**4 years later**

A year after that night in Beca's hotel room Chloe's life had become complicated. When she got home after Beca yelled at her she broke down crying. She was unsure of her feelings for Beca and sleeping with her just made things more complicated. She decided not to tell anybody about that night, not even Aubrey. Her heart and head were constantly fighting, and she was exhausted.

Chloe's heart knew she was in love with Beca, but her head was constantly telling her that she doesn't like women. Chloe focused on vet school, and she was in an occasional relationship. She never loved the person she was with, she barely liked them. Things were getting more and more complicated, and she didn't know what to do. All she knew is the sex was never as good as the morning after with Beca.

Chloe's grades started slipping and her friends noticed she was on a path to self-destruct, Aubrey stepped in and tried to help. Her blonde best friend convinced her to seek therapy and so Chloe did. For the next three years Chloe was focused on school and had her therapy appointment. The therapist helped her recall the night where she slept with Beca. Everything came rushing back to her, especially the part where she kissed Beca. That Chloe was the one who started everything and not Beca. Because of this her therapist helped Chloe realize that she was in love with Beca Mitchell. Once Chloe accepted that it felt like a huge weight was lifted off her shoulders.

She tried contacting the small brunette to talk about everything but quickly found out Beca changed her number. Chloe doesn't blame Beca for changing her number and not telling her. Chloe remembers that morning clear as day. She knew Beca would never take advantage of her in a million years. She was just scared of how she was feeling at the time and didn't know what to do. She didn't realize what everything meant, and she screwed up her chance at being happy because she wasn't willing to accept that she might be gay. She knew she was at least bi since she still found some men attractive.

Chloe had graduated and got many job offers since she was in the top of her class. She still thanks Aubrey every day for helping her not fall too far into a black hole. Finally, Chloe accepted a job offer in LA because it was with a good company and the pay was great. She was also hoping she was going to run into Beca eventually but had no idea where the brunette lived.

Beca on the other hand after that day she focused even more on work. The album was released, and it was a hit, just like everybody anticipated it would be. It took her almost a year after the release before she agreed to do a tour because honestly, she didn't want to do one. The tour was a good one, she had sold out concerts every night and they even tacked on some international dates.

When that was over Beca went into producer mode. She knew she had to make one more album but was trying to put it off as long as she could. She was slowing writing songs for the next one, but she didn't tell anybody, mainly because they were still about Chloe. She missed the redhead at times, but she was really hurt with what Chloe had said. She wasn't sure why Chloe would ever say that, and she knew if she wanted closure, she should talk to her, but she wasn't going to.

Jesse and Olivia got married three years after that fight with Chloe and Beca was so excited for them. What she didn't expect was to meet somebody at the reception. He was a friend of Olivia's, and he was an engineer. His name was Ross, and the two of them spent the whole night just talking. They went out a few times after that, and by their fourth date asked Beca to be his girlfriend.

Beca agreed and the two have been dating ever since. They took their relationship slow because neither wanted to rush into things. Beca was always busy but made time for Ross when she could. She felt like she could tell him anything so one night she decided to tell him about Chloe.

"So, Chloe was your best friend, somebody you were in love with for years?" Ross asked for clarification. "Yep, then one night we got really drunk and slept together. She accused me of taking advantage of her because I was in love with her, and I told her to get out of my life. I haven't seen or spoken to her since that night." Beca said with a heavy heart.

"Well, it sounds to me that either she is a complete bitch, but I doubt it from everything else you told me about her. The second is that she wasn't sure how to deal with her own feelings at the time and just lashed out at you for no reason. That she had to come up with an excuse of why you two would sleep together." Ross stated as a matter of fact.

Beca thought it over, and it could be possibly, but she wasn't sure, so she changed the subject. "Let's not talk about Chloe anymore tonight. What are you doing this weekend?" Ross sat back and said "You know how I've been thinking about adopting a dog for a while. Well, there is this place that is a vet office, but you can also adopt pets there. I am planning on going to look at the dogs and pick one up. I've already been looking online, and I found a couple I really like. Would you like to come with me?" Ross offered.

Beca thought about it, and they had talked about getting a dog together, but Beca wasn't quite there yet. She was thankful that Ross was stating it was going to be his dog. "Sure, I'll come with you. When do you want to go?" Beca answered as Ross was getting ready to leave. "I was thinking Saturday around 1pm. Would that work with your schedule?" Ross asked her again.

"Yea, that should be fine. I need some time off anyway so I might take the day." Beca said as she walked Ross to the door. "Sounds perfect I will pick you up around 12:30 and we will head over." Ross replied as he leaned in to kiss Beca. "I can't wait" came Beca's quick retort. The two said goodnight and Beca got ready for bed.

That Saturday Ross came to pick up Beca like he promised, and they were on their way to the vet's office. They stopped and grabbed some lunch before they arrived. The place was called Save and Rescue Vet Clinic. They two walked in and was greeted by a young receptionist who walked them back to where the dogs were. The two stayed and played with the dogs for about an hour until Ross decided.

"I think I'm going to take this little girl home." He said to the receptionist. "Sounds good I will get the paperwork ready, and I'll meet you out front." The young woman replied and left. "She really is a cute dog; I wonder why nobody wanted her." Beca thought out loud. "Their loss is my gain." Ross said excitedly. The two walks towards the front and Ross started to fill out the paperwork. A few minutes go by before another person enters the room.

"Janet, I will need the paperwork for Ms. Smith's cat do you, have it?" The other woman said as she entered the room. Not noticing the other two people in front of her. The other woman looked up and dropped her clipboard surprised to see who was in front of her. "Beca?" the woman said.

"Chloe" was all Beca said before she turned around and walked out of the building.
