"So, do you two know why you are here?" asked King Pendragon as he and his wife stood on one side of the headmaster and Queen Snow White grew on the other side of him.
"Is it because of my duel with Daring in front of the whole school?" asked Raven.
"Or the fact that I broke off the engagement with him?" asked Apple.
"No, neither of those are why we are here; it has to do with that True Love's Kiss that the two of you shared earlier," said Queen Snow White.
"How do you know about that?" asked Raven, both her and Apple's faces going bright red at the mention of the kiss.
"All of Ever After witnessed the light from it," said Grimhild.
"I've never heard of any True Love's Kiss that produced a light that powerful," said Apple.
"Wait, neither of us were under a curse so how could a reaction like that happen in the first place?" asked Raven.
"Actually, all of Ever After has been under a curse for decades now, making it so everyone has to play out a fake destiny without fail before they could be free," said Queen Snow White.
"And it came from the Storybook of Legends," she said.
"What?" asked the girls with shocked expressions.
"Of course the only way to break it was something that was nearly impossible," said Headmaster Grimm.
"One member of the Queen Family and one from the White Family had to fall in love," said King Arthur.
"Why didn't you ever tell us about this?" asked Apple.
"The curse wouldn't let us," said Queen Snow White.
"It's also why we couldn't bring you two together again after that one summer, the curse wouldn't let us as it was trying to protect itself," said Grimhild.
"So the whole Daring marrying Apple thing was a lie?" asked Raven.
"That was because of the false destiny created by the curse, and now that you two are together we'll have to switch your roommates," said Headmaster Grimm.
"What about Maddie and Kitty?" asked Apple.
"They are planning to marry after graduation and according to Wonderlandian law they have to live together for a few years beforehand so can't separate them," said Raven.
"We'll have to talk to some others then and see if anyone else is willing to swap," said Apple.
