Shouta slowly opened and closed his eyes as he woke up. The morning light didn't hit him directly, but the room was light and bright. The thin curtains covering the window acted like big bright light boxes for the morning sun, softening the light pouring inside.

He stretched out his body, which made the duvet shift to expose his chest to the warm air. After stretching he reached out his arm to the side without looking.

Only to be met with an empty bed.

Shouta turned his head and saw Toshinori's side vacant, with the duvet swept to the side. He was about to turn back around when he caught sight of something on Toshinori's pillow. He reached out and saw it was a light yellow sticky note.

"Don't go back to sleep! I have a surprise for you. But first you have to get out of bed sleepy head!"

Shouta could practically hear Toshinori's voice as he read the enthusiastic note. It also had a small wonky wide-smiling smiley on it—with silhouettes of All Might's characteristic hair strands added on top.

He wanted to turn around and go back to sleep. Partly out of playful spite. Partly because it had been a long week and they both finally had the weekend off to be together and rest up.

But it was almost noon already and he was quite curious what Yagi could be up to. So after a minute or two he slowly got out of bed. He dressed himself in a pair of loose-fitting pyjama pants and a tank top before walking towards the door.

Once he got out he could hear sounds coming from the kitchen, but made his way to the toilet first.

As he was tying his hair into a bun he noticed another yellow sticky note on the mirror.

"Hope you slept well. Hurry up and meet me in the kitchen!"

This note too had smilies. Two to be exact. One happy smiling next to the first line and winking one by the second. Both decorated with All Might hairstrands. He got a small smile on his face from the silly doodles.

When he left the bathroom he felt slightly more awake. Though he still very much would've liked to go back and bury himself in bed. It'd probably still be warm… But he headed on towards the kitchen instead.

Just before he turned the corner to the kitchen he caught sight of another yellow square on the wall.

"Almost there!"

Yet another brightly smiling all might doodle, but this one with whiskers added too.

Once he turned the corner he saw Toshinori by the stove. He was putting something on a plate while humming on a song. The smell of salmon hit him, along with other tasteful smells. On the table were parts of a traditional breakfast with rice, and miso soup, along with a few small dishes.

Toshinori turned around to place the prepared fish on the table, as Shouta walked closer. His eyes grew big along with a bright smile on his face.

"Shouta! You're just in time," Toshinori said.

Now that Shouta could see Toshinori fully, he noticed something that made him smile.

"What are you wearing?" he asked.

Toshinori had a comically small apron tied on, patterned with flowers in blue and pink. Shouta was sure it was a normal size, but it looked like a children's one on Toshinori's tall frame.

"Oh, it's my apron," Toshinori said looking down on himself, his bangs swaying as he moved.

"I think you need a slightly bigger one," Shouta said, but he didn't really mind. Actually, he found that Toshinori looked quite… adorablecharming in it. Though the blush that appeared on Toshinori's cheeks at his words wasn't anything he'd complain about.

"I don't think they sell any bigger ones," Toshinori said, scratching the back of his neck.

Shouta only hummed and walked up to him, letting a hand trail over the pattern. Toshinori's blush increased but he didn't pull away.

"Erm- I made breakfast!" he said, flustered.

"It smells good," Shouta muttered, leaning closer to Toshinori. Toshinori visibly swallowed but leaned closer too.

Shouta smirked. He was still rather tired—and a bit grumpy from waking up without Toshinori—so he couldn't help himself.

He let his hand lightly trail up along Toshinori's chest, coming around his neck. Toshinori followed his movement, bending slightly forward so Shouta could reach better. Then Shouta let his breath brush over Toshinoris neck. Hovering just a millimetre away. He could feel Toshinori shiver. He smirked before leaning in and letting his lips brush a gentle kiss against the soft skin.

Then he leaned away, quick enough to catch Toshinori's expression. His face was soft—mouth just slightly agape and eyes closed—fully relaxed and a bit flushed. Then he reacted to Shouta's hasty retreat and opened his eyes, looking slightly surprised and embarrassed.

"Come on. I'm hungry," Shouta said, turning to the table so Toshinori wouldn't see his smug face.

He heard a small chuckle and shuffling behind him. Toshinori placed the last dish on the table and sat down opposite Shouta.

The breakfast was cosy, if a bit quiet. Shouta wasn't much for talking in the mornings. Still, he found himself enjoying the company. The food was delicious, Shouta didn't know Toshinori was such a good cook.

After breakfast all Shouta wanted to do was go back to sleep (preferably with Toshinori to keep him warm). Toshinori said they should 'get the day started' to which Shouta only huffed. Not that Toshinori seemed to object when Shouta dragged away with him off towards the bed.

A/N:

Earlier posted on my AO3 but posting it here now too. I made the sticky notes as digital art myself too, but can't put them here sadly
