Sakura, let's go eat first." She curved her arm around Sakura's elbow. "I'm famished."

She chuckled as she stared at her. "You never change huh?" Something was up. Temari never changed a subject, unless... it's something she didn't want her to know about because it's either dangerous or suicidal. Sakura would have to play along if she wanted to subtly collect facts.

"Change? Neverrr!"

As the girls trailed off with their giggles, Kankuro turned to his brother.

"Gaara let's..."

"No!" The reply came instant and short.

"But you haven't heard what..."

"NO!"

At the other side of the city, a tall raven haired man stood before the road, frowning so deeply, you could see the irk mark.

His Beta and Gamma stood behind him, watching the rage that was radiating from him.

But Sasuke was not only vexed...

What... is this?
