Jujutsu Kaisen finally ended and damn, I'm going to miss it. Despite all its flaws and controversies, it's definitely one of my favourite animangas and inspirations. The fights basically defined my taste for fights in general now and it gave me a newfound appreciation for choreography. Seriously, I want to draw fight scenes so badly because of JJK, along with Sakamoto Days and The Ember Knight/Epic of Gilgamesh which have excellent choreography as well.

Also, I'm definitely a part of the group that thinks JJK could've used some more downtime to expand on the world and characters. But I still fuck with the characters a lot and the emotional moments really resonated with me for some reason. Like, without too many spoilers, the "It'll be lonely without you." moment, Higuruma's backstory, Choso's regret for the path he chose, etc. Muah. Chef's kiss.

I could go on for a while but that's enough glazing from me now. So, I'll end it by saying that Jujutsu Kaisen was, if nothing else, truly fun.

Chapter 22: Grey Play

A silver stone soared high into the sky.

The peak of its ascent gifted it a beautiful view of the entire area for a single moment. The Emerald Forest, the morning horizon, Beacon Academy and more than it could ever dream of seeing.

But it was not to be. The piece of rubble was not meant to fly, and so it fell. In a few seconds, it will crash into the dirt and shatter into a dozen pieces as punishment for its hubris.

However, before it could return to where it belonged—

Talon's Embrace

The stone was slashed from three sides and it touched the ground in only three pieces.

Gin stood there in his thrusting pose for a few more seconds, the three arcs of Aura slowly dissipated inches away from each other instead of crashing into each other as they usually did. When they fully disappeared, Steel Seer flourished before returning to its sheath, allowing Gin to relax and release his breath and his Aura Realm.

Suffice to say, Gin has mastered the Talon's Embrace. And it hadn't been long before he started. He even went further with it by being capable of using it simultaneously with the Realm while also stopping the Arcs from colliding with each other. If it had, then the impact would've shattered the rock.

A similar effect could've been done by making the arcs faster than one another which would've allowed them to pass each other and divide the rock into 6 pieces instead. But that was too easy, even easier than the original. Plus, the arcs moving at the same pace would be much harder to block or evade.

Thoughts of this Aura technique soon branched off into other possible techniques and whether Gin could manifest them into reality.

He contemplated on it for a few seconds before he drew his sword and held it with both hands in a steady stance. If he wanted to create new Aura Techniques, then he should begin by using the principles of previous techniques.

In fact, maybe he should go a step further and take inspiration from a non-Aura technique. One such technique appeared in his mind like a flash of lightning.

Tsubame Gaeshi. The Sasaki Clan's prized technique that Gin could never achieve himself. It wasn't something he liked to admit but it was a sore point for him so in the past, he would spit on it and refused to ever even attempt it. He told himself that it was a wasteful technique with a hundred better alternatives. Sure his aunt liked using it a lot, but she was a beast who could use it in a much better way to the point that it may as well be a different technique. Only now did Gin truly see how foolish and bitter he was being.

Regardless. Perhaps he could now use the Tsubame Gaeshi in a way…

He brought his sword above and behind his head. A grossly telegraphed posture for an overhead strike, to the point that one would suspect it to be a feint.

And they would be right. Except not in the way they were expecting.

Concentrating Aura on the blade, Gin prepared an Aura Arc. When he brings the blade down, a trail of energy would form and immediately shoot forward to slash anything in its path. At least, that was what usually happened. Instead, when he brought the blade down, the Arc shot out of the spine towards the sky and in the opposite direction of the strike. A true mimicry of the Tsubame Gaeshi that performed the same purpose, but this one didn't rely on physical prowess and instead on Aura control.

Gin released his stance again and inspected the sword instead of sheathing it this time. A grin bloomed on his visage, thrilled from the fact that his idea actually worked. Well, in theory anyway. This technique would require more refinement because the Arc's speed was terrible compared to a normal one. It wasn't as sharp either because of the spine.

This was because Aura Arcs used the sharp edge of blades as a sort of blueprint for their shape. It meant that if a blunt weapon was used for an Aura Arc, then the Arc would be blunt as well. But this was uncommon for several reasons. One of them was that it costed much more Aura for a blunt Arc to be as effective as a sharp Arc that contained less Aura.

Anyway, Gin wondered if switching the edge of the blade would keep the Arc sharp. But then, it would become an obvious tell of this technique that a sharp opponent could pick up on it…

Wait a minute, Gin suddenly thought of something. Would the baiting part of this technique even work against Grimm?

Most were just mindless beasts who just attacked to kill so Gin doubted that they would even know what an opening even was, making feints useless on most of them. But before that, Gin realised that he had only been thinking of other humans when he developed this technique. Since he was… aiming to be a Huntsman first now, perhaps Grimm should start being his first priority now as well…

Yes. Gin grunted and nodded to himself. That will be his course for now. Forging himself to be more effective against those abominations. And before new Aura Techniques, he should probably consider gaining something essential to Huntsmen. Even if it felt so utterly wrong to use anything remotely similar to it.

Ruby squealed in delight with her hands cupping her cheeks, "You want to use guns now?!"

Gin looked like he swallowed something particularly sour.

There was still time to change his mind. Just because he was trying to become a proper huntsman now doesn't mean that he had to actually start using firearms. Even Miss Goodwitch and the freaking Headmaster didn't use them. So, he could still be adequate even if he—

No.

What the hell was he even thinking? He wasn't sure why he was so averse to them anyway. Was it seriously the influence of the clan? Damn it.

"Uhh Gin?" Ruby's voice brought his attention back. She had her head titled with a befuddled expression.

Gin shook his head to regain control of himself, "Right sorry." He coughed before he continued, "And yes, I want to try my hand at using guns. So I wanted to ask for your help because, among my friends, you're the best when it comes to knowledge of all sorts of weaponry."

Ruby's enthusiasm returned and she nodded rapidly, "Yep, that's right! You came to the right person. I'll definitely help you, Gin." She grabbed his hand that was holding Steel Seer and pulled it towards herself to begin inspecting it with a hungry eye. "In fact, I would have begged you to let me help. I've actually had like, thought experiments about how you could upgrade your sword. And I think I know the perfect mechashift and gun that will fit your fighting style."

"Wait, wait. Hold on," Gin interrupted her and gently pried his hand away from Ruby to cradle his precious partner. "I uh, appreciate your enthusiasm, Ruby. But I was only asking for advice on firearms. Steel Seer is already perfect as it is so I'm not trying to modify it. Besides, what if that damages it?"

"Awww. Don't be like that," Ruby pouted. "Mechashift weapons are the greatest things that mankind has ever invented."

Gin raised a brow at that. "But they are tools of violence."

"Yeah, so?"

"Uh. Nevermind."

"Anyway, It's a crime. No, a sin if you don't use mechashift weapons when you can," She continued. "Besides, the mechashift idea I have is simple. And I'll craft it myself. I have lots of experience with tinkering like that so I'm pretty good at it. You trust me, right Gin?"

The little Huntress deployed her deadliest move. The Puppy Gaze.

Fortunately, the effect of this deadly weapon wasn't as strong on blind people who usually could only be affected by the heartbreaking tone and words that came along with the gaze.

On the other hand, Gin was utterly weak towards children in general. So, even that was enough to make him cave and give his sword to her even as his hands trembled.

"Yippee!" Ruby started skipping in place and took the weapon. But Gin didn't let go. She tried to pry and pull it from his hands to no avail.

"Please treat her with the utmost care," Gin pleaded pathetically while Ruby took a foot out of her shoe and pushed it against his thigh to use as leverage without dirtying his pants. And yes, her socks were absolutely clean thank you very much.

"Of course!" Ruby replied through gritted teeth. She had taken the other foot out so she was now basically standing on his thighs, trying to pull the sword out of his hand. Gin had the presence of mind to coat it with Aura so it didn't get damaged from the exertion of force from two Aura users.

"Don't worry Gin," She continued. "When I'm done with this baby, you'll get her back better than it ever was."

He didn't look convinced.

Crud, Gin was stronger than Ruby thought. Because even though he was struggling too, he was still only using one arm while she was using her whole body. Looks like she had no choice but to do what she did against the stronger Yang whenever they were wrestling over something.

"Oh wait, I just remembered something," said Ruby. She stopped pulling and got her feet back into her shoes on the ground. "I can't work on your weapon today, and maybe tomorrow too. Me and my team have to go out for uhh girl stuff."

Gin gave a smile and relaxed as well, "Oh well, that's a shame but no matter." He loosened his grip when she released the blade and he sighed with relief.

But then Ruby suddenly grabbed it again and swiftly pulled it out of his hands while his guard was down. Then she flew away with her Semblance while yelling, "I didn't lie about anything I said, Gin! I promise to give her back as soon as I can!"

Hence, Gin was left in her dust, or rather, her red petals with his mouth agape and his hands empty.

A deep sigh was released over the music of the now-familiar nightclub.

Gin was slumped back on the couch of the VIP floor, empty eyes gazing at the ceiling. He was already missing Steel Seer.

There were no orders given to him to come here, he hasn't received any new orders at all really and he's made no progress on his current task either, but he needed to maintain his cover of a part-time job to his friends. Plus, Junior and his crew always treated him well so he figured he could come here to help with anything as payment.

Though, Junior didn't have anything that he didn't already have handled so Gin had to be content with an agreement to assist if anybody caused trouble in the club. Ironically the same job he claimed to Jaune and Lizzy that he had. But the night was too young for the club to open so one of the twins invited him to hang out on the upper floors.

"A glass for your thoughts?" Melanie asked playfully, arriving while holding two glasses of wine.

"Thank you," Gin accepted the offer and took a sip of it.

Melanie joined him on the couch and took a sip as well. Gin had said that he didn't like getting drunk so she got them a weak drink. "So come on, tell me what's bothering you."

"To be honest, a lot of things. But right now?" He sighed again. "I miss my sword."

"Oh? Did it get stolen?"

"No. I… gave her to a friend to have it… modified."

Melanie wasn't quite sure what to say when Gin made that sound like he abandoned his children to the wolves.

"I feel like I'm less of a person now…"

"Right…" Melanie said awkwardly. She thought about trying to comfort him physically but Gin had put his foot down when he got a girlfriend so he no longer tolerated their advances.

A shame really. Because the twins ironically found that loyalty more attractive and made them want him beyond just Junior's request. Although, Melanie suspected their reasons for finding that attractive were wholly different. She thought that it was really sweet and endearing while Militia saw it as a challenge.

Still, Melanie knew when to restrain herself so she wouldn't push or she'll risk pushing him away. The same couldn't be said for her sister though so Melanie will have to keep an eye on her when Militia joins them later.

Goodness. Why do I always have to be the responsible twin? Melanie thought with a sigh.

Suddenly, Gin lost his depressed demeanour and straightened in his seat. Melanie was about what was wrong when a commotion came from downstairs.

"Damn it. Xiao-Long is here again," Gin muttered.

That immediately put Melanie on high alert and she rushed to get a view of below.

Melanie scowled when she saw the blond bimbo. And she brought some friends too, probably other Huntsmen-in-training if it wasn't already obvious with their weapons. But Melanie pushed her worry down, they had been planning for exactly this type of situation. Now, it was time for it to pay off.

"Hey, Ginnn~" Melanie called for him with a tone filled with honey.

"Yeah, I get your meaning. I'll handle them if they start something," Gin spoke with a casual wave before finishing his drink and getting up. Melanie grinned viciously at the sight of him moving to go get his outfit discreetly. Roman made him keep the grey coat and cane-sword but Gin didn't want to bring them to the academy so he stored them in the club with Junior's permission, allowing him to access them along with something else that he recently bought…

Gin had secretly prayed that they didn't cause any trouble because Xiao-Long was already suspicious of him and he didn't want to add anything more to it. So, if it came down to it, he'd have to blackout them and send them in a taxi or something without violence. But maybe he could do something extra. Something that might mitigate Xiao-Long's suspicions which he had been thinking of for a while now.

It involved that voice modulator mask he bought, the one he had been planning to use when he did work for Roman from now on but he hadn't been able to use it yet due to not being called for anymore.

Admittedly, he was pretty disappointed by that because the mask was really fucking cool. Err, not that that was the reason why he got it or anything. It was purely for practical reasons such as reducing the risks of his identity being discovered as much as possible.

And now was the perfect chance to use it. Along with playing a little performance inspired by a certain thief. But he would definitely not be able to do it completely sober so it was fortunate that he drank that alcoholic drink.

0-0-0

Yang sashayed into the club, an easy grin on her face as the lights blared while the goons glared. They didn't seem to appreciate her arrival very much for some reason. Their loss.

But behind her bravado, she was glad for their nervous looks because it helped ease her own nervousness. As much as it pissed her off to admit it, she was no match for Hood and his Semblance. The only reason she had been able to even get a hit in last time was because of the idiot's cockiness. But Yang doubted that even he would be stupid enough to let his guard down a second time if they fought.

Even the person who came as her backup wouldn't really be able to do much. Neptune Vasilias. The friend and teammate of Sun Wukong who wanted to help their team with their plans to finally try and do something about Roman Torchwick and the White Fang, much to Blake's delight.

At the moment, their plan involves 3 parts. Ruby and Weiss getting dust shipment records from her SDC company. Blake and Sun would infiltrate a White Fang gathering that was used to recruit other faunus into their cause. The two of them were visibly faunus so they could get past the security. Meanwhile, Yang and Neptune came here to find Hood, but if that didn't work, then get information about Roman and/or the White Fang from Junior.

"Long time no see, fellas," Yang challenged the men surrounding them with a smirk.

"What the fuck are you doing back here blondie?" These men parted the way for the head of their gang. Junior himself came to greet them with the twins at his back. "Didn't you learn your lesson last time?" He taunted.

Yang's smile faltered but she grinned through it with anger, "Oh you mean the time I kicked your collective asses? It was only that cheating runt that gave me trouble and according to him, he's not on your payroll."

Junior smirked and crossed his arms, "Yeah? Well, a lot of time has passed since then and good friends have been made in less."

Yang narrowed her eyes at that, "So, Hood works for you now?"

"Who knows," Junior shrugged. "But if you don't want to end up dismantled and sold for money like your ride, then I suggest you run along little girl."

"You did what to my ride?!"

"Whoa whoa," Neptune stepped in with his hands up. He had been content to let Yang handle this but things looked to be getting out of trouble. "Come on, Yang. Remember why we came here," He tried to reason with her.

Luckily, it seemed to work because Yang took a deep breath to relax herself. She knew that there were more important things to worry about right now. "We want information on Torchwick," She went straight to the point.

Junior raised a brow at that, "What makes you think that even if we had any information on him, I would offer it to you, even for a price? Like I said already, you're not welcome here."

Yang thinned her lips for a moment before an idea came to her. "… If I'm not welcome then I guess you would wanna kick me out," She began slowly before getting more confident as she went on. "But you don't have anyone here who can do that except for one guy, right?" She began to smile.

Junior didn't like where she was going with this.

"Hey, you know what? If you won't give us what we want, then we'll just have to talk to the guy who can. So, why don't you bring him out if he's even actually here."

Junior narrowed his eyes at her, "Listen here, you blonde little shit—"

A scroll interrupted him as it rang from his pocket. Junior took it out and seemed slightly surprised when he saw the caller. "What is it?" Junior answered it. "... Are you sure…? … Yeah, I guess I can do that… Alright then, I'll leave it to it."

The call was so out of place for this situation that Yang wasn't sure what to say for several seconds until Junior ended it. She opened her mouth to–

Blackout

Yang and Neptune's view suddenly changed, as if they had just teleported to a different location. Though they could both tell that they were still in the club, just on a different floor most likely.

"Well well well, if it isn't the precious little princess," An uncanny voice suddenly spoke. It was an artificial blend of a male and a female voice which immediately grabbed their attention as they turned towards the speaker who was balancing himself on the railings of this floor. "I thought bars would be too rough for someone delicate like you, especially after last time. What would your mommy say if she found out that you hadn't learnt your lesson."

Ember Celica deployed into their combat form. Yang got into a stance from both caution and anger at seeing Hood again. He was as Blake had described, losing his rain cloak and now wearing a grey longcoat with a hood. A cane was also being lazily twirled in one hand. But what Blake hadn't mentioned was the pure black mask covering his lower face in the shape of a demon's mouth. It was probably the thing responsible for distorting his voice and it was too eye-catching for Blake to just forget about so it was mostly a recent acquirement.

"Hood," Yang snarled.

The person in question tilted his head and poked his cheek in a somewhat feminine gesture, "Eh? I'm pretty sure I said I was Hoody though."

Yang furrowed her brows, there was something different about him from last time. "… Yeah, and I said it was a stupid name last time too."

He shrugged with his hands, "Oh well, I guess Hood sounds better anyway."

Folding his arms behind him with the cane, Hood hopped off the railing and began skipping to the beat of the music towards her and Neptune. He had followed her lead and held his rifle now.

"Maybe I'll even use that as an official name for my brand," He continued as he circled Yang and Neptune who covered each other's back as their training taught them. "It's simple yet effective. Though that means it's probably already taken so maybe I'll add something to it. What would you suggest?"

"Uh, Grey Hood maybe?" Neptune instinctively offered even though he wasn't sure what he was talking about.

"Hmm. Not bad but kinda uncreative… Eh, fuck it. It's good enough. Thanks for the help, mate!" Grey Hood spun again and threw a thumbs-up at Neptune who awkwardly nodded.

"What the fuck are you even talking about, you little shit?" Yang snapped at him.

"Oh, whoops. I didn't tell you, did I princess?" Hood halted his steps to spin on his feet before he faced the duo with a hand on his chest. "I'm a mercenary for hire!" He announced in a jubilance.

That took the two by surprise.

"What, like for money?" Neptune couldn't help but ask.

Hood threw his head and gave a laugh that sounded incredibly eerie thanks to that mask. "Yup. I want to say that's a stupid question but I'm still new to this biz so I don't know for sure if mercs get hired with anything other than money," He said cheekily to Neptune who flushed a little from embarrassment.

"So, that's why you're working for Torchwick?" Yang demanded to know.

"Yuuup," Hood answered while popping the 'P'. "I'm hella lucky that Mr. Roman was one of my very first employers. The guy is real fucking generous."

"Then where is he? What's he planning to do with all that dust?"

"Hell if I know. I don't ask questions as long as I get my money," Hood shrugged with his hands. "Besides, why the fuck would I even tell you any of that if I knew. I told you, I'm just starting out as a merc. I need to build a good reputation while standing out from the crowd."

Yang stared with even more anger and confusion than before. There was definitely something off about Hood since the last time they met. But it wasn't like they interacted or knew each other that well so she didn't know what it was that was so odd. Her suspicion of Hood and Suzume being the same person was beginning to falter too. Hood seemed way too… flamboyant to be that pipsqueak with his too-cool-for-school bullshit. Then there was the fact that Hood was moving close to them but she didn't feel the chill that came whenever people got into Suzume's Aura box thing. That thing would have explained how Hood was able to move so easily even though his eyes were covered by the hood.

Maybe this was all just an act to throw Yang off his trail but she wasn't really sure…

She shook her head. Now wasn't the time for that. Yang came here for a reason and Hood's real identity wasn't needed for that.

"You know that your employer is a wanted criminal right?" She asked him. "If I want to, I could have your ass arrested for being his accomplice. Especially since I know where your hangout is now, so I can tip the cops off. You could run but Junior will definitely get in trouble."

"The fuck are ya talking about?" Grey Hood asked with a teasing voice, even as distorted as it was. "I've never been anywhere near this bar in my life."

Both Yang and Neptune were completely confused by that.

"Uhh, you're standing right in front of us. In this… bar," Neptune awkwardly pointed out.

"Nah. No, I'm not," Hood shook his head.

They stared at him.

"Are you… are you trying to gaslight us?" Neptune asked in disbelief.

Hood snorted. "Gaslight? That's not even a real word," he laughed while shaking his head. "But for real though, ask anybody who works here if they've ever seen me and they will all suddenly have memory loss. Or do you want to use the security cameras? Too bad that they're really shitty and lose footage a lot for some reason. But I'm sure that Junior is doing his best to fix them."

"So what, you smug fuck?" Yang snapped, already having had enough of his stupid wordplay. "Me and Neptune have been recording everything you said on our scrolls the entire time. And they're being uploaded to the cloud as we speak so you can't even do shit to get rid of them anymore."

"Hah! What do you think I am, an amateur?" Hood pointed at himself. "Cause you would be right. But come on, even amateurs aren't that stupid."

Both of them stared before they realised what he meant and they reached for their pockets. Yang swore. Hood had definitely used his semblance on them back there so the first thing she should've done was check their equipment but she had focused too much on Hood himself.

"We'll be taking them as payment for the info you're getting from me," He laughed while throwing out a peace sign.

"What info?" Yang growled. "You haven't given us jack shit."

Hood wagged a finger at them, "Tsk tsk tsk. Kids these days are so ungrateful. Back in my days in Vacuo, we were considered lucky as hell to keep all our fingers when we messed with the wrong people."

Yang paused, This guy is Vacuan? But Suzume is pretty clearly– Fuck. Not the time for that.

"Huh," Hood titled his head at them. "I gotta say, I was expecting more of a reaction from you two about getting your scrolls robbed. Heh, and by rob I mean traded, of course. I know I'd be pissed if that happened to me."

"Yeah, well they weren't our real scrolls anyways," Neptune said with a shrug.

"Huh?"

Yang barked a laugh and smirked at him, glad that they finally got one over this jackass. "Those were just burner scrolls that we bought dirt cheap just in case something like this happens. You didn't think of that, did you? Hah! Maybe you amateurs really are that stupid."

Neptune quickly shook his head at Yang. He didn't think that taunting the guy who could freeze their minds was a good idea.

Hood eyed her for a moment for a few seconds before clicking his tongue. "Whateves. This doesn't change shit anyway. I'll give ya credit though. I thought you were really fucking stupid to come here looking for me without a plan. But I guess you you realised that you can't beat me so you did make a plan, even if it sucked. So, I'll designa— peg you as only stupid. You're welcome."

"You talk a lot of shit for someone who only has his semblance going for him!"

. . .

"Ya know what? Maybe you're right," Hood began as he remembered the intel Junior had revealed about Yang when she came up during a conversation they had. "But hey, at least I don't need to rely on a deadbeat mommy to get me outta trouble."

Blackout

A fist froze right in front of his mask.

"Heh. Fucking bitch," Gin smirked under his mask but his satisfaction didn't last long. He removed his mask and sighed before moving to the couch and slumping back on it.

Then he groaned into his hands. "Fuccckkk. That was so damn embarrassing. I wanna die."

He released his face and sighed harsher this time. Whatever. It had to be done so he couldn't complain. Surely, that would alleviate some of Xiao-Long's suspicions. It was pretty hard to consciously change his speech pattern. He had first thought of using a much rougher pattern with more slang but he had already spoken to Xiao-Long when they first met. So it was safer to just speak normally while using more slang than he usually did. He messed up a little at the end but it shouldn't matter too much. He sincerely prayed that it worked, otherwise it would mean that he acted like a fool for nothing.

Another Blackout refreshed the timer on these two.

Now all that was left to do was getting them into a taxi and sending them on their merry way. It should be easy with some help from Junior's men since it was possible to move the limbs of his Blackout victims even if they were really stiff. That meant that they could get these two into a sitting position for the car ride.

After that… maybe Gin would get some more drinks in. He didn't like alcohol, not due to being particularly averse or weak to it but because the last time he got drunk with Jaune in Ansel, he absolutely humiliated himself. But maybe it wouldn't be so bad this time if he didn't drink too much. He was really desperate to take his mind off the embarrassment from his earlier 'performance' right now…

Fucking hell. Tonight was supposed to be peaceful with nothing eventful occurring. Then Xiao-Long had to go and ruin it, just great.

Oh well, at least it was over now.

0-0-0

Not even 30 minutes later that night, Yang and her friends got into a highway battle with a giant mecha piloted by Roman Torchwick which ended in Team RWBY's victory and Roman's retreat.

However, none of that was made aware to Gin Gin who was quite preoccupied at the time.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

He was sitting as if he wanted to make himself as small as possible while apologising profusely. His entire face was red and his eyes were unfocused, obviously drunk.

The twins sat on both sides of him, cackling and cooing at the unexpected display of meekness.

Militia was having a blast busting his balls because he was usually more stoic than this, never outright reacting to either of their teasing and flirting. Now he was like an adorable little puppy. To be honest, it was a total turn-off for her and she definitely liked him better sober.

Unfortunately, it was the exact opposite for her sister who was smiling with a palm on her cheek and staring at the boy like a predator.

"Sheesh sis. You seriously got issues," Militia jeered.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Melanie replied, reaching and caressing Gin's chin.

"Awyawa," Gin spluttered incomprehensibly while on the verge of tears. "Please stop, I have a girlfriend. I'm sorry."

Okay, as much as Militia was enjoying this, she was going to have to keep an eye on her sister tonight. Especially, since the sisters were fairly drunk themselves. She didn't think Melanie would actually go through with what she was definitely planning in her head but it was better safe than sorry.

Good grief, Militia knew she was a bitch and she was completely fine with stealing a guy, but that didn't mean she would try rape someone hammered out of their mind. Unlike miss milf-wannabe over here. Militia pushed her sister's face back when the tongue got a little too close to his tears.

Ugh. Why do I always have to be the responsible twin? Mitia wondered with a sigh.

End of Chapter

My original plan for this chapter was to have Gin along with Roman at the Fang gathering for the fight scene that I talked about last chapter but I didn't want to take away Team Ruby's win this time, especially since it was their first proper team fight, so I decided against it. There was another reason for it too but you'll see it later.

Now, about the new Aura techniques. They had always been a part of the plan since I started this fic and I finally got to it. Something funny about it is that originally, I was going to give them Japanese names to correlate with the Sasaki clan's traditionalism and history. The language in Remnant isn't expanded upon by the creators so my headcannon was that Ozpin somehow made a single language be spoken by everyone on the planet. The non-English names in the show being remnants(heh) of past languages. And he did this with the goal of making humanity more united against the Grimm or something.

In the end though, I just gave the techniques English names for convenience's sake. And to seem less like a weeb than I already do lmao.

Also funnily enough, I have a legit reason for not uploading next week this time. My semester exams are next month and I need to start studying. Especially since I can't study shit unless I'm forced to. This means that I won't be able to upload next month at all. Ugh, I really need to get my shit together. This story isn't even good enough to excuse its monthly update schedule ffs…
