Author's Opening Note: I'm proud to announce that "The Incredibles" has won the poll for the next film, and by a landslide too. I'm very happy it won, since it's my favorite Pixar film and one of my favorite superhero films. Casting suggestions are welcome via PM, but I'll need them fast.

Review Responses

dale130: I'd love to make a "Lord of the Rings" adaptation, but only as a one-shot.

Guest 8/5/24: That's my all-time favorite Spielberg film and I'm positive that I'll write a one-shot adaptation in the future.

Guest 8/3/24: I'll probably write a one-shot for "Jaws", but I doubt I'll ever adapt "Close Encounters". I never really got into it.

Guest 7/31/24: Since "The Incredibles" won the vote, then you'll most likely see "Spiderman" 2002 in the one-shot fic.

helljack666: Hahaha. That's a good idea.

Blackwing8: I'm already writing a 300 adaptation in my one-shot fic.

blaiseingfire: Lol. I'm glad I made you laugh.

AqueousVessel8: You're right. Thanks for pointing that out.

keybladelight: As I've said before, I don't have as much spare time as I once did and it's unlikely that I'll be able to write anymore full-length films after I finish "The Incredibles".

VirusChris: I know exactly what you mean. Ozma disowning Oscar was way out of line, but given the earlier deception, and the belief that Valka was killed by the dragons, it's easy to believe that Ozma felt betrayed by the only family he had left. Plus, as you said, he realized the error of his ways and took back what he said earlier, so it's not like he was unforgivable.

GojiraFan455516: I agree. That romantic flight was the most heartwarming scene in the film. And if you liked how I handled the disownment scene, your gonna love the Red Death battle.

Yawar: I'm sorry. I'd love to adapt the sequels if I could, but life is getting in the way, and I can't burn myself out.

Open to the beach on Dragon Island. Stakes were being sharpened and planted in the sand, angled toward the volcano. Boulders were loaded into catapult set up along the shore.

Ozma was drawing a battle plan in the sand with his sword. Peter and the other lieutenants stood at his sides.

"When we crack this mountain open, all hell is going to break loose," Ozma said darkly.

"In my undies. Good thing I brought extras," Peter quipped.

"Good call," Qrow agreed. "I got a feeling that a few Vikings will need to change once they see that big bastard show up."

"Speaking of which, Ozma is right. This is not gonna be pretty," Ironwood said, already fearing what a potential massacre would happen.

"They need to get out of there. It's still not too late," Winter said urgently.

Ozma approached the base of the volcano. "No matter how this ends, it ends today," he declared as he held up a hand, then made a fist.

Heeding Ozma's signal, the catapult crews launched the boulders, sending them crashing into the side of the mountain. The hollow wall of rock cracked and fell away, leaving a large hole. Ozma climbed up to the hole, war hammer and shield at the ready, the rest of Berks army assembled close behind him.

After a pause, he gestured with his weapon. A catapult fired one last projective: an enflamed bushel. The fiery projective flew into the dark hole, illuminating it...and revealing it was chock full of dragons.

Fearless, Ozma raised his weapon and charged forward. In a chaotic flurry, the dragons suddenly rush out like a swarm of bats. They took flight, dodging the swings from the Vikings as they went, and fleeing the island in huge flocks. On Ozma's ship, the confined Toothless watched the scene unfold and lowered his 'ears', whimpering in apprehension.

The audience became more tense, preparing for the worst.

"He knows what's coming," Ren observed in a small voice.

"And so do we," Nora said with an edge.

Oscar stared rigidly at the screen. "Don't be too late, other me…" he pleaded under his breath.

"Is that it?" Peter asked before shrugging it off.

Ozma looked up at the fleeing flock of dragons, confused.

"We've done it!" a Viking hollered, prompting the other Vikings to cheer loudly.

But Ozma didn't join in. He knew something was wrong. Back on the ship, Toothless desperately tried to free himself from his restraints.

"Fools. They won't be cheering when they realize what they're really fleeing from," Ironwood sighed with a frown.

"Except my counterpart. He can already tell something is amiss," Ozpin noted.

"Way more than just amiss," Harriet expanded on Ozpins words.

"This isn't over! Form your ranks! Hold together!" Ozma barked at his men before turning back towards the cave.

Just then, the ground began to shake. The ground of the cave cracked. And a deep, loud roar echoed from the cave, it's force so powerful it sent a gust of hot air out of the cave that rocked the ships on the beach. Staring down the throat of the cave, Ozma's eyes went wide as he spotted something.

Ozma jumped down from the cave mouth. "Get clear!" he warned loudly.

The alarmed Vikings complied and ran for their lives just as cliff edge cracked and fell apart in an avalanche of stone. And through it emerged the massive Red Death, awake and enraged.

"Look at the size of that thing," Marrow noted, now that the Red Death was in full view.

"You were right, Jaune. It's certainly bigger than the Grimm Dragon," Ren agreed with Jaunes earlier statement.

"And possibly stronger too," Weiss concluded with a slow sip of tea.

As the army fled back toward the beach, Ozma and Peter stopped to stare at the colossal dragon as it emerged from the cliff face, showing how massive it was: four-hundred feet long from snout to tail, almost one-hundred feet high and surprisingly it had wings. It reared it's head and let out a roar that could be heard from miles away.

"What is that?!" Peter questioned in shock.

"Brother of Light help us," Ozma whispered in horror.

"It was at this moment...Ozma realized...he fucked up!" Nora said in a deep voice. [1]

Despite the situation, a few people laughed at Nora providing some humor.

Ozma regained his composure. "Catapults!" he ordered.

The Vikings fired, scoring direct hits on the Red Deaths massive head. But the boulders simply bounced off the dragon's thick hide, not even phasing it. The Red Death turned its attention to the catapults. It destroyed the first one, snatching it up in its jaws and chomping it to splinters.

"I think that just pissed it off more," Yang remarked as she sipped her soda.

"Even their strongest weapons are nothing but an annoyance to it," Vine commented.

"Then they need to retreat," Ironwood suggested strongly.

"Something tells me the Red Death won't let them escape so easily," Penny said doubtfully.

The Vikings were in full retreat toward the ships now.

"Get to the ships!" one of the men shouted.

Ozma followed. "No! No!" we warned, waving his arms.

The Red Death inhaled deeply and exhaled a huge plume of flame over the ships lined up along the beach, sending several Vikings falling overboard. Just like that, the entire fleet was destroyed.

Toothless whimpered helplessly as he was now surrounded by flames.

The audience gaped at the destructive power of the Red Death. It could have incinerated all of Berk with a single fiery breath.

"Oh no! Toothless is trapped!" Ruby cried with her hands to her cheeks.

"And the Vikings are stranded there. Nothing but sitting ducks," Maria added.

Ironwood facepalmed. "This is turning into a disaster," he murmured.

"Smart, that one," Peter complimented the Red Deaths cunning.

Ozma looked down the beach, trying to think of something while the fleet burned behind him.

"I was a fool," he said remorsefully.

"You're damn right you were. You practically offered your men on a silver platter to that beast," Clover reprimanded Ozma.

"Lead the men to the far side of the island!" Ozma instructed one of his lieutenants.

"Right!" the Viking complied as he led the army away from the advancing Red Death

"What are they supposed to do then? Swim back to Berk?" Marrow said sarcastically.

"Well, anywhere is better than staying there to be eaten by that thing," Harriet countered.

"Peter, go with the men!" Ozma commanded.

"I think I'll stay, in case you're thinking of doing something crazy," Peter refused.

"I can buy them a few minutes if I give that thing someone to hunt!" Ozma said selflessly.

Peter grabbed Ozma's wrist. "Then I can double that time," he declared, loyally clasping Ozma's hand.

Ozma smiled at Peter. Friends to the very end.

"He knows he caused this mess. So now he's trying to salvage it as best he can," Vine observed Ozpin's counterpart.

"Even if it costs him his life," Harriet said with grudging respect. "He's brave, I'll give him that."

"And Peter is just the kind of friend I'd like to have watching my back in battle," Qrow remarked.

"Here!" Ozma shouted as he charged the Red Death.

"Oh, no!" Peter laughed mirthlessly as he followed Ozma. "Here!"

The Red Death mercifully dropped a Viking hanging from in its jaws, allowing him to run to safety.

Ozma ripped a sharpened post from the sand and threw it at the Red Deaths face, narrowly missing one of its eyes.

"Maybe if they take its eyes out and blind it, the others could have a chance to escape," Jaune recommended before munching on some popcorn.

"Not a bad idea, but it could probably still smell them. It sniffed out Toothless, Oscar, and Ruby earlier," Penny reminded.

The distracted Red Death looked down and spotted the two Vikings.

"Come on! Fight me!" Peter shouted as he waved his arms at the dragon.

"No, me!" Ozma shouted.

"Ozma's stubborn and foolhardy…but you gotta admit, he's got guts facing a dragon that big," Marrow

"Maybe so. But that may not be enough to save the rest of the Vikings," Clover said skeptically.

"Come on, other me. Where are you?!" Oscar murmured urgently.

The Red Death glanced back and forth between the two men before deciding on Ozma. With a growl, the beast reared up on its hind legs, preparing its fiery breath…when a fire blast exploded against the back of its head. The distracted dragon looked around while Ozma stared in confusion.

Elm blinked in surprise. "Huh? What was that?"

"A catapult shot maybe?" Marrow guessed with a shrug.

Qrow smiled slowly. "No…I think the cavalry has just arrived."

Just then, four dragons flew into view from behind the Red Death. They were a Deadly Nadder Monstrous Nightmare, a Zippleback, and a Gronckle. They all flew in formation, and as they got closer, the recruits could be seen riding on their backs. Oscar took the lead on the Nadder while Ruby sat behind him, Jaune rode the Gronckle, Cardin the Nightmare, and Ren and Nora rode the Zippleback.

The dragon riders banked right, flying past Ozma, who stared in slack-jawed awe and disbelief.

Everyone beamed the recruits all riding dragons, their spirits reinvigorated, especially Oscars.

"Yeah! The cavalry has arrived!" Ruby whooped.

"All right! Here we go!" Yang shouted excitedly.

"We're all riding dragons!" Nora laughed delightfully.

"I think we're in for another awesome final showdown," Jaune predicted.

"Ren, Nora! Watch your backs!

Move, Jaune!" Oscar barked orders at the other recruits.

"Look at us! We're on a dragon," Ren boasted.

"Whoa!" Jaune yelped as he struggled to keep his balance on the rotund Gronckle.

"We're on dragons! All of us!" Cardin shouted.

The other Vikings shared Ozma's expression as they looked up at the dragon riders as they flew over the burning fleet of ships.

"Every bit the bull-headed stubborn Viking you ever were!" Peter remarked about Oscar.

Ozma nodded silently.

"I'll be he's really regretting his earlier words now," Elm judged Ozma.

"He should be," Harriet said harshly.

"I just hope they'll be able to patch things up…assuming either of them survives this," Blake said darkly.

The dragon riders all assembled.

"Jaune, break it down!" Jaune instructed.

"OK. Heavily armored skull and tail made for bashing and crushing!" Jaune accurately described the Red Death. "Steer clear of both. Small eyes, large nostrils! Relies on hearing and smell!"

As Jaune spoke, the enraged Red Death seized a Viking ship in its jaws and tossed it aside like a toy, smashing it to pieces.

Maria nodded. "Very astute observations," she complimented.

"Not to mention it's the size of an Atlesian airship," Clover added.

"And it seems invulnerable to conventional weapons and attacks," Ironwood finished, curious as to how the Red Death would be beaten.

"OK, Cardin, Jaune! Hang in its blind spot, make noise, keep it confused!" Oscar ordered. "Ren, Nora, find out if it has a shot limit! Make it mad!"

"That's my specialty!" Nora bragged.

"Since when?! Everyone knows I'm more irritating!" Ren protested. "See?" he hung upside down and made annoying noises.

A few people snickered at other-Ren's juvenile behavior, notably Nora.

Ren rolled his eyes. "Grow up, will you," he criticized his counterpart.

"Plus, I believe it's already mad," Penny finished.

"Just do what I told you," Oscar shouted in frustration. "I'll be back as soon as I can!"

With that, Oscar banked left and separated from the rest of the squadron, leaving them to their jobs.

"Good work, Oscar. You've become quite the leader," Ozpin complimented his host.

"Yeah. And you're leading the very first dragon riders!" Nora hollered.

"Yeah. That's pretty awesome," Oscar chuckled, feeling a swell of pride for his counterpart.

"Don't worry! We got it covered!" Ren assured.

"Yeah! Whoo!" Nora whooped in excitement.

The dragon riders all flew along the Red Death's massive, spiky back from behind.

Ren and Nora flew in front of the best and began to taunt it.

"Troll!" Ren shouted.

"Butt elf!" Nora chimed in.

"Bride of Grendel!" Ren finished.

The Red Death angrily spit out a stream of flame at the siblings, but they managed to dodge it.

"Whoa!" Ren and Nora jumped at the close call.

"Careful, guys," Oscar cautioned his teammates.

"I don't think he liked that last insult," Elm noted, wondering who this Grendel was.

"I think butt elf was better," Ruby giggled.

The Red Death prepared another fire blast, but a metallic pound sound distracted it. It was Jaune and Cardin hitting their shields with their weapons. The dragon quickly spotted and glared at them with its six eyes.

"Uh…this thing doesn't have a blind spot!" Jaune pointed out in a panic.

Meanwhile, Oscar and Ruby flew over the burning Viking fleet, searching for Toothless. A loud cry tipped them off.

"There!" Oscar pointed down at Toothless on Ozma's ship.

The Nadder turned around and flew down toward Toothless' location. Oscar handed the dragons reins to Ruby, prepared himself, and jumped down onto the deck in front of Toothless.

"Go help the others!" Oscar ordered Ruby, who complied immediately.

"OK, hold on. Hold on," Oscar said as he pried off Toothless' muzzle then started working on the chains.

"If he can get Toothless free, I'll bet they can beat the Red Death somehow," Ruby

"Perhaps. Or at least distract it long enough for everyone else to possibly escape the island," Winter

Back to the other recruits as they kept the Red Death disorientated with their shield bashing.

"It's working!" Jaune yelled positively.

"Yeah, it's working!" Cardin joined in.

"I never thought I'd see the day where Cardin and I work together," Jaune said in surprise.

Unfortunately, the Gronckle and Nightmare were equally affected and lost their bearings. With a swing of its massive head, the Red Death knocked Cardin off his dragon. He landed onto the dragons' huge head and just barely stopped himself from sliding off.

Weiss looked concerned. "Oooh, looks like it worked too well," she noted.

"It's counterproductive," Blake said concisely.

"At least they bought Oscar time to rescue Toothless," Jaune looked on the bright side.

Jaune's disorientated Gronckle began to spin out of control.

"I've lost power on the Gronckle! Cardin, do something!" Jaune cried out as he threw his hammer over to Cardin.

Jaune screamed as the Gronckle fell to the ground and slid to a stop…

"I'm OK!" Jaune called out.

then it tipped over, squashing him.

"…less okay," Jaune said, his voice muffled.

Everyone laughed at the slapstick Jaune suffered. It was a nice bit of levity. Even Jaune couldn't hide a smile.

"Careful, fearless leader," Nora giggled.

"Don't worry. Other me says he's okay," Jaune waved it off.

As the Red Death angrily reared up, Jaune cried out as he struggled to crawl out of the way as the dragon's enormous foot lifted and moved toward him.

Cardin raised his hammer. "I can't miss! What's wrong, buddy? Something in your eye?" he taunted the dragon as he smacked the dragons' enormous eyes.

The Red Death bellowed in pain and fury as it slammed its foot down, narrowly missing Jaune.

"Smart move going for its eyes," Harriet remarked.

"He's helping, I'll give him that," Ren conceded.

Just then, Ruby flew past. "Yeah! You're the Viking!" she hollered.

Cardin grinned with pride at Ruby's praise. Distracted, he was thrown and landed on one of the Red Death's spines, hanging precariously and losing his hammer.

"Whoa!" Cardin looked down at the ground a hundred feet below.

"Pay attention to what you're doing, you oaf!" Weiss shouted at the screen.

"Yeah! I wouldn't be caught dead with you anyway," Ruby

Yang smiled. "That a girl, sis," she patted Ruby on the shoulder.

The Red Death swung its massive tail, sweeping it over the burning ships and snapping off masts. One of them slammed down, nearly hitting Oscar as he desperately tried to free Toothless. Next, the dragon raised one it's huge feet and brought it down upon the bow, knocking both of them into the water.

Half the audience gasped in alarm and fear for Toothless.

"He'll sink right to the bottom with that restraint on," Elm said.

The confined Toothless whined and struggled as he sank like a stone to the bottom while Oscar swam as fast as he could after his dragon friend.

Reaching Toothless, Oscar tugged fruitlessly at the chains until he began to go limp, almost out of air.

"He's drowning!" Ruby cried with worry.

"We'll both drown at this rate!" Oscar gripped his armrests.

Just then, a hand reached out to grab Oscar and he was pulled upward. Toothless looked in wide eyed helplessness, thinking he was done for.

"No! Don't leave Toothless behind!" Weiss shouted.

Ozma reached the surface with Oscar in tow. He set the boy down onto a rock on the shore.

Oscar coughed and sat up. "Dad?" he whispered.

"But what about Toothless?!" Blake fretted.

"Go back and help him!" Oscar pleaded.

"Don't leave him to drown. For pity's sake!" Ozpin implored his counterpart.

Wordlessly, Ozma dived back down into the water and swam to the drowning Toothless. The dragon opened his eyes and went still…before Ozma reached over and broke chain off the yoke with his bare hands.

In a moment of stillness, they exchanged tense looks. Then Toothless lunged out from the bars of his confinement, snatching Ozma as he went. He then erupted from the water, landed on the shore, and set Ozpin down. Oscar stared in astonishment.

"He rescued him," Elm muttered in disbelief.

"So, he's finally had a change of heart," Clover deducted about Ozma.

"Thank the Brothers," Maria exhaled gratefully.

Toothless perched himself on a rock to observe the Red Death roaring not far away and spread his wings. He turned to Oscar and snorted, ushering him to hop on.

"You got it, bud," Oscar said as he mounted Toothless.

Oscar strapped himself onto Toothless' harness.

"Oscar!" Ozma gently grabbed Oscar's wrist. "I'm sorry... f-for everything." [2]

Oscar nodded. "Yeah. Me, too."

"You should be," Ozpin said sternly.

"Yeah. You really dropped the ball on this one," Qrow added.

Oscar sighed deeply. "Honestly...we both messed up," he lamented. "I should have been more upfront about Toothless."

"You don't have to go up there," Ozma tried to talk Oscar out of fighting.

"We're Vikings. It's an occupational hazard," Oscar said with a smile, which Ozma returned.

Ozma put his hand over Oscars. "I'm proud to call you my son," he declared, taking back what he said earlier.

"Thanks, Dad," he whispered, forgiving his father.

"Oooh," a few people cooed, touched by Ozma's words, especially Oscar.

"It's about time he finally said that," Yang stated, her arms folded.

"That's just the kind of encouragement he needs right now," Blake agreed with her partner.

With that, Toothless spread his wings and took to the air in a flash while Ozma gazed up, wishing the duo luck.

Ruby spotted Toothless rocketing through the sky, gaining altitude.

"He's up!" Ruby shouted before turning to the siblings, who were fighting again. "Get Cardin out of there."

"I'm on it!" Nora complied.

"Hey! I'm on it first!" Ren retorted.

The two siblings began pushing one another.

Weiss scoffed. "Really? Now of all times!"

Ren and Nora both cleared their throats awkwardly.

"Hey, let me drive! I'm ahead of you," Ren shouted at his sister.

"No, this way," Nora shouted back.

"Don't push me!"

"I'll take your teeth out!"

"Now is not the time for that, guys," Jaune scolded while Ren and Nora looked embarrassed.

"Jaune is right. Will you two grow up and focus on the matter at hand," Maria said harshly.

As the Zippleback approached the Red Death, Cardin seized his chance, ran down the beast's head, and jumped off its horn, landing between the two Zippleback heads, impressing the two siblings.

"I can't believe that worked!" Ren said in surprise.

The Zippleback flew away, but the Red Death spotted Ruby and opened its mouth wide to inhale. The suction was so strong, Ruby and her Deadly Nadder tried to fly away, but were slowly pulled toward the behemoths gaping mouth like a vacuum cleaner.

"Oh no! Ruby!" Yang cried as she reached for the screen.

"No! I don't want to be dragon food!" Ruby gripped her cloak.

"Someone save her!" Oscar yelled perilously.

Luckily, a familiar high pitched diving din was heard as Toothless appeared high above descended into a supersonic dive-bomb

"Night Fury!" a Viking cried in alarm.

"Get down!" Peter warned, and all the Vikings ducked and raised their shields.

Toothless performed a dive bomb and fired a blast at the Red Death, forcing it to shut its mouth. But the blast knocked Ruby off her Nadder, sending her screaming and falling toward the ground.

"Catch her, Toothless!" Yang cried out.

Fortunately, Toothless managed to circle around and catch Ruby by the foot just in time.

"Did you get her?" Oscar asked.

Toothless looked underneath himself and saw a smiling and grateful Ruby. Toothless gave her a gummy smile of his own.

"Awww!" all of the women cooed at Toothless' smile.

"Thanks for the save, Toothless," Ruby smiled brightly.

"He's so cute when he smiles like that!" Weiss gushed with a hand on her cheek.

Toothless flipped Ruby right side up and carefully set her down on the ground. He then flew off to confront the Red Death.

"Go," Ruby softly bid Oscar luck.

Toothless flew past the Red Death as he began to gain altitude again.

"That thing has wings," Oscar noted. "OK, let's see if it can use them!"

Marrow scratched his head. "Why would Oscar want to get it airborne?"

"Maybe so I can lure it away from the island so everyone else can get away," Oscar guessed his counterparts' idea.

"Well, given the Red Deaths sheer bulk, I doubt that it could fly, anyway," Penny said skeptically. [3]

A few people shot tentative looks at Penny for tempting fate.

Toothless went into another dive bomb, picking up speed rapidly as he took aim at the Red Death again and spat another fireball against Red Death's side, sending it falling over in a ground-shaking heap.

The Vikings on the ground shielded themselves from the resulting dust of the fallen behemoth. Then one of its wings extended from its massive body.

"You think that did it?" Oscar shot a look behind him…

and saw the furious Red Death hover into view, its giant wings flapping.

"Well, he can fly," Oscar as he guided Toothless toward a group of sea stacks.

Everyone stared in amazement that the Red Death was indeed capable of flight.

Penny twiddled her thumbs. "Then again...I could be wrong," she said sheepishly.

"Amazing something so big can actually fly," Vine commented. "But how are they going to kill it?"

"Perhaps Oscar can lead it into the sea stacks and render it unconscious," Winter suggested.

The surprisingly fast Red Death pursued them, snapping its jaws, at them, but couldn't quite catch up to them. Oscar and Toothless pulled ahead while the Red Death began to smash through the sea stacks, shattering them to pieces as it closely pursued the duo.

On the beach, the assembled Vikings watched as Toothless flew past with the Red Death in pursuit. The recruits cheered the duo on while Ruby and Ozma looked tense. The Red Death burst through another rocky formations as it went, sending dust blowing over the crowd.

"Those sea stacks aren't going to stopping it. They're not even slowing it down," Weiss said in shock while Winter deflated.

"It's even more amazing that it's fast enough to keep pace with Toothless," Ren noted the Red Deaths surprising speed.

"So how does other me plan to kill this thing?" Oscar questioned his counterpart.

Knowing the sea stacks weren't stopping the beast, Oscar looked up at the dark clouds above.

"OK, Toothless, time to disappear," Oscar instructed his partner.

Toothless grunted and began to climb steeply up toward the clouds, the Red Death in hot pursuit.

"Come on, bud!" Oscar urged.

Behind them, the Red Death inhaled deeply as it prepared a fire blast.

"Here it comes! Watch out!" Oscar warned, hearing the noise behind them.

The Red Death spat out a huge plume of fire which Toothless narrowly dodged just as they reached the dark clouds. Down below, the Vikings watched as the gigantic dragon vanished.

"Ah! I see. He's luring it up in those clouds to lose it," Ironwood figured out.

Qrow nodded. "Clever thinking. But then what?"

"Oscar has a knack for crazy plans, so I have a feeling it's going to be awesome," Yang expected as she rubbed her hands excitedly.

The Red Death stopped and hovered for a few moments, growling in irritation as it scanned the clouds for its quarry.

Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a blue fire blast struck the Red Deaths wing from behind and Toothless zoomed past.

Toothless, almost perfectly camouflaged in the dark clouds, flew light fast circles around the mammoth Dragon, bombarding and puncturing its wings from all directions with more fireballs.

Back to the crowd down on the beach, everyone watched in wide-eyed awe at the fire flashes lit up the dark clouds, the Red Deaths silhouette appearing with each one.

"Yeah! Kick his ass, Toothless!" Nora cheered with a hand to her mouth.

"It looks like Toothless is aiming for its wings," Ren pointed out.

"A sound move. That should at least inhibit it's flying capabilities," Penny said astutely.

Enraged and frustrated, the Red Death spun around and spat out flame in all directions, spreading it around like a firestorm as it filled the sky.

"Watch out!" Oscar cried out as Toothless flew too close.

But it was too late. The blast hit Toothless' tail. Oscar shot a look back, and saw the prosthetic fin was now burning.

"Uh-oh," a few people murmured.

"He can't stay airborne much for much longer," Vine noted.

"So, it's now or never Toothless and I beat the Red Death," Oscar declared as he crossed his fingers.

"OK, time's up! Let's see if this works," Oscar said with nervous hope.

Toothless dove straight toward the Red Death's face.

"Come on! Is that the best you can do?!" Oscar taunted.

The giant dragon shot them a baleful look and snapped its huge jaws, barely missing them.

"Ooooh, he's really pissed now,"

"Idea. Anger makes you do stupid things,"

"And Oscar's taking full advantage of it,"

Toothless went into a lighting dive through with the angry, bellowing Red Death right behind them.

"Stay with me, buddy," Oscar encouraged Toothless. "We're good. Just a bit longer."

As they neared the ground, the Red Death slowly gained on its target, its eyes narrowed in focus.

"Hold, Toothless," Oscar urged.

Just then, the Red Death opened its mouth, preparing a fire blast. That was Oscar's cue.

"Now!" Oscar shouted.

Oscar pressed on the harness pedal, and Toothless pivoted in place to face the Red Death. Toothless then spat a fire blast directly into point blank into the monster's mouth. The prepared gas was ignited, backfiring into the beast.

Oscar and Toothless emerged from the clouds, the Red Death right behind them, it's mouth aflame. It spotted the ground rushing up toward it. It widened its eyes in shock and opened its wings, trying to slow itself down, they were damaged from Toothless earlier assault, rendering it powerless to halt its momentum.

The entire audience gasped or gaped in awe at the stunt Toothless just pulled.

"Wow!" multiple people exclaimed in amazement at Oscars ingenuity.

"That was so smart!" Nora commended Oscar.

"Indeed, using the Red Deaths flammable gas against it was brilliant!" Ozpin praised Oscar's counterpart.

"So was crippling its wings so it couldn't stop itself

As the Red Death let out one last bellow, Toothless pulled out of the dive and streaked past the behemoths head.

Finally, the Red Death hit the rocky ground and exploded like an airship filled with fire dust. The resulting explosion was so big, it could be seen from a mile away.

The audience whooped and applauded Oscar's victory.

"The Red Death sure went out with a bang," Yang smirked while everyone else groaned or booed softly.

Ignoring his niece, Qrow clapped Oscar on the shoulder. "You did it, kid. You've finally slain a dragon."

"And not just any dragon. But possibly the biggest and most dangerous one that ever lived," Maria speculated.

"You'll definitely go down in history for this," Ozma predicted.

Oscar looked touched. "Thank you everyone. Toothless and I were pretty cool."

Toothless and Oscar weaved upward along the monsters back as the fireball sped upward, trying to consume them. They're barely outflying the fireball. Up ahead, the Red Deaths huge, clubbed tail swung toward them just as Toothless' prosthetic finally burned away.

Oscar pressed fruitlessly on the pedals "No. No!" he cried.

But it was no good. They were dead in the air. The massive tail struck Toothless, knocking Oscar off and sending him falling unconscious toward the approaching fireball. With his last ounce of strength, Toothless dove downward to catch Oscar, and the fire cloud swallowed the both of them.

The entire audience gasped or recoiled at the new peril the duo were in.

"Oh no!" Ruby put her hands to her cheeks.

"Save him, Toothless!"

The Vikings all watched in horror as Oscar and Toothless vanished into the huge fire cloud.

Sometime later, the beach was now coated in a thick blanket of ash and smoke. Somewhere in the gloom, someone could be heard coughing.

Ozma appeared from the smoke. "Oscar? Oscar?! Son?!" he called, searching desperately.

Through the mist of ash, Ozma spotted Toothless laying motionless on the ground.

"Oscar," Ozma muttered as he rushed over to the dragon's side.

Toothless was battered, but conscious. Breathing heavily, the dragon rolled over onto his side, revealing his empty, burnt harness.

Ozma fell to his knees in despair. "Oh, son. I did this," he whispered, believing Oscar was dead.

The other Vikings crowded not far behind Ozma as the mist began to clear. Ruby and Peter pushed through them, then gasped at the scene, the formers eyes welling up. Soft, mournful music played as the assembled Vikings bowed their heads in respect. Behind them, a group of dragons gathered and peaked over.

Half of the moviegoers bowed their heads in respect for the apparently deceased Oscar while the other half, notably, Nora, Ruby, and Weiss, began to tear up.

"No, he can't be dead. He just can't!" Nora sobbed while Ren put an arm around her for comfort.

"After all that…" Qrow murmured with sorrow.

"My counterpart must feel horrible…thinking this is all his fault…" Ozpin grieved softly.

Toothless stirred and grumbled, his eyes fluttering open as he looked at the grieving Ozma.

"Oh, son, I'm so sorry," Ozma whispered, barely holding back tears.

Toothless lifted his wing, revealing an unconscious Oscar clutched against his chest.

"Oscar!" Ozma rushed over and scooped Oscar into his arms.

Ozma removed his helmet and put his head against Oscar's chest. He heard a heartbeat.

"He's alive!" Ozma laughed with relief. "You brought him back alive."

The crowd of Vikings cheered. Ruby laughed with joy, her hands going to her mouth. The dragons leaned forward to watch the scene. The Vikings realized in surprise that they were now surrounded by their "enemies".

The relieved audience clapped and cheered Oscar's survival and triumph over the Red Death.

"Well, that's…awkward," Maria commented on the Vikings and dragons standing side by side.

"Indeed. It'll probably take time for Vikings and Dragons to fully co-exist," Clover guessed.

Ozma leaned down and gently placed a hand on Toothless' face. "Thank you for saving my son," he said sincerely.

Peter stepped forward. "Well, you know... most of him," he corrected, looking downward.

Ozma glanced at Peter, irritated.

"Huh?" a few people said in puzzlement.

"What does he mean by that?" Oscar asked warily.

Yang frowned deeply. "I think I know…"

Cut to Oscar laying asleep in bed after an unknown amount of time. Toothless stood over him, whining and eager for his friend to wake up.

"Hey, Toothless," Oscar said in a groggy voice.

Toothless excitedly nudged Oscar, trying to get him out of bed.

"He must have stayed by Oscars side the whole time," Winter smiled warmly.

"Such loyalty," Elm commended, prompting nods.

"I'm happy to see you, too, bud," Oscar mumbled.

Toothless accidentally stepped on Oscar's crotch, forcing the boy to swiftly sit upright with a pained yelp.

"Ooh!" a few men winced before covering their nether regions.

Ruby giggled. "That reminds me of Zwei jumping on me early in the morning," she recalled.

"Except in Toothless' case, it's like a Beowolf jumping on you," Yang corrected.

Oscar then looked around the room, bewildered. He was in his house back at Berk.

"I'm in my house. You're in my house!" Oscar said in alarm.

Overjoyed, Toothless jumped around the room, knocking things over before returning to Oscars side.

Most of the audience laughed or cooed at how cute Toothless was acting.

Harriet laughed. "He's so cute when he acts like this. Like a big puppy dog."

"Cause he's happy that Oscar's finally awake~" Weiss said in a little sing song voice.

"Does my dad know you're here?!" Oscar asked with concern.

Toothless got up in Oscar's face, encouraging him to get out of bed like a happy, impatient dog.

"What? OK, OK," Oscar tried to calm the dragon down.

Toothless then leaped up onto the rafters above Oscar's bed.

"Toothless, no. No, Toothless. Toothless!" Oscar shouted, worried that Toothless would break the rafters under his weight. "Oh, come on."

"Wait. How long was I out?" Oscar asked what everyone was wondering.

Maria scratched her chin. "Good question."

"You won't know until you get outside," Ren said simply.

Oscar pulled off his covers, preparing to get out of bed…then he saw something that made him pause. Toothless dropped down to the floor.

Oscar placed his right, booted foot onto the floor. Then a metal prosthetic in place of his left foot. It was a spring-loaded leg made of wood and metal. Toothless lowered his head to sniff the new leg. He then raised his gaze to meet Oscars, fully aware of what he was experiencing.

Elm put a hand to her chest. "Oh…he lost his leg," she said with pity.

"Poor guy. I know just how he feels," Yang glanced at her prosthetic arm.

"Thankfully, he's got a good prosthetic to replace it," Peny said positively.

Oscar took a few deep breaths, bracing himself. Then he stood up on his new leg, using a bedpost for support. He then took a step but stumbled and fell. Luckily for him, Toothless caught him with his head and lifted him back up.

"OK. Thanks, bud," Oscar said gratefully.

With Toothless supporting him, Oscar took a few steps toward the door.

Oscar smiled warmly. "Yeah. Thanks, bud," he said gratefully. "At least we have something in common now."

"Everyone should have a friend like Toothless," Jaune said fondly.

"Your right. A friend like Toothless is one in a million," Marrow remarked.

Oscar reached the door and opened it, revealing a Monstrous Nightmare outside. Oscar yelped in alarm and slammed the door shut.

Oscar turned to Toothless. "Toothless, stay here, bud," he instructed.

"Oh no! They're not still fighting, are they?" Ruby fretted softly.

Blake shook her head. "I don't think so. We didn't hear any sounds of battle outside,

Oscar slowly opened the door again to peak outside…revealing Cardin riding the Monstrous Nightmare.

"Come on, guys. Get ready!" Cardin called as he flew off. "Hold on tight! Here we go!"

Following Cardin were all of the other recruits riding their respective dragons.

Confused, Oscar took a few steps outside and looked down below.

"What?" he muttered in amazement.

There were Vikings and Dragons milling about. Dozens of them. Carrying out mundane tasks together, like metal work, construction, and others. Not a sign of battle was in sight.

Everyone was mesmerized by the new version of Berk. It was like paradise.

"By the brothers, look at that," Ren breathed.

Nora laughed jubilantly. "Vikings and Dragons all living and working in harmony! Like they should have from the beginning!"

"It's so beautiful!" Ruby, as a single tear trickled down her cheek.

"If only the Grimm could be pacified in such a way," Ozpin lamented, knowing it would never happen.

"I knew it. I'm dead," Oscar muttered.

Ozma chuckled and appeared behind his son. "No, but you gave it your best shot," he said, patting Oscar on the shoulder.

"So, what do you think?" Ozma asked Oscar about the new and improved Berk.

"Hey, look, it's Oscar!" a Viking called out.

The other Vikings surrounded Oscar, praising him as a hero.

"Turns out all we needed was a little more of…this," Ozma said, gesturing to nothing specifically.

"You just gestured to all of me," Oscar pointed out.

Ozma smiled and nodded slightly.

Peter pushed through the crowd. "Well, most of you. That bit's my handiwork," he pointed at the Oscars prosthetic leg. "With a little Oscar flair thrown in. You think it'll do?"

"I might make a few tweaks," Oscar said, eliciting laughter from the crowd.

"Lucky for you, Peter was around to build you a good prosthetic," Ozpin noted.

"Yeah. He's like the uncle other-me never had," Oscar said gratefully.

Suddenly, Ruby appeared and jabbed Oscar on the arm, making the boy wince and recoil away.

"That's for scaring me," Ruby scolded Oscar.

"Will you give stop that already," Oscar groaned in frustration.

"Yeah. Take it easy sis. He's been through hell," Yang scolded.

"Yeah, other me. At least you have all your limbs," Ruby chided.

"What is it always going to be this way? 'Cause..." Oscar began to protest.

But before he could finish, Ruby grabbed the boy, then yanked him into a kiss on the lips. The crowd gasped and hooted.

Oscar paused and nodded. "...I could get used to it."

Ruby smiled sweetly at Oscar.

The audience cooed or hollered in heartwarming celebration while Ruby and Oscar both smiled bashfully and blushed bright red, happy for their counterparts.

"Did I say you two were cute together? Cause I meant adorable!" Yang gushed as she pinched Ruby's cheeks.

Ruby pushed her sisters' hands away. "Stop it, sis," she protested, although she couldn't hide her smile.

Peter approached Oscar with a new saddle. "Welcome home," he said, handing it to Oscar.

Just then, Toothless popped out of Oscars house.

"Night Fury! Get down!" a Viking cried out.

Toothless excitedly eyed the new saddle and burst through the crowd of Vikings, knocking a few of them down. Oscar and Ruby both exchanged amused smiles.

The audience laughed at the "Night Fury! Get down!" running gag.

"I guess some things just never change," Elm threw up her hands.

With his prosthetic foot, Oscar pressed on the pedals of the new harness, opening Toothless prosthetic tail fin. Astride Oscar was Ruby mounted on her Deadly Nadder as they both prepared to fly.

"You ready?" Oscar asked Toothless, the dragon snorting in the affirmative.

Oscar gazed out at the new, changed world around him as he voiced over the films ending.

"This is Berk. It snows nine months of the year and hails the other three," Oscar narrated.

"The weather may still be harsh, but at least they don't have to worry about dragon raids anymore," Winter presumed.

"Mm-hmm. This could be the start of a golden age for Vikings and Dragons," Maria proclaimed.

Oscar and Ruby took off, racing on their respective dragons through the village, over rooftops, under bridges, past ship masts.

"Any food that grows here is tough and tasteless. The people that grow here are even more so," Oscar continued. "The only upsides are the pets. While other places have ponies or parrots..."

Ruby waved dismissively. "I don't mind. I'd trade in a pony for a dragon any day."

"Me too!" Nora chirped.

"Me three," Oscar joined in.

One by one, the other recruits joined Oscar and Ruby in flight atop their own dragons.

"...we have...dragons," Oscar finished as he and a bellowing Toothless broke off and twirled into the sunny sky.

The audience applauded and whistled.

"Best. Village. Ever!" Nora punctuated loudly eliciting nods of agreement.

Finally, the film's title was displayed in broad, red lettering: "How to Train Your Dragon."

Ruby tilted her head. "Huh. Why was the film's title shown at the end?"

"Well, in hindsight, it does make sense," Penny said logically. [4]

Vine nodded. "I agree. It would have spoiled part of the film."

The screen went blank, and the lights turned back on as Gold-Sith reappeared.

"How was that?" Gold-Sith asked for feedback.

"That was great!" Ruby praised the film.

"I think it was my favorite," Nora gave her opinion.

"Mine too," Oscar smiled warmly.

"I have one more viewing ready if everyone is up for it," Gold-Sith offered.

Nobody voiced any decline. "I think we can squeeze in just one more viewing," Clover spoke for everyone.

"But first, give us a few minutes to stretch our legs and use the bathroom," Harriet requested.

"Of course. Take your time."

The moviegoers all milled about for a few minutes, taking care of business before assembling back into the theater and returning to the seats.

"Is everyone ready?" Ironwood asked, receiving nods. "Okay, Gold-Sith. What's next?"

"Oh, you'll all love it. It's an action film in a more modern setting with supernatural elements mixed in," Gold-Sith answered, looking excited to show.

"That sounds pretty cool," Yang said confidently.

"It will be. Just sit back and enjoy everyone."

The audience sat back down, and the lights dimmed as the screen displayed one last multiverse viewing.

Author's Closing Note: I know this chapter was short, but there was only about fifteen minutes film left for this chapter.

Author's Points

[1]- I just had to throw this in. Stoick/Ozma's expression pretty much screams: "What have I done? I should have listened to Hiccup/Oscar!".

[2]- Right here is the only reason I personally forgave Stoick. Even then, if I were Hiccup, I'd be a little slower to excuse Stoick, even after he apologized and helped rescue Toothless.

[3]- I hate to be that guy, but realistically, there's no way something as bulky and heavy as the Red Death could sustain flight.

[4]- It's good that the title didn't appear until the end, otherwise audience would have been confused since the Vikings and Dragons started
