Tifa Lockhart

Backstory:

Born in the town of Nibelheim, Tifa was a childhood acquaintance of Cloud Strife but lost contact with him when he left to join the Shinra Electric Power Company's elite military, SOLDIER. Tifa stayed in Nibelheim and grew to become a martial artist and local guide. One fateful day, the Shinra Company sent a team, consisting of first-class SOLDIER members Sephiroth and Zack Fair, to investigate one of their reactors near the town. During the mission something happened, as Sephiroth snapped and burned Nibelheim to the ground, with Tifa's survival being nothing short of a miracle.

Years later, Tifa moved to Midgar, the city where Shinra's Headquarters were located, and joined AVALANCHE, an anti-Shinra extremist group led by Barret Wallace. During that time, she would meet again Cloud, who successfully became a First Class SOLDIER, but had abandoned the company and was currently working as a mercenary. However, Cloud's recount of events seemed erroneous, and he insisted to have been in Nibelheim during the incident years ago. Concerned, Tifa invited him to join AVALANCHE under the pretense of being another job, but in reality, wanting to learn what had happened to Cloud the day he left, and keep an eye on him, to also learn what happened in Nibelheim when she should have been dead like everyone else.

Song: Astral Limits

Tifa Lockhart strolled out of the Seven Heaven bar, her serene expression betraying her deep sense of contentment with her life. Heading towards the store to gather groceries for her adoptive family of Denzel and Marlene, and her life partner, Cloud Strife, she reflected on the simple pleasures of her settled existence as she juggled her responsibilities as both an adoptive mother and proprietor of the bar.

Tifa's ears caught the sound of disturbance emanating from a nearby alley, the unmistakable sound of a confrontation and someone possibly being harmed. Although she no longer embraced the role of a hero actively seeking perilous situations, she couldn't ignore the signs of danger if it meant someone was in need. With caution guiding her steps, she ventured into the alley, ready to lend a helping hand.

Tifa cautiously peered around the corner, beholding the scene unfolding before her. There, a woman with an unfamiliar face was harshly questioning a Beastkin for information about an unknown "Koronoe," using aggressive tactics in the process. Tifa, though unaware of Bullet's identity as a mercenary from Sector 7, could discern that the Beastkin was innocent and ignorant of the person being sought.

Tifa, driven by the need to defend the innocent, took swift action. With lightning-fast agility, she twisted her body, preparing for a powerful punch. The air became condensed as she unleashed a thunderous shockwave that surged through the alley, emanating from her precise strike. Bullet, caught off guard, swiftly jumped back, narrowly evading the wide-reaching attack.

Tifa swiftly turned to the Beastkin, her voice firm and reassuring.

"Flee quickly, now. There's no need for you to stay here any longer."

In a gentle yet urgent tone, she directed the Beastkin to escape from the scene, while her gaze locked onto Bullet, assessing her with a mix of wariness and determination. The Beastkin thanked her, before escaping. Bullet, clearly irritated by the turn of events, scoffed in frustration. Her voice carried a hint of annoyance as she retorted while cracking her knuckles,

"You let them get away. I had no intention of killing them; just needed to rough them up a bit to get some info."

Tifa's gaze remained steadfast, her expression a mix of wariness and concern.

"That may be the case, but there are better ways to obtain information. Violence isn't always the answer."

Bullet, her frustration simmering, assumed an aggressive grappler stance, her muscles coiled with readiness. Her voice carried a defiant tone as she spoke,

"Perhaps. But it's my easiest option. Maybe I should show you."

Tifa, recognizing the imminent conflict, took a defensive stance, her eyes locked with Bullet's unwavering gaze. She took a deep breath, readying herself for the inevitable clash. The tension between them had reached a crescendo, a silent understanding passing between them that the only way this situation could end would be through a fight.

Bullet charged toward Tifa, initiating the confrontation with a bold grappling attempt. The AVALANCHE member swiftly evaded the attack by jumping over Bullet, smoothly landing on her feet. With calculated precision, she countered with a swift punch. However, Bullet swiftly reacted, halting her charge and pivoting to launch a punch of her own. In an explosive clash, their colliding punches produced a shock-wave, emanating outward and causing the alley to shudder, while a minor tremor rippled through the earth surrounding them.

Tifa, seizing the momentary pause, took the initiative, launching a swift assault. With lightning-fast strikes, she targeted Bullet's vulnerable spots, delivering a rapid flurry of punches and kicks aimed at her midsection since Bullet kept her gloves up to avoid any head shots. However, Bullet, displaying her combative prowess, deftly seized Tifa, executing a textbook German Suplex that slammed the AVALANCHE member onto the ground with a resounding thud.

Bullet, swiftly rising from the ground, seized Tifa by the throat, unleashing a relentless barrage of explosive punches to the face infused with fiery energy. Each merciless blow delivered a shockwave of pain, adding to the intensity of the assault. Yet the AVALANCHE member, unyielding in her determination, managed to grasp Bullet's hand, exerting an unyielding grip that forced her to release her grasp. As Tifa gained her footing, she swung her foot in a forceful kick, propelling Bullet backward with a powerful sweep.

Tifa swiped at her bleeding nose, feeling the subtle throb of the impact. Her senses heightened, Tifa recognized the undeniable strength of her opponent. This realization fueled her resolve, knowing that brute force alone might not suffice. Instead, she resolved to rely on her skill and technique, employing a more technical approach to overcome the formidable force that Bullet possessed.

Tifa approached with a feint, initially aiming for a low sweep, before swiftly transitioning to a straight punch. Anticipating the sweep, Bullet crouched to defend but was caught off guard by the unexpected change of trajectory. Her arms hurriedly rose to block the incoming punch, yet the force behind it was palpable.

Though Tifa's punch failed to break through Bullet's guard, the sheer momentum of the strike propelled Bullet backward, her legs sliding along the ground and leaving trails in their wake. With the attack's force gradually waning, Bullet lowered her arms to find a distinct impression of the punch etched onto the metal surface of her gauntlet.

Tifa persisted in her onslaught, charging aggressively with a flying kick that sent Bullet soaring into the streets. Without missing a beat, Tifa followed suit, ripping a boulder from the sidewalk and hurling it toward the mercenary. Undeterred, Bullet rose from the impact and unleashed a powerful punch, effortlessly shattering the boulder into countless fragments.

Bullet swiftly dusted off the debris, preparing for another intense assault. In a swift move, she charged at the AVALANCHE member with remarkable speed, unleashing a fierce flurry of punches that tested Tifa's agility. Deftly weaving from side to side, Tifa expertly dodged the incoming blows, her reflexes on full display. In a countermove, Tifa launched a sharp right hook, only to find Bullet swiftly sidestepping the attack.

Tifa's attempted a spinning kick, driven by the momentum she had built, but it was thwarted as Bullet grasped her calf, halting her advance. With a quick twist, Bullet flung Tifa overhead, slamming her down to the ground with a resounding thud. Straddling the AVALANCHE member, Bullet continued her relentless attack, pounding her mercilessly into the ground with a forceful barrage of powerful punches.

Tifa, seizing the opportunity, forcefully struck Bullet away, sending her crashing into a nearby building. The mercenary swiftly emerged from the wreckage, searching for her elusive adversary, but Tifa had swiftly repositioned herself, ambushing Bullet with a strategically wielded lamp pole as a makeshift bat. The impact sent Bullet flying backward, crashing into a parked car with a pained grunt.

Tifa held the pillar aloft, a confident smirk gracing her lips. With the weight resting effortlessly on her shoulder like a bat, she taunted,

"You crave more of this? I've got plenty of strength left in the tank if you're game for another round."

Despite the bruises and wounds that marred her body, her voice carried a firm resolve, her determination undeterred. Bullet, rising from the wreckage, stood upright, a steely determination glinting in her eyes. Brushing off any lingering pain, she rolled her neck, cracking the vertebrae, and declared,

"Bring it on. I can go all day against someone like you."

With a powerful grip, Bullet ripped out her own lamp pole from the street, setting the stage for another intense clash. As the two women wielded their makeshift weapons like elongated swords, the resounding clangs of metal reverberated through the narrow alley, echoing with the intensity of their determined duel.

As the lamp poles splintered from the relentless exchange, Bullet seized the moment, plunging into Tifa and tackling her to the ground, both figures tumbling across the battlefield. Swiftly, Bullet attempted to launch a punishing series of strikes, but Tifa swiftly blocked her advance with a calculated counterpunch, sending Bullet flying backward.

Bullet, seizing the opportunity, punched the ground with explosive force, unleashing a fiery energy wave towards Tifa, but the AVALANCHE member swiftly responded, punching the ground with equal force, disrupting Bullet's attack and negating the impending blaze. The impact echoed through the air, their skills and powers matched in this epic display of strength and strategy.

Tifa and Bullet, propelled by their leaping momentum, collided in mid-air, their fists locked in battle before landing on the ground. Tifa initiated the barrage with a series of quick punches, unleashing her speed and agility. Bullet, displaying her martial prowess, countered with a calculated back kick, a crouching punch, and a low sweeping attack, attempting to trip her adversary. Though her efforts fell short of tripping Tifa, their clash showcased the intensity of their struggle.

As Bullet launched an overhead elbow strike, aiming to strike Tifa directly, she swiftly sidestepped, evading the blow. In retaliation, Tifa sought to execute a jump kick, catching Bullet off guard. But the mercenary, in another impressive move, countered with a standing split kick, their feet clashing in the process. The intricate dance of their martial styles unfolded, each maneuver meticulously executed in this captivating display of combat skill.

Bullet, swift in her reflexes, intercepted Tifa before she could land on the ground, delivering a powerful knee to her midsection. With an expert follow-up move, Bullet swiftly kicked Tifa, propelling her through a nearby storefront window. Tifa emerged from the storefront, adorning her beloved gloves: the Premium Heart. With a determined gaze, she assumed an offensive stance, the blue crystal gauntlets gleaming. She declared,

"Prepare yourself. I'm going to blow you out of the water!"

As Bullet unleashed her Overdrive, her body surged with heat, and her gauntlets glowed a fiery red, radiating intense energy. With a powerful flex and a shout, she yelled, "Time to beat the heat!"

Bullet, surging forward with blazing speed, grabbed Tifa's face, slamming the back of her head onto the ground with a thunderous impact. Continuing her assault, Bullet sprinted with unparalleled speed, generating such intense friction that she ignited a line of fire beneath Tifa, propelling her further away with explosive force from her fiery gauntlets. The impact sent Tifa hurtling through the air with a painful cry.

In a swift display of agility, Tifa spun mid-air, executing a three-point landing against a wall with such force that it shattered the surface. She then propelled herself at Bullet with a swift flying haymaker. However, Bullet adeptly countered Tifa's attack, delivering a spin kick with incredible force, generating a shockwave that halted Tifa's progress. The power of the clash echoed through the air, showcasing their extraordinary abilities.

Bullet, in a relentless display of strength, grabbed Tifa, launching her upward with a forceful kick. Without missing a beat, she seized the AVALANCHE member once more as she was near the peak of her flight and slammed her into the ground with remarkable force, finally hurling her backward.

Tifa, refusing to be outdone, swiftly sprung up just as her feet touched the ground, executing a hard strike against Bullet's back. Undeterred by the initial exchange, Bullet countered with a fiery punch, but Tifa swiftly sidestepped the response, seizing the opportunity to launch her own counter-assault. With practiced precision, Tifa mercilessly punched and kicked at Bullet's vulnerable spots, seeking to exploit any opening and gain the advantage.

Bullet, her fiery determination undeterred despite the relentless beatings, surged forth with an upward kick, propelling Tifa into the air. Without missing a beat, she unleashed a series of combos, culminating in two powerful punches and a blast from her Magic Formula Weapons. Continuing the assault, Bullet grasped Tifa, dragging her backward, and delivered a powerful shot that sent her hurtling upward. Finally, Bullet leaped into the air, executing a forceful explosion punch that drove Tifa crashing down onto the burning ground. Tifa, filled with newfound strength, shouted,

"All right, let's see if you can keep up with this!"

She channeled her energy, activating her Limit Break, initiating a series of swift attacks. Bullet adeptly blocked the initial triple punch onslaught, gracefully leaping over a water-imbued kick, but was caught off guard by the rapid somersault kick that landed squarely on her chin.

Tifa soared into the air, seamlessly securing Bullet into a powerful vertical suplex position. With unwavering determination, she executed a downward slam, driving Bullet's head into the ground with earth-shattering force before unleashing a mighty uppercut augmented by the inexplicable presence of a chirping dolphin. Grasping Bullet, she hurled her into the streets with explosive force, culminating in a resounding eruption.

Bullet, dazed after the fierce assault, shook her head, trying to regain composure. With a questioning tone, she murmured to herself,

"Did I just see a dolphin? What the...?"

Tifa Lockhart, harnessing her power, yelled out,

"Final Heaven!"

She focused her energy, amassing a giant ball of energy in her fist, and unleashed a devastating punch as she sprinted past Bullet. The force of the impact unleashed an explosion with staggering intensity, leaving a trail of destruction countless times more potent than her previous attacks. Bullet, battered but resilient, emerged from the fiery inferno, her scorched undershirt exposed as her jacket burned away. Firmly determined, she yelled,

"Enough!"

She unleashed a powerful punch, her fist connecting forcefully with Tifa's jaw, momentarily stunning her. Tifa, taken aback and left aghast, cried out,

"Ah! What the—?!"

Before she could react, Bullet seized her, mercilessly delivering multiple explosive blows directly to her face with her Magic Formula Weapon gauntlets. Then, with a ruthless move, Bullet hurled her to the ground, where an ominous pile bunker extended from her gauntlet, charging up a tremendous heat energy. As the energy reached its peak, it discharged, obliterating the entire area with cataclysmic force.

Bullet stood triumphantly at the center of the deep crater where the battleground once was, where Tifa lay unconscious in a crumpled heap. With a deliberate gesture, Bullet tore off her charred undershirt, revealing her black bra. Looking down at Tifa, she uttered,

"Count yourself fortunate that I've vented enough steam to let you go. Don't get in my way again."

She turned and walking away, leaving the fallen warrior behind.

Strength: Okay, it was difficult to make this a fair comparison of brute strength. If she were scaled as high as possible to match with all the characters, she'd be infinitely stronger than Bullet, and if we know one thing from Goku vs Superman 1 & 2, infinite strength isn't fun unless it's actually part of the character like Hecules, Son Wukong, or multidimensional beings. So I made a generous low ball to give Tifa a knowable limit. Tifa early on could scale to Vincent Valentine, where characters at that point were capable of challenging Ifrit, a summon who could turn the surface of the planet to ash, a feat that would need 12 Exatons of TNT. That's cool, but given that Limit Breaks multiply Tifa's power with no specified limit, let's be very generous again and say her power is multiplied to 433 Exatons, just slight enough power to destroy the moon outright. Bullet, meanwhile, scales to characters who are capable of generating enough power to destroy the planet, and the moon, requiring about 16 Yottatons. That makes Bullet 39,952X stronger than Tifa. Tifa has admitted she has gotten weaker when she started slacking off.

Speed: This one seems tricky, but was easy to solve enough. Tifa could share Cloud's Death Battle feat of being able to move and react 1,200X faster than light, but let's take this to a logical extreme. Tifa is comparable to characters who match the speed of the Knight's of the Round, with King Arthur being able to destroy the entire dimension. Given that Gaea is a stand in for Earth, it's safe to assume their universe is the same size as ours. Given the attack lasts at least 4 seconds, to destroy the entire observable universe in 4 seconds would require traveling 72.4 quintillion times light speed. That's stupid fast, but since Bullet has infinite reaction time as the rest of the Blazblue cast, she could anticipate anything Tifa throws at her, even the counterattack materia.

Skill: While both women seem equally skilled at their respective fighting styles, I'd say that Tifa wins due to the versatility of her martial skill, compared to Bullet's heavier focus on grappling.

Experience: Both women appear to be equal in how long they've been fighting, and the versatility of their foes, but Tifa is more used to fighting in a team while Bullet normally fights 1-1 matches.

Powers: Normally, Tifa would be able to win with the sheer quantity of material she has over Bullet's exclusive fire attacks, but not only is magic not her strongest suite, her lack of specialization means that she's likely no better of magical abilities than the dedicated masters of Blazblue, so that's a muted advantage. So in terms of power versatility or quality, they were mostly even.

The winner is Bullet.
