Chapter 4: To me your perfect
In the land of the dead everything was quiet and peaceful only the sounds of machinery were filling the silence. Meanwhile, Miguel was writing and discussing in his head how some of the lyrics were gonna play out in his head, but as soon as he caught a glance at his beautiful wife he stopped and sighed watching her work was one of the greatest joys in life.
Mirabel was quietly drawing and sketching some new pieces that she was planning to make soon, Imelda quietly watched smiling as she worked. Mirabel looked up from her sketchbook and smiled at her husband.
He smiled back, it was moments like these he treasured and adored somehow when she managed to smile that beautiful smile he went weak and that's how he knew he was the luckiest man in the world with words unspoken.
The secret looks the two shared were something very special and he never wanted to change anything about it.
'Mi Amor you're beautiful and perfect to me, I don't care what others say to fall in love with you is one of the greatest things in life'.
Héctor smiled at the glances the two shared as it reminded him of Imelda and the glances they shared something special and never to be denied, Coco knew that from the moment they met each other, they were and are soulmates; She was proud to call Mirabel her granddaughter and she adored her.
Rosita when she caught a glimpse of the two thought it was so perfect and precious she was always a romantic at heart, like one of her novels came to life when she met Mira for the first time she knew she was the one for her cheeky nephew she always put others first and just like herself she was bubbly, kind and caring.
"What?" Mirabel whispered to her husband
He quickly turned away back to whatever he was doing and she sighed at his antics and went back to sketching.
Héctor chuckled as he bit his words back and smiled, He Then signalled to Imelda as he pointed to Miguel and circled the side of his skull to signal that he was 'un poco loco' for his love and Imelda smirked and bit back a laugh.
Mirabel decided that she needed a break so she closed her sketchbook and went to go grab some lemonade. She smiled as she reached the kitchen and took her glass and one for Miguel considering how parched he must be. She then walked over to where he sat next to Héctor and put the glass down on the table then went around to the other side and kissed him with a quick peck on the lips and smiled.
He on the other hand looked up and smiled at his wife his eyes said it all in thanks knowing he loved her more than life itself as she walked back to her seat she smiled and winked at her grandfather he chuckled softly under his breath.
As she sat back down and sipped her lemonade as she read her copy of 'Monstruo de Amor'
As she sat reading she hadn't noticed that her darling husband was looking up from his writing as he stopped to admire his beautiful wife and then drawing his eyes back to his writing as he sat with a smile on his face.
"You know you keep pulling that move Mijo she's going to notice". Héctor whispered to him
"Sometimes subtly is key, it's the essence that counts". He replied back
"Where did you learn that?" He quipped
"Who do you think?" He retorted
"Certainly not me". Héctor sighed
Miguel then closed the book and silently sat near his wife slowly shuffling next to her, As Héctor watched this he thought he was more like him than he thought.
Victoria smiled from behind her book knowing this was something her nephew was going keep to playing until she would say something.
"I know you're doing it". She said not looking up from back
"What, Mi Amor I'm not sure what you're talking about". He acts stupid trying to defer the situation
"Playing the husband card is not you're best forte, you act like you're so lucky but sometimes I wonder if you just want to work on your subtlety because I can tell you right now my love it's not working". She sighed
Oscar and Felipe burst out laughing at the comment and pretty soon the whole family burst out laughing, Miguel chuckled taken aback but smiled softly.
"She's got you in a tight hold Mijo ". Imelda smirked
Mirabel winked and then took another sip of lemonade and sighed then closed her book knowing that she had made think.
Héctor smiled at the two.
"You know if you wanted my love you don't have to ask Mi Vida ". She chuckled
"Making it difficult for yourself aren't you Mi Corazon ". She adds
She walked away to put the glasses in the kitchen smiling as she went to go wash them.
"She can read you like a book". Felipe finished
"Better than we ever do". Julio said
"Alright, alright I get it". He rolled his eyes
He went to the kitchen smiling softly chuckling.
"They're going to be the death of each other aren't they?" Victoria asked
"No doubt about Mija". Julio smiled
Miguel walked into the kitchen smiling when he saw his wife as she was humming a tune while she washed.
"You're perfect ". Miguel smiled softly interrupting
"I would count yourself lucky because when the time comes you're going to wish otherwise ". She chuckled
He came up from behind and hugged her squeezing her tight chuckling.
"Never, Mi Diosa ". He smiled
She coxed her head curious to see what he meant by that. He kissed her neck softly and she blushed turning Scarlet red He knew what he was doing.
"You're perfect to me always". He mumbled
She chuckled enjoying the touch that he gave knowing he would never choose another and that he was happy.
They could not be more perfect for each other …
