kimberly had realized that this duplicate of sage was walking incorrectly. "am i?" the duplicate of sage asked her.

"you know, maybe we don't have to go that whole homecoming thing..." the clone of sage told her that it was because she walked funny. "it was because you were thrown and beaten up like a piñata."

"kimmy, look at me! i still have my limbs and i'll be fine. we should go to this weirdly important dance together."

"and to just forget about everything?"

"no... to make it a night to remember," kimberly asked her girlfriend since when she got so cheesy, calling her sageheart. "since when was i not cheesy?" their faces got close, ready to kiss one another, but zack, trini, and jason were welcoming sage back to angel grove's high school. jason told her how she felt. "i'm great actually, i missed you guys, cheerleading, and school."

"i'm sorry, you missed school?! which school did you miss? if you say this one, i will say that the monster had messed with your brain." zack told the duplicate of sage.

"no. the monster didn't mess with my brain, zack. in fact, i'm fine! my cheer coach even gave me the chance to do competitive cheerleading!" kimberly started to comment on sage's safety. "oh don't worry about it, kim. because they've never faced off against sage before." the sage duplicate said, grinning evilly as the shadowed part of her face was that of a putty.

the real sage woke up, realizing that she was in space, she really hoped that she would've seen her home planet and ranger academy by now but she started to panic as she saw the two monsters taking her to rita repulsa, their empress. "why i am here?! what do you want?"

"everything. who are you, what you are, where you're going... your hopes, your secrets and your dreams." sage just told rita to bite her. "sage, i understand that you're confused but i'm actually not rita... i'm kimberly, your girlfriend, and that means you can tell me anything!" sage started to see kimberly.

"kim? how did you get here?! is this an illusion?!"

"it's okay, sage, i'm here and the evil witch has disappeared. listen to me... rita is trying to get you to betray us. do you know about any secrets about the group? secrets that if rita knows about, she will use them against us?" sage weakly agreed to the question. "you're doing a great job at being brave. now ask the question quickly before rita comes back. tell me what they are..."

"uh okay... but if i do, they're never going to forgive me!"

trini and the duplicate of sage were practicing for the competitive cheerleading. they were almost done with their training session until the duplicate of sage did a backflip that the real sage possibly couldn't done. trini smiled at sage, saying that she was surprised that sage learned that.

inside the girls' locker room, they were talking about sage's incident from angel day and then who's going to ask trini to the homecoming party. "i mean... you are going to ask jason to the dance, right?" trini started to blush. "come on, you had a crush on him since like... forever." trini disagreed, saying that jason and her were just friends.

"everyone knows about your little crush on jason. everyone!"

"everyone?" sage started to apologize to trini about her springing all this mess on her. "no, it's fine, uh, thank you... i'll just go talk to him, or something."

"trini, can i give you some friendly advice? maybe don't say anything. calling him out on this, it's a little embarrassing and it could make things awkward. for everyone, you know?"

"i know but..." trini got cut of by the clone of sage.

"do you like him, as in like like."

"i've never thought about it but it's jason."

"just make sure you don't hurt him."

"i get it. thank you sage, for the advice and all that. you're a good friend!" sage gave trini a thumbs up and then left for class.

arrival day, plus sixteen:

sage and her younger sister, fern, were separated from their father. before they were going to get jumped by putties, sage told fern to run. the duplicate of sage's face changed slightly as one side of her face became the infiltrator putty.

"stop! the plan has changed, go help goldar." sage's face turned back to normal again as she found the black ranger asking her if she was okay. sage lied, saying that they were scared by him and thanked him for saving her. the black ranger told him to get somewhere were she could be safe.

the power rangers were going to fight goldar until sage hit the monster with her father's car, telling the rangers to look out and apologizing to goldar. the blue ranger weakly asked if that was a mini-van with the yellow ranger asking if he was okay. "rangers, until next time." sage got out of the car, asking the rangers if they won the fight.

the real sage was offered food by squatt and baboo but it looked gross so she kicked the food off of squatt's hands, yelling at them to get rita to feed sage herself. squatt and baboo got annoyed with sage's behavior and they agreed that humans were foolish.

"it's no big deal, guys. anyone would do that."

"i heard you rammed a car into a monster!" jason told the duplicate of sage.

"actually, it was my father's mini-van," kimberly and billy then talked to sage. "heh, well, maybe the rangers will make me an honorary member of the power rangers!"

"we have to speak."

"may you guys please excuse me for a minute?" sage walked outside of the youth center and into the alleyway, apologizing to rita repusla, calling her empress, sage then said that she feared that one of the rangers was finding her suspicious. "I acted only to alleviate suspicion from the rangers," rita told the duplicate of sage that the attack was only supposed to make her the victim and not the hero. sage told her that the rangers responded well. "the higher the status is, the greater my influence on them takes over. goldar could've killed the blue ranger but i can give you all five of them." rita told the sage duplicate that she spent too many time with the rangers.

"never forget who you are and who you obey."

"yes, my queen. victory will be yours." sage said, looking down onto the ground.

at the competitive cheerleading contest, sage's cheermates and sage herself were all competing against another cheerleading team named the cerise wolfs. sage and her team won the competition by sage's killer moves. trini and zack started to talk to each other about this sage and how she different from the sage that they know and love. "so, do you want us to tell kim?"

"not until we know for sure what's going on."

at the end of the competition, kimberly congratulated sage on the win and before she could kiss her, she apologized to her girlfriend and told her that she had to go to the girls' locker room. "see you later, though, okay?"

"uh, yeah, sure!"

"hey kim, i know that i missed the cheerleading game but i was thinking about our mutual problems. and i think i have the solution!" kim asked if billy was okay. "i'm fine, it's just that, you know you want to protect sage, and i want to help the team, well i think that sage should be the new blue ranger."
