Glass descended from the interdimensional crack, her goal set in mind, kill the four Cardinal heroes so her world can have their waves of calamity end sooner
She hovered down looking for where the heroes would be, they should be fighting the Boss of this wave, she tried to feel the spiritual presence of the strongest beings here, feeling quite the spirit coming from north, its pressure clearly was that of the four heroes and the boss, perhaps a bit from their subordinates as it was quite a lot. But Glass was confident in her training, skills and mostly important her high level of 100
She flew there following the presence, once she got close enough she stopped high in the air to survey the scene only to be bewildered at what she saw
A haunting ship was on the ground in pieces, surrounding it was the corpses of various monsters of the waves, about two hundred goblins and fifty lizard men, a large Kraken that seemed to use the ghost ship as a shell, a large undead pirate with a sword the size of glass entire body, and two Soul eaters, one the size of a carriage and the other twice as large
The only one standing was an extremely tall, large and muscular man standing in no less than nearly three times Glass height. He had short spiky pinkish crimson hair and two symmetric scars on both sides of his face. He has long legs with his thighs being equally as long as his lower limbs
Having sharp and intense crimson eyes, highly arched eyebrows and prominent lower eyelashes under each eye. He wears a massive light feather ragged scarf that covers his mouth and reaches his shoulders. He also wears a torn leather vest with "CHARLOTTE" on the back that exposes most of his torso, dark gloves and pants, a belt with a skull-shaped buckle and spiked boots with spurs. His torso is very defined, having prominent abdominal muscles covered in pink tattoos and he wears spiked bracelets on his arms as well as knee pads with a single spike on them
He had a pink trident, with its three prongs tightly together. The middle prong is a full spear-shape, while the two on the sides are half-blades, a pink gem in the middle, Glass could feel it in her bones, this was a legendary hero, Kyo's research said this world had a legendary hero of spears and tridents so he must be him
But that was insane, what Glass thought was the presences of four heroes and one boss of Calamity was simply one singular person, and by the gruesome scene in front of her, he had single handly beaten the wave, how strong was this guy? She wondered if she could still take him-
"I see you, run away now. You aren't a match to me" the man with pinkish crimson hair said as he stared at her, his gaze almost giving her a heart attack from how intense it was "I can tell you're stronger than the Boss, but not by much. If you value your life, flee before I change my mind"
"... I can't, I have a mission. I won't back down without at least trying" Glass said as she knew it was better to run away, but that would betray her ideals and expectations that her friends had of her, how could she be enough for the sake of her world if she ran away at a opponent that seemed like a equal or superior to her, she couldn't get simply used to fighting those weaker than her otherwise she couldn't call herself a hero, she couldn't back down
"Another for the slaughter then" he said as he sighed, annoyed for having to fight another pointless opponent
"My name is Glass, may I know your name before we fight?" She asked as she would rather know who she was dealing with, to know the name of such a powerful opponent
"If that's your final wish... it's Charlotte Katakuri, sweet commander of the Big mom pirates" the man introduced himself, Glass was confused at not only the fact he was a pirate but also who the hell names a tribulation after a mother-
Glass barely dodges a spear being thrown at her head, having part of her dark hair cut from the attack, she looks and the spear wielder is gone but she feels his presence, right behind her...
She is hit in the face with a kick from his long legs that sends her flying a couple of feet before rolling on the ground. She got up and coughed in her palm, only to see a lot of blood on it
"What?" She was mortified, she counted for her ability to only be hurt by attacks that directly targeted a soul as a win condition, she realizes how foolish she was, if the spear hero had defeated two soul eaters then it meant he could hit spirits, but he did that with a physical blow and not a skill "How?..."
She doesn't have time to think as she sees the ground beneath her change into something else, she flies up only for tentacles to emerge from it as she uses her fans to slice them, all the while trying to feel the spear wielder's presence in case he tried to attack, the weird thing was that she was feeling it coming from... Every where? She saw the terrain was changing into more of the strange material that smelled like... dough?
More tentacles kept going to try and restrain her as their tips became a dark metallic black color, Glass didn't know what that was but it was dangerous. She did her best until she once again felt the strong presence of the spear hero from above her, as she saw him descending with his spear ready to impale her
She threw a skill at him only for it to go right through his body as he changed into dough, Glass shock was only amplified when the trident impaled her, as she and spear hero fell to the ground with glass taking most of the impact
"Pathetic" Katakuri said as he pulled off his trident from her body and lifted his feet as he coated it in armament Haki, intended on stomping her head
But before he could, a large white ship appeared from the crack of the wave and beamed a blue light on him, he didn't react to it as his future vision showed that the beam was harmless, he saw as Glass seemingly evaporated into light that was pulled upwards towards the ship, once the ship had gotten her, it disappeared into the crack
Katakuri just looked at the sky as it returned to its normal blue color, he walked towards his defeated foes to absorb their bodies before those pitiful losers he was summoned along got here and tried to leach off from his success
