Season 4- Episode 2- Making Plans

It's been two days. Two days since Karai was dragged off by Tiger Claw. No one in the family knows what became of her fate, which was the reason as to why they were all on edge. Even Raph was slightly worried. They already made assumptions that Karai was punished, and that she's probably in trouble. Leo had repeated again and again since she was taken that they were going to help her, and wait for the right time to do it (although he didn't really want to wait).

The four brothers sat together in Leo's room on the floor with a bunch of papers and Donnie's computer, trying to figure out a plan with worried expressions.

"Leo, it's been two days. Are you sure that she needs our help anymore?" Raph said, as usual, trying to hide his emotions of anxiety. He didn't like Karai, but if she indeed was in trouble, then even he had a hard time ignoring it.

Leo took a deep breath, trying to compose himself. "I don't know, but we should find out anyway. I don't want her to be in trouble because of us." He sighed with a guilty frown, only to feel more guilt when he could feel Donnie stop typing his computer's keyboard with a flinch.

"Sorry, Don. I didn't mean it like that-"

"It's fine, Leo. I need to learn how to live with it." Donnie mumbled sadly.

An uncomfortable silence lingered in the room.

"Well-" Mikey, as usual, trying to lighten up the situation. "Let's just help her, guys. She deserves it." He looked at Raph hopefully, obviously expecting him to object.

"Stop with the puppy eyes- will you?! I said that I'll help already." Raph rolled his eyes with fake frustration, trying to hide the fact that Mikey almost got him with the pitiful expression.

"Well, we need to come up with a plan. I mean, breaking into their HQ is going to be dangerous, especially since it's just the three of us-" Leo explained to his team, until he was cut off by Donnie closing his computer harshly.

"What? You're leaving me here again?!" He yelped in frustration.

His three brothers looked at him awkwardly.

"Donnie. It's the Shredder's HQ. Why would we bring you there, right when you're supposed to stay away from the Shredder?" Raph frowned with frustration, expecting Donnie to see the obvious.

"Raph's right, Donnie." Leo sighed sadly as he looked at Donnie with a frown.

"Leo. I've been stuck here for such a long time! How would any of you feel in my situation? Not only stuck here, but unable to help you?" Donnie begged them to understand, although he knew the outcome.

"D. We all understand. Believe us. But there's no choice. Please stay here. For me?" Mikey grabbed his shoulder as he stared into his eyes with a plea written over his face.

Donnie looked over all of them, unsure, as Leo and Raph nodded at him to drive him to accept Mikey's request.

"Besides, someone needs to stay here and hold off Sensei. We ARE going behind his back, after all." Leo winked with a smirk.

The other three brothers looked at him in surprise, not expecting it out of the most obedient son.

"Wait- it's behind his back?" Raph whispered with wide eyes.

"Yep. He wouldn't allow us to go otherwise." Leo whispered back with a smirk, as the rest of the brothers could feel a smile stretch on their face.

"Wait- I need to hold him off? You gave me the worst job." Donnie huffed with a pout.

"Well- you wanted to help, bro." Mikey shrugged as Donnie mumbled "I take it back".

"Okay- so listen up guys. Donnie will stay and hold off Sensei in case he gets suspicious as to why we are not home. The three of us will take the vehicle and arrive near the Foot's HQ. What's next? Any ideas?" Leo questioned as he scratched his chin in thought.

"Let's just sneak in from the roof and slowly go down. Bring a bunch of smoke bombs for distraction." Raph filled in as Leo nodded. "Alright. We need to search every floor and stay together. Donnie, have your T-phone on you at all times in case we have an emergency." Donnie nodded in confirmation, feeling his stomach churn for a moment in anxiety.

"If someone sees us, take him out before he calls for backup." Leo ordered with a frown, as the rest nodded at him.

"Do you think Karai is locked up?" Mikey asked in worry.

The other three brothers frowned at the possibility.

"Most likely." Leo sighed sadly.

"His own daughter…" Raph said in disgust.

"Bro, it's the Shredder." Mikey responded as he shrugged his shoulders.

"That's why I was so depressed in the first place." Donnie rolled his eyes as he opened his computer and started typing again.

"Yeesh. Understandable, bro." Mikey rubbed his shell as he shook his head with sympathy. Leo and Raph, still not used to Donnie's background, flinched slightly in surprise. But since Donnie's way of handling such things sometimes is to make them feel unimportant, they made themselves ignore his remarks rather than complain on how he talks as if this reality changes who he is.

"Are you sure that it's a good idea to hide it from Sensei? Mikey had just healed. Casey, too. Maybe you should all take your time and make April and Casey come with you." Donnie said in thought with a frown.

"Well- Sensei already knows we are planning to go. That's why he told us that it's too dangerous in the first place. He expects us to do it anyway. He just doesn't know when and how. Also, we shouldn't drag April and Casey into this." Raph said as he took his sais out and twisted them in his hands to occupy himself.

"Sensei confronted us on this just today. There's no way that he doesn't know." Donnie huffed.

"Which is why you'll hold him off." Leo said, his smirk returning, as Raph started to smirk as well. "Oh no. A long day is ahead of me." Donnie sighed in tiredness.

"Okay, we will plan the rest on the way there. Let's go." Leo got up in a hurry.

"What?! NOW?!" Donnie yelped in surprise as they all got up from the floor. "Woohoo! Finally!" Mikey smiled with energy, as he followed Leo and Raph out of the door. "And keep it a secret, Donnie!" Leo exclaimed in a whisper on his way out of the room.

"You've got to be kidding me." Donnie murmured in frustration.

"And D!" Mikey exclaimed in a hurry as he ran back into the room.

"Yeah?" He asked in surprise.

"We love you!" He said with a smile as he hugged him quickly and ran out again.

"…" Donnie stood quietly and alone in the room, trying to fight the blush and the smile that threatened to appear on his face.

"Cool."
