Ever wonder how different Scott Pilgrim's story got after that little time travel adventure his girlfriend took to save him? (See Ramona Flowers' Race Against Time for more info)

Well, this set of stories will explain how they went.

So anyway, we're picking up where we left off, roughly after the events of the Rockit.

Feel free to enjoy and comment your thoughts if you want.

SCOTT PILGRIM RETOLD

SECOND TIME'S THE CHARM (Part 1)

At St. James's Cathedral (The Day After Club Rockit's Battle of the Bands)

Sex Bob-Omb walked into the building, dressed in black. Looking around, they saw many people were attending for a funeral. Sitting near enough in the middle, Stephen Stills (Age: 22. Occupation: The Talent), Kim Pine (Age: 23. Status: Picturing Scott's funeral.) and Young Neil (Age: 20. Occupation: Stephen's Roommate. Not-So Fun Fact: Doesn't know why they're here) looked on as they saw a coffin at the very front with many sobbing in front of it. For a moment, Kim closed her eyes and sighed, thinking that she was attending Scott Pilgrim's funeral and that his foe, had killed him. Said thoughts, however...were interrupted by a voice only she'd know.

"Poor guys...they never had a chance..." Scott (Age: 23. Fun Fact: He's the hero of his own franchise) said solemnly, causing Kim to open her eyes to see Scott sitting in front of her. "Do you think about that kinda stuff this often, Kim? About death and stuff I mean." He then asked as he turned towards his fellow bandmate (Kim's Note: I wanna kill him so bad...), who rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Guess they kind of deserved it. I mean, they weren't really that good at all." Young Neil then responded, a little off topic, though answering Scott's question nonetheless.

"Remind me why we're hear again, Scott...?" Kim asked, slightly annoyed but felt like Scott had a good reason for being here today. "To pay our respects to Crash and the Boys." He responded gently while gesturing towards the front where a picture of Crash and the Boys was set beside the coffin. After the battle between himself and Matthew Patel, Scott had felt bad about what happened to them during their fight, and seeing as how quite a few people had shown up, Scott decided to attend, even inviting his band and friends along too. "But...you do know those guys are still alive, right?" Neil then said while pointing towards Crash, Joel and Trasha.

The trio (Status: Unable to get over their defeat from last week) were dressed in black and looking pretty sad while, as it turns out, mourning their dignity's (Along with the amount of change they turned into) departure. "They lost their dignity when they got hit by that one guy's fireball. I mean, it's the least we can do for them." Scott explained to Neil quietly. In all honesty, he didn't want to attend the funeral himself (He really didn't.), but he decided to go anyway to show he wasn't completely heartless against Sex-Bob-Omb's rival band. "At least people didn't say we sucked." Stephen Stills said a little too out loud, causing Kim to groan in annoyance.

A second later, the doors to the church opened up and in walked Knives Chau (Age: 17. Occupation: High School Student. Not-So Fun Fact: She broke up with Scott, though on good terms.) , who seemed a bit sad as she came over with her friend Tamara to sit beside Stephen and Scott. "We're not late are we, guys?" She asked gently. "You're fine, Knives. It's just to pay our last respects and we'll be outta here soon enough." Scott said reassuringly.

"Cool...and anyway, I'm glad it's not you in the coffin up there." Knives then said to Scott, smiling gently despite no longer dating him. "Trust me, Knives. It really would've been a while different story if Scott had died, Knives. Pretty sure they'd have done a series on it (Fun Fact: They actually did)." Kim then butted in, speaking words that made Scott slightly shiver in a hint of fear until... "You!" Crash's voice suddenly spoke, causing Scott and his friends to turn and see Crash and the Boys, looking at them, pretty mad considering not only did they lose the battle of the bands at the Rockit, but also respawned at their homes.

"You guys have some nerve showing your faces here after what you did to us!" Joel added with crossed arms. In fact, even Trasha (Status: Loathing Kim right now) ran her thumb along her throat whilst glaring at Kim, showing how bitter she was too. Kim of course didn't care what that girl thought. "Joel, I swear, I never meant for you to get blasted. I didn't know what was gonna happen!" Scott then said calmly, not looking to start a fight. "Not why we're upset with you, Pilgrim! We're upset because you won!" Crash then bluntly interrupted, even gaining attention from a few attendees.

"Wow, this has got to be the most dramatic funeral I've ever been to." Sandra said to Monique with a snicker. "Why can't you guys just admit defeat? I mean, we won by default." Stephen then groaned, feeling embarrassed by the argument and how it was escalating. "And even defeated that mystic pirate guy. Pretty much giving us a new adventure to defeat six other guys too." Young Neil then pointed out (The gyst of the story more or less) much to the annoyance of Scott. "That win should've been ours! You didn't deserve it!" Joel yelled, his jealousy revealed to the group within seconds.

"Yeah, well...you're music wasn't even that good anyway!" Knives exclaimed bluntly as she stuck her tongue out at Crash and the Boys. Insulted by her words, Trasha tried to hit Knives, only for another hand to grab her fist. "You know this is a church, right kiddo? I wouldn't start a fight here if I were you." Wallace Wells (Scott's Roommate. Age: 25. Fun Fact: He is gay.) said, frowning at Trasha judgmentally. Scott was glad Wallace showed up, in fact he was worried he wouldn't, but nevertheless he made it, and the tone of his buddy's voice was enough to make Trasha back off.

"Hey…I know you. You're that guy who kept yelling at us from the crowd at the Rockit!" Crash exclaimed, recognising Wallace from his yells at the Rockit. "Yep, damn right. And I suggest you stay away from my buddy and his band unless you wanna start a fight...and I really don't wanna right now." Wallace said, sounding threateningly, but was actually stern. "Ok, time to go then?" Scott then said awkwardly, getting up from his seat, with Stephen and Knives doing the same thing.

"Yep, let's just get outta here before I die of embarrassment." Kim responded in agreement, and after that moment, Scott and the group left the church, avoiding any more contact with Crash and the Boys, given their annoyance. Though surprisingly enough (And to the amazement of Stephen), many who attended their funeral also followed them, something that gave Stephen Stills a huge relief, and he took it as a sign that they didn't suck, even hearing someone say the band rocked. After the doors to the church had closed, Crash and the Boys, who were stunned by all of this, were the only ones left inside.

Crash didn't know what to say or think about this, thinking that their rival band had not only stolen their thunder, but now people attending their dignity's funeral too?! "Well that's just typical…" Joel groaned in frustration, and Trasha looked to the ground sadly.

A short while later...

Scott, Wallace, Knives and her friend Tamara were on the bus back to the boys' shared apartment. "Man, thanks for the save back there, Wallace. That would've really gotten really fast." Scott said gratefully to his cool gay roommate. "Yeah, I don't even know why they blame us for what happened yesterday. It was clearly that one guy's fault." Knives added, huffing at the mention of the guy who nearly killed her ex yesterday. "No problem. Anything for my buddy and you, Knives. It's almost nice out too." Wallace then responded after looking up from his newspapers.

"Finally, it's about time. I mean, it's April, right?" Scott then asked. "Yeah, pretty much." Knives said, her mood changing after seeing the sun come out from behind the clouds a little. "Hey, did you guys know they're filming a new Lucas Lee movie here?" Wallace then asked, showing the section where Lucas Lee. "Uh no, I'm not even interested in that guy." Tamara then bluntly responded as she rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Why are you interested in him? Do you have the hots for him?" Scott then asked, knowing his own gay roommate.

"Who wouldn't be? The guy's literally like if a pirate, and I don't mean that one guy, had a baby with an angel." Wallace said, even thinking about Lucas Lee at that moment and imagining having his adopted babies. Knives and Tamara were pretty confused. "Uh…that's Wallace for you. He's always around boys like Lucas Lee and-" Scott tried to explain, only to get cut off by Wallace almost immediately. "Hey, Lucas Lee is not important. Can we please talk about something else?" He said, pretty annoyed with Scott (Half the time he always is) and even hitting him on the head a little.

After what seemed to be an awkward silence, Scott remembered something. "Oh, that reminds me. I'm having Ramona over for dinner tomorrow night or whatever, so…yeah. I don't think it would be a good idea for you to stick around. Sorry." He said, slightly wincing a little though he noticed Wallace was alright with it. "Eh…got my own things to do anyway, buddy. So don't worry about it." He said while sounding like he didn't mind. And he had already met Ramona last week at the Rockit, so he didn't need to be introduced to her again.

Knives was still a bit jealous (Thankfully not too much like the novels) that Scott was now dating Ramona, but on the other hand, she found her as a cool independent woman. "Talking of Ramona, I noticed she wasn't at the funeral earlier. Why's that?" Wallace then asked after thinking about Ramona. "She didn't like Crash and the Boys, at least I remember she didn't, so she told me she had a huge shift today." Scott explained. And being honest with himself, he couldn't blame her, as he was so close to not attending the funeral himself.

"Not surprising…you know, I'm glad I didn't have to give you that ultimatum at the Rockit." Hearing this from Wallace, Knives and Tamara were surprised. "What ultimatum?" Knives asked, arching an eyebrow slightly. "Might have lived in infamy, but basically I threatened to Ramona about you, Knives, all if he didn't break things off with you. Which he did evidently." Wallace explained, his revelation shocking the two girls (Not-So Fun Fact: Knives never knew this in the novels). "Dude, that's so mean." Tamara spoke in a stern tone, calling out Wallace for that remark.

"Eh, that's just Wallace for you." Scott then spoke with a shrug, still…at least he didn't actually have to rat his former relationship out to Ramona. All the while, Wallace pulled the cord to tell the bus to stop. Before he got off though, he turned back towards Scott. "Oh, one more thing. I might need our assistance after your date. See you soon, Scotty." He requested before getting off the bus…which Knives realised was Scott's stop too. "Wait…isn't this your stop too, Scott?" She asked in confusion.

"Yeah. Actually, I did promise to take you to the music store the other night, you know, as a way to make up for what happened, didn't I?" Scott then pointed out to Knives, which she remembered almost immediately. "Oh right. I DID want to see if there were any new CDs out." Knives (Note: And really wanted to see some new CDs of one of her fave bands aside from Sex Bob-Omb) then said with realisation, causing Tamara to groan in slight annoyance. "Please tell me when my stop is near…" She said while facepalming herself.

Elsewhere...

Scott and Knives were being observed by Gideon (Age: 31. Occupation: Head of GGG Heavy Industries. Status: Awaiting the arrival of his other league accomplices) from one of his many monitors that were placed in his lair. The latter smirked slightly before getting a notification from his butler, alerting him that the rest of his league had arrived. With that, he got up from his throne and walked towards another room.

Outside...

New York City, America

GGG Heavy Industries

A figure skated towards the building and stopped to leave his skateboard with a chauffer, who was a huge fan of his work, which wasn't surprising for him given his status. He then took the elevator to the building's secret lair where once there, he walked in and was greeted by another figure, seemingly near the same height as him. "Ingram..." He (Ramona's Second Evil Ex. Name: Lee) spoke, sounding as if he had a grudge with this other figure. "Lee..." The guy (Ramona's Third Evil Ex. Name: Ingram) responded bitterly before both men began walking towards a huge round table.

"Heard you and your partner started dipping your toes in the waters of the acting game." Lee said as he walked past his assumed accomplice. "Eh. I've had a few auditions. Nothing too major though." Ingram responded, sounding as if he wasn't too interested in being an actor, given what he did for a living. "Maybe you should go back to the rivers and lakes you're used to and let the pros do the pro things." Lee smugly said to Ingram. "Please, we Vegans have perfect photographic memories. I could memorize an entire script just like that." Ingram boasted while snapping his fingers, though he seemed to be annoyed with Lee.

"Please, I hardly read the scripts anymore. I just say the first thing that pops into my head. It's called Being in the moment." Lee then boasted, though as the pair approached the table, their conversation seemed to attract some of the other members of their League. "Is that the reason why a third of your lines in your last movie were Let's Party!?" One of the figures (Ramona's Fourth Evil Ex. Gender: Sounding female.) at the table, sounding feminine, asked in annoyance. "Don't know. Can't remember which movie." Lee responded, all before Gideon's butler approached him and handed him a drink.

"Drink, sir?" He asked as this all happened. "Let's party." Lee said, and seeing all current members of the group present, as well as been given drinks via Gideon's Butler, the meeting had now begun. Aside from Gideon himself, Lee, Ingram and the other three members were shrouded in darkness with only red eyes being their only visible trait. "Sick lair, bro." Lee said, impressed with Gideon's lair as he looked around the room. "Why'd you bring us here again, Gideon?" Ingram asked after turning towards his boss, who turned in his direction.

"All in good time, Todd. All in good time." Gideon said to Todd, causing the evil ex to grumble slightly. "I have a question: Who the hell invited the robot?" The female figure asked, pointing towards a robotic figure sitting in what looked to be Matthew Patel's former seat. "The robot's with us." "The first one we ever built. We call him Robot-01." "We gendered him too. Male." "He's our special little guy." The other two figures (Ramona's Fifth and Sixth Evil Exes. Relations: Possibly siblings?) at the table finally spoke up, defending the robot and surprisingly speaking as if they were in unison.

"I didn't hear about any plus-ones. If I did, I'd have invited my own girlfriend, En-." Todd began with pride, only to be cut off by his fellow league members. "Envy Adams." They all said, sounding annoyed at the ex's words to his surprise. "Ugh! Yeah, yeah! We all know you're dating Envy Adams! You never shut up about it!" The woman groaned, unable to take the words from Todd. The latter merely glared at everyone else and didn't speak another word after that, allowing Gideon to take a sigh and speak up.

"Well no matter. Now then…down to business." He said, attracting the attention of his fellow league members. "I brought you all here because because it Ramona has herself a new boyfriend." Gideon revealed to the shock of the others. "Ramona has a new boyfriend?" The figure beside his partner asked in shock, unable to believe his ears. "Evidently. I'm unable to believe she has a new boyfriend." The latter responded. "Indeed. His name is Scott Pilgrim, 23 Years Old. Lives in Toronto Canada. And so far, he's proven to be a challenge." Gideon explained after bringing up a monitor that revealed Scott's face to the rest of the league.

"Scott Pilgrim? What kind of stupid name is that?" The woman asked, taking one look at Scott and rolling her eyes in disgust. "Beats me. He looks too stupid to be a boyfriend." Lee responded, even chuckling a little at the thought of Scott being stupid. "True. Don't let that fool you, Lucas. This random Canadian guy took out Matthew Patel (Ramona's First Evil Ex. Status: Unknown/Defeated) last week at the Rockit Battle of the Bands, all with Ramona's help too, and that of his friends." Gideon said to Lucas before showing footage of Scott and Ramona punching Matthew Patel together.

The moment completely shocked the five members, causing them to gasp. "Gasp." Todd spoke much to the annoyance of Lucas and the woman. "And it's for this reason that Matthew will no longer be joining us in our fight against this new boyfriend of Ramona." Gideon then spoke as he glanced towards Matthew's (Not-So Fun Fact: Matthew got kicked out after losing) former seat at the table, the one Robot-01 was currently sitting in. "Suits me." Todd said with a shrug. "I concur." "As do I." The two figures spoke, one after the other, in agreement. "He was just a loser anyway." Lucas smugly replied.

"Yeah, you're one to talk. Aside from your incredible super strength, all you can do is ride a skateboard. Why'd we let this guy join us again?" The woman asked, even pointing towards Lucas as she spoke to Gideon. "Have you forgotten that Lucas is important in terms of Ramona's past?" Gideon asked the woman, his hands slightly glowing, making her back down to her own annoyance. "Yeah. How'd you think we're gonna be organized to go after that Scott Pilgrim guy?" Lucas then asked rhetorically, sounding like he was sticking it to his ally.

"Talking of which, Lucas…I believe you're up next to fight Scott." Gideon soon said with a smirk, words that made Lucas excited and made him stand up. "Alright! Now that's what I'm talking about!" He exclaimed with pride, all to the shock of his allies. "What?! Why not me?! I've got emotional intelligence!" The woman complained, wanting to fight Scott Pilgrim next. "But I wanna go next! I can end the threat because I'm a Vegan!" Todd then spoke up. "We can easily beat him in one go!" "And we don't even have to fight him!" The other two figures said one after the other, angered by what was happening.

"Oh pipe down, you guys!" Gideon yelled, shutting the members up. "Should Lucas ultimately fail to defeat Scott Pilgrim, you'll get your turns. Todd will be next, and if he too fails, well you get the picture." He continued calmly, though the order of exes was unfair, the members didn't question it for their own sake. At that moment, Lucas' phone rang, prompting him to answer it and talk briefly before putting it away. "That was my agent. She said I'm needed on the sets of Torontowood Studios in a couple of days." Lucas then said before getting to his feet.

"Very well, off you go then. But remember to destroy Scott Pilgrim when you meet him. Otherwise, I'll make sure your stardom slips right through your grasp so badly, you'll never get it back." Gideon said, allowing Lucas to head to the studios in Toronto, though not before speaking a threatening tone to his cohort (And absolutely meaning every word). At first Lucas was stunned to hear those words…but after a moment or two, he shrugged it off with a scoff. "Whatever you say, boss." And with that, Lucas left the table to get his skateboard and head to Toronto.

All the while, the rest of the league had their doubts about Lucas. "You sure he can handle Scott Pilgrim, Gideon? I mean…if he took out Matthew, he could take out any one of us. Even any one of his friends, let alone Ramona, could do that." The woman asked, feeling a slight shiver up her spine as she questioned Gideon. "Please…Lucas is stronger than him. So how strong could one Canadian guy possibly be?" He asked while looking at Scott's face, even rolling his eyes at the question.

The next evening at Stephen's Place

Sex Bob-Omb were setting up their instruments, checking to see if they were well tuned and whatever else, so they could perform one of their songs. All the while, Young Neil and Knives were present, seeing the band set their stuff up and Scott playing the baseline from Final Fantasy 2. "So...you two broke up?" Kim asked with a bit of a glare, seeing Scott and Knives not together as much as before. "Yeah. We called it quits after Scott told me everything that happened." Knives responded, though she didn't sound too bitter about breaking things off with Scott, in fact, it was the opposite.

"Scott, you are the salt of the Earth." Kim spoke through her microphone, sounding pretty bitter and judgemental towards him. "What?" Stephen Stills asked in confusion, and Kim immediately corrected her own words. "I meant scum of the Earth." She corrected. Hearing this, Scott stopped playing his bass and set it aside to speak. "It was for the best anyway, Kim. I mean, Wallace told me that dating a high schooler is frowned upon by society itself. Heck, what if Knives' parents, let alone the authorities, found out about this?" He then said before asking Kim a rhetorical question.

"You know, he kinda has a good point (He really does), Kim." Young Neil pointed out, and hearing this, Kim rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Ok, ok, enough! From here on out, no talk on girlfriends, whether old or new-new. We were lucky to survive that last round against Crash and the Boys and that Patel guy. It's sudden death now, alright?" Stephen Stills then spoke, unable to stress his words enough to the rest of his band. "Scott, can I have a word with you for a moment by the way?" As he spoke to Scott, the latter of which got to his feet, Stephen brought him away from the band set.

Once alone for a good several hours, aside from Young Neil being present, Kim got bored until she looked towards Knives, who was currently reading up on a beginners book on how to play bass, looking like she was trying to learn how Scott played the instrument himself. "Hey, Knives." She said, catching the high schooler's attention. "You wanna try playing something together? You know, just for fun?" She asked Knives, who then looked surprised to hear those words coming from Kim.

"Me and you? Just the two of us?" Knives asked in surprise. "Well aside from Young Neil, I don't see anyone else in here." Kim responded with a slight smirk. Before long, Knives took up Scott's bass and plugged it into the amplifier, though she was curious about Kim's drum playing. "So, how long have you been playing the drums?" Knives asked while Kim adjusted a few things on her drum set. "A long time. Since I was in high school. Drumming is a pretty great outlet for my emotions. Rage mostly (Hence Kim's personality style)." She then revealed to Knives to her amazement.

All the while, Young Neil just kept to himself and played his gameboy, not paying any attention to the girls. "Wait. How do I know which notes to play?" Knives asked, worried that she might make a mistake on the bass. "It's up to you, Knives. That's why they call it play." Kim said in a cool manner to her friend. Hearing this, Knives began strumming on Scott's bass. It was slow strumming at first, but little by little, she got a little faster in the strumming and soon after, Kim joined in, and together, both she and Knives' rhythm became something if not phenomenal to their own ears.

As they continued to play, Young Neil heard the music and looked up to see the two girls playing, amazed by their performance and how well Knives was playing the bass, all from the heart. In fact they were so entranced by their own performance they didn't realize Scott and Stephen (Fun Fact: They just heard the music and came back to see what was happening) were looking at them play until after they stopped. "Woah...that's incredible, Knives." Scott spoke, amazed by how well Knives could play bass, a little over better than he could. "Oh, thanks Scott." She replied, a little flattered that he admired her skill in bass.

Stephen meanwhile, began to think about the possibilities of Knives joining Sex Bob-Omb to make them sound better than they originally were. "How…How long have you been able to play bass that well, Knives? I mean, that was so good." He exclaimed, all while Knives thought of how long it took her how to play bass that well. "Um...what time is it?" She then asked after she couldn't remember how long it was. "Uh, just about 6:30 pm, why?" Stephen Stills after looking at his watch. "Oh. Well, about four hours then." She replied.

Stephen was about to speak (Offering Knives a place in Sex Bob-Omb too), but the time made Scott remember something important. "Oh XXXX! I'm gonna be late!" Scott exclaimed in panic before rushing to the couch to get his parka. "Late for what?" Stephen then asked in confusion. "My date with Ramona. I promised I'd meet her at the apartment Wallace and I shared!" As he spoke, Scott had just put his parka on and was about to rush out the door…only to stop when he saw his girlfriend, Ramona Flowers (Age: Unknown. Relationship Status: Dating Scott. Emotion: Surprised just now) , standing there before she had the chance to knock.

"Oh hey, you're here." He said, surprised that Ramona would be here of all places. "Yeah. Figured you'd be with the rest of your band, so I thought I'd meet you here." Ramona said with a shrug before entering the house. Though it didn't bother him in the slightest, Scott immediately noticed something different about Ramona, specifically, her hair. He remembered her hair being bright pink with purple on the ends and now it was dark purple with bright pink on the ends. "Woah…Ramona, your hair." Scott said, pretty amazed by his girlfriend's newly coloured hair. "You can change your hair colour?" Knives asked, enthralled by the new hair Ramona had on her.

"Yeah, I usually change my hair like every three weeks. Do you guys like it?" Ramona asked after patting her hair slightly. "I'd say it suits you well." Kim said with just one look. "Pretty nice to see you again, Ramona." Stephen then said politely. "Likewise." Ramona responded with a smile. "How does a girl get to be as cool and independent as you?" Young Neil asked, only for Ramona to slightly look away as if to avoid the question. "Well, we'd better be going. See you guys later." Scott then said as he and Ramona then began to walk out the door. "W-Wait, what about our rehearsal later on?!" Stephen then exclaimed, worried about them sucking without Scott.

"There's always tomorrow or the day after, Stephen. Don't worry." Scott then called back reassuringly. After Scott and Ramona had left, there was a bit of an awkward silence until Stephen turned towards Knives. "Uh…have you ever thought about collaborating with a songwriter, Knives?" He asked, hoping to lean towards the subject of Knives joining the band, however she seemed pretty confused, and it didn't help that Kim was annoyed at her bandmate for dancing around the question.

Over at Scott and Wallace's Apartment

Ramona had just taken off her boots and was in the bathroom. Scott meanwhile, thinking ahead, had the stuff for dinner prepared hours earlier (Miraculously...) before he went to Stephen's place, so he didn't have any problem finishing off making it all when he and Ramona arrived. There was just one problem though... "Wallace, hands off! That's not for you." Scott said, shooing Wallace away from the food he'd prepared for himself and Ramona. "Come on, buddy. I have to eat something before I leave!" Wallace whined. "Look, I get what you mean, but I only made enough food for me and Rammy." Scott explained, something Wallace had immediately noticed.

"Rammy? Dude, are you seriously calling her that?" He then asked in slight annoyance. "M-Maybe soon if she's ok with it." Scott muttered sheepishly, moments before Ramona came out of the bathroom. "So, how's dinner coming along?" She asked Scott gently. "Just about finished." He replied, and he wasn't kidding, since he'd just finished up the last bit. "Ok, I'm gonna leave you two lovebirds to it. Have fun now!" Wallace said before leaving the apartment as well as leaving Scott and Ramona to themselves (Just like the novels and movie). "So...this is your apartment then?" Ramona then asked, looking around the small apartment in surprise.

"Yep. This is pretty much it. You've got the living room, the bed, the chair and...the bathroom." Scott responded, even pointing out the places of interest, though obvious as it seemed. "So...they're the only two rooms." Ramona then asked with a smirk and an arched eyebrow. "Pretty much." Scott responded sheepishly, right before he remembered the dinner. "Anyways, dinner's ready. We're having this baked pasta thing. Can't remember how to describe it. Plus, it has asparagus with a lemony taste and a little too much cheese." Scott spoked while explaining what the dinner was, and surprisingly, Ramona was amazed.

"To be honest, it's not really from a recipe book so I'm not sure what to call it." Scott admitted, his words immediately surprising Ramona. "Wait, you can actually cook? Woah...I thought you let Wallace do all the cooking." She said as she looked at how well made the food was. "I can actually handle all that myself sometimes." Scott explained proudly (And he really can. No doubt about it). Soon after, the two were eating their dinner on the floor, since there was no table in the apartment. "This is honestly so good. Sure, it sucks you don't have a table, but man I'm impressed. And I can't even believe you made a whole loaf of garlic bread." Ramona complemented, unable to get over how well made everything was.

"Yeah, garlic bread is actually my favourite food. I could honestly eat it for every meal. Or just all the time without even stopping." Scott admitted while eating his slice of garlic bread. "You'd totally get fat?" Ramona then pointed out to Scott. "Why would I get fat?" He then asked in confusion. "Uh, you know bread makes you fat, right?" Hearing this from Ramona, Scott became stunned to find out that fact. "Wait, bread makes you fat?!" He exclaimed, and Ramona couldn't help but giggle at his reaction to that revelation.

Later on, Scott and Ramona were in bed, making out and sparks were continuing to fly between them. As this happened, Ramona felt Scott's hair, feeling that it was pretty long. "Your hair's getting pretty long and shaggy." The second she mentioned how long his hair was, Scott immediately went into panic mode. "Oh god! I need a hair cut, don't I?!" He exclaimed to Ramona's surprise as he immediately let go of her. "W-What? I was only saying that it was cute that long." She then said in surprise while also reassuring. "Oh god, it would be cuter if it was short right?! Oh man, sorry...it's just, I had a bad haircut before me and my big ex broke up." Scott admitted apologetically.

SCOTT PILGRIM'S LAST HAIRCUT TOOK PLACE roughly around the following:

431 days and 3 hours before break up with last girlfriend (He blames breakup on his haircut and has been cutting his hair ever since.)

After a few moments, Scott was hugging his knees at the traumatic memories of his last breakup, and Ramona gently patted his back to try and calm him down. "W-Well, I like it the way it is, if it helps Scott?" She said, causing him to look towards her gently. "Y-Yeah...it does help a little." Scott then responded, even chuckling nervously a little bit. God, Scott couldn't even bare the thought of losing another girl because of a bad haircut, and somehow, Ramona couldn't blame him.

The morning afterwards...

Ramona had to leave early for work, which was fine with Scott since he had to go meet Wallace to help him with a favour. She had reached Second Cup to grab a quick cup of coffee before heading back to work, but when she went inside, she didn't notice who was behind the counter. "Hey there. I'll have a-" Before Ramona could finish, a familiar voice cut her off. "Hey Ramona!" Stacey Pilgrim (Age: 19. Fun Fact: She's Scott's younger sister) said, greeting Ramona while also revealing that she worked at the place. "Stacey? Woah, I never knew you worked here." Ramona said, surprised yet amazed that Stacey worked at a coffee shop like this.

"Just filling in for Julie today. Nice hair change by the way." Stacey said while complimenting Ramona's new hair dyed not too long ago. "Thanks." Ramona replied. Seconds later though, the moment was interrupted by a familiar angry voice. "I told you, I was taking my fifteen, Stacey!" Julie Powers (Age: 22. Not-So Fun Fact: She hate's Scott so much.) yelled in annoyance, wanting Stacey to get off her back. "You took your fifteen like 20 minutes ago, Julie! And could you stop wearing? We have XXXXXXX customers?!" Stacey yelled back before calming down and turning back to Ramona with an awkward smile.

"Yeah, she's pretty much like that here every day." She then said with a slight chuckle. After a moment, Ramona and Stacey sat at one of the tables in the building and talked about Scott. "I mean, sure he's a sincerely lame dork, but...I like him anyway, and he has a good heart." Ramona said, thinking the best about Scott given his how nice he seemed during their time together. "I mean...you went on one date." Stacey tried to point out, only to be corrected by Ramona. "Two actually, the second was last night." She corrected after a moment. "Ok, but how great could that first date have been?" Stacey asked in surprise, knowing her brother's way with girls in the past, and even Knives too.

"Honestly, it was great." Ramona responded with a smile, making Stacey chuckle at the thought that her little brother had finally found the right girl. "Well who am I to stop you two from being together?" She said at the same time. "Wow, Scott's lucky to have you as a sister. Not gonna lie, you're pretty cool." Ramona complemented. "Yeah, I'm always here for him, even if he does the dumbest of things. Like helping Wallace down at Torontowood Studios. He didn't give me the full details, but knowing Wallace, it's probably stalking his celebrity crushes." Stacey mentioned with the roll of her eyes. Though the mention of the studios caught Ramona's attention immediately. "Wait, they were heading where?!" She asked, almost panic-like.

Meanwhile

Over at Torontowood Studios (Yes, the same place from the Anime)

Scott and Wallace were walking along the sidewalk towards the studio entrance, and to Scott's surprise, he never saw a place like this before, even believing that Hollywood was the only place where they film movies. "Ah, here we are buddy. This is the favour I needed from you." Wallace said with a smirk. "Why exactly did you want me to come with you to this place again, Wallace?" Scott asked as the boys came up to the front gates. "I need my wingman to help keep me safe. You know, while I see all my celebrity crushes and maybe see what kind of new movie these guys are cooking up." Wallace explained to Scott. Yep, Scott immediately realised what Wallace was up to.

"You're gonna get us in trouble for this..." Scott (Status: A bit nervous about that.) pointed out with an annoyed look on his face, all while Wallace looked out from behind a pillar at the main gate that led into the studio itself. "Please...with me around, we're invisible." Wallace (Status: Too confident.) pointed out with a smirk. The boys then saw the security guards dealing with a bunch of Lucas Lee fangirls. "While we do appreciate your passion, no one visits the set of a Lucas Lee movie without explicit permission." The first guard said firmly, though somehow this didn't make the crowd disperse at all.

"Lucas Lee is here?" The second guard asked with excitement, making his colleague roll his eyes in annoyance. "Well of course he's here. What do you think our job is?" The first guard pointed out in annoyance. "Oh man. Do you think we could get an autograph from him later?" The second guard then asked. Whilst the guards were distracted with dealing with the crowd of Lucas Lee fangirls, Wallace grabbed Scott's hand and immediately slipped under the toll gate and into the studios unnoticed. Though Scott hit his head on the gate and had to be yanked out of view when the guards heard the gate getting hit.

After a few moments, Wallace took a golf cart (Which was unattended...) and drove through the studios, looking around as they saw many props, cameras ready to be used for filming and actors of all kinds with costumes or otherwise without them an in other costume-like clothes. "Tell me we didn't just steal a Mario Kart, Wallace." Scott groaned from the passenger's seat, unable to believe what was happening at the moment. "Borrowing, buddy. I'll give it back. Also, these things are called Golf Carts." Wallace corrected Scott with a smirk before correcting him again on his assumption.

"Well how would you know?" Scott complained, though not enough to give away themselves away as citizens. "Ask your new-new girlfriend. She's from the U.S, isn't she?" Wallace (Status: Made a good point) then pointed out with a bit of a frown. "Whatever man." Scott then responded, rolling his eyes. As they kept driving in the cart, they noticed, or in the case of their bickering, failed to notice, a lot of people in the middle of filming their own movies. "Hey uh, thanks for coming along anyway, buddy. It's nice to go to places like this alone." Wallace then said gratefully after a bit of a sigh.

"No problem, Wallace. I'd say the same too, since going to fights alone makes me feel like a loser." Scott then responded, a slight smile on his face forming. "You lose anyway, right?" Wallace asked jokingly before he snickered out loud, along with getting hit on the shoulder by Scott. "You know I never lose, right?" He said, feeling a little insulted that Wallace thought Scott always lost, though oblivious to the fact that he was joking. After a few moments, Wallace parked the golf cart at the studio lot he was looking for. "Ah, here we are." He spoke, getting off the cart with Scott as they walked up towards Studio Lot 25, where the door was currently opened.

"Right...so did you find your next celebrity crush you're stalking?" Scott asked in annoyance, still worried they were both gonna get into trouble. "Think I'm about to right now." Wallace said with a smirk. Yep, Scott knew this was the right place. Apparently they were shooting a new action movie sequel, doing what seemed like an intense shootout scene with several actors inside had makeup that made it seem like they were injured or worse. "Mr. Lee is traveling, people. Let's do this thing!" The director of said movie called out, though Scott immediately heard a name that sounded very familiar to him.

"Mr. Lee? Wait...does he mean...?" Before he could finish, Wallace confirmed his immediate thoughts. "Yep, Lucas Lee." He said before the two heard a door to a trailer open up behind them. Looking behind, Scott and Wallace saw a huge guy, black hair and with a beard and wearing a black shirt under a leather jacket and grey pants, exit his trailer and skate over towards the set. There was no doubt about it, this guy was Lucas Lee (Age: 24. Occupation: Skateboarding Hollywood Legend. Fun Fact: He looks so awesome!). The sight of his presence made the two boys look at him in awe.

"Wow...he's so famous." Scott said, wanting to get that guy's autograph. "I wanna have his adopted babies." Wallace then said, catching Scott's annoyed attention. "And..." The director began. "Action." Lucas Lee finished with a smirk, all to the director's sudden surprise. The scene then began playing with Lucas ducking behind a prop and the actors shooting prop guns. "Wow...now I'm glad I came, Wallace..." Scott whispered to his cool gay roommate with amazement. "Give it up, Hazard! We've got you completely surrounded!" One of the actors yelled to Lucas, who merely smirked at that response.

"Yeah, ain't gonna stop me you XXXXXXXX!" Lucas yelled before leaping over the prop and shooting his prop gun at some of the actors. Before Scott and Wallace could see anymore of the action being filmed, they were suddenly yanked away from the scene and behind the studio lot door. Scott assumed it was security at first, but he then saw Ramona (Emotion: Panic and annoyance), looking relieved and annoyed after getting them. "Guys, what the hell are you doing here?!" Ramona asked firmly, annoyed that Scott would do something stupid and follow his buddy into the studios.

Of course, she had to make a delivery at the studios, but when she heard that the boys were here, as well as Lucas Lee being at the studios too, she had to get there fast. "W-Wallace need my help, and I wanted to get outta here before we got caught. But...we got distracted." Scott (Status: Trying not to freak out) responded awkwardly. "Yeah, plus I wanted to see a few things too, like Lucas Lee. Also, I was planning-" Wallace was cut off before he could say anything else to Ramona. "Lucas Lee is here. Well, I mean, you probably know that part. But do you have any idea what he could do to Scott if he sees him here?" Ramona then spoke, to Wallace in particular, while annoyed with him.

"Relax, I was gonna tell Scott the thing about Lucas after we left." The cool gay roommate said reassuringly. "Wait, what about him?" Scott asked, but noticing the look on Wallace's and Ramona's faces, as well as the large shadow cast over him, he got the picture. "He's right behind me, isn't he...?" Asking this, Scott then saw Wallace nodding and turned around to see Lucas Lee, looking down at him in confusion. "Hey! Can I help you?" He asked, sounding slightly annoyed. At first Scott couldn't say anything, but then took a deep breath and looked at Lucas. "Um...Lucas Lee, right? Yeah, I was wondering if I could get your-" He began, trying to sound like he worked at the studios.

"Yeah, Scott...I'm trying to tell you buddy, he's-" But after Wallace mentioned Scott's name, and when Lucas noticed Ramona looking at him, the pieces of the puzzle began to fit. "Wait, you aren't Scott Pilgrim by any chance, are you?" Lucas asked in realisation much to the latter's surprise. "Me? Oh yeah. Why?" Scott then asked in confusion. "Finally, I'm so glad to meet you for the first time for the last time." Lucas said, a grin (A bad boy grin) growing on his face. Before Scott could even ask or react, he was punched right in the face and sent flying several feet away.

"Scott, he's an evil ex!" Wallace (Note: Too little too late to mention. Sorry...) yelled to Scott as he got to his feet, annoyed and getting into a fighting stance. "You think you could've told me that like a moment ago?!" Scott yelled, getting to his feet as he rushed towards Lucas and prepared to fight. He rushed for Lucas, hoping to end the fight in one kick, only for the latter to grab his foot and slam him into the ground. "I'm ok..." Scott said despite being muffled by the ground, even sticking his thumb up gently. Lucas then turned his attention towards Ramona (Emotion: Annoyance), like he hadn't seen her in years.

"Ramona Flowers..." He said with a slight smirk, though it didn't impress Ramona in the slightest, even though Wallace noticed she had a slightly guilty look on her face. "Been a while." She said to Lucas. "Freshman year, high school. So how's life?" Lucas then responded back, asking how his ex was. "Been better. You?" Ramona said with a sigh. But Lucas couldn't respond when Scott finally got to his feet again and back into a fighting pose. "Hey! Not cool, sell-out! I'm gonna take you down for that!" He said, even pointing towards Lucas, though calling Lucas a sell-out seemed to tick him off.

"What'd you just call me...?" Lucas asked, his voice seeming to sound angry. "Y-You...heard me? Wait, Wallace, is he evil because he's a sell-out?" Scott then spoke before turning to Wallace, who facepalmed himself. "I said he kinda seems like an evil sell-out, buddy. I was kidding." Wallace then pointed out in slight annoyance. Lucas then smirked at Scott, seeing how idiotic he was. "You really think you can stand a chance against a Hollywood legend like me?" He asked while cracking his knuckles (And ready to beat down Scott). "Well, I beat that one guy at the Rockit, with my friends, so maybe." Scott nervously, yet with a bit of confidence, responded.

"Guess we'll find out. Someone get me my board." Lucas then said aloud before he was given his signature skateboard. "Scott, I don't think it's a good idea to-" Wallace began with a hint of worry, but only to get cut off by Scott, who patted his shoulder. "Don't worry, Wallace. I got this." He said, noticing a crowd of people forming around him and Lucas to see their huge fight, saying Lucas Lee was fighting some random guy from Toronto. "Well don't hog all the fun." Wallace responded before joining Scott in the fight, all to Ramona's (Status: Unable to believe Scott is fighting Lucas at this time.) annoyance.

"Quick, somebody film this! I can get inspiration from it later!" One of the directors yelled as someone got out a camera and began to film the fight. "Ok, Pilgrim. Let's party!" Lucas then said.

LUCAS LEE

VS.

SCOTT PILGRIM AND WALLACE WELLS!

ROUND ONE

FIGHT!

Lucas went first, jumping onto his skateboard and rushing towards, Scott and Wallace. The two boys managed to dodge out of the way before trying to make a move on him, only to see the Hollywood legend rushing right for them again. Scott leapt onto Lucas along with Wallace, hoping to throw him off balance (Wallace's Note: Yeah...I don't think that's gonna work) when he skated towards the crowd which immediately moved out the way. "Hi! Big fan." Wallace then said to the surprise of Lucas and the annoyance of Wallace, since it was the worst possible time. "Why wouldn't you be?" Lucas asked rhetorically before throwing Wallace off him and grabbing Scott.

After a moment of trying to get free, Scott kicked Lucas in the chest, getting free from his grasp before performing a reversal and then a Shoryuken uppercut on Lucas. He hoped it would knock Lucas off his board, but the latter just landed on the board, which landed on the ground to Scott's shock (Scott's note: How the hell does he do that?!). "What the hell did Ramona even see in you anyway?!" He groaned in annoyance before both he and Lucas rushed towards each other. Scott tried to kick Lucas off the board, but the latter jumped over him and smacked Scott in the face with his board, sending him flying through a studio lot hanger door.

Scott landed roughly and then got to his feet to look around, seeing that he was on the surprisingly realistic set of a dinosaur-themed island movie (Scott's Note (Again): Where have I seen this movie before...?). "Woah. we're literally in the movies themselves...? Awesome..." Scott asked as he looked around in awe. Said awe however was short lived when Lucas (Status: Sneak Attack!) appeared behind Scott and smacked him in the back with his board. "Heh, how the hell did some Canadian guy like you managed to beat Patel with Ramona's help? You can't even focus that well." Lucas snickered mockingly.

Scott growled and tried to hit Lucas, only to stop when a dinosaur appeared from behind the latter. With little options, Scott ran for it while figuring that he didn't think the fight through at all, and all while Lucas kept chasing him, though various movie sets: A pair of sci-fi movie, differencing from one another as one had star fighters and the other killer aliens, a desert themed movie, a 1930s movie, a fantasy movie, and soon enough, a mystery adventure movie involving treasure. As he continued dodging Lucas, who skated on every prop within the movies, Scott tried looking for a way out, but felt tired from all the running he had to do.

But the worst came when he looked back to notice Lucas throwing his skateboard into the air before leaping onto it and performing a skateboard-like drill-like megaton kick (Scott's Note: A megaton kick?! Oh come on!). At that moment, Ramona appeared, skating through the ancient ruins and catching up with Scott. She grabbed him and pulled him away just in time before Lucas could hit him. "Scott, what the hell did you have to fight Lucas this early for?! He's clearly too strong!" She yelled at him, and Scott couldn't blame her for that. "You're telling me?! I did not think this through..." He responded admittingly.

Scott and Ramona then turned to see Lucas still following them, shocked that she was helping Scott, confirming the claims from Gideon. "Come on, Ramona! This fight is between him and me! Why are you interfering with it?!" He yelled, complaining about his ex helping his foe. "Lucas just knock it off! He didn't do anything to you until you punched him!" Ramona yelled back, claiming Lucas started the fight first (Fun Fact: He really did start the fight.). "I'm not that bad of a guy, Ramona. Why couldn't you understand that?!" Lucas asked, almost sounding like he was pleading.

"Please, I know your reputation. You're just a quintessential Hollywood bad boy!" Ramona bitterly spat back, the words seeming to shock Lucas at that moment. "Is that why you left me back then...?" Hearing this from Lucas, Scott (Status: Just learnt something new...?) turned to Ramona in confusion. "Wait, did what back then...?" Scott didn't get an answer before a huge force caused Ramona to lose her grip on Scott. At first, Scott assumed Lucas had zoomed past the two and separated them, but thankfully, Scott landed on his feet and ran, after regaining his strength, towards Ramona.

"Ha! Is that the best you can-!" Scott began triumphantly, only to get hit in the face by Lucas' skateboard, knocking him out cold in the process. "Scott!" Ramona yelled, her voice being the last thing her new boyfriend heard before he passed out.

A little while later...

Scott (Pain rating: 10/10) woke up, groaning in pain, to see Ramona, Wallace and Lucas Lee himself, watching over him. "Scott, thank god. You ok?" Ramona asked in relief as Scott sat up on the couch. After Scott had been knocked out, he was brought back to Lucas Lee's trailer to recover, and the fight stopped overall. "Lucas had to stop the fight after his skateboard accidently hit you in the face." Wallace then brought up to Scott's confusion. "Wait what? But...he threw it in my face." Scott said accusingly towards Lucas, who became shocked. "No. A huge air fan knocked me off my skateboard and sent it flying to your head." The latter explained.

"Seriously though, how's your head? That was a nasty blow to your head." Lucas (Emotion: Concern. Scott's Note: Wait...I thought he was evil?) then asked, showing his concerns for Scott. In fact, Scott realised that Lucas wasn't really THAT evil, since he had gotten Gatorade, baby carrots and Ritz crackers for him, Wallace and Ramona. "I'm...ok. I've had worse." Scott admitted gently. And for a while, the four had a chat amongst each other, learning about the movie Lucas was shooting. All the while, Gideon was watching, and seemed pretty annoyed by these events, though he didn't interfere.

"So...Ramona's second evil ex then?" Scott asked Lucas, the latter of which merely smirked after figuring Scott wanted to know more. "Yep. Pretty much. The guys almost didn't join the league until they figured I was important in her past." He confirmed, causing Ramona to slightly roll her eyes. "You didn't have to join the league, yet you clearly and wilfully chose to join it." She pointed out after folding her arms. "In hopes of getting back with you, to get back all the time we could've had together. Especially after..." Lucas explained further to Scott's and Wallace's surprise (Wallace's Note: Not surprising...but still, at least they're talking again).

However, he couldn't finish to the surprise of Ramona. "Lucas...it was a long time ago. And that guy...well, he wasn't worth dating after all. " Ramona explained calmly to her ex. Lucas sighed, knowing Ramona all to well, yet he felt he understood that. "Wow, you guys really have high school history together don't you?" Scott('s Note: I'll probably explain this in the next chapter like the second novel explained it.) awkwardly asked gently, catching Lucas' annoyed attention. "What would you know about that, Pilgrim?" He asked, resisting the urge to punch Scott for butting in like that.

"I uh...had a similar experience in high school, with my bandmate, Kim." Scott revealed to Ramona's surprise. She knew Kim was the drummer girl for Sex Bob-Omb, but she didn't know they knew each other for THAT long. "I-It's a long story, and it might bore you." Scott admitted sheepishly. "Did that drummer girl leave you for the first cocky pretty boy that swaggered by?" Lucas then asked, something that made Ramona look away. "Uh, no...it wasn't like that. Why? Did Ramona-?" Scott responded immediately in surprise, only for Ramona (Emotion: Pretty much embarrassment.) to stop him.

"I'll...tell you what happened later, Scott." She said, trying to avoid the whole subject from what Wallace could actually tell. "Well anyways, I'll tell you what Pilgrim. Give me all your money and I'll let you live. I'll just tell Gideon I killed you." Lucas then demanded, making Scott a bad offer he thought he wouldn't refuse...which Ramona didn't like. "Lucas!" She yelled, even hitting him on the shoulder. "Ow, ok ok...worth a shot. Probably wouldn't have worked either way." He replied back with a shrug. He would've said more, but was cut off by someone knocking on his trailer door.

"Hey Lucas! You're needed on set." The director called in to Lucas, assumedly for shooting a new scene. "Sure, I'll be there in a moment." Lucas called back to him aloud. "Well, I've got a new scene to shoot, so I think you guys should go. It could take a while." He then said, turning back towards Scott, Ramona and Wallace. And with that, the three friends left the trailer. However, before Scott could leave, Lucas caught his and Wallace's attention. "We aren't done fighting though, Pilgrim. Meet me at Casa Loma during my movie shooting there in two days. We'll finish the fight there. Unless you're a XXXXX" Lucas then said before skating off to the studio lot.

For a moment, Scott just stood there, worried about having to fight Lucas after nearly getting his XXX kicked by him. In fact, he had to be escorted from the studio lots by security after he couldn't move. When he finally snapped out of his panic trance, he turned towards Ramona and Wallace. "So now what...? The next fight with Lucas Lee is in two days and that guy's way too strong for me. How can we even beat him?" Scott asked, and given his strength, Ramona couldn't blame him (She really couldn't), feeling like she needed to tell Scott everything sooner or later.

"Don't worry, I've got this under control." Wallace said reassuringly, even poking at Scott's chest a little with his elbow. "How exactly?" Ramona asked in confusion. "I've got a complete dossier on Lucas Lee, you've got Ramona to tell you stuff about him aaaand...I know only one place we can get his movies." Wallace then pointed out, so at least Scott had a chance to know more. And the one place Wallace to get movies on Lucas Lee Wallace mentioned, Scott then remembered the one place where they could actually get the movies, but at the same time, unfortunately...it was one place where someone he knew worked.
