A village was under attack by the wave, as the people ran away screaming from the monsters, a kid in particular was running from an axe wielding zombie before he tripped and fell, turning around to see the undead creature lift it's axe to smith him down
"N-no, help!" The kid screamed as he closed his eyes and lifted his arms to protect himself as the monster started to swing down his weapon
"Rider kick!" A voice screamed out as a man clad in an outfit similar to a grass hopper landed an aerial kick on the zombie's head, launching the creature away as he landed to look on to the kid. This was the hero of justice, Kamen rider Ichigo
"Are you okay?" He asked the kid who just nodded as a yes "Good, go to the mines, that's where the villagers are hiding"
"Ok, thanks mister" the kid said as he ran off, Ichigo turned to see more monsters coming, he picked from his back the legendary bow and changed it into a crossbow form as he began firing at them, but the zombies kept on coming as they began to simply push through his shots in waves
"Damnit" he said as he placed the crossbow to his waist and lifted his fists while taking a battle stance. But a blue energy attack from above blew away the zombie horde as a figure landed in front of Ichigo
He was alien in appearance, having metallic grey skin and strange red, blue and black lines across his body that seemed reminiscent of tribal markings, his head was shaped like a helmet and the mouth on it didn't seem capable of opening, he had large white eyes that glowed and crystals in his head particularly on his left side, his whole appearance invoke a air of wildness. This was Gento Hiruma, also known as Ultraman blazar
He growled at the zombies as he unleashed a wave of energy slashes from the legendary sword, frantic movements as he kept this barrage of attacks going until the zombie horde was nothing but pieces of bloody green meat on the floor
"Good job Gento, but maybe try to tone it down?" Ichigo said as he gave Blazar a tap in the back, the wild Ultra responded by giving him a snarl and a movement of the head, Ichigo didn't know how to feel about Blazar's attitude when he was transformed, he was intelligent and capable to be worked with but he preferred to act animal like when in a fight. They heard heavy footsteps as they see a zombie, much bigger than the previous ones with a weapon just as large coming at them grunting
"Great, bigger ones" Ichigo said as he sighed and took a stance together with Blazar, that roared at it for intimidation
"[Exploding rainbow train beam]!" A voice called as a train horn was heard, as a glowing rainbow beam hit the large zombie, blowing a hole right through him, Blazar and Kamen rider turned backwards to see an figure dressed in a red body suit with train tracks decorating his uniform, he had a dark visor and a number 1 stamped on his uniform as he carried the legendary spear. He was the red ToQger of the Ressha Sentai ToQgers, Right Suzuki. Along with him were also Naofumi Itawani the shield hero and his demi-human companion Raphtalia
"Suzuki, Naofumi, Raphtalia. If you three are here does that mean evacuations are done?" Ichigo asked as the three were assigned rescue duty while he and blazar took the offensive against the wave, Suzuki nodded
"You got it! We saved as much as we could, now we can help finish this!" The red ranger said as he did a fist pump with his senior hero as the Kamen rider felt that it wasn't inadequate but he couldn't leave the enthusiastic red hanged off on "Did the boss show up already?"
"Not yet, we have to keep going and fight!" Ichigo said as he hoped the monster would appear soon, especially since this has been going for too long. They heard buzzing and growling as they saw Blazar fighting against giant bees and Mantis
"Oh big bugs too? I thought this was an undead themed invasion" Suzuki commented as he had only encountered the zombies so far, he wondered if this new enemies showing up was a sign the boss was drawing closer
"There are so many of them and we have been going at it for half a hour now" Raphtalia said with worry as the stamina of the five couldn't last for more, Blazar had already timed out a few minutes prior before he got a second wind to keep going
"I could do with a change in tactics, the nature of my weapon is affecting my combat prowess" Ichigo said as he was bothered by the bow's limitation, while not as severe as Naofumi's one attack limit, the bow distinguishes the strength between physical attacks from long range ones, and by its nature it favorite the latter, meaning that Ichigo had an attack stat for his arrow shots that was his strongest and one for his attacks done by punching and kicking that was his weakest , with his main abilities and fighting skills falling to the that side, it was clear why that was a bother to him
"Yeah, I get that" Suzuki said as although he was good with a spear, he was not the best. The strength of a ToQger was in his teamwork and imagination, and unfortunately only Raphtalia had any type of inner child with boundless imagination, Ichigo's soul was too old and altered by experience to be mailable like a young soul, Blazar practically didn't think when fighting and Suzuki could feel that Naofumi had either killed or locked away his inner child, so although he could make due it still left him out of his element
Blazar just growled and shrugged his shoulders, the sword wasn't a problem for him so he was neutral to their complaints
"Tsk, try using a shield, you colorful bunch" Naofumi said in annoyance, they complained when he had the worst weapon made him mad, those three not only had super powers but could hurt others, the things Naofumi would give to be able to inflict pain against his opponents
"Oh! I have an idea! Everyone get close to me!" Suzuki shouted as he motioned everyone to get close to him, Ichigo and Blazar looked at each other before approaching the red ToQger to see what his idea was
"Naofumi, Raphtalia, come aboard!" Suzuki called out for the two to join in, Raphtalia took a step to get close but Naofumi stopped her with his hand
"No thanks, I already had enough with your crazy antics, whatever idea you have we want nothing from it" Naofumi proclaimed as he didn't like Suzuki due to his child like mannerisms and attitude, not helping being the envy he felt at the fact that the red ToQger had actual super powers, something he attributed to the weapon he wielded, plus he was a bad influence for Raphtalia considering how he brought out the child side of her out, so he was going to skip on whatever that red clad man child had in mind
"Ah... Okay then" he said as he pulled out a Ressha of primarily white color with gold and black details that had a faint rainbow glow going through it, a item he obtained after his legendary weapon interacted with his ToQ charger, he inserted into his device after pressing the middle white button, making the ToQ Changer speak a long phrase
"Now untransforming! All people, please quickly complete your transfers!"
He then slapped the handle back down, triggering the Transfer Change. The ToQ Changer then announces
"ToQ One-gou Red, authorized group Transference of stations!" As that was said, a train horn was heard as the three heroes inside the circle glowed as their weapons became small trains that ran on glowing rails to another hero, moving in circles before seemingly crashing into them, the light faded as now, ToQ One-gou Red was green and wielded Ichigo's bow, Blazar was now primarily red and had Suzuki's spear and Ichigo was now blue and had Blazar's sword
"Heh?" Everyone there except for Suzuki was confused and surprised by what happened
"There! Now your melee hits will be stronger Ichigo! The spear shouldn't hinder your caveman fighting style Blazar, and I can give support from long range!"
"Hero team... Exiting the station at full charge!" Suzuki shouted as he pointed ahead before running in that direction, Ichigo and Blazar soon followed, Naofumi was just standing there jaw dropped
"They... They changed weapons... I could have... Attack, I could have been able to..." The shield hero fell to his knees as he realized he might have just lost the opportunity of a lifetime, the opportunity to get rid of the shield that has been a burden for him since day one and exchange that for a real weapon
"There, there Naofumi-sama" Raphtalia said while comforting him with light pats on the head
Swapping weapons seemed like a good call, as Ichigo was able to slice and dice through the monsters much more easily, the sword encouraged Ichigo's fighting style, as it focused on speed and attack power, making for the masked rider to move like the wind and kill as effectively as possible
Blazar wasn't rendered by the spear, his wild and primitive style of combat made the spear perhaps more deadly as he combined energy attacks with fierce pokes and spear skills with Ultra power
Suzuki provided cover for both of them as he used the bow in its regular form for powerful arrow shots and swapped for the crossbow form for quick rapid fire, doing acrobatic jumps to get atop the roof of the house for high ground advantage
That's when they heard thundering steps and a loud collection of sounds, like a lion's roar, a goat's scream and a snake's hissing. An enormous monster emerged from the forest, a chimera composed of an lion, goat, snake and dragon. A notification popping up in their status magic informing them that was the boss
"Get ready everyone!" Ichigo said as all of them prepared to take the mighty monster head on with their combined might

Did this solely because of the idea of the ToQgers gimmick of swapping colors and weapons working in the shield hero setting,I still don't know a lot about Tokusatsu characters so asked for my brother for a Ultraman, a Kamen Rider and a Power Ranger. These were the three he gave me and explained about the characters, so if you liked this story you have him to thank
