"Last time on Total Drama: Heroes and Villains, the campers tested their brains and teamwork. The teams were forced to work together to solve puzzles and escape their rooms. Kylie and Zane decided to put romance on hold to focus on the game, which worked great: *Camera shows Zane getting sent home. "Meanwhile Clara and Wade work to make an evil alliance both thinking they are pulling the strings. This week everything changes so stay tuned to see what happens next"

*Mess Hall*
.
The 14 remaining campers dragged themselves into the mess hall. They took their seats, their eyes heavy with sleep and their stomachs growling with morning hunger. Chef Hatchet stood behind the counter, a sinister smile on his face.
"Good morning, campers. Today's breakfast is... 'Chef's Special Scramble,'" he announced, slamming down plates of a mysterious, greyish, lumpy mixture.
Ana stared at her plate, her face contorted with disgust. "What is this even supposed to be?"
Brittany leaned in to sniff her food and immediately recoiled. "It smells like a science experiment gone wrong, and I don't eat science shit."
Brianna took a tentative bite and gagged, reaching for her water bottle. "Is this even edible?"
Dallas, ever the optimist, tried to put a positive spin on it. "Maybe it's an acquired taste?" He took a bite, chewed slowly, and then shook his head. "Nope. Definitely not."
Howard pushed his plate away entirely. "I'd rather eat the napkins."
Leon laughed. "The napkins probably taste better, too."
Wade, trying to be brave, swallowed a mouthful and turned green. "I think I can feel it moving..."
Ax examined the food with suspicion. "Are we sure this isn't just last night's leftovers?"
Clara grimaced as she tasted the "scramble." "This is like a punishment. What did we do to deserve this?"
Clay chuckled. " This is Chef's way of making us tougher."
Giovanni (Wolfie) growled, his frustration clear. "I've eaten better in the wild. This is just... cruel."
Katie pushed her plate aside and folded her arms. "Can't we just go on a hunger strike or something?"
Kylie nodded in agreement. "I'm in. Anything is better than this."
Melissa looked at the others and sighed. "We have to eat something, or we won't have energy for the challenge today."
Chef Hatchet, overhearing their complaints, leaned in with a menacing grin. "If you think this is bad, just wait until lunch."
The campers groaned in unison, pushing their plates away, defeated. As they filed out of the mess hall, their hopes for a decent meal dwindled, replaced by a shared sense of culinary dread.
As the campers groaned, moaned and complained Chris entered and began to speak. "Campers you have officially made it to the team merge. From this point on we will go from three teams to two teams. Those teams will be called the Sinister Serpents for our Villains and the Valiant Voyagers for our heroes. With that being said we have a twist today, there is no elimination, rather the winner of today's challenge will be enjoying a luxury feast.
Now let's find out the teams for the serpents we have: Ana, Brittany, Clara, Dallas, Howard, Leon and Wade."
"Wait Chris that team doesn't make any sense" Melissa argued "Wade has been nothing but nice and Howard also seems to have been pleasant, also Clara. How are they villains she finished"
As her sentence ended for the first time outside of the confessional booth, Wades' smile changed from his pleasant demeanor to one that could only be described as cruel.
"I'm glad you asked" Chris chuckled, as he said this a tv dropped into the mess hall and we see a slideshow of Wade and Clara, it includes confessionals and the two of them causing eliminations of Junior, Julia, Hardington, Zane and the rest of the bards. Many of the other campers in the room gasped.
Confessional-Brianna
"I had no idea Wade was so evil, I can't believe I trusted him"
Confessional-Brittany
"Wade is pretty smart for a boring pipsqueak. I may not have given him enough credit."
Confessional-Wade
"I knew I was going to be outed as a villain but I was not prepared for my entire playbook to be outed like that, time to adjust and regroup"
End Confessional
Chris continued, "As for Howard, well he has been with Brittany and Leon enough to be considered a villain so he is on this team, and the teams are final.
Speaking of teams, that makes the Voyagers; Ax. Brianna, Clay, Katie, Kylie, Melissa and Wolfie"
Clay and Ax highfived and Brianna and Melissa hugged, there seemed to be a lot less tension in the room regarding this team.
"Oh I almost forgot" Chris said laughing again "the teams are not yet complete, rounding out the Voyagers is returning camper Junior, and rounding out the snakes is our favorite loser Zane"
The two of them entered the mess hall, Kylie smiled when she spotted Zane.
"Wait Chris, why am I a villain?" Zane questioned.
"Just be happy to be back on the show" Chris gumbled. Clearly upset at the campers questioning his teams.
Confessional-Junior
"I am happy to be back and all, but sad Julia is gone, and also how did Wade do so much damage when I warned so many people"
Confessional-Zane
"It's good to be back but this new team may be rough, no matter, time to focus on the money and winning"
Confessional-Kylie
"I love that Zane is back, but worried I will get distracted maybe it's good he and I are on different teams"
End Confessional

*The Dock*
.
The camera cuts to the dock where we see the 16 campers standing in their two new teams, all wearing their swimwear. Dallas as usual was staring at Ana in her bikini which left very little to the imagination.
Chris stood with Chef Hatchet, a mischievous grin on his face as he briefed the teams on their next challenge.
"Alright, campers! Today's challenge is all about diving prowess and nerve," Chris announced, gesturing towards the sparkling waters of the lake. "Each team will send one camper at a time to dive and collect as many rings as possible. Green rings are worth 1 point, yellow rings are worth 2 points, and red rings are worth a whopping 3 points. But beware, lurking in these waters are some hungry sharks, this season has been far too tame so we had to up the danger."
Confessional-Melissa
"Just when I thought Chris was going to have a somewhat normal, less dangerous season, I should have known better."
End Confessional
Brittany and Brianna stood side by side, ready to go first for their respective teams.
Brianna hummed a soft tune to calm her nerves, oblivious to Brittany's calculating gaze.
Brittany, eyed Brianna with a cool smirk. She adjusted her diving mask with deliberate slowness, then shot a glance at Brianna. "You ready, princess?" she taunted, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Brianna, forced a smile. "Always," she replied, her voice tinged with determination and nerves.
They donned their goggles and slipped into the water, the chill of the lake momentarily taking their breath away. Sunlight filtered through the water, casting an ethereal glow over the lakebed below.
As they descended, Brianna's eyes widened with awe at the underwater world around her. She spotted a glimmer of yellow among the rocks and kicked off towards it, her movements graceful yet purposeful. Just as she reached out to grab the yellow ring, a shadow moved swiftly past her—a massive shark, its presence sending a shiver down her spine.
Brittany, close behind, saw an opportunity. With a swift and calculated push, she directed Brianna off course, sending her dangerously close to the path of the approaching predator. Brianna gasped in shock, the sudden movement causing her to lose grip on the rings she had collected.
Meanwhile, Brittany seized the moment to her advantage. She darted towards a nearby coral formation and deftly retrieved a red ring and a yellow ring, her competitive drive pushing her forward despite the dangers lurking below.
Above the surface, Chris watched with a raised eyebrow, his arms crossed over his chest. "Well, that's quite the start," he muttered, observing the dynamics unfold underwater.
As Brittany and Brianna surfaced, tension crackled between them, Chris wasted no time in calculating their scores. "Brittany secures a red ring worth 3 points and a yellow ring worth 2 points," he announced, marking down the Serpents' score. "That gives them a total of 5 points for this round."
Brittany smirked triumphantly at Brianna, who struggled to catch her breath after the close encounter with the shark. The other campers exchanged glances, worried about what Brittany might do next.
.
Melissa stood at the edge of the dock, her expression cold and distant as she prepared for her turn in the diving challenge alongside Wade. The once friendly rapport between them had dissolved into a bitter disdain after Melissa's discovery of Wade's manipulations.
Melissa shot him a steely glare, her jaw clenched tightly. She had trusted Wade, only to learn he had used their friendship to his advantage. The betrayal fueled her determination to outperform him in the challenge.
As they dove into the water, Melissa's mind raced with thoughts of betrayal and deception. She was determined to prove her strength and resilience despite Wade's actions.
Underwater, Melissa's movements were swift and purposeful. She spotted clusters of rings scattered across the lakebed—green, yellow, and even a few red ones glinting among the rocks. With precision born of frustration, she darted through the water, snatching up rings with efficiency and skill.
Meanwhile, Wade struggled to keep up. Melissa's competitive drive intensified as she spotted a cluster of rings near a rocky outcrop. Ignoring the passing schools of fish, she seized a red ring, feeling a surge of satisfaction despite the bitterness in her heart.
Emerging from the water, Melissa's chest heaved with exertion. She shot Wade a withering glance, her eyes cold and unforgiving. Wade, struggling to catch his breath, avoided her gaze, his expression a mix of resignation and indifference.
Chris, observing from the dock, noted their efforts with a critical eye. "Melissa scores big with 3 rings: 2 yellow worth 2 points each and 1 red worth 3 points," he announced, recording her score. "Wade manages to grab 1 green ring, adding 1 point to the Serpents' total, Making this a 6-5 game."
Melissa's lips curled into a smirk of satisfaction as she heard Wade's meager score. She turned away without a word, her disdain for him burning hotter than ever.
Ax and Dallas stood at the edge of the dock, each equipped with their snorkel gear and ready to dive into the deep blue water. Ax adjusted his goggles nervously, glancing at Dallas who seemed unusually jittery.
"Alright, Dallas, you got this," Ax encouraged, clapping Dallas on the shoulder. "Just focus on the rings and forget about everything else."
Dallas nodded absentmindedly, his gaze drifting towards Ana who was adjusting her snorkel nearby, her bikini-clad figure catching the sunlight. He gulped nervously, trying to shake off the distraction.
"Remember, it's about speed and accuracy," Chris spoke signaling the start of their turn. "On your marks, get set..."
With a splash, Ax dove into the water, his powerful strokes propelling him towards the scattered rings. He spotted a green ring glinting in the sunlight and reached out, grabbing it with a triumphant shout. He continued scanning the area, but the underwater currents were strong, making it difficult to navigate.
Meanwhile, Dallas hesitated for a moment, taking a deep breath before plunging into the water. Immediately, he struggled against the current, his movements awkward and uncoordinated. His focus wavered as he caught glimpses of Ana on the dock.
"Dallas, focus!" Ana's voice echoed through the water, tinged with frustration. "We need those rings!"
Startled, Dallas snapped back to attention, but it was too late. He missed the rings entirely, his efforts in vain as he surfaced, empty-handed and embarrassed.
"I... I couldn't..." Dallas stammered, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
Ax managed to retrieve one green ring despite the challenging conditions, his experience in the water proving advantageous. He surfaced alongside Dallas, offering a reassuring pat on the back.
"Well this was quite disappointing" Chris sighed "the score is now 7-5 Serpents."
Ana glared at Dallas, "way to mess that one up cowboy"
Confessional-Dallas
"I am not sure I like who I've been recently, Ana seems to bring out the worst in me"

.
Zane and Kylie prepared for their turn. Standing at the edge of the dock, they exchanged determined glances, though their focus wavered each time their eyes met.
Zane adjusted his goggles, trying to steady his nerves. He knew this challenge was crucial, not just for points but also to prove himself after being brought back into the game. Kylie stood beside him, her confidence evident in the way she adjusted her swimsuit and checked her equipment with practiced ease.
Chris stood on the dock, clipboard in hand, ready to tally up the scores. "Alright, Zane and Kylie, you're up next. Remember, green rings are worth 1 point, yellow rings 2 points, and red rings 3 points. And watch out for the sharks!"
Zane nodded, taking a deep breath to calm his racing heart. He focused on the rings, calculating his dive strategy. Beside him, Kylie mirrored his determination, her gaze flickering between the rings and Zane.
"Ready... set... go!" Chris called out, and the timer started ticking.
Zane plunged into the water first, kicking hard to propel himself towards the nearest cluster of rings. He reached out, grabbing two green rings and one yellow before surfacing to catch his breath. His heart sank slightly as he saw Kylie effortlessly collecting rings nearby.
Meanwhile, Kylie moved swiftly through the water, her strokes powerful and precise. She darted from ring to ring, snatching up a red, two yellow, and a green with practiced ease. Her competitive spirit drove her forward, each successful grab adding to her score.
Chris, watching from the dock, noted down their scores. "Alright, Zane with 5 points, and Kylie with an impressive 10 points!, which was needed after the snooze fest of the last round. Which makes the score 15-12 with the voyagers in the lead.
.
Clara adjusted her goggles with a sneer, eyeing the clear water beneath her. Junior stood beside her, radiating kindness and determination.
Junior glanced at Clara, offering her an encouraging nod. "Let's do our best out there, Clara."
As they plunged into the water, Clara felt the cold embrace of the lake around her. They descended deeper, eyes scanning the water for the colored rings.
Junior spotted a green ring glinting in the sunlight and propelled himself towards it with strong strokes. He reached out and grabbed it, securing their first point.
Meanwhile, Clara's heart pounded as she swam cautiously. Her eyes darted around, spotting a shadowy figure moving stealthily through the water. Panic gripped her as she realized a shark was approaching.
Junior, unaware of Clara's plight, surfaced with the green ring in hand. He looked around for Clara, expecting her to follow. However, Clara froze, her eyes wide with fear as the shark closed in.
"Clara, come on!" Junior called out, noticing her hesitation.
Before Clara could react, the shark surged forward. Clara let out a muffled scream through her regulator as the shark passed just inches away from her. The force of its movement caused her to drop the diving rings she had collected.
Junior saw Clara struggling and quickly swam towards her, grabbing her arm and pulling her towards the surface. Clara emerged gasping for air, her face pale with shock.
Chris, with a hint of disappointment in his voice, announced, "Junior gets one point for the voyagers and Clara gets nothing which makes the score 16-12.
.
Ana adjusted her snorkel mask, casting a flirtatious glance towards Wolfie. He focused on the task ahead, determined not to let her distract him.
Wolfie took a deep breath and plunged into the water, the cool embrace of the lake enveloping him. He scanned the depths below, searching for the brightly colored rings.
Ana followed suit, but her mind was split between searching for rings and trying to break Wolfie's focus. She swam closer to him, her movements deliberately seductive.
Wolfie shot her a brief smile but remained focused on the task at hand. He spotted a cluster of rings glimmering in the distance. With swift strokes, he reached out and grabbed a red ring, followed by two green ones, and a yellow one.
Meanwhile, Ana struggled to maintain her composure. She spotted a yellow ring nearby and made a grab for it, but her flirtatious antics had cost her valuable time and focus. The ring slipped from her grasp as she turned her attention back to Wolfie.
Ana surfaced shortly after, managing to retrieve a couple of green rings and one yellow ring. She glanced over at Wolfie, slightly disappointed with her performance but impressed by his focus.
Chris tallied up the scores, "With that round, the voyagers are leading 21-15"
.
Chris announced, "Next up, Katie and Howard representing the Green Goblins!"
Katie hesitated at the water's edge, her nerves evident. She adjusted her goggles anxiously while Howard stood beside her, exuding confidence.
Howard grinned at Katie reassuringly. "You got this, Katie. Just focus on the rings."
Katie nodded, taking a deep breath before plunging into the water. Immediately, she struggled to navigate the underwater terrain. Her movements were clumsy, and she couldn't seem to spot any rings within reach. Anxiety gnawed at her as she frantically scanned the murky depths.
Howard, on the other hand, dove in smoothly. His underwater prowess was evident as he swiftly located and retrieved several rings. With each dive, he emerged with rings of varying colors—red, yellow, and green—clutched in his hands.
Katie surfaced after a few moments, visibly flustered. She shook her head as she gasped for breath, unable to contribute any rings to her team's score.
Howard surfaced soon after, holding up a handful of rings triumphantly. "Eight points for the Serpents!" Chris declared, making it 23-21, Clay will have to beat Leon for the Voyagers to have a shot.
Katie looked crestfallen, realizing her poor showing had let her team down. Howard swam over to her, offering a comforting smile. "It's okay, Katie. You'll get 'em next time," he encouraged, patting her on the back.
Katie managed a weak smile, grateful for Howard's support despite her disappointment.
.
Leon and Clay stood side by side at the edge of the dock, both determined to give their teams a significant advantage. Leon, with his focused expression, and Clay, with a confident smile, exchanged a nod before diving into the water.
Clay descended swiftly, his experienced eyes scanning the depths for the glint of colored rings. His movements were precise and methodical as he darted between obstacles, effortlessly plucking ring after ring from their hidden spots. With each successful dive, he emerged with rings clutched tightly in his hands, displaying an impressive array of reds, yellows, and greens.
Meanwhile, Leon started strong, his athletic build and quick reflexes aiding him in the search for rings. He managed to gather a handful of rings early on, contributing to his team's score. However, as he ventured deeper, disaster struck—a sharp piece of coral grazed his leg, causing him to wince in pain.
Underwater, Leon gritted his teeth, trying to ignore the stinging sensation in his leg. Despite the discomfort, he pressed on, determined not to let his injury hinder his performance. However, the pain slowed his movements, making it increasingly difficult to maneuver through the water with the same agility he had started with.
Clay, on the other hand, continued to dominate the challenge. His skill and focus remained unwavering as he accumulated ring after ring, surpassing everyone else's performance in the challenge so far.
As the challenge timer neared its end, Clay resurfaced, his arms laden with rings. He climbed out of the water with a grin, acknowledging the cheers from his teammates on the dock. "Fifteen points for the Voyagers !" Chris announced, impressed by Clay's exceptional performance.
Leon surfaced shortly after, his expression a mixture of frustration and pain. He had managed to contribute a few rings to his team's total, but his injury had significantly impacted his ability to gather more.
Chris concluded, "With that final round, the Voyagers have earned the win and they will be the ones feasting tonight, luckily for the Serpents they are all safe to fight another week.

Author's Note
This was a shorter chapter but its main focus was really the merge and new teams, as well as the return twist.
With no characters going home I have no one to thank here. Excited to have Zane and Junior back, I went back and forth on who to bring back here. I even at one point thought maybe I shouldn't bring anyone back and just shorten the story by a chapter or two but that felt wrong, and I wanted to stick to the original plan. Hope you guys enjoyed who came back, hope you guys like the new teams, curious what everyone thinks about the teams and what people think will happen next. As always, thanks for reading and reviewing.
