BATTLE OF JEALOUSY (Part 2)

Later on... (Well after the show was over)

Scott and the gang (And unfortunately Julie...) were all waiting around for Envy to appear. Scott had rushed over to a convenient save point (A glowy thing by the door beside the bar), taking no chances if his ex had something planned for him. "What was that thing you just went over to, Scott?" Stephen asked with an arched eyebrow. "You mean the glowy thing by the door? It's a save point. Had to save just in case." Scott explained despite Kim rolling her eyes in annoyance. "Well...you can't deny The Clash's performance were good tonight, huh?" Stephen then pointed out to Scott's annoyance and Knives' excitement.

"I don't know...I feel like Envy was looking at us the whole time she and Todd played." Ramona said, and she wasn't kidding. She hadn't seen Todd (Ramona's third ex and Envy's Boyfriend) since high school and already she felt like things were going down. "You mean that feeling were she was staring into your soul? Yeah, I know what that's like..." Kim then said, a little blunt but gently nonetheless. After a few moments, the bartender for Lee's Palace came into the room and immediately noticed the group. "Hey! What the hell are you guys still doing here?! We're closed!" She exclaimed, annoyed at this.

"M-Ma'am, we were told to wait here for-" Stephen began, trying to explain before getting cut off. "Hey. Don't worry about it, they're with us." Envy (Scott's ex aside from Knives. Status: Waiting for Scott and Ramona) said, appearing behind Knives, to her immediate amazement, and Young Neil, along with Todd and Lynette. "Welp, that's our cue. Come on guys. We're going backstage." Julie gleefully said before motioning for the group to follow her with Envy. "Wait, does it have to be all of us?" Scott asked, feeling nervous about talking to his ex again. "Did I XXXXXXX stutter, Pilgrim?!" Julie barked back at her worst enemy.

Backstage

Scott and the gang were sitting on the sofas facing one another with Stephen and Julie on Envy's couch and Neil and Lynette opting to stand. Scott was nervous (Understatement more like) as he glanced at his ex, but he tried to keep a serious expression on him. "Hi, Scott." Envy said to him with a smirk. "Hi." Scott mustered up, given how nervous he still was on the inside. Ramona, meanwhile, was pretty much glaring at Todd, who smirked at her. "Hey, Ramona." He said to her. "Hey, Todd." She responded back. "Been a while, huh?" Todd then asked rhetorically. "Nearly ten years since high school." Ramona said, her glare trying to affect Todd, but with no avail.

After that, there was silence, or at least, until Knives (Status: Trying to contain her inner fangirl) spoke up. "Um...Envy? I...I read your blog." She said, getting Envy's attention, but also Julie's and Todd's too, three sets of glares in fact. "Think we should get outta here?" Scott whispered to Ramona and Kim, though he was interrupted by Julie. "So anyway, how was the tour? You played with New Order? The Pixies? Seriously, you're a superstar now!" She said, admiring her famous friend. "Not something I can really put into words at this point. Let's just say, it's been unusual..." Envy responded gently before turning towards Scott and Ramona.

"Envy, you're sooo fashionable! You're totally my role model!" Knives said to Envy with amazement, though the latter didn't take any notice of her and instead kept her eyes on the prize. "So...Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers, huh?" She said, making the duo pretty weary and uncomfortable. "What of it?" Ramona (Emotion: Wanting to get the XXXX outta there asap!) asked her, feeling a slight urge to punch Envy's life in the face. "You guys make a cute couple, you know? Given everything, you must've gone through, you suit Scott." Envy...complemented? "Uh, thanks?" Ramona awkwardly responded back.

"Ok, let's hear it Envy. What's your ulterior motive in general?" Stephen then asked, deciding to ask Scott's question for him. "She doesn't need an ulterior motive, Stephen. I mean, just look at her!" Julie bluntly responded to her own boyfriend in annoyance. "Yeah, I'm hurt. Wounded even. I was only saying they were cute as a couple." Envy said with a slightly pouty face (The kind that guilt trips anyone), the likes of which made the gang pretty more uncomfortable. "Also, I like your outfit, Ramona. Was it affordable?" She then asked Ramona, who seemed pretty suspicious. "Excuse me...?" She said with an arched eyebrow.

"I was just gonna say, Envy, are those totally awesome jeans from-" Julie began, only to get shut down by Envy. "I'm talking to Ramona right now. Shut up, Julie." She barked bluntly. Seeing this, Ramona became shocked and Julie began to look pretty desperate (Scott's Note: I'd snicker if this wasn't so serious). "Uh...Ramona's from New York. Just wanted to say that part." Julie meekly pointed out. "I'm not from there. Just lived there for a couple of years." Ramona explained calmly despite the roll of her eyes. "Did you like it? See a lot of the city? You know, the seamy underbelly, backs of parked cars?" Envy asked, confusing Ramona enough to make Scott almost pounce.

"I-I...what?" She asked, but didn't get an answer before being cut off by Julie. "Well anyways, you guys doing anything fun while you're in the city?" She asked out of desperation to stay relevant. "Fun? In Toronto?" Todd asked rhetorically, sounding uninterested being in Toronto despite the mission he was given by Gideon. "Maybe a little bit of shopping tomorrow." Envy said with a sigh. Her words immediately sparking Knives' interest. "Oh my gosh! I've kissed the lips that kissed you!" She squealed with delight while pointing towards Envy. Scott and the gang looked as this happened, but unfortunately..so did Envy and Todd.

Lynette, who had been quietly standing in the corner of the room (Wanting to blend into it like an awesome ninja) looked at Envy, who gave her a nod. Seconds later, Lynette turned towards Knives and after lifting her right arm, which made a whirring noise, she threw an insane punch towards Knives, who had no time to react before getting hit in the face by the fist. "Knives!" Scott and Ramona (Emotions: Both concern and shock) both said in unison as Knives fell to the ground. All the while, Envy and Todd smirked as Kim helped Knives to her feet along with Scott and Neil too.

"Oh my god, that girl has a bionic arm?!" Young Neil said, looking at Lynette's right arm, which was revealed to be an entire robotic arm with a human-like fist on the end. "Ok, I literally didn't see that coming..." Kim added, just as shocked as Neil was over that. "Knives? Are y-oh god!" Scott asked, showing his growing concern for his ex before immediately seeing the damage Lynette had done. "W-What's wrong?" She asked in concern. "Your hair...she punched the highlights out of your hair!" Young Neil said to Knives, and boy he wasn't kidding. Lynette had actually managed to punch the red dye out of Knives' hair to her shock.

In fact, Ramona was even more shocked that Envy (Not-So Fun Fact: She's evil enough to let this happen, from Scott's perspective) would allow something like this to happen. "Do you surrender?" Lynette asked in a threatening tone while cracking her knuckles. "Yes! I'm really sorry! I'll be so, so good!" Knives then responded, pleading to Envy...though of course, she couldn't care less. "Nope, not happening. You and your little boyfriend can go now." Envy said, shooing her and Neil away. Hearing those words...Knives felt sorrow infect her heart like a plague, her world crumbling around her by those words and the fact that the woman she looked up to...just blew her off.

"Let's go Knives. Who needs her anyway?" Young Neil (Status: Trying to support Knives after this) said, bringing Knives out of the backstage. On the way out, she looked towards Scott and his friends, feeling like she was a disappointment to them too, but (In truth) they were just as concerned for Knives. "Quick question: Why were those two even here?" Envy asked in disgust to...well, anyone really. "That was Stephanie's brother, remember?" Julie pointed out, to which Envy suddenly recalled. "Wait, you mean to say that that was Neil?! Heh, whoops...guess he's dating the wrong girl." She said, trash talking about Young Neil and even Knives.

The way she cruelly made fun of the same girl who just joined Sex Bob-Omb and looked up to her made Scott (Anger Levels: Reaching the critical boiling point) growl with anger. He might have left her for Ramona, but nobody could do that to Knives and get away with it! Not on his watch! "God, how pathetic could a girl like her even get?" Todd then asked mockingly, causing both him and Envy to laugh out loud. "THAT'S IT! YOU COCKY COCK!" Scott finally yelled in anger, banging his fists on the table to Envy's shock and the surprise of his friends and girlfriend.

"YOU'LL PAY FOR YOUR CRIMES AGAISNT HUMANITY!" With those words said, Scott (Status: Serious mode activated!) leapt over the table and tried to punch Todd for that remark, only to stop...or in this case, to be stopped when Todd's eyes glowed and his hair shot up high. The latter then proceeded to use his powers on Scott, choking him without even touching him. "M-My neck...y-your hair..." Scott yelped, even noticing Todd's glowing appearance in person and wondering just what the hell this guy had. "Didn't you guys know? Todd's a Vegan. Top of his class from Vegan Academy and basically everything else." Envy said, smirking and even boasting at this fact to everyone.

The second Scott had gotten grabbed psychically by Todd, Ramona had tried to rush over and help her boyfriend, but due to a barrier Todd had conjured, she couldn't get through. "Let him go, Todd!" She yelled at her ex, demanding Scott to be released (And not kidding around) which caught his attention almost immediately. "Alright." He said before blasting Scott through the backstage walls and into the alleyway beside Lee's Palace, giving him a lot of pain. Todd smugly looked at how he'd just overpowered his foe in just one shot before looking at Ramona, who glared at him furiously before rushing over to help Scott to his feet.

"Being a Vegan's no big deal when you're me." Todd (Smugness and egoness Level: High) said, still baring his smug look. "Well obviously. I mean, anyone can be vegan if they work at it." Stephen pointed out to Ramona's third ex while stating the obvious. "Not that kind of vegan, Stephen." Envy said after rolling he eyes at Stephen's remark. "Wait, why not?" Kim asked as she came out from the backstage, though she did give a huge glare to Scott. "Most people can't take it. It's a fact of science. Whole point is that I'm better than most people." Todd said as he combed his hair back down.

His words, however, didn't impress Kim or with the others in the slightest. "Is that what they taught you at Vegan Academy, meathead?" She bluntly asked Todd, who glanced at her for that name calling. "Hey! Get snippy with me if you want. But maybe if you knew the science, I'd listen to a word you're saying." He said bitterly to her. "Oh bite me." Kim shot back while flipping off the Vegan. "Quick question: How the hell does being vegan give you psychic powers?" Stephen asked in confusion. While the question wasn't something worth asking about to Todd, he gladly answered.

"Not just those powers, but you know how you only use 10% of your brain? It's because the other 90% is filled with curds and whey." He explained, the words of which making no sense coming from Todd (It really didn't...). "Is that another fact of science?" Kim asked sarcastically. "Seriously, that's the stupidest thing I ever heard!" Scott complained as Ramona (Supporting Scott as always) helped him to his feet. "Pff...if only you knew the science, Pilgrim." Todd muttered to himself. "So anyway, you've gotta give up on dating little miss Flowers, Scott. Because this is a fight you can't win." Envy then said smugly to her ex.

Her words, immediately sinking in, shocked both Ramona and Scott, even Kim too. "Wait what?!" Ramona exclaimed in shock, wondering if Envy was working for Gideon or such. "You knew about this, Envy?" Scott then asked, unable to believe what he was hearing from his own Ex. "Well obviously. I've been with Todd since we were eleven years old, and every day has been more magical for us than the last. Plus, I heard he made it his mission to end you also." Envy admitted while explaining the whole, though surprisingly sighing at the thought of being with Todd so much...enough to make Kim gag in disgust.

"Lemme guess, the meathead cheated on you with Ramona?" Kim asked, catching Envy's sudden and shocked attention. "Oh please...don't be ridiculous." Envy spat (Possibly in denial) towards her. "Hey! She's not being ridiculous, Envy She's just-" Ramona began whilst defending Kim, only to get cut off by Envy once more. "I know what you guys are trying to do, and it won't work. Nothing will." She continued, making Scott, Ramona, Kim and even Stephen silent out of worry. Julie, however, smirked evilly (Like the villain Scott saw in her) at Scott, seeing that this would be the end of his crusade for Ramona Flowers.

"You're so finished Scott, and Todd's going to make sure it stays that way. Forever. I might even perform at your funeral afterwards too (Not-So Fun Fact: Just like in the anime...)." Envy spoke, her poisonous words making Scott so angry. "Todd, you...you XXX! ENVY USED TO BE SO NICE!" He yelled, trying to take on Todd once again and even kick the XXXX out of him...

ROUND 1

FIGHT!

Only for the vegan rockstar to use his powers to throw Scott high up into the air (Scott's Note: Hey, is that our apartment I can see from up here?!) until he fell down again on a pile of garbage. Ramona would have told him to use a genius strategy, but Scott just got to his feet and charged towards Todd a third time, trying to pummel him with so many punches. However, being all powerful (As a Vegan), Todd conjured a barrier that protected him from Scott's attacks until he decided to drop said barrier and generated electricity (Both abilities of which were in the game) that electrocuted Scott and before the latter could even react, Todd grabbed him with his vegan power and slammed him into another wall.

Scott fell to his knees in so much pain after that, unable to keep fighting for the night. "I can read your thoughts. Your will is broken. You're through." Todd then said to Scott, the middle part telepathically. "I...dislike you..." Scott groaned as he tried to get to his feet in a fighting stance. "Tell it to the cleaning Monday." Todd smugly said to his foe...his words of course confusing everyone. "W-What?" Scott asked in confusion, surprising Todd. "Because you'll be dust by Monday." The latter explained to his foe, but still confusing everyone. "Uh what the hell are you on about, Todd?" Envy asked, even confused herself on Todd's wording.

"Because he'll be pulverized in three seconds. And the cleaning lady, she cleans up the dust. She dusts. And she has the weekend off, so Monday." After speaking Todd noticed how everyone was looking at him like he was an absolute idiot, which ultimately made him groan. "Screw it. Time to die." He said before trying to lift a convenient van to crush Scott with... Seconds later though, Envy grabbed his arm gently. "Alright, alright...that's enough Todd." She said, making Todd lose focus and drop the van, which crashed upon impact. "But Envy, I can just as easily take him down." He said, begging his girlfriend to let him finish off Scott for Gideon (Who didn't like failure).

"It's almost 3:30, and we've been here for a while. Let's just call it a night and we can finish it up tomorrow. You know, have sleep, breakfast and meet up around 1pm ad Honest Ed's, ok?" Envy then suggested while fixing her hair, planning another meetup the next afternoon. Todd was reluctant and really wanted to finish Scott...but then combed his hair. "Fine...but we still have unfinished business, Pilgrim. I and he." He said to Scott whilst pointing at him and then turning towards his ex, almost to say stay out of it Ramona. "He and me..." Scott corrected in annoyance, even clenching his fist and spitting towards Todd.

"Don't talk to me about Grammar, you puny little-!" Todd growled as he tried to punch Scott, only for his girlfriend to stop him by grabbing his shoulder. "Todd, knock it off." She said firmly (Not-So Fun Fact: Todd hates it when Envy gets serious like this) before the two, along with their drummer, walked away, just before it began to rain down on them. "Wait...why Honest Ed's?" Stephen then asked, pretty confused at that specific location. "Come on, Stephen...we both know Scott loves surprises, remember?" Envy said, smug but with a sweet tone in her voice. After she and her fellow bandmates walked off, Stephen and Kim rushed over to Scott to at least help him.

"Scott, you ok? Man that was crazy." Stephen said, helping Scott to walk after the latter nearly broke his leg from that fight. "I'll say. That guy was totally a complete jerk." Scott responded in agreement, sucking up the pain in order to walk. "So...I take it that guy was the cocky pretty boy you left Lucas for?" Kim then asked Ramona, walking alongside her as she helped Scott. "Yep...like I said, worst mistake of my life..." Ramona admitted, her head glowing (Like in the novels) at the memory of dating Todd for the remainder of her high school days. She kept quiet after that, feeling like she would explode if he tried to win her back.

"Man, this rain doesn't look like it's gonna stop anytime soon..." Stephen said, annoyed with the rain pelting down on the quartet. "Say uh...you guys wanna get some food? I mean, Pizza Pizza's right over there and totally open." Scott (Status: trying to help lighten the mood for his friends and girlfriend) awkwardly suggested, even pointing towards Pizza Pizza to the slight annoyance of his friends and girlfriend. "Ugh...well, I'd say not really, but what the hell..." Ramona admitted before they went over to the place.

Once inside Pizza Pizza...

Scott, Ramona, Kim and Stephen entered the building where they were surprised to see Wallace (Scott's Cool Gay Roommate. Status: Ordering grub) and Other Scott ordering their pizza, as well as Young Neil trying to comfort a disheartened Knives Chau at a nearby table. "Hey! Scotty and Ram-Ram! My favourite couple! So how's the night been?" Wallace said, greeting his roommate after noticing him with his girlfriend. "It's uh...not so good at the moment We just came from a show...a popular band, then things went downhill afterwards." Scott awkwardly said as he slightly limped towards the table where Knives and Young Neil was sitting at.

"Basically the band of Scott's ex." Ramona explained to Wallace and Other Scott. After hearing this, Wallace's smile turned upside down to a frown. "Envy Adams. God damnit, Scott, that woman put you into a vegetable state and you still went to see her?" He exclaimed, calling out Scott for being an idiot for just seeing The Clash at Demonhead. "Well it's not like I had a choice. Stephen said it was good for the band..." Scott then said, glancing towards Stephen (Emotion: Annoyed, from getting the blame shifted to him just because he wanted the band to get well known) slightly.

"It was a disaster. We sat in a dirty room with her for like seven hours while she smugly boasted about how great she was with everyone else, and the worst part, she had her drummer punch the highlights out of Knives' hair and sent her away!" Ramona exclaimed with anger, even gesturing to Knives' now highlight-less hair, and this made Wallace even more mad. "That unbelievable XXXXX! Nobody does that to Scott and Knives and gets away with it! I swear, when we see her again I'll-hey, is that my shirt?" He growled, cursing Envy for hurting Scott and Knives...or at least until he noticed the shirt Scott was wearing was his.

"Wait, this is yours?" Scott asked in confusion. "Never mind. So what else happened with her?!" Wallace then asked Scott, and boy did the latter have a lot to tell. "Well turns out, she's dating Ramona's third evil ex-boyfriend. Tried to take him on and found out the hard way that he's kinda tough." Scott said, admitting sheepishly that he idiotically tried to take Todd down on his own. "I'd give Scott an A for effort for trying to take him down though." Ramona then said, patting Scott on the back for at least trying, even Kim gave him a thumbs up to show she agreed.

All the while though, Knives (Emotion: So sad...) kept sobbing after her horrible night, and Young Neil had just about run out of ways to comfort her. "Y-You ok, Knives...?" He gently asked. "Just...nobody talk to me, please." Knives responded, not wanting to say anything else in case she kept recalling that moment. All the while, the others felt sad for Knives, the way she got hurt and turned down by her idol, Envy Adams, like the smug woman she was. "We have to take that band down. What Envy did to Knives, I can't let them get away with that." Scott firmly said while clenching his fists with determination.

"Don't worry, Scott. We'll train tomorrow morning." Wallace said, promising to help Scott out in fighting his ex...until he noticed the injuries he sustained, the kind that didn't look like Envy could ever make. "So who's the guy who did that to you?" He asked in confusion, causing Ramona to roll her eyes in annoyance slightly. "Todd Ingram. He's a vegan who's got psychic powers, electricity and can make barriers." Scott immediately explained to his roommate, who seemed to know what they were up against now. "Hey Wallace, don't you have a friend who's also psychic?" Other Scott then asked Wallace after hearing the word psychic.

"Oh yeah! Scott, I met a guy called Mobile." Wallace then answered in realisation. "Is...that seriously his name?" Ramona asked, a bit confused if Mobile could even be a name for a person. "Yep. He's slightly intense, or a lot intense, but anyways, he's currently at the bank machine so far, but he taught me a ton of cool tricks earlier on this week." Wallace said, making it sound like this Mobile guy was just the guy to help Scott out (And help him learn psychic powers if possible). "Are you sure it's not Chi or one of your gay chakra tantric special abilities?" Scott asked, a little unsure if the stories were true or not.

"Nope, Mobile is Psychic." Wallace revealed, the words of which began to gave Scott a handful of hope. "Wait, he's a vegan too?!" He asked with a possible realisation. "No, he's psychic for his own reasons." Wallace said, not what Scott was expecting of course, but still, this could be his chance. "Well could he help train me? Maybe if I get the right training, I could kick Todd's XXX." He then asked Wallace, almost sounding a little bit desperate yet determined to fight his third foe. "I don't think it's that easy Scott." Wallace bluntly responded back. Of course it wasn't easy...why didn't that surprise Scott? His hopes came crashing down within seconds.

Hearing all of this, Knives eventually sighed and got up from her table. "Ok, I appreciate you guys trying to stick up for me but...I'm going home now." She said to the shock of everyone else. "W-Wait, Knives...I can walk you home if-" Stephen then said, offering to take Knives home. "No. But thanks, Stephen..." She said before walking out of Pizza Pizza and all the way home. As soon as she left, everyone felt more sad for Knives, especially Wallace, Scott, Kim and Ramona. "You guys know what sucks?" Scott then said to most of his bandmates. "What?" Wallace then asked gently. "As if we even have to ask...?" Kim responded, knowing the answer before her ex even said it.

"Everything!" Scott exclaimed, nearly gaining attention of the whole building, but he kept himself from making a scene just in time. "Come on, buddy. Everything doesn't suck." Wallace then spoke, trying to reassure his buddy about everything. "No, I mean...it's just Envy." Scott responded, unable to get his mind off his ex (The bane of his love life). "Forget about that XXXXX, Scott. Just because she's back doesn't make it not over." Wallace said, confusing Scott and the others, but at least he made a huge effort to help him. "Double negatives, Wallace?" Kim asked, slightly annoyed with the confusion herself.

"The point is, we'll take her and her high-and-mighty band down one way or another." Wallace then responded to Kim, explaining what their main goal for the weekend was going to be. "By the way, Rammy...are you ok taking Scott to your place for tonight? I need our bed and...please, if you do this one thing I swear I will-" He then began, turning towards Ramona as he looked as if he was about to plead before getting interrupted. "Dude, I'm ok with it. Aside from the smell of trash off him and everything that happened tonight, how could I refuse a favor like that?" She asked. Sure she was cranky, but since it was Scott, she didn't mind his company.

"By the way, are you guys coming to Honest Ed's tomorrow?" Scott then asked Stephen and Kim, who both looked away, Stephen awkwardly and Kim in slight annoyance. "Busy scrapbooking. But I hope you survive." Kim said, not going but also wishing the best for Scott. "Yeah...we've also got band practice too..." Stephen pointed out to Scott, of course the latter already knew that part, but still... "Ok, point taken...I guess we're leaving now?" Scott then asked Ramona, who slightly smiled. "You read my mind...god I'm so tired..." And with that said from her, the couple left, finding a subspace door and warping back to Ramona's place.

At Ramona's Apartment

Saturday Morning...

Scott and Ramona were both fast asleep, having made out well earlier on...however, the two couldn't help but think about what happened, about Envy Adams and Todd Ingram, and more importantly...how horrible the two of them were together. Scott (First to wake up) had then woken up at 7:31, he turned to face Ramona, who did the same with him with a well rested (And loving-like) smile across her face. "You awake too?" He asked her gently. "Y-Yeah...it's not bad is it?" Ramona sleepily yet sweetly answered before yawning. "A bit unusual. God, I feel weird like...I'm not even totally here." Scott then admitted, unable to erase what happened yesterday from his mind.

"Yeah...I can't get Envy's smug face out of my mind either." Ramona then admitted gently, groaning at the memory as she turned on the light to her bedroom. "And Todd, man...he's an XXXXXXX. How'd you end up dating that meathead anyway...?" Scott then asked, wanting to know much more about how his girlfriend came to date Todd, and the backstory behind it all like usual. "Well, I might as well say if it'll help to defeat that smug XXXXX." Ramona said before sitting up in bed.

Flashback: (Ramona and Todd's days)

I was dating Lucas like I said earlier...

But the moment Todd walked by. Yeah...that was that...

One day, Ramona felt conflicted about her love for Lucas due to her own personal reasons...and then she bumped into Todd, and the two hit it off...

Lucas looked up from his locker to greet Ramona, but saw her with Todd, disheartening him entirely much to the obliviousness of Ramona.

It was horrible, but I used to be like that.

Todd and I were bad kids together,

Hated everyone, wrecked stuff, nobody cared.

For the next long while, Ramona and Todd got up to all kinds of nasty stuff: Kicking cats, smashing mailboxes, bullied freshmen, the usual stuff...nothing was left in their wake.

It was all great for us, but then Todd got into trouble and ended up going Vegan.

Ramona, one day very soon, looked for Todd, only to find him outside the principal's office where the latter was speaking to both his parents.

He disappeared after few days without a word for like three weeks...But then he showed up again.

Todd was absent from Ramona's life soon after that, and Ramona couldn't find him no matter where she tried to look.

But three weeks later, Ramona was in class, listening to a boring lesson, then Todd kicked open the door to everyone's shock and he looked at Ramona.

"I'm back, babe. Let's take a walk." He said to Ramona, who immediately, whilst mesmerised, walked towards him. "Uh, excuse me, we're in the middle of a class here." The teacher said, but Todd just flipped him off and left with Ramona.

We went for a walk...

Todd and Ramona walked whilst Todd explained where he was for three weeks. "Dairy Scientists? Is there actually such a thing as that?" "Dragged me off to their secret dairy lab and tested the XXXX outta me." "Well at least you got out, those guys sound like XXXXXXXX!" "They hate us vegans and truth-seekers. Thought they could keep us apart by doing this, but you're my hot little XXXXX, babe, and I'll prove my love to you."

Kissed...

Todd then gave Ramona an awkward adolescent kiss, which she found pretty disgusting.

and then he did the unthinkable...

"Also, you might wanna look up." Todd then said to Ramona whilst pointing upwards. "W-What? Why?" Ramona asked, but never got an answer when Todd just used his powers and teleported away.

He punched a hole in the moon for me. It was the most horrifying thing I ever saw...one of them anyway.

He then teleported to the moon where he used his power to punch a crater into the massive rock, hoping to show how well he loved Ramona...unfortunately, she was horrified by the move.

"Then what happened...?" Scott asked, stunned to hear that Todd would do something that crazy. "Let's just say...about a lot of explosions and tidal waves occurred (30 Pages in the novels) at the same time." Ramona explained, man, that memory was a horrific one she shivered at aside from...one other one. "Yeesh...that's definitely a good reason to dump his XXX." Scott said, assuming Rammy dumped Todd after that moment. "Actually, we both called it quits after graduating and going to different colleges. He went to Vegan Academy, which I heard was tough to get into." She explained to Scott, revealing how the two actually broke up.

"And where'd you go?" Scott then asked once more, feeling like this would somehow help him later...or not. "The University of Carolina in the Sky. You know, the place tethered to the mountains by a giant chain?" Ramona then answered, recalling the college she had went to very well. "Oh yeah...I think I remember that." Scott said. Sure, it wasn't like the college he went to, but still, he was impressed. "Well, I guess you want to hear about me and Envy..." Before he could even finish, Scott got cut off by Ramona at the mere mention of Envy. "Ew, not really...how about how you met Wallace?" She asked, surprising Scott.

This wasn't a question he was asked before, but since Ramona asked, well...I guess he had to tell her that story eventually. "Well, it's complicated...but basically we both met in college one day and then one day, he came to my place, appreciated my mom and I don't think we've been apart ever since. It was pretty nuts." Scott explained, recalling how just one day of a brief chat with Wallace lead to him becoming his roommate and best friend despite the craziness they had on the first month or so. "Well, I think I'd better get back before Wallace wonders where I am." He then said awkwardly, getting out of bed after that moment,

"Do you need a shower first?" Ramona asked gently, and after smelling himself (Q: Does Scott still smell like garbage? A: Yes he does), Scott figured he would, which would save him from taking one at home. "You know what, yeah...I can still smell the trash on me..." He admitted as he went over to Ramona's bathroom and turned on the shower. "Likewise..." She said to herself with a chuckle, a moment she was glad to have with Scott before the two of them had to meet up with Envy Adams once again later...

Over at Honest Ed's

At 1:00 pm

Scott, Ramona, Wallace and Stephen had met up with Envy and her bandmates at Honest Ed's as planned. Of course, as promised, Wallace helped to train Scott (Mere hours before it was time) for this fight as best as he could, though he was surprised they had to meet at Honest Ed's of all places. "Right, so quick question: Have either of you guys ever been in this place before?" Envy asked Scott and Todd (Status: Both ready to kill each other for Ramona), both of whom were busy glaring at each other. "Only once, and I sort of almost died." Scott admitted sheepishly.

"Gonna go with no here." Todd said smugly as he used his vegan powers to shield himself from the rain. "Right then. The idea here is that you guys go into this place, survive and get to the other end, and kill each other. I mean, there can only be one winner." Envy then said, explaining the rules (Wallace's Note: Sounds more like in a boring manner to me.) of this fight to Scott and Todd. "Oh, that reminds me babe. No vegan, psychic, electric or teleporting powers." She added at the last second, though the rule didn't phase her boyfriend in the slightest. "Eh...not complaining here." Todd responded while shrugging.

He couldn't go against his own girlfriend's rule, and he didn't have plans to either given his task. "And what's Scott's handicap?" Wallace then asked, suspicious of what Envy's rules for Scott were going to be. "Simple: He's no survivor." Envy pointed out in annoyance, the words of which offended her ex. "I'm totally a survivor! I beat two XXXhats sent to kick my XXX and came out on top, with the help of my friends and sister of course." Scott countered (Read the first story for more context) back with a frown, though he did mention having help at the same time. "Yep, my point being." Envy smugly said, even tittering slightly.

"You unbelievable XXXXX." Wallace growled, wanting to punch the smug look off her face (And really close to doing it too), only to be stopped by Scott and Ramona. "Ok, just to ask here...what's the challenge? I mean, it's only a store in Toronto." Stephen then asked, still confused much to his girlfriend's annoyance. "Have you seriously never been inside Honest Ed's, Stephen?" Julie (Status: Came here to see Scott die) asked, though sounding pretty dull like she usually would. "Not really. Why?" Stephen admitted. Still though, he couldn't help but wonder what was special about Honest Ed's, all to which Julie rambled on about how it was like a new-born baby that cried at the horror of being alive, which creeped out both Scott and Stephen out.

"Man, I so hate that woman with a burning passion." Wallace said while glaring at Envy, all before he huddled close to Scott and Ramona. "Wallace, I totally love you." Ramona said to Scott's buddy, though it DID slightly annoy Scott. "Guys, can we please focus? What's my strategy against that meathead?" He asked, hoping to gain some good advice on how to take down Envy's boyfriend in Honest Ed's. "I heard that!" Todd said telepathically to Scott, even glancing over at him with an annoyed look. "Well he's not allowed to use his vegan powers, so that should help." Wallace pointed out to Scott, which definitely was a great advantage to his buddy's relief.

"He can't not use them for long though, because he's too much of a moron." Ramona then pointed out, and just like that, Scott's fear came back to haunt him. "Ahem, I'm right here. I can literally hear everything you're saying." Todd (Status: He's getting sick of people trash talking him) called over to his ex. "I'm totally gonna die...just make sure Envy doesn't perform at my funeral when I do..." Scott whimpered, though Ramona did try to reassure him before he and Todd were called over to Envy. "Alright, let's get this show on the road." She said as Todd and Scott took their places at the store's entrance, almost like they were about to run a marathon.

"Scared Pilgrim...?" Todd whispered smugly to his foe. "You wish..." Scott spat back at his opponent before the pair turned back towards Envy. "On your marks...get set..." Envy began, starting the race with everyone else watching the two prepare to take off.

ROUND 2

FIGHT!

"SHAKE IT!" Envy yelled, and just like that, Scott and Todd were off, zooming (Not as fast as The Flash mind you) into Honest Ed's as fast as they could. "Fifty bucks Pilgrim dies in there." Julie said to Ramona, who looked her in disgust along with Stephen and Wallace.

Inside Honest Ed's...

SCOTT AND TODD THEN WITNESSED THE STARK EXISTENTIAL HORROR OF HONEST ED'S

"W-Wha...?! What the hell is this place?! It's...It's got...so much cheap stuff!" Todd exclaimed in shock...which then turned to surprise. He wasn't kidding, Honest Ed's had so much impressive bargains (Scott's note: It's a plague upon mankind!), all of which came at surprisingly cheap prices. "Yeah...nobody can resist prices like these." Scott said, resisting the urge to cry at the horrors he was witnessing. "Sucks to be you then, Pilgrim. My mind is highly trained to resist this stuff." Todd smugly said to Scott before leaping over an aisle shelf to punch him. But being the best fighter, Scott managed to counter the attack before roundhouse kicking Todd into a shelf and running off.

"Oh man...I've gotta find protective eyewear before I go blind to all this horror!" He said to himself, rounding a corner and going downstairs to get protective eyewear, only to trip and fall down the stairs, even hitting his head on the wall. "Ow...that hurt..." He groaned while trying to get to his feet, only to look up and see an evil looking cuckoo clock grinning at him, causing him to scream in panic and run back up the stairs. But that was nothing compared to Todd's breakdown. "Ugh...it's too much...prices...lowering...I'm f-fading fast..." Todd groaned, the mentality of his willpower fading fast due to all of the low prices.

All the while, everyone in the store looked at the boys like they were nuts.

Back outside...

"Father, forgive me! I tried my hardest to please you!" Todd's scream of emotional pain, from his childhood, was heard by Ramona, Wallace and the others, who were getting pretty concerned for their own boys (Not-So Fun Fact: Ramona isn't worried about Todd at all. Just Scott) and the sheer horrors they had to go up against inside the store, and not even five minutes had passed before the screams were heard. "How long have they both been in there now?" Ramona asked, showing her concern for Scott the most out of the group.

"Huh...not too long. We're just coming up on the two-minute mark now." Envy said in surprise, amazed that Scott was able to hold out that long.

Back inside Honest Ed's

Todd decided to go all out in killing Scott without using his powers, resorting to use a rifle assembled from household items...but didn't work when he tried to use it (Surprisingly realistic outcomes...you can never win with those...). Scott then used his items he had gotten to defend himself against Todd. It was rough, but Scott held his own against his third foe, who charged towards him at full speed. "I'm gonna kill you Pilgrim, even if it's with my last dying breath!" He yelled, charging through multiple people at once and didn't even care if he hurt them or turn them into a good amount of coins.

Eventually though, Scott got hit by Todd and slammed into the floor in so much pain. "Damnit, I was so close...I'm sorry Ramona..." He groaned in pain, seeing the malicious smile (The kind that only a psychopath would have on them) on Todd's face as he prepared to smash him...but only to stop when his mental capacity finally hit it's limit, causing him to have a mental breakdown, his memories throughout his life flashing before him.

"A vegan? Bah...you'll never be a vegan! You don't even have the willpower!"

"Just use your vegan powers or whatever you call them to destroy Scott. He'll never know what hit him, right?"

"Come on, Toddy. She'll never know."

All of those memories, all of those secrets he kept, all of the expectations on him and the repressing of his vegan powers finally got the better of Todd, ultimately causing his vegan powers (Overload status: Imminant!) to overwhelm him catastrophically. "MY BRAIN! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO IT, PIGLRIM?!" He screamed in such mental pain, the likes of which caused a massive earthquake in Honest Ed's. "Me?! You're the one who..." Scott began in annoyance, only to stop when he noticed the store was collapsing. "Uh oh..." He meekly said to himself in panic before trying to reach the other side of the store.

AND THEN HONEST ED'S IMPLODED.

The whole store then collapsed with everyone inside, turning into coins or just injured. All the while, the debris flew at Scott's and Todd's groups, but none of them got hit by any. But when the store imploded, Ramona and Wallace (Emotions: Worried for Scott's sake!) rushed towards the debris to try and find, and even help, Scott out. However, their worries were put to rest when he emerged from the debris. "I'm ok, I'm fine. Just nearly got crushed by the roof of this place, but I'm ok." He said to Ramona's relief, even shaking off the pain he had to endure during the challenge.

"Sorry Envy...that's on me." Todd apologised awkwardly to Envy after teleporting back to his girlfriend. Scott was helped back onto the street with Wallace and Ramona's help. "Well, looks like someone couldn't keep her psychic in check. Gott anymore bright ideas, XXXXX?" Wallace (Status: Getting his own back on Envy) then asked smugly to Scott's ex, who blushed out of embarrassment. "Shut up, Wallace. I'm thinking." She muttered while rolling her eyes. All the while, Stephen smugly looked at Julie before she looked back at him with a little bit of a nervous look in her eye. "So...about that fifty bucks..." He said to her, causing her to give Stephen fifty bucks.

Well...that certainly ended on an awkward note for Todd

Though we've got one more chapter to deal with in any case. So what's going to happen next time you ask?
