WARCRAFT IV -- CHAPTER 3 - Reign of the Damned 1 (Undead Campaign)

12. End of the Bargain

At that same moment, in the heart of the new Scourge fortress on Icecrown Glacier, the Lich King telepathically watches over his lieutenants in Lordaeron and is pleased with their early progress in invading the kingdoms of Gilneas and Stromgarde. The Crypt Lord Anub'arak and a vast army of undead stand in front of the Lich King heeding all of his words. The Dreadlord Varimathras is also present at the scene. With the Scourge fortress completed, Arthas shall fulfill his end of the bargain with Varimathras and grant him his promised reward for the defeat and capture of Sylvanas. Given the ongoing Scourge invasion upon Gilneas and Stromgarde, Arthas also intends to extend his grip over the whole continent of Northrend by sending his undead forces on Icecrown to spread out and take over the various regions on the arctic lands, and establish the major dominance of the Scourge.

Lich King: "Yes! They are doing well back in Lordaeron! Things are going according to my plans! Soon, the wretched mortal nations of Gilneas and Stromgarde shall fall to the wrath of the Scourge! Their nations shall be conquered. Varimathras, I will send you to aid in the invasion. My lieutenant, Titus, may find some trouble on taking the kingdom of Stromgarde by himself, but with your help, the Scourge can claim the nation. For your promised award, once you have conquered Stromgarde, the entire kingdom shall become yours to rule, Varimathras. This is my end of the bargain to you."

Varimathras: "So, this is my reward then? A fair bargain. Very well, I sha,ll accept it. I shall go to your death knight lieutenant, Arthas, and aid him on taking over Stromgarde that shall be rightfully mine in time! Yes, that sounds right! I will soon become the new ruler of the lands of Stormgarde!"

Lich King: "Secure our victory in Stromgarde, and the kingdom shall be yours to rule, Varimathras. Now that my stronghold here is complete, it is time for our forces here to take action as well. While our forces in Lordaeron launch their assault to take over Gilneas and Stromgarde, it is time that we spread out our warriors here to take over the other various regions throughout this entire continent."

Anub'arak: "A wise decision, my king. It is time for us to move as well here. What of your plans?"

Lich King: "Send out our warriors to scour the other arctic regions, Anub'arak. We will retake and rebuild those strongholds that we have lost in the past, and we shall also establish new citadels on the places that are yet to be taken by the Scourge! The entire mainland of Northrend belongs to the Scourge! These lands are mine to rule, always has and always will be! I shall have total domination of this land just as my other servants have complete control back over the continent of Lordaeron!"

Anub'arak: "Of course, my king! I will send our warriors and my trusted Nerubian followers to do your will! They will go and take over the other far places in this land in your name! The Scourge shall dominate Northrend! None shall stop us, King Arthas! All shall know your wrath and power!"

Lich King: "Death shall consume these entire lands, and the glory will be ours as I rule Northrend!"
