Once Elrena had left, the room grew quiet. The prospect that Xehanort knew about the trio's exam and could be after them even if he knew they were well-guarded.

Minnie tried focusing on something else but it just went back to Xehanort's motives. If he was still after the X-Blade, would he try something new or just pit another Light and Darkness against each other to get it? The thought of the trio being torn apart and turned against each other like Aqua, Ventus, and Terra made her shiver. They needed any help they could get, that included their past enemy even if it was risky. "Do you think Elrena will be able to do it, Master?"

"The keyblade awakens differently for each wielder. It will take time for her to discover just what will drive it to appear." Yen Sid explained softly. "Thankfully, the Fairy Godmother and the Good Fairies have taken her to a world where time progresses much faster than it does here. Her power is much like a storm, chaotic and volatile. We can only hope she finds her way to the eye of it so she can use its power for good."

Minnie nodded in understanding. She hoped Elrena wasn't losing her temper at the fairies or accidently causing havoc in impatience with herself. It must be stressful knowing we're all depending on her, especially her friends…

"What about the kids, are we sure they're safe from Xehanort in there?" Daisy asked.

"They should be. Xehanort may know about the exam but there's no way he could enter it. Kairi, Sora, and Riku were sent back in time to the moment their world fell to darkness." Yen Sid explained. "Xehanort does not wield the power to override these rules like myself, the Fairy Godmother, or Merlin."

"So there's no other way to time travel then?" Minnie asked hopefully.

"There is one, but you must follow certain rules." Yen Sid continued. "Your heart must be separate from your body and you must have another self or a vessel in the place you wish to appear, that is where your heart will use it as its new body. Lastly, at least one person in that time must remember you. If not, your heart wouldn't be able to stay there."

Minnie wanted to believe it was impossible, she really did, but she couldn't help going through everything she knew about Xehanort, including his Heartless and his Nobody. "… Sora was possessed by Ansem, Xehanort's Heartless, at Hollow Bastion, right?"

Clarabelle thought for a moment and then nodded. "That's right. But Ansem had actually been following Sora a long time before that. He was just a heart looking for a new vessel."

"Right, he was the one who Sora to open the door on…" Daisy trailed off, her face growing pale. "Destiny Islands…"

They all turned to her in shock hearing that.

"A-And Kairi, she said she recognized him back then by his voice…! She said it was a man in a brown cloak but it wasn't a man, it was just a heart, Xehanort's heart!"

"No!" Yen Sid cried, rising from his chair. Minnie had never seen her master's already wide eyes look so frightened, it shook her to the bone. He shook his head in worry. "I always knew he was cunning but not to this extreme! He's done what seemed to be impossible…!"

"I have to go help them!" Minnie insisted at once. Daisy and Clarabelle were right by her side.

"Xehanort has certainly taken them to a dream he won't allow anyone else to enter. How will you reach them?"

"Master Xehanort still has a body, there's no way he'd risk unleashing his heart again after just being recompleted. That means wherever he is, since his heart was able to connect to the three, it must be a temporary link between dreams and reality! I just need to figure out where that is!"

Yen Sid closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again. "Sora and Riku are somewhere in the Realm Between but I cannot locate Kairi's heart, I fear Xehanort is the reason why."

Minnie looked worriedly at her friends. "Girls, I have to do this alone."

"But Kairi-!" Daisy tried to insist angrily.

"I know you're worried about her, and I'll try my best to bring her back to you both but if I don't… I think Kairi would agree with me in saying you and Clarabelle have to be here to keep all the worlds safe. …Please, please do this for us."

Daisy gave a long sigh before slowly nodding in agreement. She couldn't say no to Minnie especially when she looked so worried. "Alright…"

"We understand…" Clarabelle whispered, not looking her in the eyes.

"Thank you both."

"If necessary, I will send Elrena in as backup." Yen Sid assured her quickly. "She should take Xehanort by surprise and give you enough time to escape."

Minnie nodded before adjusting her bow, a determined look on her face. She remembered Master Terra's words to her at that moment: "If we never meet again… thanks for being our friend, Minnie."

She'd made a promise to herself that day that they would meet again, no matter how long she had to search. The same was true for Sora, Riku, and Kairi.

She just hoped she wasn't already too late…
