Enter the Survival Horror Chapter 7

They head over to the other side of the stairwell, Chris trying another armor door that was locked. "Chris, a lot of doors have symbols on them. They need a key that corresponds to it." Bec said, in amusement.

"You got a point. Sorry, but I just wanted to be sure. I only try doors that don't have symbols on them, from now on." he said.

They continue to the end of the hall, they get rid of the zombie that was waiting for them and set it on fire. They then head through the door, leading to the resting room.

Bec grabs to the herb and Chris checks out the new door. "This one has a helmet symbol. So, we need to find that key." Chris going back to Bec.

"Yeah. We need to stop back at the storage room. I need to refill this." Bec said. She had turned the herb into powder and holds up the canister.

"Before we do..." Bec trails off, going over to the fire place.

She looks up at the picture, "This has a map of the second floor." she tells him.

He comes over to look at it, "Your're right, but there's no- What are you doing?" he asks, as Bec places the wooden mount on the mantle. She's on her tip toes.

"Making a map. Light the fireplace, please." Bec asks.

Chris gives her a look, but gets the fireplace going and they hear a sizzling sound going on the mount.

After a moment, Bec gets the mount to come off, with Chris' help, and the map of the second floor was imprinted on it. "Now we can keep track of what is in each room." Bec said. 'This is for evidence.'

"Let's go then." he said. They head back to the storage room and Bec refills the canister. They then leave, back to the c corridor and getting rid of any remaining zombies, by head shots.

They arrive back in the dining room second floor, where, to Bec's relief, the zombie had not yet transformed into a crimson head. She and Chris get rid of it before unlocking the sword door and head in.

They head left and find themselves in another stairwell and they hear noises. "Let's get rid of them first." Bec whispers to Chris. He agrees.

They get rid of the zombie that is on the stairs and burn it's body. Then they dispose of the one, hiding in the corridor leading back to the mirror hall, by head shot.

"Let's check down stairs first." Chris said, heading that way.

"Wait!" Bec said. This makes him stop and he looks back at her.

"The balcony that the note mentioned. The door leading to it is right near where we entered. We should check it out." Bec said.

"After we see what's down there." Chris said, firmly. He continues on to where he was going and Bec follows him.

They see a door on the right and a body on the ground. Not taking any chances, they set it on fire. Then they open the door to see the medical storage room and a shotgun on the bed.

Chris goes up to it, "What do you know, there's one right here." he said picking it up.

"Yeah, but we should go back for the other one." Bec said. She was glad that Chris had been determined to see what's down here and that they can take care of those dogs more easily.

"I think your right. We need firepower in this place." Chris said. He checked the gun to make sure it was loaded.

Chris then turns to her. "Let's go to the balcony now. I feel more comfortable taking you there, with this." he said, holding the shotgun.

"Ok." she responds. She grabs the serum bottle before they leave the room. They head back up the stairs and Bec unlocks the balcony door with the old key, which, like before, breaks. They head out and look around.

"Before we blow that whistle, let's see what this area holds." Chris said.

They find an green herb garden that can be used if they get injured, but nothing else. They went around the balcony and unlock the door leading to the main hall, just in case they need it.

They both agree that where they entered the balcony, would be the safest place to blow the whistle. They get back over there and ready themselves.

"Chris, there might be more than one dog, that responds to the whistle." Bec warns as she holds the handgun in one hand and the whistle in the other.

"Gotcha. Let her rip." he said, in position. He was looking out into the woods, near the door that will take them back to the stairway.

Bec blows on the whistle, tossing it as soon as she hears footprints and gets into position.

One dog comes around the corner, running to where Chris is and he shoots it two times, killing it. As he reloads, the second dog comes around and Bec shoots at it. It then is blown away by Chris, who finishes it off.

They check over the dogs, finding the one with a collar on it and take it off. Chris finds the switch and a coin pops out of it, onto his hand.

"I don't get it. This doesn't look like an ancient coin. How is this important?" Chris asks.

"Let me see." Bec said. He gives it to her and Bec presses the armor on the coin and it transform into a key.

"This is useless in unlocking doors around here. It will break." Chris said as he examined it. Bec was still holding it.

".. Let's try that door by the body, in the mirror hall." she said.

"You want to go back there? Ok." Chris said. He was puzzled as to why she wanted to go back there.

They head back to the stairwell and go over to the door leading to the mirror hall, Chris takes note of the helmet symbol on the door on the left. Once they were in the hall, they head over to the door, but they hear something.

They turn and see the crimson head get up. It was different from the zombies that Chris had seen and it moves fast. They dodge it as it attacks, quickly go past the creature to the door and shut it, blocking the creature from following them.

"Bec, you had better be glad this door is unlocked." Chris said, panting.

"Yeah, let's go." she said, panting. They head up the stairs, walking down a passage when they find the armor key.

Bec quickly removes the armor key and, just as the walls and statue come foreword, blocking them in and blades run, she puts in the fake key in it's indentation.

Everything goes back to the way it was before Bec removed the key. Chris had been shocked at what happened.

"I take back what I said in that living room. It is like a horror movie." Chris said as Bec gets back up from squatting.

"Well, that's done. We better get back and check out the rest of the stairway." Bec said.

"Let's see what's down this way." Chris said, wanting to explore the rest of the passage.

They get to the end and find another door with a helmet symbol, forcing them to go back where they came. As they get back to the door that leads into the mirror hall, they ready themselves.

Going back into the hall they hear the crimson head around the corner to where they need to go. They shoot at it, once it was in sight, keeping distance from it's claws, as well as dodging it, until it goes down and doesn't get back up.

They get back to the stairway and go downstairs, going pass the storage room. They find two doors at the end. Chris tries the door on the right, but it was locked. Thus Bec unlocks the door in front of them and go into the f hall.

"Let's go right first." Bec said. She wanted to avoid the two zombies on the windows for as long as possible.

"Ok." Chris agrees. They open the door on their right and head in, finding a body on the floor and Chris blows it's head off.

Bec grabs the hand mags from the bed and points to the wardrobe, something was making noise behind it. The doors fall open and another zombie comes out. They shoot at it until it falls and burn it.

Bec then grabs the old key that was inside of it and, to her surprise, a battery pack was with it, while Chris grabs the diary off the desk. He reads it.

May 9, 1998

Played poker tonight with Scott and Alias from Security, and Steve from Research. Steve was the big winner, but I think he was cheating. Scumbag.

May 10, 1998

One of the higher-ups assigned me to take care of a new creature. It looks like a skinned gorilla. Feeding instructions were to give it live animals.

When I threw in a pig, the creature seemed to play with it... tearing off the pig's legs and pulling out the guts before it actually started eating.

May 11, 1998

At around 5 A.M., Scott woke me up. Scared the shit out me, too. He was wearing a protective suit. He handed me another one and told me to put it on. Said there'd been an accident in the basement lab.

I just knew something like this would happen. Those bastards in Research never sleep, even on holiday.

May 12, 1998

I've been wearing the damn space suit since yesterday. My skin's getting grimy and feels itchy all over. The goddamn dogs have been looking at me funny, so I decided not to feed them today. Screw 'em.

May 13, 1998

Went to the Infirmary because my back is all swollen and feels itchy. They put a big bandage on it and told me I didn't need to wear the suit anymore. All I wanna do is sleep.

May 14, 1998

Found another big blister on my foot this morning. I ended up dragging my foot all the way to the dog's pen. They were quiet all day, which is weird.

Then I realized some of them had escaped. Maybe this is their way of getting back at me for not feeding them the last three days. If anybody finds out, I'll have my head handed to me.

May 16, 1998

Rumors going around that a researcher who tried to escape the estate last night was shot. My entire body feels hot and itchy and I'm sweating all the time now.

I scratched the swelling on my arm and a piece of rotten flesh just dropped off. What the hell's happening to me?

May 19, 1998

Fever gone but itchy. Today hungry and eat doggie food.

May 21, 1998

Itchy itchy Scott came ugly face so killed him. Tasty.

4 / / Itchy. Tasty.

"Ok, I think some illegal research was happening here and something went wrong." he said, once he was done reading. He was disturbed to see how the man lost his mind.

"Here, I'll put it in my bag." Bec said, holding out her hand. Chris gives it to her and puts it away.

He notices the battery pack, "Use it on those creature is you have to." he said. They leave the room to head across the hall.

They stop in front of the door, leading to the tiger statue. "If I remember right, according to the map, the room will be tight." Bec said.

"That's fine." Chris said. Bec digs through the back pack, pulls out the blue gemstone and they head in. They were literally side by side, for it was a small room. They both look at the statue, which had a small plate above it, with writing.

"What does it say?" Chris asks.

"It reads, 'Some tigers have a yellow eye and a blue eye.'" Bec said, putting the jewel where it goes.

It turns to the side and reveals shotgun shells and Chris grabs them, "Do you think what the plaque says is true?" he asks Bec.

"Possible, but I think they're rare." Bec said.

Bec then turns at the same time Chris does and they are meshed together. They both turn red as they stare at each other.

Bec could feel.. everything that Chris had against her. "What the hell, Chris? Why did you turn?" she asks, embarrassed.

"Why did you?" he asks, face hot. He could feel her breasts pressing against him.

"Can't resist a beautiful girl. Typical guy." Bec said, trying to reach the doorknob.

"Don't blame this on me! I didn-" Chris didn't finish his sentence before the door opened and they both fell out. "Ah!" they both said as they fall, Bec falls on top of Chris.

"Whoa! So this is what you've been up to Chris?" came Barry's voice, amusement clear.

They both turn to look at Barry, who was standing in the way out of the little hall. "Barry? What are you doing here?" Chris asks.

"I said, I was searching the west side of this place. Then I happened to hear noises from this door and when I opened it, you two fell out. Trying to get lucky?" he asks teasingly.

Both become red again as they realize their position and Bec gets off of Chris. They both stand up. "I wasn't getting 'lucky' Barry. I went into that small room with her to make sure nothing happened to her." Chris said.

"I'm just teasing you. With what's going on, I figured I'd try to lighten the situation... Say have you've two seen Wesker or Jill or maybe anyone else of Bravo team?" Barry then asks.

"Not yet." Chris said.

".. Say Barry, me and Chris are going around the corner to the longest part of the hall to see what's there. Why don't you come with us?" Bec asked, out of the blue.

"Um.. I don't think-" Barry tries to decline but Chris speaks, "Come on, Barry. It will be like old times."

".. Ok." Barry agrees, though only Bec knew it was with reluctance.

They go that way, hearing zombies banging on the windows and head through the door. Both Chris and Barry stare in shock as they see a plant moving by the fountain.

"H-How the fuck is that happening?" Chris asks, stunned.

"Got me." Barry said, surprised.

As they stare at it, Bec rummages through her backpack and bring out the herbicide. She then places it in the water pump and turns it on the red marker.
When the water comes out, tinged with red, the plant freaks out and dies.

Both men then turn to look at Bec. "How did you know that would work?" Barry asks her, once he saw the herbicide in the water pump.

"I just knew it would be useful and I got tired at hulling it around." Bec said, going over to the green herbs. She grabs all of them and makes them into powder.

Chris then grabs the mask, which the plant had been guarding, heading over to Bec. "Looks like we got everything. Let's go." Barry said.

They leave the room and as they were passing the windows, the zombies bust in. "Bec get back!" Chris yelled. He and Barry turn around and aim their guns.

Bec watches as the two of them, decapitate both zombies. "They're gone. Thank you both." Bec said.

"No problem... I'm going to go my own way for now." he said, heading over to the door that leads to the stairway.

"Are you sure, Barry? We don't mind your company." Chris said.

"I know, but there's a lot of ground to cover. I head over to the east side when I'm done here." he said going through the door.

Chris then turns back to Bec, "The map said we're close to the tea room. We never checked over that hall. So let's do that now." he said.

"Fine." Bec agrees. They head over to the door they haven't gone through yet and unlock it. They head down the hall of the tea room and unlock the door on their left.

They enter the bar room and see a piano, which Bec goes over to. As she runs her hands over the keys, she thinks, 'We could get the shield now.. but I think that for sure will set off alarm bells on Chris, if I were to play 'Moonlight Sonata'. I won't know until we meet with Rebecca if this is the same universe as before... Will Chris still trust me? Once he finds out that I know Rebecca, from last night?'

Bec then decides to play a tune, to take her mind off the raging questions. She plays a different tune then what is needed and Chris turns to her in surprise at hearing her play.

As he listens, he thinks, 'She plays wonderfully, though.. it sounds like she's not focused, completely, on it.'

Chris knows how to play guitar, thus he knows if someone is not in tune with their music.

Once the song ended, Bec turns to Chris, "I know were in a situation, but I played because I wanted to hear music again." she tells him.

"That's fine. There are no enemies here. I can see that this place is getting to you.. as well as me." Chris admits quietly.

Bec knows that Chris is right, while he's had training with the STARS, Bec never thought about going on the offensive or ever being in this situation. She knows that sooner or later she's gonna break down.

Chris had known about Bec's situation, not that he knows the whole story, he has seen a lot of it while on the job, he himself is feeling disturbed and that something wasn't right about this.

".. Let's leave. There's nothing we do in this room, that I can see." he said, going to the door.

"Ok." Bec said, following him. They head down the hall, finding the place where the elevator is and a set of stairs. Going down, they reach a door, that Bec unlocks with the sword key and they head in.

They were in the kitchen and Bec was disgusted by the smell. 'This place is worse than the facility kitchen and dining room.' she thinks as she holds her nose.

She then heads over to the rack and grabs the old key, before going over to the body and with Chris' help, sets it on fire.

"I'm out." Bec said, holding the canister.

"We have to go on the other side of the mansion to refill it." he said. He had tried the door leading to the concrete passage but it was locked. Before that, he checked the elevator and discovered there was no power.

"There's-" Bec starts to say but she stops herself. She was about to mention the gas can in the small storage room and they haven't been there yet.

"What?" he asks.

".. Nothing." she said. She scolds herself for nearly getting carried away.

They start heading for the door, but they hear footsteps just outside the door and they were not coordinated. "Shit!" Chris said, grabbing Bec and pulling her away from the door as it opens. A zombie comes in.

They shoot at it and it's head explodes, they then take they're leave.

As they approach the dining room, Bec gently puts her hand on Chris' arm and they both stop. He looks at Bec who says, "I think we should try the upper main hall door that leads outside."

"Might be best, we haven't found anything that will take us forward." he said.

They reach the main hall and go upstairs to the second floor. Bec unlocks the armor door and go in, to find themselves on a patio. They walk on, going pass the roof part and see the forest beyond.

Bec looks around for crows, but it seems they have left the area. Eventually, they come across a body. "That's Forest!" Chris said, in despair. He goes to where his friend's body is, in a chair.

He looks over the body, which was in it's spot, sitting up with his grenade launcher at his side. "What happened to you?" Chris asks.

Bec had gotten two daggers from the bench right across from Forest and 'looks' his body over. "It looks like he was pecked to death." she tells Chris.

"That doesn't make any sense. Why would birds attack him?" he asks.

".. Whatever is going on here, it seems to be infectious. The local wildlife must be infected as well." Bec said.

"What could it be? Something that brings the dead back to life and makes monsters out of animals." Chris murmurs. 'This is getting more crazy..'

"Let's go back." Bec said, after a moment passes.

"We will, once we check over this place." he said, grabbing the grenade launcher.

".. That may not be wise." Bec said.

"Why do you say that?" Chris asks, turning to her.

".. We've encounter zombies, who had been people, before this place ended up being contaminated. Forest had been attacked by infected creatures and has been here for awhile... He might come back." Bec finishes in a whisper.

Chris is silent. '..She's right. Forest could come back as a zombie at any moment now.' he realizes in despair.

"..Let's be quick then." Chris agrees that they should leave. A shadow comes from behind him and Bec sees Forest.

"No!" Bec shouts and Chris moves, just before Forest bites him.

Forest was now in between Chris and Bec. He then goes after Bec, who kicked him in the chin, making him stumble back, whips out her handgun and shoots him. Chris then shoots him from behind and he goes down.

Silence.

"I'm sorry, Chris." Bec apologizes, for shooting Forest.

"Don't, you did what you needed to do." Chris said.

Chris was sad that they had to put down Forest like that, but he knew that there had been no choice. 'He could've bitten me and then we would have to be concerned about when I would change and what would happen to Bec.'

They had not seen Wesker or Jill and Barry was around somewhere.

".. Let's go." Chris said. They leave the patio and head to the next door on the right. Back in the c corridor, Bec unlocks the door on the right and they head in to find two people.

"Richard! Rebecca!" Chris said excitedly. They head over to them, Richard was laying down with Rebecca, watching him.

"It's you! Thank good-Bec?!" Rebecca said, in shock at seeing her.

'That confirms it. I'm in the same universe.' Bec realizes as Rebecca said her name.

Chris' brows furrow, "You know each other?" he asks.

They hear a pained groan coming from Richard, who has his head on Rebecca's lap. "Later! Richard has been poisoned!" Rebecca said.

"Here's some serum." Bec said, handing it to her.

Rebecca takes it, "Richard, I'm giving you a shot now." she said. She injects the serum into Richard. After a couple of minutes, Richard relaxes.

"What the hell happened?" Chris asks.

"We got attacked by a huge snake and it poisoned him. I tried to door you came through, in hopes of finding help or serum, but the door somehow got locked." Rebecca said.

"Chris.." the person now speaking was Richard. They all look at him.

"Y-You need to get your team out of here... There are demons everywhere." he gets out, holding his arm. It had a huge scratch on it. Obviously, that's where he had gotten poisoned.

"The snake, wasn't ordinary, it is as huge as this room." Richard finishes.

"I'll take your word for it." Chris said.

"Richard." Bec says getting on her knees and taking his hand, "Don't talk any more, you need your strength but shake or nod your head. Did you happen to see anyone else, aside from Rebecca?"

Richard nods his head. "Was it a man?" Again he nods. "Was he around 6'7?" he nods once more.

"Bec.. You know this place too?" Rebecca said.

"Yes, did you see the person that Richard is talking about?" Bec then asks her.

"Yes, but we only saw him from a window. He wasn't alone, there was another man, same height as him, and he was carrying something." she said.

"You know this place, Bec?" Chris asked, voice hard.

Bec winces, she was so curious if Richard and Rebecca had seen Sergei and Ivan, that she forgot Chris doesn't know that she knows. She turns to see him glaring at her.

"Chris, please. Don't be angry with her. She had her reasons." Rebecca said, looking up at him.

"What would that be? We are in a dangerous situation. We came here to rescue you and the others, but we came in blind. Now I found out she knows this place somehow, and she didn't tell me anything." Chris said, getting angry.

"I'll explain later, Chris." Bec said, standing up and going over to the door, that will take her to the attic entry.

"No. I want an explanation. Now." he demands, going over to her.

"Stop!" Rebecca shouts, gently laying Richard down on the floor.

She goes up to the two of them and places herself in between them. "You need to calm down, Chris. She's a civilian and now is not the time." Rebecca said, glaring at him.

"Now is-" Chris starts to say, but is interrupted.

"Chris.. stop. Rebecca's right. Your making yourself a liability." Richard said, from his place on the floor.

"Bec, there's something in there you need, right? I'll go with you. Chris your staying here with Richard." Rebecca said, firmly. Chris is not happy but he could see that Rebecca wasn't backing down.

He nods at her. "Good, it should be no more than a couple of minutes. Take that time to calm down." she said.

She then turns to Bec, who has her back to her. "There's a zombie behind this door, but I want to lure it into the small dining room that is to our left. There is also a zombie in there, but we need a lighter to see." Bec whispers, sounding sad.

'She feels bad that she didn't tell Chris, but I have to say she did the right thing, at the time.' Rebecca knew that if she wouldn't have believed her at the time they met, Chris wouldn't have either.

"Chris, may we borrow your lighter, please?" Rebecca asks, holding her hand out.

Confused, Chris gives her his lighter and the girls head through the door. They hear the zombie moaning, coming out of the darkened hall, to them.

They dodge it and head into the dining room and Rebecca lights the candles. Bec quickly grabs the hand magazines and points to the shelving, "We need to move that. Behind it, is the other zombie." she said as the zombie came in from the entry.

They take it down before, moving the shelf and getting out of the way of the zombie, which came out. They get rid of it, and Bec gets the musical score.

"We're done in here. Let's back to the men." Bec said and they leave the room.

Before they get back to the pillar room, Rebecca stops her by grabbing her arm. "What happened back out on the cliff? I was so worried about you." she asked.

".. That is something I don't know." Bec answers, after a moment. It was true, she didn't know what was up with the lights.

"Does it tie in with how you know the training facility and this place?" she asks.

"I doubt it." Bec said. Rebecca let's go of her and they get back to Chris and Richard.

"Richard fell asleep." he tells them.

"Let's get him out of here. The medical storage room will be a safe place." Bec said.

"Chris, you take care of him. Bec and I will protect you both." Rebecca said. She had grabbed the herbs in the room and made them into powder.

Chris puts Richard's arm around his shoulder and picks him up to a standing position. They leave the room, staying upstairs, reaching the second floor dining room.

Before they open the door leading to the stairway, Bec turns to them. "There is a zombie, that is banging on the door to the balcony. We need to get rid of it before we take Richard downstairs." she said.

"You can't be serious. There was no zombie, when we looked it over." Chris said, disbelief apparent.

"Something's change. Ready?" she asks Rebecca.

"Yes." she said, holding her gun.

They head in and hear something pounding on the door. They get Chris and Richard out of the way, before the zombie came in. They get rid of it, it's head is blown to bits.

Chris is stunned that the zombie was there as they head downstairs. They get into the room and Chris lays Richard on the bed. Once he is settled, Chris turns to the girls.

"Here's your lighter." Rebecca said, handing it to him and checks over Richard. Chris came to Bec, who was by the desk, and stared at her. Bec fidgets nervously.

Then Rebecca breaks the awkward tension, "Richard is going to be fine. He just needs rest." she tells them.

"That's good." Bec said. Rebecca gets up and goes over to them.

"Chris, I know it seems strange, but Bec knows what's going on and what is going to happen." Rebecca said.

"How did you two meet?" he asks.

"There was a training facility, not far from here..." Rebecca explains to him about what they went through, back at the training facility and everything else. Bec even takes out the documents and papers that were gathered as evidence.

Of course, they omit Billy.

"I see." he says, once she finishes what happened back at the facility and he reads over what they found.

"So Umbrella is behind this? We already knew that the founder, Spencer, may have been involved, but the whole company? It's unreal." he said, giving the papers back to Bec.

"I know, but now we know that they're involved. However, we need more evidence." Rebecca said.

"She's right. Umbrella will fight tooth and nail in the courts." Bec said.

Chris thinks over what had been told, 'Bec was really helpful, but.. how did she know about that zombie upstairs? And all the other things?'

"How do you know this place, Bec?" he asks her. Bec bites her lip, not sure what to say.

"Actually," Rebecca says, interrupting, "I need to talk to you alone, Chris."

Bec looks at her in surprise, "Bec, I need you to wait outside the room. I'll tell you when you can come back in." Rebecca tells her.

Bec, unsure as to what is going to happen, leaves the room.

When the door shuts, Rebecca speaks, "I'm as curious as you are, about how she knows all these places and how she knows about the monsters we face, but I had gotten the feeling that is would have been too long of an explanation. That's why I waited till we got away from the facility to ask her."

"Did you ask her?" Chris asks.

"Yes... but I never got an answer. Something strange happened and she disappeared." Rebecca tells him.

"What do you mean?" he asks, confused.

"As she was going to tell me, some weird flashes of light happened. After they were done, she was gone." she said.

"Not only that," Rebecca continues, "It all happened yesterday, she had gotten injured a few times, but as I looked her over, all the injures that were there, are gone. It should have taken her weeks, she still had the medicine from the facility, to heal. Not to mention, she is wearing a completely different outfit from yesterday."

"The hell? What is up with this girl?" he asks.

"Good question. One that has to wait until we are all safe." Rebecca said.

Chris wanted to argue, but Rebecca shakes her head. "It's obviously is too long to explain and we're in a situation." she reminds him of her words.

".. All right." Chris reluctantly agrees not to question Bec about how she knows stuff and why she is different from yesterday.

"Say," he says, remembering something, "Were you the one to teach Bec how to wield a gun?"

"Yes. I gave her my second gun and showed her how to use it, as well as other weapons. It got lost as we escaped the place." Rebecca said.

Rebecca then goes over to the door and lets Bec come in. She see that Bec is shaking again, but decides not to ask her. 'I've given you the tools, Bec. You just need to ask.'

Once they were in a circle, Chris speaks, "Bec, I won't ask you why you know this place for now, but you have to tell me about things as we go through this mansion from now on."

"I understand." Bec said. She was relived that she didn't have to talk about it being a game.

"Oh, Rebecca. I have sad news." Bec then tells Rebecca about Kevin, Joseph, Kenneth and Forest's deaths to her.

"I see.." Rebecca is sadden to know that they died.

"We still have to find Enrico, he's the only one left of Bravo team that's not accounted for." Chris said, a bit surprised that she knew about Kevin. They had told him about Edward's death and him becoming a zombie.

"Yes.. Rebecca." Bec said turning to her.

"You need to drug Richard." she said.

"Why?" she asks, surprised.

"When he gets better, you two will go to the residence, a big guardhouse, that's nearby. You spilt up and he somehow gets down to the aqua ring, an underground water lab. There are mutated sharks in there and when we arrive there, he will sacrifice himself to save us." Bec reveals.

"All right. I'll make something that will knock him clean out. Thankfully, this room has all drugs I need. To think, I'm grateful to Umbrella right now." Rebecca said, waving at the medicine cabinet.

"Just make sure it's not something that will change him into a zombie. To think, a virus caused all this." Chris was a bit taken aback that a virus did all this damage.

"I will. I'll stay here for now and keep an eye on him. Then once he's not in the danger zone anymore, I'll drug him." Rebecca said.

"Before he went to sleep, he gave me his radio. It's a modified one. So, let's hope that we can pick up something with it." Chris said.

"Where to Bec?" Chris asks, turning to her.

"We should stop by the small storage room. It's by the door that connects with the f shaped corridor. The one you couldn't open before." she said. Rebecca hands her the herbs she took from the pillar room.

"We have a couple of old keys now. Let's go." Chris said.

As they head to the door, Rebecca calls after them, "Remember, I'll be here for awhile. If you get hurt, come here."

"Yes." Bec said, shutting the door.

She and Chris arrive back at the door and unlock it, the key breaking. They head in and look around. Bec find another battery pack and two grenades grenade.

"I'll take the grenades." Chris said and Bec hands them over to him.

"Let's wait till later, before I show you how these work." he said, placing them on his belt.

Bec then fills up her canister with fuel and then she grabs the broken shotgun. "This will help us with the other shotgun." Bec said putting it in the bag.

"Bec.. How do we find Enrico?" Chris asks.

".. We won't run into him for awhile, I'm afraid." Bec answers. 'I don't know if the elevator, in the underground part, will work right now.'

"Is he here in the mansion? Or the residence?" he asks.

"Neither." she said.

"Ok, are Wesker and Jill safe?" he asks.

"..Yes." Bec said. 'Jill is safe, but not in the way Chris is probably thinking.'

"Good. We're done in here, where should we go next?" he asks.

"The dining room. We need that wooden shield that's above the fireplace. We take it to the bar room." she said.

"Let's move." he said. He was about to open the door, when Bec grabs him by the arm.

He looks at her, "Chris, let's not say anything to Wesker or Barry, when we run into them, about Umbrella." she said.

Chris is confused. "Why?" he asks.

".. There's not enough proof. Let's wait until we find something substantial in this place." she says.

"..Ok." he said. While Chris was confused as to why Bec would want to wait, Bec knew it would be for the best.

'If we tell Wesker, he'll try to take the papers from me and destroy them. If we tell Barry, he'll tell Wesker and he'll order him to take them. Sadly, he is under Wesker's thumb.' Bec wanted the papers kept for evidence.

"One last thing, please don't say I know this place. They both will want details as to how and right now, we need focus on escaping this place." she said.

"Your right, I won't say anything." Chris promises. He knows that Wesker especially will want answers.

They leave the room, and get back to the tea room. Chris goes into the dining room and grabs the wooden shield, heading back to Bec and they head into the bar room.

Bec gets over to the small hall and pushes the self out of the way and grabs the other half of the musical score. Arranging the score, Bec places it on the piano and plays 'Moonlight Sonata'.

The wall goes up, revealing the secret passage and Chris sees the gold shield in there. "So, I swap the wooden shield for the gold one? Fine by me." he said.

He goes in, placing the wooden shield on the side and grabs the gold one, which makes the wall come down, separating the two of them.

A moment passes and the wall goes up again, this time Chris had the gold emblem and the wooden shield is on the statue.

"I take it this shield goes where the wooden one had been?" he asks, coming over to her.

"Yes. Did you find a diary?" she asks.

"If you mean these papers, yes." he said. He holds it up and they read it.

Trevor's Diary

Nov. 24, 1967

Eleven days have past since arriving on this estate. How did I end up like this? A guy in a lab coat came with a plate of skimpy meal and said to me, "Sorry to put you through this, but it's for security reasons." That's when it hit me. It all makes sense now.

There are only two people that know the secret of this mansion, Sir Spencer and myself. If they kill me, Sir Spencer will be the only person that knows the secret.

But for what purpose? It doesn't matter now. It's too dangerous here. My family... I hope they are all right.
I've decided to escape... Jessica, Lisa, I pray you are safe.

Nov. 26, 1967

How could I be so careless? I lost my favorite lighter - the one Jessica gave me for my birthday. Now it's going to be that much harder to get out this dark place.

Nov. 13th, the date when my fate was sealed. My aunt was hospitalized just three days before that. Jessica and Lisa said that they were going to visit her. I wish I could be there with them.

But wait, even as I'm writing my memory is coming back to me more vividly. Just before I passed out, I remember the men in the lab coats said something like, "Most likely your family is already..." I pray for their safety.

Nov. 27, 1967

Somehow I managed to get out that room. But getting out of this mansion won't be as easy. I have to get past all the booby-traps. Tiger Eyes, Gold Emblem... I have to try and remember for my own sake...

"Who was this Trevor?" he asks Bec.

"George Trevor was a famous architect back in the sixties. He helped design this mansion, but he had discovered too late what the true purpose of it was." Bec said.

"Where do we go now?" he asks.

Bec pulls out the maps and points to the dining room, "We take the emblem here and after messing with the clock, we get the shield key. There's only one use for it and it's that door near where we found Richard and Rebecca." she said.

She then points to attic, "In there, is the snake that attacked the two of them." she reveals.

"... There is something important in there, right?" Chris asks, already knowing the answer. He knew that if they could avoid it, Bec would've said so.

"Yes, there's a mask in there. We grab it and then get out, we can deal with the snake later. Then we go into this room." Bec said, now pointing to where the armor room is.

"The third mask is in there. To get it, we need to push suits of armor in a certain order." she continues on.

Finally, she points to where three rooms are. "In these rooms, there is evidence, healing items and stuff that we should get, for it will help us in the long run." she finishes.

"All right, we'll focus on these rooms, then you tell us where to go, once we're done with them." he said as she puts away the maps.

"I will. Let's go." she said and they leave the bar room.

They enter the dining room and Chris places the emblem above the fire place, the clock opens up. Bec heads over to it.

"You know what your doing, right?" Chris asks as he follows her.

"Yes, I had a grandmother, who loved clocks like these." Bec said, turning the gears.

Once it hit six o'clock, it chimes six times and moves to the right, revealing the shield key. Bec grabs it and they for the main hall.

As they head up the stairs in the main hall, they run into Barry. "Barry! Haven't seen you for a while." Chris said as they go over to him.

"..Yeah. Glad to see you two are all right." he said. Bec could see he was a little more nervous then they last saw him.

"We're going back to the east side of this place. Wanna tag along?" Chris asks.

".. Sorry but I think I need to do another sweep of the place. I ran into some red skinned zombies in the art room downstairs and in the hall with mirrors. I got rid of them, but had a close shave." he said, holding up his arm.

To Chris and Bec's relief, it was a scratch, not as big as Richard's, but big enough.

"I also got rid of the dogs, in the hall beyond the art room." he said, bringing his arm down.

"We can use that hall again, if we have to. Thank you Barry." Bec thanks him.

".. Isn't that Forest's grenade launcher?" Barry asks. He sees it poking out of Bec's backpack.

".. Yeah, we found him." Chris then tells Barry what happened with Forest and how they found Rebecca and Richard.

"I see. Forest is dead, but Richard and Rebecca have been found. Rebecca has confirmed that Edward died... Any word on Enrico?" he asks.

"Nothing yet, but we're bound to run into him sooner or later." Chris said. 'When Barry arrived at Raccoon City, Enrico took him under his wing. I know he's worried about him.'

".. Barry, you should probably go to Rebecca. Let her look over your arm and treat you." Bec suggests. She knows that having Barry talk to Rebecca might be a risk, but she believes that Rebecca will keep quiet, for now about her.

"I don't think it's that's necessary, but I'll keep it in mind. Here." he hands them acid grenades.

"I found those as I was exploring. There better off with you." he said.

"Thanks." Chris said as Barry heads to the west side doors.

"Take care!" Bec calls after him. She and Chris then head to the east doors.

Chris now knows, Bec knows stuff

Do any of you think this is too soft?
