To Be Loved Chapter 7 - Unforgettable
One of the great joys of being married was to see your best friend and love her every day, Miguel loved watching his wife work and it was amazing to watch her create things just from nothing. He still can hardly understand how she could do that it still amazes him.
He shook his head and sighed eyeing her working and her smile made his heart beat faster she had somehow turned him into mush and to be honest he wouldn't have it any other way.
"You're eyeing me again". Mirabel said as she continued sewing pushing the fabric in and out the other side
"Was I?" He joked
"Ay, you never will Stop will you". She sighed
"Don't count on it Diosa ". Miguel winked
Mirabel smiled knowing that her husband and his tricks would always stay the same and she loved him for it.
'Unforgettable in every way and forever more that's how you'll stay
That's why darling, it's incredible that someone so Unforgettable thinks that I am Unforgettable too'
He hummed and somehow Mira laughed no matter what Miguel did it would always manage to make her laugh and smile. Sometimes she thought that would make these jokes just to hear her laugh like it was the most precious thing ever.
"Stop it, I'm trying to work". She smiled
"It's working their way isn't it?" He joined her from behind the desk
"You idiot ". She smiled
Miguel then showed his wedding ring to her and she smiled at him laughing.
"Your idiot forever". He stated
Mirabel put down the sewing and smiled she needed a break. He chuckled softly smiling as she took his hands that usually meant she wanted a break and she was happy to oblige.
"Dance with me?" She asked
Miguel smiled and gently took her by the waist and smiled.
"Always ". He answers
So with that, they swayed to the music smiling spinning in and out this was something to enjoy.
She smiled leaning softly into his touch knowing that she would always love him and keep him safe and the same with him.
"Do you think you'll ever get tired of this?" She asked him
"No, absolutely not". He shook his head
"Why?" She coaxed
"What do you mean why, it's you I have never and will never get tired of you ever". He sighed
"My Mira, My love". He adds sighing
Their whole worlds seemed to stop as they kissed to be close to each other and to love like this was special. Miguel smiled craving for Mira every day and Mirabel felt safe in his arms and smiled every time he made her laugh, kissing him was soft and tender loving every moment.
"Are you sure?" She questioned
Miguel looked wide-eyed at his wife he couldn't believe what she was saying, but understood where it was coming from she was so used to people leaving her that every time he was reminded of it his heart broke.
"Put your arms around me ". He sighed
Mirabel coaxed her head but put her arms around him nonetheless very confused at what he was doing.
Miguel smiled as he lifted her in his arms and she was shook.
"Look at me?" He asked
She sighed and looked at him as he walked over to the couch they both slowly sat down, Miguel still having a hold on his wife. She smiled still keeping her eyes on her husband.
"Don't you ever question me leaving you, that's never going to happen even in the afterlife okay?" He nodded so she understood
"But-" She stopped
"No, none of that Mira por favor, I will never leave you I love you too much to let you go you've stolen my heart ". Miguel replied honestly
Mirabel sighed and looked like she was about to cry so Miguel hugged her tightly as she cried her heart out and it broke his heart.
"Te Amo Musico ". She sighed mumbling
He held her tightly wrapped his arms around her and cradled her.
"I wish I could take away the pain and yell at them for you ". Miguel smiled
"You wouldn't". She laughed
"Oh I would". He replied
"I don't deserve you". Mirabel turned her head away
Miguel looked broken-hearted that his love, his best friend and soulmate would think like that and it made him realise just how far she will go to protect him her hurt.
"Hey, I'm the one that should be saying that, I'm very lucky that you came here". Miguel smiled
"Miguel-" She coaxed
"I love you Mirabel , more than you'll ever know I promise". He chuckled
"I know". She smiled
"And I know it's hard to Believe right now but I do, you are my one and only I'm at your mercy. Screw your family they broke your heart but-" He started
"You fixed it and made it me smile again ". She smiled as she kisses him
Miguel gives her Eskimo kisses and she laughs he chuckled smiling. She sighed leaning into his touch while looking at her wedding ring Miguel smiled and kissed her curls tucking one behind her ear and she blushed.
"Never forget how much I love you". She sighed
"I know". She smiled
Resting her eyes she sighed enjoying Miguel as her safe haven and knows that he will keep her safe.
"If I do leave-" He said
"You'll always come back to me". She breathed
Miguel smiled enjoying this time his wife, work could wait time was on their side and they didn't waste a second.
"Do you think I were to meet your family who would be the first one to get some sense knocked into them?" Miguel asked
"What kind of question is that?" She chuckled and looked up at him
"Just curious ". He shrugged
"Definitely Alma". She answers
Miguel chuckled and laughed, he knew his darling wife was right Alma would be the first person to get some sense knocked into them especially for breaking his poor wife's heart.
"That checks out". He smiled
She laughed and smiled softly.
This moment and every other moment with each other was truly amazing and unforgettable…
