Nick was looking through his tablet before one came up and he smiled.
"This will be a good one."
"I think your definition of what is a good one and what isn't are vastly different to ours." Thalia said which made some of the audience laugh a bit.
Nick rolled his eyes "Oh like you haven't complained yet."
Thalia blinked "Excuse me, I've complained multiple times about the shit you put out."
"Duly noted and thrown away." Nick said which made Thalia's eyes sparkle before Jason put a hand on her shoulder. "Give it up, Thals, it's not worth it."
"Anyway, what we have is Percy in his natural habitat." Nick said, tapping on his tablet.
"What's that, surrounded by danger?" Annabeth asked which made Percy pout and cross his arms.
"That's his second habitat. No, this one you guys might enjoy as a sort of break from the macabre." Nick before the TV screen turned on.
It began... With the ocean.
The waves were calm with the flow of the wind giving off the sea spray that many a man enjoyed to feel against their face. The sound of the sea gulls along with the rustling of the waves gave off a peaceful feeling.
However, a large wooden shape disturbed the water. The camera panned up to reveal a pirate ship. It was made of dark wood and had the masts made out of black cloth and a blue Trident in the middle. On the top mast was the black flag that was a typical skull with swords.
"Oh so we're dealing with pirates this time?" Percy asked to which Annabeth rolled her eyes.
"Oh great."
"This oughta be good." Leo smirked
Up on the deck, the crew mates were escorting two women in white and yellow dresses. One with tanned skin, curly blonde hair and familiar storming grey eyes.
The other woman had dark skin and sloppy brown hair, but the most startling detail was her multicolored eyes.
"Piper?" Jason asked with wide eyes while Piper's eye twitched at being a damsel in distress.
Annabeth herself groaned "I thought we had enough with pirates back on Circes' Island."
"Don't remind me." Percy said with a sour tone.
Annabeth had a stoic and hardened look while Piper was frightened. Shaking in terror as she and Annabeth were escorted to the middle of the deck.
The screen zoomed to the stairs where a pair of black leather stamped down the stairs only to pan up to reveal Percy Jackson in his pirateness.
"Oh my..." Annabeth and Piper unashamedly said with a blush on their faces.
The men, aside from Percy, felt jealous at the sight.
Percy on screen had fair skin with a black mustache growing as well as a stubble growing. His outfit consisted of black but had trims of blue in it. His chest was exposed, showing his hardened muscles. Along the waist was a belt with a shiny silver rapier sheathed and two flintlock pistols holstered. He had his signature troublemaker grin as he walked towards the two women.
"Welcome mi'ladies, to the Poseidon. I'm Captain Percy Jackson."
Annabeth glared at him "What do you want with us?"
His expression did not falter as he answered. "Not really much. Just hold you prisoner until your mother pays us for your safe return home."
"So we were captured... For ransom!?" Piper seethed which frightened Percy and even Jason, though he was also aroused.
Annabeth snarled "You seriously think my mother will pay YOU to free me?"
Percy simply chuckled and replied "The question you should be asking is... If you're worth the money your mother would pay to see you brought back."
This made Annabehh blink and become silent.
"But no worries! We intend to make this a comfortable ride for you ladies. That is, until we are given a response from your mother." Percy had more of a genuine smile as he looked up at his crew. "Lads! Let's give these ladies a shanty they will never forget."
The crew roared in approval before Percy tapped his boot before singing in a rather pleasant voice.
Percy: There once was a ship that put to sea. The name of the ship was the Billy of Tea. The winds blew up, her bow dipped down. Oh blow, my bully boys, blow (huh)
Everyone blinked and listened before Thalia groaned "Really? We're listening to a musical?"
"An awesome musical!" Piper argued.
"They're singing the Wellerman? That's an awesome song." Percy said with a hint of excitement.
The crew sang the next part with Captain Percy.
Crew: Soon may the Wellerman come, To bring us sugar and tea and rum. One day, when the tonguing is done. We'll take our leave and go.
Percy: She'd not been two weeks from shore. When down on her a right whale bore. The captain called all hands and swore. He'd take that whale in tow (huh)

The Crew: Da-da-da-da-da. Da-da-da-da-da-da-da. Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
The shanty changed to a little faster beat before another crew mate began to sing. The screen panned over to reveal Jason singing from the top deck next to the wheel.
Jason: What will we do with a drunken sailor? What will we do with a drunken sailor? What will we do with a drunken sailor? Early in the morning!
"Holy crap! Jason is a pirate too?" Leo asked with excitement leaking out of his voice.
Piper blushed at how good looking Jason looked. And that singing voice was nothing to scoff at.
Jason: Put him in the brig until his sober!Put him in the brig until his sober! Put him in the brig until his sober! Early in the morning!
To which point some of the crew members grabbed one of their crew mates who was drinking from a bottle, and tossed him down into the ship which made everyone laugh before singing once more.
The Crew: Way hay and up she rises! Way hay and up she rises! Way hay and up she rises! Early in the morning!
The shanty changed once more to a more somber song as Percy began to sing once more.
Percy: Oh, the wind was foul and the sea ran high. Leave her, Johnny, leave her. She shipped it green and none went by. And it's time for us to leave her.
Percy sang as danced around Annabeth while Jason grabbed Piper's hand and they started to dance. Piper seemed to start enjoying it, laughing along.
"Really Piper?" Hazel asked with a bit of a deadpan tone.
"What? It's Jason." Piper defended herself.
"You're having fun with the people who kidnapped you for ransom." Annabeth argued.
"Only you, I don't know why I was with you." Piper fired back.
Percy: Leave her, Johnny, leave her. Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her. For the voyage is long and the winds don't blow. And it's time for us to leave her.
Percy looked into her eyes while his troublemaking grin was back.
It went back to Jason as he sang a more uplifting and energetic shanty while spinning Piper and dancing with her.
Jason: Cape Cod Ships ain't got no sails.
The Crew: Haul away, haul away!
Jason: They'd all blown off in the northeast Gail.
The Crew: And we're bound away for Australia. So heave her up my bully bully boys. Haul away, haul away! Heave her up and don't you make and we're bound away for Australia!
Jason danced with Piper before doing the classic lean where he held Piper near the floor.
The next shanty was sung by Leo who sang as he held onto a rope that took him down to the deck. This shanty was the most energetic with the crew slamming their foot down in beat while some crew members hummed a tune.
Leo: Oh Santiana gained the day!
Crew: Away Santiana!
Leo: Now pull the yan up the west, they say!
Crew: Along the plains of Mexico!
"Me too!? Hades yeah!" Leo pumped his fist.
"Oh this is a great shanty." Percy said while nodding his head to the beat. Jason and Frank also found themselves enjoying the beat. Thalia was even tapping her foot at the beat.
Crew: Well heave her up and away we'll go! Away Santiana! Heave her up and away we'll go. Along the plains of Mexico!
Percy then inexplicably grabbed Annabeth's hand and began dancing with her which shocked the blonde beauty, but she wasn't resisting.
Percy: She's a fast clipper ship and a bully good crew.
Crew: Away Santiana!
Percy: And an old salty Yank for a captain too.
Crew: Along the plains of Mexico!
Piper crossed her arms and looked at Annabeth with a smirk and a raised eyebrow.
Annabeth herself blushed and stammered "Sh-shut up!"
The audience laughed slightly before paying attention to the screen and nodded their head to the beat.
Crew: Well heave her up and away we'll go. Away Santiana! Heave her up and away we'll go! Along the plains of Mexico!
Frank showed up, sliding down the rails of the stairs before rolling onto the deck and stood up as he sang.
Frank: Santiana fought for gold!
Crew: Away Santiana!
Frank: Around Cape Horn through the ice and snow!
Crew: Along the plains of Mexico!
"Well alright then! My time to shine." Frank smiled to which Hazel giggled and rested her head against his shoulder.
Crew: Well heave her up and away we'll go! Away Santiana! Heave her up and away we'll go! Along the plains of Mexico!
Jason danced with Piper while Percy danced with Annabeth who was actually smiling and seemed to have forgotten about her mother. She felt... Free. And all because Percy kidnapped her.
The crew, Frank, Leo, Jason, and Percy all sang the final lyric before the viewing ended.
Crew: So leave her Johnny, up we'll go! The drunken sailor, Wellerman whaler. Bound away for Mexico!
The audience took a deep breath before Hazel said "Wow... That was a fun viewing."
Jason looked at his sister with a smirk "Not so bad for a musical, huh Thalia?"
She rolled her eyes "Oh go screw yourself."
Percy smiled "I really liked that one. The sea shanties all sounded amazing."
Annabeth herself was smiling as well. "This certainly was a breath of fresh air."
Nick smiled "Glad you all enjoyed it. Now let us continue."
AN: Hey guys, Sorry that this wasn't the Venom chapter I teased in the last chapter. Had lost a bit of motivation and I realized every time I teased the next chapter, well I would probably lose interest. But don't worry, I will get to it eventually. Just unsure if it will be next chapter or the following chapter.
(OK, so this is an edit because I learned that half of the songs were cut off so I reworked this chapter.)
