The last time he had been here, in the human world, was two hundred years ago. He was solo working undercover in order to catch a rogue lycan without attracting the nosiness of the humans.
He had to fit in, understand their ways, their lifestyle and how their world works.
Standing here now, infront of the two legged creatures, facing a road with black and white stripes on it, he couldn't help but be overwhelmed.
This world was...not the world he had visited.
There were no more chariots or those little cars, a Heinkel Kabine bubble car in particular, which was in use in those days.
The women left their hair open and they didn't wear gloves. Men didn't wear coats and hats. The streets were more modified, especially with the white streaks on the tarred ground and the posts placed beside the road.
There were taller buildings than before, which were almost parrying with the clouds in the sky.
The sun was high and bright. He had to shield his face from it. A vampire would likely not survive in this sunlight. Suffocating smells filled the air and the big 3D screens on some of the buildings were displaying countless things.
Someone cleared their throat from behind the Alpha and said. "It seems like we overdressed."
Sasuke turned back and saw Naruto looking at the people around, who were staring at them.
After seeing the way their world has changed, he knew that the coats and hats they were wearing were probably part of the things they had left behind.
"We should go." Naruto suggested and Shikamaru sighed.
During his stay here, Sasuke had bought a house in his name, beside a children's school. Also he needed to start learning about the new world from the scratch.
Before they could fully walk away from those drilling gazes, an old woman walked up to them.
"Hello?" Her voice cracked as she touched his coat.
Sasuke snapped his head towards her, a growl almost erupting from his throat. No one dare touches him.
"You three look very handsome in those outfits." She said. "It's been a long time since I saw the young men of this generation wearing such things of old. It brings back memories." She smiled. "Can I take a picture with you three?"
Sasuke's jaw clenched as he stared at the woman, thinking of a thousand and one merciless ways he could end this creature.
Naruto instantly stepped forward, sensing the bloodlust radiating from his Alpha, and put a hand on the woman's shoulder. "Of course ma'am. Please get your camera."
"Splendid." She beamed and rummaged through her purse.
"Naruto."
The hair on the Beta's skin stood as the menacing growl pierced through his brain cells, even by telepathy.
Naruto turned around, raising both his hands in surrender. "Ok, I know you don't do these kind of things..."
"I don't." Sasuke glowered.
"...but this is an old woman whose day has just been made by three handsome young lads of this generation cherishing the scenes and events that have been embedded in her memory."
"You're three hundred years old." Sasuke narrowed his eyes, his voice low and domineering.
"Ok, so I am not of this generation. Please don't use your dominant aura to shut me up." Because he will. It was a responsive action in lycans and warewolves to surrender to submission when they feel the tense dominance coming from their Alphas. "Just make this obāsan happy."
Sasuke wasn't a very obedient type. Infact he was stubborn and wild. The lycans in Raikanrando called him the fiery menace, probably because he was a merciless maniac and a blessing to the underworld. He kills criminals and rogues without a second thought and increases the casualties in the underworld.
He turned around to leave, he was not going to stand here and participate in the nonsense they were going to do...well, that was until he heard someone say one word.
"Taken."
He looked at Naruto, his frown slowly deepening as the realization of what just happened dawned on him. His Beta had distracted him and a photo was taken.
Naruto took a step back and gulped, watching his Alpha as he walked away without saying anything.
"I'm going to die." He told Shikamaru, who shrugged and walked after Sasuke.
"It will be slow." He lazily answered in confirmation.
Naruto stared at Shikamaru's retreating back, replaying what he had just said in his head.
Bamboozled, he yelled. "Oi Shikamaru! What did you just say?!"
"Thank you dears." He heard the woman say with that smile still on her face.
He bowed hurriedly. "Ah yes, sayonara obāsan." He said and walked after the two men that were leaving him.
"Oi! Shikamaru!!"
Sasuke almost had a hard time finding his own home. He had to call the lycan, who he had put in charge of it, to direct him.
Why didn't the lycan just pick him up, you ask? Ah, well, he wanted to give his legs a stretch.
Actually no. In his fit of anger, he had walked away from the spot he was supposed to be picked up and ended up lost.
When he finally got to his abode, he was surprised to see that the children's school was no longer there. They had destroyed it.
What in Selene's madness was wrong with this world and its people?!
Now he was inside his house, sitting with his legs crossed, on one of the couches and listening to what the lycan was informing him about, with his Beta and Gamma sitting on the other couches, paying close attention too.
"...so our closest place to search is Konoha's University." The rich orange haired lycan concluded, his reddish orange eyes focused on his master.
Sasuke closed his eyes. He knew Jugo has been investigating under the pretence of being a housekeeper. There was a vampire they needed to abduct and he was the son of the Lord of all vampires, Dracula Kyuuseki, and the next in line.
Having him under their custody would render the enemy side less militant power because this one was very powerful.
Not only that, they needed him. He had a special kind of power like that of Masashi. Meaning, he could find the girl in the prophecy and the vampires could get her before they could. And having the girl on the enemy side could serve as a very disastrous disadvantage for them. She could be used against them, because according to Masashi, she was more or less like a goddess, and was very powerful.
So, they had to get the only vampire who had the physical powers of finding the girl and, even if by force, restrain his life.
"We could find Kyuuseki's son there." Jugo added. He'd had a lot of his people searching all over Japan for the boy, for fifteen years, and Konoha's University was the only place left.
"So we go to Konoha's University then." Naruto said.
"We can't just barge into the place." Shikamaru spoke. "Their world has changed. We have to first learn about the place and then attend the school. We have to fit in."
"Jugo." Sasuke called lightly.
"Yes Sasuke sama." Jugo went to the bar compartment in the lounge and took a bunch of paperwork from the counter and gave them to the lycans. "I have registered you into the school, prepared your students' schedule, the necessary lists regarding school work."
Sasuke placed his papers on the table and reached for one of the glasses, filled with expensive wine, on it.
Jugo swallowed. "Do you not like it Sasuke sama?"
"By the years of this strange, crazy world, I am twenty five." He answered, not looking up, the glass brim placed before his lips.
"Ah yes, I'll change it right away." Jugo said as he reached for the papers on the table and turned to the others.
Naruto beamed. "Mine's okay. It says I'm twenty four years old here."
Shikamaru waved a dismissive hand. "I'm whatever twenty something years old you put here."
He didn't read it. Jugo observed.
Dracula's son. Sasuke rubbed his temples.
