Conversation 79: Welcome Back to Earth Agent Johnson

Fitz-Simmons I: I just got an update from my husband.

Daisy and Leo are back on Earth and in Wakanda.

Purple Arrow: That's good. How are they? Do they have an update on Natasha?

Fitz-Simmons I: According to my husband, both are a mess. Daisy is really sad that Loki is with her instead of Natasha. Natasha is running another mission that Fitz can't tell me about over an encrypted line. We're under a communications blackout regarding everything involving the purple one. All I know is Yo-Yo and Bulletproof Pacifist are on her team.

Purple arrow: About time regarding the communications blackout. Why did they bring Loki with them?

Fitz-Simmons I: They had critical Intel that required in-person delivery. No one was happy about that.

Purple Arrow: Please tell me he's in handcuffs?

Fitz-Simmons I: Unfortunately, no.

Purple Arrow: It's for the best that neither I nor Coulson is there right now, even though I'm sure he would want to see his kids. Phil has enough trauma to deal with without adding Loki to the mix.

Fitz-Simmons I: Probably. Will you let Coulson know that they're back and mostly safe?

Purple arrow: You can come in. We're just watching movies. The two kids that don't hate me are here. I'm not 100% sure where Connor is right now.

Fitz-Simmons I: Muneeba has him. She's a professional at dealing with moody almost teenage boys. He is helping her cook dinner.

Purple Arrow: I want to know her secrets. He never wants to help me cook.

Fitz-Simmons I: I will come in in a little bit with food. I want to try to text Daisy and my brother-in-law first.

Purple arrow: See if you can set up a video call. Phil is going to need to see them.

Fitz-Simmons I: You are right about that. I need to see them.

"I am so glad you're back." MJ ran up to Daisy when she entered what Afia called the teenagers suite despite the fact her parents were staying there as well. It was more like a large apartment with multiple rooms. Everyone was currently sitting in the dining room, surrounded by food.

"It's been a horrible week with you gone, especially when we didn't know where you were." She could tell that MJ was very worried about her. It was nice to have family outside of the team.

"I'm sorry. I would've contacted you sooner if I could," Daisy reassured her cousin.

"It's not your fault you created a stable time loop," Afia commented beside her. "Ana may have been holding the messages back to prevent a paradox. But my baby sister refuses to confirm or deny that."

"She would." MJ sighed.

"I still can't believe I accidentally time-traveled," Daisy is still wrapping her mind around the idea that to everybody here, she was only gone for a week, not three.

"With Loki. I'm surprised he survived." Cindy remarked. She was currently sitting at the table filled with food which Daisy appreciated. She doesn't remember the last time she ate. It had to be before she saw Natasha.

"So am I. It helped that they apologized." And were under mind control at the time. However, she won't share that information with the teenagers as they are unaware.

"Where is Loki?" Cindy asked.

"Sylvie is in another meeting with Dad. But they'll bring them over here. They will stay in the room Flash is not using. The Dads want him close by. I think a force field will be involved. Daisy, you're in the room that MJ should be using. There's a door connecting the two." Afia explained.

"Just a force field? Not the brig? Do they have a brig here? Why are we using the name Sylvie?" Cindy asked.

"Sorry, I forgot to tell Cindy what was happening when I grabbed her for dinner." MJ apologized.

"Technically, Loki is not here, but Thor's sister Sylvie is. Loki died in 2013, and we will not be telling the rest of the world anything differently. If he were still alive, Loki would be in a Wakanda prison cell. Princess Sylvie is a guest of the Wakanda government in exchange for providing valuable Intel that will protect the crown. However, my dad is cautious and wants her close by. Think of it as secret house arrest." Afia explained.

"I missed a lot when I decided to go on that tour of the city," Cindy remarked.

"Yes. I will brief you over dinner. Or Afia can." MJ offered.

"It's going to have to be you or Daisy. I have to get back to the lab. But I promise to eat something later. I also tried to get Peter to at least take a meal break. Flash is currently working on that. I just thought you would want your cousin back sooner rather than later." With that, Afia left her with her cousin and Cindy.

"Does she need to eat?" Daisy asked.

"Yes, actually. Wanda is slowly making her human." MJ explained.

"That's new." Daisy commented.

"A lot happened while you were gone." MJ explained as she led Daisy to her bedroom. A new uniform was already laid out for her, along with a bag filled with toiletries. Daisy appreciated it.

"Like you have two boyfriends." Daisy joked.

"No, I have one boyfriend who has a boyfriend, but not really. I feel like we're just pre-dating right now. We know it's more than platonic, but we're just waiting for Peter to kiss one of us."

"You could make the first move," Daisy suggested.

"It needs to be either Peter or Flash because Flash will react badly otherwise. He's not entirely convinced this is a viable option." MJ explained.

"I'm just gonna tell you to be safe." Daisy is the last person to give anybody relationship advice.

"Give me 15 minutes to shower and change; then I'll be ready to eat." As an agent, Daisy has gotten very good at dressing fast.

"Good. Ana, do you think Flash will be back by that time with Peter?" MJ asked.

"The Princess just kicked him out of the lab. They should be back in the next 15 minutes." The AI responded.

"Perfect," her cousin replied.

"The Princess asked me to remind Agent Johnson that as soon as you're settled in, please report to the Palace infirmary for an assessment." Daisy groaned at that.

"There's no need for medical. I'm fine." Daisy reassured everyone despite being certain she had cracked some of the bones in her hands during the earlier fight.

"You were on a foreign planet for three weeks. Not to mention the fight that you just went through. I doubt that you're fine. I would feel better if you went to the infirmary. I'm worried about you." MJ told her cousin.

"I'm fine. I just need a good dinner." And a very stiff drink. However, she's probably going to have to go elsewhere since her cousin's boyfriend's boyfriend is in recovery.

"You are not fine, and I don't expect you to be. The woman that you consider your actual mom just…" Daisy cut MJ off before she could say the word. Daisy needs to pretend for a little longer that May is on an assignment somewhere else and will be coming back. She can't fall apart yet. Not until the purple monster is gone.

"I'm OK," Liar. "But I'll go to medical to make you feel better."

"Thank you."

"Let me change and eat first, though."

Fitz-Simmons I: My husband told me that you're back. Welcome back to Earth, Agent Johnson.

Quake: I wasn't planning to return until the mission ended. Unfortunately, we needed to come back to Earth to share intel.

Fitz-Simmons I: That's what Fitz told me. I'm concerned he couldn't share many details with me.

Quake: It's for the best. Loose communications are how the Avengers nearly lost in a different timeline.

Fitz-Simmons I: Unfortunately, I can't read about that timeline anymore since those records were locked down while I was talking to my husband. The Robin drawing database is also locked and removed from the network entirely.

Quake: I am not surprised. It's safer that way.

Fitz-Simmons I: Where are you right now?

Quake: MJ made me go to medical after dinner. However, I wonder if MJ did that so I wouldn't interrogate her boyfriend. I'm okay with that because I am too old to watch awkward flirting between teenagers. There was too much secret touching through dinner.

Fitz-Simmons I: That is a possibility. Are they actually together yet?

Quake: Not yet. MJ is waiting for Peter or Flash to act first.

Fitz-Simmons I: She probably will be waiting for a while. They all seemed to be dancing around each other when I was driving them to classes. I've been on teenager duty for the last week with Laura in the other timeline.

Quake: How was it?

Fitz-Simmons I: I have had worse missions. Thankfully there were no Watchdogs attacks while I was there. It gave me time to go through the intelligence between AP chemistry classes.

Quake: That's good.

Fitz-Simmons I: Because of the pregnancy, I am probably going to spend more time undercover at Midtown when this is over with.

Fitz-Simmons I: Oops. I didn't mean to say that just now. I wanted to wait until we were together to tell you.

Quake: It's okay. I already knew. I am so happy about becoming an aunt.

Fitz-Simmons I: Everybody was really excited, especially Ma… It doesn't matter anymore, I guess.

Fitz-Simmons I: So obviously, I am having trouble accepting what happened.

Quake: I am the last person to criticize you for not accepting what happened. I'm currently pretending that she's on a mission. I've been sending her mission reports.

Fitz-Simmons I: You do what is needed to get through it. If it helps you to email her, keep doing it.

Quake: How is Coulson?

Fitz-Simmons I: With Clint and the kids right now. I'm bringing dinner up. I'm hoping to get him to consume something other than the secret tea blend that we always keep in stock. I haven't had to give him a sedative for a while. I'm considering that a positive right now.

Quake: I am too. The doctor just gave me a better version of Xanax in case I need it. This may have happened after I asked where the closest bar to the palace is.

Quake: If worse comes to worse, just spike his tea with some of the special vitamin packs. I'm sure the team will have them there.

Fitz-Simmons I: That's not a bad idea. If you need something, take it. Just do your best.

Quake: I will.

Quake: Should I call Coulson, or is that too much right now?

Fitz-Simmons I: You should video call. But not until you're out of medical. Or probably in the morning. You need rest as well.

Quake: That is a good point. I'm unsure how much sleep I will get tonight, but I will try.

Fitz-Simmons I: That's all you can do. Do you know where Leo is? I texted him too, but he hasn't responded yet. I'm assuming Hunter took him back to their apartment. Or perhaps he's in medical next to you.

Quake: No, he is working on the time GPS with Afia. Leo is taking advantage of the fact that he is still on East Coast time. I think your husband will be there too, at least after he has some dinner.

Fitz-Simmons I: That would not surprise me.

Quake: I don't know if Leo is ready to talk to Coulson. He won't even speak to me. I'm pretty sure Natasha had us bring Loki back to Earth together to work through things.

Fitz-Simmons I: That seems like something your girlfriend would do. Leo is probably blaming himself for what happened. He always thinks of himself as the disposable Fitz, and I hate when he does that. None of us are disposable.

Quake: He does blame himself for what happened. But I think all of us do. If I didn't get sucked into the Rainbow Bridge, I would've been with her, and maybe it would've gone differently.

Fitz-Simmons I: You can't stop May from doing what she wants. It's impossible.

Quake: Maybe someday I will accept that, but not today.

Fitz-Simmons I: [four images attached]

Quake: That picture is so cute that I won't comment on the fact that AC is clinging onto his ex-boyfriend for dear life.

Fitz-Simmons I: We all get through things differently. This is how he gets through it. I'm not going to criticize.

Quake: Considering how I reacted to Lincoln's death, this is probably a healthier coping mechanism.

Fitz-Simmons I: Considering you both attacked Stark, you're not that different.

Quake: I'm not surprised. Stark just dropped off "Sylvie," so I'm back on Loki duty. I'll write more later.

Fitz-Simmons I: I expect to hear from you as much as possible. Be careful and good luck.
