There's glitter on the floor after the party.
Girls carrying their shoes down in the lobby.
Candle wax and Polaroids on the hardwood floor,
You and me from the night before, but,
Don't read the last page.
But I stay when you're lost, and I'm scared, and you're turning away.
I want your midnights,
But I'll be cleaning up bottles with you on New Year's Day.
You squeeze my hand three times in the back of the taxi.
I can tell that it's gonna be a long road.
I'll be there if you're the toast of the town, babe.
Or if you strike out and you're crawling home.
Don't read the last page,
But I stay when it's hard, or it's wrong, or we're making mistakes.
I want your midnights,
But I'll be cleaning up bottles with you on New Year's Day.
Hold on to the memories,
They will hold on to you.
Hold on to the memories,
They will hold on to you.
Hold on to the memories,
They will hold on to you,
And I will hold on to you.

Harry and Hermione arrived at the Lily Potter School early in the morning, two days before their wedding, to start setting everything up.
Ron and Dan were already in the auditorium, listening to Luna give instructions on the plan that Hermione, Luna, and Pansy had devised.
Juliet walked in with Sirius behind her and threw her purse to the ground, "I want to see them!" she demanded.
Hermione turned around as Juliet rushed over.
"See what?" Ron asked, his wand levitating the lights onto the ceiling.
Hermione reached into her purse and pulled out a photograph, "We went for our first ultrasound yesterday. The doctor confirmed what Alicia saw. We are at eleven weeks. Muggle medicine can't quite confirm his gender yet, of course, but I believe Alicia."
Juliet's eyes welled up with tears as she looked at the black-and-white image. "I still cannot believe it."
"The doctor is very happy with how everything is going," Hermione smiled, "She says he's the size of a strawberry and is glad that my morning sickness is finally lessening."
As the ground gathered around, admiring the photograph, Pansy walked in with a large box, her face pale and drawn. Hermione frowned as she approached Pansy.
"Pansy, what's wrong?" Hermione asked.
Pansy hesitated, looking at the collected group, "I don't… it's not the time," she said, shaken.
"Pansy," Hermione said, taking her hand as Pansy set the box down, "What happened?"
Pansy took a deep breath, "Astoria… she's dead," she told Hermione, her eyes filling with tears, "The blood curse was stronger than anything the healers could do. They say it acted like muggle cancer, spreading rapidly when she was pregnant and weak. If she had sought treatment earlier, they might have been able to save her, but… it was just too late."
Hermione gasped, and Harry came up behind her. She turned to him, her voice heavy with grief. "Astoria didn't make it."
Harry inhaled sharply and kissed the side of her head. "I need to go see him," he said quietly. "Make sure, as his friend and boss, there isn't anything he might need."
Hermione nodded, "Tell him I'm thinking of him. I'd go, but I don't think it would be appropriate."
"I'll go. You stay here," Harry said, glancing over at Ron, "Ron, make sure she doesn't do too much."
Hermione frowned, crossing her arms, "I can make sure of that myself."
Harry smiled softly at her, his hand brushing her cheek, "I know you can, but I just want to make sure you're okay."
"Go," Hermione urged, "Be there for Draco and the baby. I'll be here."
Harry nodded and turned to Pansy, "Pansy, could you-"
"Come on, Potter. Let's go," Pansy interrupted, marching towards the doors with Harry following her.
Hermione watched them leave, her heart heavy as she instinctively touched her slightly rounded stomach.
"It won't happen to you, honey," Sirius said as he came up behind her.
Hermione looked up at him, her eyes filled with unspoken fears, "But you said there was a Black curse."
"The old families used to put curses in place to keep their bloodlines pure," Sirius explained gently, "But the Greengrass family was cursed with a blood malediction that had been in their line for generations. It's rare, but when it appears, it's deadly. Astoria must have known."
Tears welled up in Hermione's eyes as she thought of Astoria and the baby she left behind, "I didn't know her well. I should have taken the time to get to know her better. I should have…" Her voice broke as she wiped her tears, "Poor Astoria… and that poor baby," she said, glancing over at Teddy playing with Lorcan and Lysander, "He's in the same situation that Teddy was in."
"But he has Draco," Sirius reminded her softly, "He has his family, and Draco will need all the help he can get. Why don't you go home? We've got this covered. Luna and Pansy have been discussing the setup so much that we know exactly what to do. You need to take care of yourself and the baby."
Hermione let out a breath, nodding, "Okay," She agreed, "I'll head home. If you guys need me, let me know."
*~*~* December 31, 2007 (10 weeks along) *~*~*
It was one in the morning, the night before her wedding, and despite being already married to Harry, Molly Weasley had got her way. Harry stayed the night at the Burrow in Ron's old room, and Hermione couldn't sleep despite lying in bed for the last five hours. Throwing her covers off, Hermione stood up and slid on her shoes. Walking down the stairs, she didn't have to be quiet as Teddy was with Luna and Ron. Walking through the sitting room, she grabbed a handful of floo powder and went to step into the fireplace.
"Where are you going?"
Hermione screamed, dropping the floo powder onto the rug, making it char, as Ron sat up on the couch, "What are you doing here?"
"Harry asked me to stay here tonight to make sure you were okay," Ron said, "Where were you going?"
Hermione sighed, "I can't sleep. So, I was going to sneak into the Burrow and climb into bed with Harry."
"Mum shut the floo network down so you couldn't do that," Ron said, sitting up, "But I'll get you in there."
Hermione grabbed her coat as Ron put his shoes on, "Your Mum won't be mad at you?"
"You two are already married, plus I'm the best man. It's my job," Ron told her with a grin as he put his arm around her shoulders, "I swear you are getting shorter."
"No, I think you just became a giant," Hermione told him, making him laugh as they entered the back garden.
Ron wrapped his arms around her and disapparated them to the Burrow. Walking to the broom shed, Ron grabbed a broomstick and said, "Got it."
Hermione looked at him wide-eyed, "No way."
Ron grinned, "Only way in. If I know my mum, she is sleeping on that couch to make sure Harry doesn't sneak out and you don't sneak in. No one is watching the window."
She looked up at Ron's bedroom window on the second to the top floor. Even though the house had been improved years ago, Ron's room was still under the attic. A ghoul was no longer above his room, but he was still up towards the top. Closing her eyes, she looked at him, "You drop me on that old broom; you endanger your godson."
That is how, on the night of her wedding, Hermione found herself inside a bubble charm on the back of Ron's broom as he took them up to the second from the top floor of the Weasley Burrow home. Holding tightly onto Ron, she closed her eyes as they rose to Ron's bedroom window. Tapping on the glass, the light inside the room turned on, and Harry opened the window, "What the-"
"Shhh, move back and help her through," Ron whispered.
Harry smiled, "Hermione honey, you have to see to come in."
Opening one eye, Hermione took his hand. He picked her up under her arms and helped her through the window.
"Why does she have a bubble charm around her?" Harry asked, canceling it.
Ron grinned, "I have to protect my godson. Hermione couldn't sleep."
Harry pulled her to him, feeling her tremble, "Is that true?"
Hermione smacked him, "Yes, you cocky jackass, now I need sleep, or else I may fall asleep at our wedding."
Harry looked at Ron, "Are you leaving?"
"How is she supposed to sneak out?" Ron asked him as he expanded the bed.
Hermione looked at him, "Now, wait a minute, can't you just get the second bed inside here?"
"There is no room for a second bed with the double bed in here now," Ron told her, throwing himself on the bed. "Now it's king size, and there is no funny business with me in the bed."
Hermione looked at Harry and then sighed, "Let's just sleep. I'm tired."
Harry got into bed to be in the middle, and Hermione climbed into bed on the edge. Ron reached up and turned the lamp off.
Hermione settled into Harry's arms, comforted at last, and almost immediately started drifting off.
"If Rita were here now, we'd feed her wildest fantasies. The three of us in bed together," Ron commented.
"Ron, go to sleep," Harry and Hermione said together.
"Fine, fine."
"Ronald Weasley!"
Harry's grip tightened around her middle so she wouldn't fall off the bed as Molly's voice rang out.
"Fuck!" Ron yelled as Hermione heard something fall to the ground. She opened her eyes to see Molly standing at the door, her hands on her hips.
Molly looked at them, "I expected more of you three."
"Mum, they are already married!" Ron said, standing up, "And it's not like they did any funny business. I was in bed with them!"
Molly frowned and then looked at Hermione. "Hermione, you best be getting back to the house. I know the girls were supposed to be meeting you for lunch."
Pulling her robe closer to her body, she stood up, "Well, at least I don't have to go out the window this time." Hermione turned to Harry, "See you at 7?"
Harry grabbed her hand and went to pull her down for a kiss, but suddenly, there was a pillow between them. Frowning, she looked at Molly, who huffed as the pillow fell.
"Honestly!"
Hermione rolled her eyes, "See you at 7."
Walking down the stairs, Hermione huffed as Charlie appeared at his bedroom door, "Your mother is mental."
Theo appeared behind him laughing, "You tried to steal Harry Potter's virtue on his wedding night. You are a naughty, naughty girl."
Hermione finished scaling down the stairs with one finger waving in the air.
Hermione was sitting on the couch at home when her front door opened.
"Crashing the par…ty, Granger, seriously?! Are you sitting READING? On the morning of your wedding day?" Pansy asked as Luna and Ginny followed her into the house.
Hermione laughed, "What else am I supposed to do? Mum and Sirius have Teddy at their house. I snuck into the Burrow last night to get some sleep with Harry, but I got kicked out at 8:30, so I went and got breakfast at my favourite café. I went to Diagon Alley and did some shopping that I'd been putting off, stopped at Flourish and Blotts."
Pansy frowned, "So boring. Well, the fun has arrived! So get up off your arse and come with us."
After lunch at a fancy muggle restaurant that Pansy had picked, Hermione was nearly falling asleep as she sat back, a hand resting on her slightly rounded belly, even fuller because of the wonderful food, "Pansy, I might just not fit into my dress."
Pansy laughed, "Doubtful, you aren't even showing yet."
Hermione yawned, "I am to myself and Harry, but not by much." She rubbed her eyes and said, "We need to get out of here before I fall asleep."
"Looks like someone could use a nap," Ginny teased.
Hermione chuckled, "I think the baby is telling me it's time for a break. It was an amazing lunch, and now I'm ready to curl up and sleep for a week."
"Well, you're in luck," Pansy said, standing up. "You can relax and maybe even take a little cat nap and be pampered for the rest of the day."
Hermione raised an eyebrow, "Oh? What's that?"
"You'll see," Pansy said with a wink, "Come on, ladies, let's get going."
The group followed Pansy outside, where a sleek car was waiting with a private driver. Hermione rested her head on Luna's shoulder during the ride, briefly drifting off. When the vehicle stopped and Hermione jerked awake, she saw the sign Tranquil Essence Spa through the windows as she tried to shake off sleep.
"Surprise!" Pansy yelled, "I'm treating us all to a spa day. Massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, the works. Your Mum should be inside, too."
As the girls celebrated, Hermione yawned, "Pansy, thank you."
Pansy grinned, "Nothing but the best for my girls. Let's get inside."
"Hermione, Hermione darling."
Hermione slowly opened her eyes, feeling more rested than she had in weeks, "What happened?"
Juliet smiled, "You fell asleep through the whole massage. The masseuse came and got me to ask me to be in here with you, and they left about 15 minutes ago. I thought I'd give you a bit more rest time."
Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Hermione slowly sat up, "I think that was the best nap I've ever had."
Juliet helped her into the robe and out of the door where the rest of the girls were sitting waiting.
Pansy grinned, "Have a good nap?"
"Yeah," Hermione smiled.
"That's Good. Now, let's go get those facials and manicures done before we finish the day," Pansy told them.
The gentle hum of the spa's music filled the air as Hermione, Luna, Pansy, Ginny, and Juliet settled into their plush chairs. Their feet were submerged in warm, fragrant water that was quickly trying to pull Hermione back into the throws of sleep. The spa attendants were pampering their feet as they ate tiny cucumber sandwiches and drank herbal tea.
Glancing at her friends as conversation flowed easily between them, Hermione smiled. Ten years ago, Hermione would never have thought that she would be sitting here on her wedding day, her mother a muggle, Luna a pureblood Ravenclaw, Ginny a pureblood Gryffindor, and Pansy a pureblood Slytherin, all sitting together enjoying themselves, alongside herself, a recently discovered half-blood.
Pansy turned to Hermione, grinning, "Oh, I forgot to tell you. Rita is absolutely beside herself," Pansy said. "She is in an uproar and can't confirm or deny the rumours about your engagement. You should issue a statement saying you're not engaged to mess with her."
Hermione laughed, nearly spilling her tea, "That would drive her mad. Maybe I should just for the fun of it. But seriously, can we keep this wedding a secret?"
Ginny, who had been quietly sipping her tea, raised an eyebrow, "It will be interesting to see how long you can keep it under wraps. Did you make everyone attending the wedding sign something like the DA parchment?"
Hermione's eyes met Ginny's gaze as the beautician got up to get something, "You know me too well. Yes, I did. Though this time, I've at least told everyone what they're signing."
Juliet frowned, "What do you mean 'like the DA parchment'? What did you make people sign before?"
Hermione felt the blush creep onto her cheeks as she set her tea down and cleared her throat, "Well, back in our fifth year, we had this dreadful woman from the Ministry assigned to our school, an evil hag named Dolores Umbridge. She refused to let us actually learn, so Harry and I started a secret club to teach ourselves. We had to keep it a secret since she was trying to outlaw it. So I enchanted a parchment with a spell so that if anyone betrayed us, they'd be cursed with horrible acne."
Ginny grinned, "What your daughter isn't telling you, Juliet, is that the curse spelled out the word 'sneak' across the forehead of a girl that blabbed. And she still has it. I saw her as she was leaving Hogwarts, and it was still there, clear as day."
Juliet gasped, "Hermione Jean Granger!"
Hermione's blush deepened, "She deserved it! I would have removed it, but I haven't seen Marietta since, but honestly, she hasn't come to ask me either."
Pansy nearly choked on her tea, laughing, "Well, that's one way to keep a secret. I have to say, Hermione, you should have been a snake."
Waking into the school, Hermione walked down the familiar hallways to the transformed auditorium. Pansy opened the doors to reveal all her hard work. The auditorium had been transformed into an elegant wedding venue. Twinkling lights hung from the ceiling like shooting stars, helping the room's ambiance. An archway made of roses stood proudly at the altar where she and Harry would soon exchange their vows. The roses were so vibrant, and there were stunning displays of pinks and whites from the Potter's Garden.
Hermione gasped, her hand flying to her mouth, "Pansy, this is incredible. How did you manage to get all of these from the garden?"
Pansy grinned, "Harry and the elves handled it. The most beautiful ones are in your bouquet, which you still see soon enough."
Hermione stepped forward, her eyes trying to take in every detail. The tables were draped in simple white tablecloths. Each one had a vase filled with roses in the middle of a candelabra, which candles flickered gently. Gold chairs with white seats were arranged perfectly at the tables, and vines of roses and lights hung from the ceiling above each table for additional light.
"It doesn't even look like the school anymore," Hermione said in awe. "This is amazing, Pansy."
"I had some help. Harry's grandparents were married here, you know. His grandmother, Euphemia, was very happy to give me suggestions based on her wedding. It's been an honour to recreate some of the magic from what she remembered," Pansy told her.
Hermione asked Pansy, "Can you ensure their portraits can see the wedding? I think it's important to have them with us in spirit."
Pansy nodded, "Of course. Sirius also found some old portraits of Harry's parents that were given to them as a wedding gift. I've made sure they're in the front row."
Hermione wiped her eyes, "Thank you, Pansy. This means so much to me that you went to all this trouble."
"Now go upstairs to the music room. That's where I've set up hair and makeup for you. I'll bring the dress up in a little bit. I figured you'd want a bird's-eye view as people started to arrive. The invitations said to arrive by 6 for hors d'oeuvres and 6:30 for preparation for dinner, so hopefully, any late stragglers will be here by 7."
Luna stepped forward and offered Hermione her arm, "It's my honour to escort you upstairs, Hermione. Juliet, will you join us?"
Juliet nodded, and the three ladies made it up the grand staircase, leaving Pansy and Ginny to handle the final touches in the auditorium.
Luna hummed as they walked to the music room, "Everything is falling into place, just as it should. The stars are aligned perfectly for a wonderful evening tonight."
Hermione smiled, "It certainly feels that way."
Hermione gazed at herself in the mirror. Her hair was styled in elegant curls pinned back behind her ears, with a few loose curls to frame her face. Her makeup was not over the top, highlighting her natural beauty with simple and classic touches. In the reflection, she saw Pansy bring a large garment bag into the room in her arms.
"Glad, I timed it well. Looks like you are just done," Pansy said with a grin as she shut the door behind her.
Luna and Juliet turned and gasped. "The dress!" Luna said, excited as Hermione rose to her feet.
Pansy walked over to hang the dress hanger up, "Now, I hope you like it," Pansy stated, "It's a little late to change it, obviously, but I went with two choices. One a little showy and over the top, one more classic and lace. I'm hoping you love both; one can be for the wedding and the reception. First, I have to show you the reception dress, at least what I imagined as the reception dress. I may have gone a little crazy with the crystals, but I wanted a starry look with a floral touch. Now I'm worried it's too much," Pansy rambled, biting her lip.
Hermione stepped closer. "I'm sure it's perfect," she confidently said, placing her hand on Pansy's arm.
Slowly, Pansy unzipped the bag, and the room fell silent as she revealed a stunning nude-colored dress. "It's made of tulle instead of lace. I used silk thread with sequins, beads, and crystal stones. I had some crepe georgette silk extra from another order, so I made a robe to go over it," Pansy explained.
Hermione's breath caught in her throat as she looked at the intricate details of the dress, "Oh, Pansy," she whispered, tears in her eyes, "You put this together in just weeks? This is unbelievable."
"So, you like it?" Pansy asked.
Hermione nodded, "I love it."
Pansy smiled, "That's good, but I hope you also love the other one so that this can be your reception dress. Your wedding dress is all lace like you asked."
Pansy pulled out the first dress and hung it up to reveal a second one. This one was much simpler, still stunning, but an off-white lace strapless dress that would show off her blooming cleavage. It had a lace cape that swept over it, giving it a romantic look.
"Pansy, this is just too much. How did you have time to make both dresses?" Hermione asked.
Pansy blushed, "Well, the reception dress is an idea I've been working on. I also hope to sell the style after you wear it if you're okay with it. Your wedding dress has protective runes sewn into it, making the wearer appear thinner."
Hermione laughed as she touched the dress's lace, "You're amazing, Pansy. I'm honoured to wear these. They're both perfect."
Pansy's face lit up, "I'm so happy you think so. Now, let's get you into the wedding dress. It's almost time, and you might want to watch your guests come in."
As Luna and Juliet helped Hermione slip into her lace wedding dress, Pansy carefully laid out the reception dress for her to change into later. As she turned to the mirror for Juliet to zip up her dress, she swallowed hard as Luna came to stand next to her, "It's happening. I can't believe it's happening."
As Luna and her Mum got ready, she moved towards the auditorium balcony. Pushing the door open, she stepped onto the band balcony and smiled at the higher view of the lights and the flowers. From her vantage point, she could also see their guests beginning to arrive as they greeted each other.
A few minutes later, the door to the music room opened, and Luna stepped out onto the balcony, now dressed in her blush pink bridesmaid dress. She practically skipped over to her, "Has anyone arrived yet?" Luna asked.
Hermione nodded as her eyes scanned the crowd. "All the Weasleys are here, and Harry and my friends from America, Dale, Julia, Dane, and Josh, are all here. Neville and Hannah just came in with Dean and Seamus. They are talking with Padma and Dudley. Christopher is here, too. I hear children in the distance, so I think there are more people out in the school who just haven't made it inside the auditorium yet."
Luna smiled, "I'm so glad you arranged for childcare for everyone. It makes it so much easier for those who are parents."
"Well, I, of course, wanted Teddy here, and once the party begins, the kids can play in the indoor gym," Hermione explained, "I've set up a movie in one of the classrooms, and the first-year teacher and her sister are in charge. Her sister is young and single and was happy to make extra money."
The doors opened again, and Hermione spotted more familiar faces entering the auditorium. Daphne, Blaise, Theo, and Draco had all just arrived. Hermione sighed, "I'm surprised Draco is here with everything that went on with Astoria," Hermione said quietly.
Pansy stepped through the door behind them, "I told them the real reason for tonight. Only him, to see if he wanted to come for sure. He said he wanted to be here for both of you."
Hermione swallowed back the tears that threatened to overwhelm her as the doors opened again. She saw Professor McGonagall enter, followed by Hagrid, Sprout, Flitwick, Vector, and even Slughorn.
Juliet stepped out in her darker pink dress, "Is everyone showing up?"
Hermione nodded, "I see many of our Ministry coworkers—Opal is here with Robards. Oh, good. Swift and Holly are talking with Firenze and Bane."
Luna's eyes sparkled in the lights, "I love that you invited some magical creatures."
Hermione nodded, "I've gotten close to many of them through research, working with them, and advocating for their rights. It felt only fitting to include them in this."
Alicia, Lee, Katie, and Terry made their way through the doors and walked over to the members of Dumbledore's Army who had gathered. Hermione chuckled as she saw Seamus looking around as his voice carried up to the balcony, "Don't you think it's a bit weird that this is Hermione and Harry's party, and they aren't even here yet? Neither is Ron and Luna."
Glancing back as her Dad appeared at the door, he smiled, "Are you ladies ready?"
Hermione turned to him, "Of course."
The volume in the auditorium grew, and Hermione's eyes were drawn to Harry and Ron, who had just entered the room. Harry was dressed in a sharp dark gray tuxedo, and Ron in a tuxedo of his own. As if he sensed her gaze, Harry smiled and looked up toward the balcony.
Luna nudged Hermione, "We better head downstairs."
Hermione nodded, "We shall, but I need to find my shoes first."
Juliet laughed, "I just saw them."
"Baby girl, you look… breathtaking," Dan said as he helped her back through the doorway into the music room.
"Thank you, Daddy," Hermione smiled.
Hermione's heart raced as she carefully descended the staircase, her hand gently resting on her father's arm. As she reached the bottom of the stairs, she spotted Sirius standing near the closed doors of the auditorium, talking with Kingsley. A photographer was already at work, and after taking a few photos of her coming down the stairs, he lowered his camera and smiled at her.
"Hello, Hermione," he greeted, "I'm not sure if you remember me, but I am-"
Hermione tried not to cry, "Dennis Creevey," she said, "Of course I remember you. Thank you so much for taking the photos for us."
Dennis smiled, "It's an honour. If he were here, I know Colin would be over the moon. He always talked about the two of you."
Blinking back, the tears that threatened to spill, "He was such a wonderful person. Thank you, Dennis. It means so much to have you here today."
Sirius walked over to her, "You are breathtaking," he said as he leaned in and kissed her cheek.
Hermione closed her eyes as a sudden thought came to her, "Would you like to walk me down the aisle, halfway to Dad?"
Sirius shook his head, "Oh honey, I'd love to," he began, "But it's not my place." He glanced at Dan, "That's all for him. I might be your biological father, but he will forever be your dad. I don't want to take that away from him."
"Thank you," she whispered as she squeezed his hand.
Sirius looked at Dan and nodded. "I'll be right there in the front with your mother. I wouldn't miss this for the world. My godson and my… daughter," Sirius said as he turned to enter the auditorium as the doors opened.
"Mumma! You are so pretty!" Teddy said, his eyes wide, standing in his blue-gray tux.
Hermione bent down to his level. "Thank you, honey, " she said, kissing his forehead.
Ron, who had come out with Teddy, grinned, "Alright, big Ted. It's time for your big job. Are you ready?"
Teddy stood tall as he took the pillow with their rings on it from Ron, "I am ready."
Ron looked at Hermione, "Are you ready for this, Herms?"
Glaring at him, Hermione pushed him to the door, "Get in there and never call me that again."
Ron laughed as he escorted Juliet through the doors, signaling Pansy to start the processional. He left the doors open.
Hermione flinched as the microphone squealed in the auditorium.
"All right, Ron is back. Could everyone please take their seats at their tables? Thank you. Thank you for coming tonight. I am Pansy, for those who don't know. I haven't always been with this group of ragtag Gryffindors. They adopted me because of Hermione. Even though I wasn't friends with them in school, even a snake like me could see Hermione and Harry were meant to be together."
Hermione smiled as she heard people muttering, drifting out the doors.
"Oh, shush it up, or we will be here all night," Pansy said. "Anyway, this is the prank of the ages, and no one can tell because you signed the cursed document that Hermione made. Welcome to the wedding of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger."
Hermione laughed as classical music started, and Luna told Teddy to go ahead and follow the path of rose petals that had been placed on the floor. Luna followed him with her white rose bouquet.
"Ready, darling?" Dan asked.
"I'm already married to him, so yes," Hermione laughed.
Everyone went silent as she and Dan entered the doors. Walking down the petal-covered "aisle," their altar of an arch of roses stood at the end. Kingsley, dressed in deep emerald robes, stood before Harry in his tux, Ron and Teddy beside him. Harry's eyes met Hermione's, and the room seemed to disappear.
Dan kissed her cheek and smiled at Harry as he took his seat.
Hermione smiled at Harry, "Hey."
"Hey," Harry said.
"You may be seated," Kingsley stated. "Today, we gather here, under the watchful gaze of our ancestors." Hermione glanced at the portraits of Euphemia and Fleamont on the four chairs in front and at two new portraits of James and Lily in their wedding clothes beside them, smiling at them. "… join these two souls in the most sacred bond of marriage, a union blessed by the magic that binds our world."
Taking out his wand, Kingsley waved it in the air, and above their heads, ancient runes of blessing appeared, glowing faintly in the roses, "These rules are the vows of old generations. Passed down from witches and wizards long ago. As you speak them, you will bind your hearts, magic, and lives together."
Hermione handed her bouquet to Luna and took Harry's hands in hers. She held her wand in her left hand, and he had his in his left, the tips touching.
"I, Harry James Potter, bind my magic to yours, Hermione. In times of joy, I will share your laughter. In times of sadness, I will be by your side. As long as I breathe, my heart will be yours." Harry said, making the ruins glow brighter.
"I, Hermione Jean Black-Granger, bind my magic to yours, Harry. In times of joy, I will share your laughter. In times of sadness, I will be by your side. As long as I breathe, my heart will be yours," Hermione said as the ruins seemed to light the room. Their wands lit, showering the room with a cage of light as ropes of light appeared across their hands.
She glanced at her body, which glowed a brilliant gold, and Harry's glowed a breathtaking white. The band of gold on their hands sunk into their skin as the light enveloped their bodies. Hermione nearly lost her breath as she fell into Harry's arms, and he caught her. Kingsley smiled at them as the light faded, "By the power of ancient magic that flows through us all. I pronounce you bound my heart, by soul, and by magic. You may now seal your vows with the exchanging of rings and a kiss."
Taking the rings from Teddy, they slid them back onto each other's fingers and leaned in for a kiss. As their lips connected, the ruins above their heads burst into a shower of golden sparks that cascaded around their guests like falling snow. The room erupted into cheers as Kingsley turned to them and the crowd, "May your love be as enduring as the magic that brought you together. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Harry James Potter."
Everyone cheered as they turned to face their friends and family. Hand in hand, they walked down the aisle of petals to the end of the auditorium's floor. As their best man and maid of honor, Ron and Luna were the first to reach them. Ron hugged Harry tightly, thumping him on the back, "I knew you two would get here eventually, and did you see that soul magic? Blimey Harry. You both are powerful."
Luna embraced Hermione, "The Nargles blessed your union. Did you see how strong they made the magic in the runes? I could feel it in the air."
"Thank you, Luna and Ron. I don't know what we would have done without your help to make this happen," Hermione said as she hugged Ron.
Next to approach were Neville and Hannah, who hugged Hermione tight, "I cannot believe you kept this all a secret!"
Hermione laughed, "It was difficult. Hopefully we can keep it quiet for a bit longer, too."
Neville looked at him, "Why all the secrecy?"
Hermione glanced at Harry and then back at them. "Rita is awful. Honestly we are enjoying our little piece of heaven without her scrutiny."
Dean walked over to them with Seamus dragging behind, "That was an amazing wedding," Dean told them.
Seamus slapped Harry on the back, "I can't believe you pulled it off, Potter. You ended up snagging Granger. Congratulations, mate. Hermione, you are just glowing."
"Thank you, Seamus," Hermione told him as they greeted more guests before the Weasley family walked over.
"Oh, my dear girl! I'm so happy for you. You've been like a daughter, and now it's official!" Molly hugged Hermione, then moved to Harry, taking his face in her hands, "And you, Harry, I am so proud of you both."
Harry hugged her back, "Thank you, Mrs. Weasley."
They greeted more of their guests, receiving hugs and congratulations.
"Oh my God, Hermione!"
Hermione laughed as Christina launched herself at Hermione, and she hugged her cousin, "I'm so glad you two came!"
Bianca smiled as she hugged her older cousin, "I knew you two were popular, but come ON!"
Hermione laughed, "Harry, you remember my cousins? Christina and Bianca?"
Harry smiled as Christina hugged him, "Hey, Christina. Thank you for coming. Did the boys come?"
"No way I was setting them loose on the unsuspecting caretakers of the children," Christina told him, making Harry and Hermione laugh as Juliet walked over. "I'll let Aunt Juliet talk to you both. We need to get together."
"Definitely," Hermione said, letting Sirius and her Mum walk over.
Sirius hugged Harry, "Your parents would be so proud of you. Before you head out tonight, see me. I have your gift."
Harry held him close, "You didn't have to get me anything, Sirius."
Sirius held his face, "Kid, of course, I did." Sirius turned to Hermione, "And you, Hermione. You are everything that James and Lily would have wanted for Harry."
Juliet hugged Hermione, "I'm so happy for you both."
Hermione saw over her mother's shoulder, Hagrid making his way through the crowd. McGonagall reached them first, her lips curled into a rare smile as Hagrid stood behind her with tears in his eyes.
"Mr. Potter, Miss Granger… or should I say, Harry, Hermione," McGonagall said, "I cannot tell you how proud I am of the both of you."
Hermione tried not to cry as the woman in front of her, whom she had always looked up to, looked so proud of her, "Thank you, Professor."
"None of this Professor nonsense. Call me Minerva."
"We appreciate you being here. You've always been there for us, guiding us and believing in us even when the cards were stacked against us," Hermione told her.
Harry smiled, "We wouldn't be here without you. The Child Rearing Project and you putting us together for it set this all in motion. It just took us nearly ten years."
"Nonsense, my dear. You've always had the strength within you, both of you. I merely helped you along your path." McGonagall paused, "And Harry, you've become the man your parents would have been so proud of. I've watched you grow from that small boy searching for something into the man you are today. It's been one of my greatest privileges in my life teaching you both."
Hermione smiled as she took Harry's hand, "Thank you, Professor," Harry said softly, "That means more than you know."
Hagrid moved closer looking at them, his eyes already red-rimmed and watery, "Ah, look at yeh both," Hagrid said, "Can't believe how far yeh've come since yeh were just little as a bowtruckle when I rescued yeh from that house. Then yeh were first years, and I saw yeh're grown together. Feels like just yesterday I was takin' yeh across the lake fer the first time."
Hermione wiped her eyes and looked at Harry. "You were the first person who made us feel at home at Hogwarts and always looked after us."
Hagrid sobbed, then pulled them into a bone-crushing hug, "I'm so proud of yeh both. Yeh both deserve all the happ'ness in the world."
"No worries. We have the rest of our lives for happiness," Hermione told him with a smile.
After greeting the rest of their guests, Dennis took a few pictures of them, and then the DJ turned on the music to get everyone to the dance floor so they could slip out.
Pansy met them in the music room, where Harry shed his coat. Pansy looked at Hermione, "Start stripping. Wait, no… only right." Pansy looked at her watch, "Potter, I'll give you 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, I'm coming in."
Hermione looked at Harry, who laughed as Pansy locked the door when she left the room, "Did she just give us 30 minutes to have sex?" Harry asked.
Hermione nodded, "That she did. I have to put my other dress on." Turning around, "Can you unzip my dress?"
Harry slowly wrapped his arms around her as he looked at their reflection in the large mirror on the wall before them. Hermione smiled as Harry laid a light kiss on her neck.
"If I didn't tell you before, you look stunning, by the way," Harry whispered into her ear.
Hermione grinned, catching his eyes in the mirror's reflection. "Thank you. I cannot believe we are completely husband and wife. Did you feel the soul bond when it was completed?"
Harry nodded as he closed his eyes, "I feel your happiness right now. I feel your magic alongside my own in my veins. Have you felt this all along?"
"It's stronger now, but yes," Hermione said, reaching back to grab the back of his head.
Harry slowly unzipped her dress and then knelt to the ground, grabbing the bottom of it. His eyes were on hers through their reflections, and he started lifting it higher and higher, stopping to kiss her ankle, knee, and thigh. Standing as he reached her waist, he instructed, "Lift your arms."
Hermione closed her eyes and raised her arms as he gently removed her dress from over her head. Opening her eyes, she watched him fold it and place it on one of the chairs. She threw her arms around his neck and grinned, "What about a quickie?"
Harry grinned, "We don't have a lot of time. Anyone could walk in."
Hermione gasped as he picked her up and walked her over to the wall, and her back met it, "That just means we have to make it quick, huh?"
Pulling down her knickers as Harry dropped his trousers, picking her back up, he reached down and touched her. Hermione groaned as Harry rested his forehead against hers, "You are already so wet."
Hermione kissed him hard, "Always am with you. I'm always a mess for you."
Groaning as he slowly entered her, she moved her locked ankles to his lower back, "Harder."
Harry did as she asked, and he shifted his feet, thrusting deeper and harder. Hermione moaned, digging her nails into his back as she watched them in the mirror behind them. Her climax was building, and she knew she was close as Harry's fingers found her clit and rubbed it in circles.
"Fuck, Harry," Hermione moaned, "Don't stop. I'm so close."
Hermione cried out as her orgasm crashed over her hard, and Harry followed soon after. She was panting as Harry leaned against the wall as they tried to catch their breath.
Hermione giggled, "I think that's quicker than when we did it in the garage."
Harry kissed her neck, "I told you that we didn't have much time."
Harry gently set her to the ground, then grabbed her knickers and helped her step back into them. Standing up, he pulled his trousers back up. Hermione walked over to the dress bag and pulled out her reception dress. "I'm terrified to rip this. It's probably worth a thousand galleons, if not more."
Slowly pulling the zipper down, Hermione looked at Harry. "Can you adjust the straps? I don't think I'll be able to step into it. I told her not to make it snug around my middle, but I don't think she listened."
Harry took the straps, and Hermione found the hem of the dress and slid it over her head. Harry gently zipped up the zipper once the straps were on her shoulders. Looking at her reflection, Hermione ran her hands over the middle, "Do you think it's too tight?"
"Holy shit, you are gorgeous. Not that I didn't know it before, but… my God, Hermione. You are…breathtaking," Harry said as he kissed her.
"Alright, Potter. Hands off, I must fix her up," Pansy said, coming into the room, "Merlin's Beard, this room reeks of sex."
Hermione giggled, "We weren't going to, but you gave us the idea."
"Yeah, yeah, blame me," Pansy rolled her eyes.
"I thought I said to make this loose," Hermione told Pansy.
Pansy gave her a look, "You aren't even showing. You are fine."
Holding Harry's arm, they walked down the stairs back to the auditorium. The music was already going, and as the doors opened, Neville, Hannah, Dean, and Seamus were dancing on the dance floor. Ron and Luna were dancing a dance that was uniquely Luna, and Hermione was surprised that Ron was doing it.
The music turned down, and the DJ announced, "For the first time, I want to introduce Harry and Hermione Potter!"
Harry held their joint hands up as they walked out to cheers.
"Harry and Hermione will now share their first dance, but afterward, we will open the dance floor for all those lovebirds."
Hermione looked at Harry, panicking, "We didn't pick the first dance song!"
Harry smiled at her as he kissed her, causing the boys to whistle, "I did."
Putting her arms around his neck as the familiar opening to one of her parents' favorite songs started. "At Last?" Hermione asked.
Harry nodded as he pulled her closer to sway to the song, "We danced together to this song once. At the one gala. It took everything in me not to kiss you that night."
Resting her head on his chest, hearing his steady and calm heart beating under her ear, Hermione played with the short hairs at the base of his neck. "I can't believe we made it here. I wish Andromeda were here to see it. She called it before she died, and she was right."
"She called me an idiot the last time I saw her," Harry told her with a chuckle, "Said I needed to get my head out of my arse before someone stole you away from me."
"Because you both were," Luna stated as she and Ron came up next to them. They realized the song had changed to a wizarding ballad she did not recognize. "That dress is amazing."
Hermione smiled at her, "I'm about to ditch the cloak already."
Ron looked at them, "So when is dinner? Ow!" He said, looking at Luna, "What was that for?"
"Honestly, Ronald," Hermione stated, rolling her eyes.
Ron grinned, "You called me Ronald. It's been about a year, and I finally got one."
Hermione sat down at their table after making their rounds and sighed as she looked at her now cold plate, "Good thing I am not super hungry anymore."
A tapping on a glass made Hermione look up to see Dean hitting his fork on his glass.
"What's he doing?" Ron asked, confused, from his spot next to Harry.
"Muggle tradition, it means the bride and groom need to kiss," Harry said as he leaned over and kissed Hermione.
"Could I please have the bride and father-of-the-bride on the dance floor?"
Hermione sighed, "Guess that's me."
Getting up, Hermione picked up her dress and walked over to the dance floor. Dan came out to the floor, and Hermione took his hand, "Hey, Daddy."
Dan put his arm around Hermione's waist as "My Girl" by the Temptations started, and she teared up. "I told them to play this song."
Hermione smiled as she wiped her tears. "You used to sing this to me all the time," she said.
"I cannot believe that you are married and…having a baby," Dan whispered the other part. "It's not official, but Maria and I are thinking of moving up here for the summer and our winter down there, if not moving up here when she retires in two years. I don't want to miss my grandchild's life."
"We'd be happy to have you, Daddy," Hermione told him as the song changed, and Sirius walked over to her.
"May I have this dance?" Sirius asked.
Dan kissed her cheek, then handed her off to Sirius, "She's all yours."
Hermione started swaying with Sirius, "What is this song?"
Sirius laughed, "Oh darling, darling, darling, this is "Stand By Me" and we need to improve your rock music knowledge," Sirius told her, "I just thought it was fitting, as you did stand by me before you even knew who I was. I can't wait to see the future for you and Harry."
"Thank you… Dad," Hermione said, making Sirius freeze.
"You don't have to say it just because-"
"No, you have been a huge part of our lives over the last year. Daddy told me that he may not move up here for a couple more years, and Jamie will need his grandpa," Hermione told him.
Sirius frowned, "Can we not say Grandpa? How about Papa?"
Hermione laughed, "Sure."
As the song ended, Sirius leaned over and kissed her cheek, "When you get a moment, I want to steal you and Harry away so I can give you your present."
"Can I please have the mother of the bride and the groom?"
Harry smiled as he stepped away from Robards and walked over to Juliet.
Sirius put his arm around Hermione as they walked off the dance floor, "Juliet wanted to do this for Harry. Harry doesn't know the significance of this song, but I do."
Harry took Juliet's hand in his as the music started, and he paused.
Close your eyes
Have no fear
The monster's gone
He's on the run
And your daddy's here.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
"Lily used to sing this song to Harry to get him to sleep," Sirius told her as Juliet said something to Harry and hugged him.
Before you go to sleep
Say a little prayer
Every day, in every way
It's getting better and better.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Out on the ocean, sailing away
I can hardly wait
To see you come of age
But I guess we'll both just have to be patient
'Cause it's a long way to go
A hard row to hoe
Yes, it's a long way to go.
But in the meantime
Before you cross the street
Take my hand
Life is what happens to you.
While you're busy making other plans *Beautiful Boy by John Lennon
Hermione wiped her eyes as she rested her head on Sirius's shoulder, "Thank you for being here."
"I wouldn't be anywhere else," Sirius said, kissing her head.
"Hey, big D," Harry said as Dudley and Padma walked over to him and Hermione, who was standing, getting a drink while they had a chance.
"Hey Harry, this is an amazing party," Dudley told him.
"It's not on me, man," Harry told him, shaking his head, "It was all Hermione and Pansy."
"Alright, everyone!" the DJ announced as the music quieted. It's time to cut the cake! Could the bride and groom please come forward?"
Hermione smiled, "If you'll excuse us."
Taking Harry's hand, she led them to the dessert table where their cake sat. Seeing the cake knife, Hermione carefully cut a small piece and then used it to pick up the piece. Turning to Harry, she gently fed it to him.
Harry smiled while chewing his piece and cut another slice for Hermione. Carefully feeding her a small bite, a bit of icing smeared on the tip of her nose. Hermione grinned as she went to reach for a napkin when Harry leaned in, "Oops."
The next thing Hermione knew, he was licking the icing off her nose, causing laughter throughout the room. Then he pressed a kiss to her lips.
"Alright, everyone! Before you get your cake, could all the single ladies please come to the dance floor for the Muggle tradition of the bouquet toss?"
Giving Harry a peck on the cheek, Hermione headed to the center of the room, where Pansy met her with a small bouquet.
"I figured you might want to preserve your bouquet, so I brought these. These are some of the roses that I wasn't a fan of," Pansy told her.
Taking the bouquet, Hermione smiled, "Thanks." Turning to the group of women that had gathered, "Ready?" Hermione asked.
Closing her eyes, Hermione tossed the bouquet over her shoulder. Sailing through the air, it was nearly to Padma's fingertips when it bounced like a beach ball across all the girls' hands before it landed in Luna's hands.
Putting her hands to her hips, "Who did that?"
Standing on the collective group's outside edge, Ginny grinned as Luna skipped off to Ron. "Look, they are nargle-free too!"
Hermione's evening exhaustion was finally setting in and catching up to her. Resting against Harry at the head table, her eyes were heavy with sleep.
She barely heard a snore escape her lips as she jolted awake. Blinking to clear her eyes, she yawned, "I don't think I will make it until midnight."
Harry slid his arm around her shoulders to pull her closer, "We will stay 15 more minutes, then we can leave," he told her, kissing the top of her head.
Hermione yawned again, her eyelids fluttered shut, and she leaned into him more. "I don't think I'll make it, honestly."
George appeared at their table, grinning, "Oh, Hermione, I have a solution to that," he told them.
Opening her eyes, she looked up at him.
"Come join me outside for your present, please," George stated.
Harry helped Hermione to her feet as she stumbled slightly, "George, we better make this quick. Hermione is exhausted."
"Oh, it will be worth it," George told them as they made their way outside, Harry supporting Hermione as they followed George.
The cool air woke Hermione up slightly as they stepped outside. The remaining guests had followed them, curious about what George had planned.
George clapped his hands to get everyone's attention, "Freddy and I always knew that Harry and Hermione would get together. So, in honour of their special day, Freddy and I have a little show."
Hermione huddled under Harry's arm as the first firework lit up the sky, exploding into many colours. The display began with a train moving across the sky, the Hogwarts Express chugging along in red and gold. Next, the golden snitch appeared, zooming across the night sky. The snitch turned into a troll, and then their story continued to be depicted through fireworks, telling the story of their lives. She watched their victories and their bond throughout the years as she leaned into Harry for warmth. The final firework was a heart in sparkling HPs bursting and shimmering before fading into the night.
"George! You forgot Hermione's initials!" Ron told him from his spot beside them, arms around Luna from behind.
George walked over to them, "Ron, what are Hermione's initials?"
"Hermione Granger, HG," Ron told him.
"And now?" George asked.
"Hermione Granger-Potter, H… oh," Ron said, "Nevermind."
Harry kissed the side of Hermione's head and looked out at their guests. "Thank you, everyone from both of us. But it is time for us to say goodnight."
The Weasleys gave a quick round of hugs. Kingsley had left hours earlier with Teddy, and Sirius informed them they had the house to themselves tonight because he was going home with Juliet. He would bring their wedding gifts to the house in the morning.
As their friends showered them with sparks, Harry wrapped his arms around Hermione, drawing her close into a kiss. They disapparated with a soft, quiet pop.
Appearing in the entryway of their house, dozens of candles flickered on nearly every flat surface, giving a romantic glow throughout the home.
"Oh," Hermione breathed, taking in the scene, "Holly and Swift must have set this up. It's so romantic, but-"
Harry silenced her with a gentle kiss, "You need sleep. We have the rest of our lives together."
Scooping her into his arms, he carried her to their bedroom. Setting her down on the ground, he slowly unzipped her dress, helping her pull it over her head. Folding it, he set it on the armchair at the end of her bed. As he unfastened her bra, Hermione crawled into bed, hugging her pillow with a content sigh.
Harry smiled as he leaned down and kissed her shoulder, "Goodnight, my love."
Hermione mumbled something in reply, half-asleep already, making Harry chuckle.
"Balloons?" he repeated, amused, as Hermione drifted off to sleep.
*~*~* January 1, 2008 (11 weeks along) *~*~*
Hermione opened her eyes around six the morning after their wedding. Stretching, she heard her joints cracking as she rolled over in Harry's arms and looked at him in the moonlight filtering through their windows. He looked so young and untroubled in his sleep. Grinning, she moved under the covers and slowly pulled the front of his boxers down. Wrapping her hand around his penis, she heard him moan through the comforter.
Moving her hand up and down over his shaft, she felt him grow harder with each stroke. She couldn't help but smile as his hips moved up with a particularly loud moan. Taking him into her mouth, she swirled her tongue around his head. The comforter was thrown off her as Harry looked down at her, "Fuck keep doing that. This is one of my dirtiest dreams coming to life," Harry groaned as his hips thrust ever so slightly upwards with her rhythm.
Hermione took him deeper into her mouth, and he hit the back of her throat.
"I'm coming!" Harry panted out.
Hermione gently touched his balls and felt his cum fill her mouth.
Moving back up the bed, Harry pulled her against his heaving chest, and his arms wrapped around her.
"My turn," he grinned as he flipped her onto her back.
He kissed her hard, and their tongues met, dancing together. Moving down her neck, he bit and sucked at her pulse point. Hermione moaned as his tongue trailed down her body to her breasts, where he paid lavish attention to both of them with his hands cupping and squeezing them as his tongue twirled around her nipples. Moving down her stomach, Harry's tongue swirled around her belly button as he removed her knickers.
Hermione gasped as she felt Harry's tongue lick at her center, with one, then a second finger inside her as his tongue worked at her clit, quickly, she was brought to an orgasm. Kissing up her body, his lips met hers as he sheathed himself inside her. Lacing their fingers above her head as he slowly made love to her, Hermione gazed around them as their white and gold magic filled the room. Together, when they reached a mutual orgasm, Harry collapsed onto her.
"Fuck, I think that was the best we've ever done," he told her, making her giggle as her body still buzzed.
"I agree," she said, wrapping her arms around him.
"I'm not hurting you, am I?" Harry asked into her neck.
"Not at all," Hermione breathed in as they lay together.
She smiled as she looked up at the dark ceiling, a content smile on her face as she played with the back of his hair. A light snore was in her ear as he drifted back to sleep. With her hand, she summoned the comforter back over them to keep them warm, realizing that wandless magic was suddenly easier for her. Moving her leg over his hip, she gently rolled him to his side so that he stayed inside her. Hugging him, she closed her eyes, happy, content, safe, and fulfilled for the first time she could remember. She easily fell back to sleep.
a/n: 9 chapters to go, I have four of them written. It's bittersweet. There will be a sequel of shorts afterward, but not a weekly update like Enchanted. I am working on another story, and my graduate school starts back up in January, so there will be no guarantee of an update schedule for the sequel and the new story (also a Harmione story). I am probably going to take a bit of a break between Enchanted finishing and those stories starting. I like to have a few chapters under my belt before posting. I also want to devote my time right now to Enchanted and finishing it strong.

Here is a preview of next week's chapter: State of Grace (2008)
Cassandra looked at her, "Mary-Beth brought a book with her last time about the adventures of three kids at a wizarding school. A Granger wrote it. Oh heavens, the characters were Hermione, Harry, and Ron. Ron, who is Ron?"
"Our best friend," Hermione told her, "That book is written about me based on our real lives."
"You were nearly killed in your first year of school," Cassandra said as she looked at Juliet, "And you let her go back?"
"She never told us, and the school didn't either," Juliet assured her.
Cassandra's hand went to her mouth, "The author on the back. I thought she looked like you, but I told myself it was only a coincidence."
Hermione took a deep breath, pulled her wand out of its holster, and waved it gracefully around the room. Instantly, lavender bloomed from the ceiling, the soft fragrance filling the air. Cassandra watched in awe as the flowers appeared above her head.
"Magic is real," Hermione told her softly, "But we must keep it a secret. It is part of our laws to protect ourselves and the non-magical people we call Muggles from knowing about our world. I work for the Ministry of Magic as the head of the Department of Law Enforcement's Magical Creatures division. Harry is the head of the auror department and the head of law enforcement in our world. Sirius and Teddy are magical, too."
Cassandra looked between them, and Juliet moved forward in her seat. "Maman," Juliet said, squeezing Sirius' hand. "There's something else I need to tell you. Remember how I told you that Dan couldn't have children? The night I met the man that I conceived Hermione with changed my life in more ways than one." Her eyes turned to Sirius. "It was him. Sirius is Hermione's biological father."
Cassandra looked at Sirius, "You're Hermione's father?"
Sirius nodded, "It's true. We only recently discovered the truth, but I've been trying to reconnect with Hermione and Juliet."
Cassandra sat back, overwhelmed. She looked at Harry, "And your last name is Potter. Did you know Euphemia Potter?"
