Naruto/Fate/Sekirei crossover, enjoy. And before you ask just why I am making another Naruto-Gilgamesh and throwing in Sekirei and then bringing back Fate, here is the concept of this story;
4000-6000+ years in the past, Naruto is transported to the Sekirei Earth, half dead, but the god's find him and see his body as one closest to theirs and so Ninsun decided to save him by giving him some of her blood and a new name as one such as his was too foreign for the land and time which Naruto agreed but kept his real name secret save for a select few whom he trusted with his past and she explained that the world of man was drawing too far from the divine, and they needed Naruto to bind them together in a peaceful manner, but Naruto-a 14 yr old kid- was handed a literal kingdom under Lugalbanda just months before his death and told rule how you see fit-Thus leading to the Epic of Gilgamesh and all it entails-but here Naruto manages to succeed in finding the herb of immortality and decides to find a place to slumber once he realizes that while he has changed for the better, mankind will never change to what he had in mind once he began ruling wisely as his life of Gilgamesh near the end of his first reign.
And before you ask "Will the Holy Grail be the object prize of the holy grail war? Or the Sekirei Jinki? Or will MBI be the instigators of the Holy War as it seems like something Minaka would try and do. Sending forth "Angels" and "Gods" upon the world?"
here is the way that the Sekirei Plan and the Holy Grail War intertwine.
The Jinki and grail are two separate item's. The Jinki are similar to Chakra Fruits once devoured by Kaguya and the Grail is a man-made device that can 'cause miracles to happen' but as in the series has been corrupted. But, it's a mix up between both. Minaka finds out about the Grail war by happenstance (Higa Izumi's right-hand captures a mage when he witnesses him/her perform magic and now wants the Grail for his own gain without caring for anyone else) and he mixes in the Sekirei Plan with the Grail War as it pops off with his mad schemes behind the scenes as he hides it from the public but not the Ashikabi as he still tells them that the entire thing is 'Classified'
Summary: Awakened from a prolonged slumber, the King of King's and Wedge of Heaven arises to a world no longer his own, his garden now tarnished by the greed of man and ripped apart for her precious gifts. Lost celestial beings searching for a home, to find their destined loves across the planet but forced to fight against their own for another's amusement And on top of all this, the mage's of the Clock-tower begin their so called Holy Grail War for the power of obtaining true magic again, but this time, Shinto Teito is in the midst of powers colliding like never before. How can the Sekirei Plan continue when every day and night the powers of the world's greatest legends collide time and time again. And be forewarned, not all is as it seems...for even the divine will have their just dues.

They had only awoken a single life-form from the ship, and what they had learned was nothing short of astonishing. Her name wasn't pronounceable by human means, but she had opted to use a vastly shortened version of her name; Miyasato-Kami Inukai-Takeru-no-Mikoto, and she simply called herself Miya for simplicity's sake. Currently, the working members of the small crew who called themselves M.B.I (Mid Bio-Informatics) were looking over some technology and doing land observations to see if anything could be used to improve the awakening of the remaining Sekirei since the spaceship that Miya had came to the world with was severely damaged.
At most, the only thing that actively worked were the life support systems that powered the storage units holding the nine infants (each numbered from #02 all the way to #10) and some computer protocols. Gradually, if they managed to do actual repairs, they would begin the process of waking up the other Sekirei. Currently, one of the founding members of M-B-I was doing ground surveillance to see if there was anything that had been displaced when the ship had crashed, and what they had just located was nothing short of miraculous. A massive cavern that spanned several dozen miles of space.
It was the size of a city, and if the images they were receiving through the grainy images provided by the sonar machine were in fact correct... then there-in fact-was a whole city buried under the island of Kamikura. It was as large as Tokyo was, if not bigger, and there weren't many cities bigger than Modern Tokyo was at the moment. He put in a floppy disk into the computer connected to the radar and quickly saved the data to the disk and erased what evidence was on the system and shut it down before he rushed to a car and drove off to the ship where his colleagues were as fast-and safely-as he could without drawing attention to himself.
Upon arriving to the crashed ship, he called his colleagues and single alien associate into a secure room to reveal his information that he had discovered, "Are you sure Takehito?" a lovely woman with dark hair asked uncertainly, "I mean, if what you say is true, then this might be the second greatest discovery aside from Miya and her ship, but a city as large as Tokyo is now that far under the dirt, it shouldn't be possible." she shook her head.
"We'll send a submersible, surely there are some underwater caverns we can scavenge through to be safe." another man with dark hair said. And while he was all for discovering something like the Lost City of Atlantis-which was a myth... probably-he didn't want to waste valuable resources searching for something that might just be a glitch in the system. It was curious though, how an alien star-ship crashed, was discovered, and not long after what could possibly only be a city followed soon after.
Miya shook her head, "Don't bother, just use the ships own underground seismic reader, it'll give off accurate details of anything it finds." she told them.
"Well, it's a pretty big possibility it could be a glitch, is there anything you feel we should search for in particular? I mean, Limestone is weak to the salt produced by the ocean, copper gains a blue color from long exposure. Other elements would usually just break down and corrode, so there is no telling what exactly this phenomena might be." Takehito tried to tell her, "They might be right, I only came here to inform them of the possible discovery."
"Search for rare elements that are normally not associated with the area, then go from there. Use common things of today that wouldn't be found in such a place then go to the rarer resources, that's all I can really think when it comes to something like this." she shrugged her shoulders.
"Very well then, we'll defer to your judgement." Takami sighed.
"Why not just use the Floppy Disks data as a reference point for the ship to begin with so we can compare anything out of the ordinary. If really is something down there like Takehito thinks, then it'll be better to have something to work off rather than nothing." Minaka sighed, "I need a beer, it's definitely gonna be one of those nights..." he grumbled.
"If you're gonna drink, don't do it until they finish with that information search. Or do you wanna sleep on the couch?" Takami warned him.
"Yes dear..." the man sighed.
"I'll show you how to work the computer, then you can do your own thing with it, but only this computer seeing as it only works on a global system analysis program." Miya told Takehito.
"I'll head back to the dig site and continue my own search there, that way if anything happens I can keep you updated on it or you can inform me by phone in case I'm wrong." Minaka offered.
"Alright, if that's what you wish to do, I'll call you if we find anything." Takami told him as she stood up.
"See you guys whenever... I'll get started with Miya to see if there really is anything out there that warrants our attention." Takehito said.
"And I'll make sure that everything is correct on my end as well." Miya said.
"Alright, enough bullshitting, let's get to work and see if Takehito actually found something." Takami growled impatiently.
With that, the small group parted in their directions, and Minaka quickly got back in the vehicle and left.

"Ok, the adjustments have been made, we are ready to begin the examination of the data that you have given to us, whenever you are ready, you may begin." Miya said as she finished uploading the information into the computer. She then typed some more, and a holographic image of the planet appeared, then coordinates, followed by the image quickly zooming into their location. "Alright, we will see if this holds up, beginning scans of the area through the data." she sighed as she pressed several more keys, and to the shock of Takehito and Miya both, something appeared. The image of the island zoomed out quite a distance, then the topography began to shift as the ground shifted and began to build patterns that were symmetrical, buildings sprouting into form deep beneath the waters, deep beneath the sand and stone of the sea.
"I don't believe it...I was right, there is something down there beneath the water." Takehito whispered.
"Hold on, this structure here." Miya said pointing to one, "It's directly beneath the island, four hundred feet beneath the water, we can tunnel through it and see if there is anything worth finding." the Sekirei Pillar said.
"Well, that'll take time, we need resources to get that kind of equipment out here to the island to begin such an endeavor, and not only that, we need to make sure it's a well kept secret." he informed her, "I know, that you know, that the only way to keep the remaining members of your species safe is if this is done illegally through the black market and mercenaries. All of which we will have to cover up. This means Minaka will have us killing the Mercenaries upon their arrival with the equipment and destroying said equipment when it is all done." he sighed, "And it won't be cheap." he grunted.
"No, we may not need to go that far. See, look here, there is a very large cavern about two hundred feet beneath the ship, we can tunnel from over here using my sword and sheer power to dig at a angle that'll get us inside, but we need to be careful to not cut the ship or island apart, I can make the tunnel in a single stroke of my blade, but as you know the power and angle have to be specific in order to get into the cavern."
"How large is the cavern?" Takehito asked, "I can't understand your language so I'd like a rough estimate." she told the woman.
"Believe it or not, there is a large portion of what appears to be the temple we seen beneath us and about a quarter of a block of buildings all in the open, untouched and unmarred by time, everything else is buried under water and stone. we might get lucky all things considered, if we do it right." Miya said.
"If you want, we can gather rope and other climbing equipment, then you can work on the tunnel to the appropriate depth." Takehito offered.
Miya nodded, "If we find something down there, it'll be one of your peoples greatest discoveries." she said with a slight blush.
"Let's get started." the man said as he rose from his chair.

The crack of a pistol filled the air, and for each shot fired, a body collapsed to the ground. Three shots, three corpses. Minaka stood over them with a cold look in his face, and then he walked to the cliff and chucked the weapon into the water, soon followed by the bodies. He needed his plans to come to fruition and if anyone knew what he was planning, then they would surely interfere with them. Sitting by the console, he quickly began typing what information he could recall from the floppy disk, and when it pulled up what he wanted, the remaining information filled itself in.
He frowned and typed some more into the computer and printed the results off. Snatching the paper he hummed, so... there was something down there after all. Standing up, he quickly cleared the hard drive of anything pertaining to the discovery and walked back to the car and slowly departed back to the ship. He would remove the bodies later tonight, clean up the blood and other incriminating evidence of his murder's.

As the dust settled from the massive blast, a voice filled the air as two others joined the origin of the blast, "Alright, are you absolutely sure you have everything you need for this?" Takami asked, "We don't know what to expect down there, so we are being extra cautious. This air hasn't been breathed for who knows how long so pathogens are a high probability, that's why you both have the oxygen masks and tanks strapped to you. If you need help, simply press the button on the transponder device and it'll immediately let me know to begin pulling you both out of there."
"There are enough batteries to last at least two days apiece with the flashlights, I also took the time to pack some glow sticks, they should last about a week if used properly, and there is enough rope to allow enough movement for a couple miles apiece at the least. You have two days of food so don't be afraid to eat all of it and then message me on the little keyboard you have, I'll make sure you both stay fed. From what we discovered, there is a spring of fresh water roughly half a mile from where you'll be landing, head north and you'll find it." Takami informed them, "Keep the ropes on you at all times, do not, and I mean this with all seriousness, do not take them off unless absolutely needed."
"You sure worry a lot, you know that Takami?" Miya asked as she raised a brow.
"It's my job to worry about my friends, now if only Minaka will actually take things seriously then I wouldn't need to." the woman responded.
"Well, I'll make sure to bring you back a souvenir if I find any." Takehito joked.
"Make it shiny. For me at least." Takami snickered in response, "Now be safe, and happy searching." she told them.
Takehito nodded, "Alright, let's go, we have some discoveries to make."
"If the computers read that the air is breathable, you can remove the helmet's and masks, but just to be safe I pumped in some heli-ox mix into the tanks to allow you to breathe easier." she told them, Get going, before I change my mind and neither of you go down there." she smiled at them as the two quickly descend into the darkness below them, the lights from their helmets being the only sign of light.
"We are slowly progressing down the dark tunnel towards the drop-off." Takehito stated into the walkie talkie.
"Yea I know, you literally just left. Call me back when you reach the actually drop so I can watch the ropes so they don't snap and tear." she said back to the man.
"Yes mother." Takehito called back.
"Want me to ground you, then shut up and keep walking." she told the man.
The line stayed quiet after that.

Takehito and Miya slowly walked through the darkness, the angle that had been torn through the dirt and stone wasn't steep, but it wasn't gentle either, so they had to be careful of where they stepped. After about a hour of silence, they finally stopped as Miya reached out to grab Takehito by the chest, lest he fell off, "Geez, and here I thought you were smarter than you looked." Miya's muffled voice said to him.
"Yea, me too." he responded, "Takami, this is Takehito, we have reached the edge of the tunnel, we are proceeding to look to see if we have to jump or lower ourselves down the remainder of the way." he spoke.
"Copy that Takehito, be safe and don't fall."
Getting to his hands and knees, Takehito shined the light down below, and began scanning the darkness. Needless to say, he wasn't happy. With a sigh he dropped his pack, pulled out a flare, cracked it, and then held it over the edge before dropping it, counting the seconds until it disappeared from sight, "Ok, good news and bad news. Good news is it's a sheer drop into the cavern, it's about three hundred feet down, and the bad news is I can't see anything past ten feet." he said, both to Miya and to Takami.
"I'll go down first, I'll radio you if I need to call for help or something, though I doubt it." she said as she turned around and gave a wave, "And the rope is somewhat pointless, as a Sekirei I can make the fall without much trouble." she stated before she leapt off the edge, the rope immediately going taught and then suddenly screaming as the woman fell into the darkness, her light being the only thing Takehito could see as she descended into the darkness before even that faded from sight. It took about a minute later, but the call was a good sign, "Good news, You were right, there is something down here. Come on down, watch your descent, there are some sharp rocks I had to cut apart before I landed, and they just came out of nowhere. Your drop should be safer than my own."
"Roger that Miya, see ya in a few...ah shit, I just remembered... we don't have a way up... and there's no ladder or pulley that can drag our sorry asses up to the surface... ugh I'm an idiot." he moaned.
"Don't worry about that. I can leap a mile with ease, so anything we find can be brought up by physically pulling the rope once we get back to the landing zone I marked with a chem light, but be warned, when you come down this place is a mess."
Takehito gulped, looked across the ledge and down into the darkness, "You sure it's safe for me to come down?" he questioned.
"Yes, I cleared a fifty foot circular area around the drop area where I came in, I made sure the ropes were out of the way when I cleared out the area, the drop was well over three hundred feet but we should count ourselves lucky you brought so much rope in the first place." Miya told him.
Takehito gulped, checked his gear to make sure he was strapped in properly, "Alright, dropping in three... two... one..." and without a second thought, he forced himself to jump off the edge and into the hole. To say the human was scared was a understatement of the century. The initial jump didn't really have him swinging around like a monkey on a vine-thank God for that-but the near everlasting darkness sure did give him a eerie feeling of falling into the abyss from which he might never return from. As he continued to fall, he soon saw a small prick of light rising up beneath him and slowed his descent and soon planted his feet on the ground and sighed gratefully as he planted his feet beneath him.
Swinging his light around, he sighed as he laid eyes on Miya, "Hey Miya, glad to see you." he told her." he greeted the alien queen.
Miya nodded, "Same to you Takehito. Long way down wasn't it?" she said more as a joke than question with a small smile on her lips.
"Yea, my carabiner is so hot it feels like it'll blister my skin if I touch it." he told her.
"Give it a minute. It'll cool off from the colder temperature here." she told him.
"So, what can you tell me from what you seen down here?" he asked as he dropped his pack on the ground next to him.
"Well, there's some well maintained buildings despite the various rock formations that have built up through the ages since this place became encased however it was. However, while that is nothing major, it seems like the entire place is covered in them, ceiling to floor, some strange rock." she said holding a small rock up.
"What is it?" he asked as he took it from her, only to feel his eyes widen in shock, "T-T-This is... This is an Lapis Lazuli, a very valuable gem!" he said in shock before he pulled out a large flashlight and turned it on, and then, the darkness was ignited with various glowing lights as the beams struck a large formation which then shot the beams out in various directions, "By the Gods... It's a massive Geode, the largest one to ever exist. It must be miles long and just as tall, the amount of gems here could fund a single person for thousands of years." he said in awe as he put the flashlight into the crook of one of the gems, the light flickering as he settled it.
"Takami... you're not gonna believe this... But we just found the holy grail of all rock formations..." Takehito breathed softly into his walkie talkie.
"What, what is it?" the woman asked over the device.
"It's a geode, several miles across, half a mile or more in height, and there are gems lining every building down here, every road, every house... they cover everything. Rubies, Emeralds, Diamonds, Sapphires, Topaz, Amethyst, Garnet and Lapis Lazuli, any and every precious gem you can imagine and possibly more, it's all down here, the smallest crystal formation I seen so far is one the size of me, they built a entire city out of gems... and and gold too!" he said as one of the buildings shone in his light, "This place... it's the golden city, might even be the City of Babylon itself, from the legends!" he said excitedly.
"I don't care if it's the temple if Mount Olympus itself, find something aside from damn gems and stones that we can use, though kick starting a company wouldn't be to bad if what you say about those crystals are true... Get me several of each for a necklace, you know a girls gotta look good." she said before cutting off her speech.
Shaking her head, the lavender haired woman scoffed as she spoke up, "Look, a pathway." Miya pointed.
"Wow, these gems are so amazing, I was very wrong, a person could live forever with this amount!" the man laughed as he gazed around as he stepped onto the path.
"Takehito, do you want to look at rocks, or do you want to see what lies down the path?" Miya asked him, quirking a brow.
Takehito chuckled, "Right, of course." the scientist laughed as he quickly joined the woman as they walked along the path, the light from the crystals dimming a bit before Miya placed another flashlight in the crook of a large crystal, this time, the illumination was far more vast than what they had seen before, and what they saw astounded them. Houses built out of stone, with amazing intricate carvings, structures that were made by hand and maintained by unknown means. And in the middle of it all, amidst this desolation rise the ruins of an ancient Sumerian ziggurat, a massive stepped pyramid of massive stone bricks that was once the center of the city in ancient times. A sight of amazing ingenuity and beauty in its heyday.
"T-That's a ziggurat, b-but it's a Sumerian temple, how is it here, why?" Takehito said.
"Don't look at me, I'm new to this world." Miya huffed as she approached it.
"It's surrounded by massive crystal formations, you'll have to cut them down." Takehito pointed, and indeed he was right, massive crystal's of various forms surrounded the temple like a ancient moat would a castle... except these were massive gems worth hundreds of millions of dollars if not billions or even trillions of dollars.
Miya sighed, pulled her blade, and swung, a massive shockwave erupting as she sheered off dozens of massive crystals. As the dust settled she looked to the sole male, "That good enough for you?" she asked.
"Y-yea, it's perfect, thank you." Takehito chuckled out.
"Come on, the path is clear ahead." she said.
"Hey, Miya, question."
"What is it?" she asked.
"Do you feel, like all this, aside from the fact it's worth countless amounts of money, is something that was designed specifically?" he asked.
"You mean aside from each and every street, all the buildings in the open air, as well as this temple, are all essentially blocked off with a very minor pathway towards that water hole Takami mentioned? Then yes, it seems elaborate to me." she agreed.
"Yea, it's almost as if this place was specifically designed to push someone in a specific direction." Takehito said as he looked out across the dimly lit chamber, "Come on, let's head inside and see if we can find anything." he said walking up the slightly ruined step stones.
Entering, the temple, the two pulled out flashlights and turned them on, at the same time Miya pulled a bundle of glow sticks out and cracked one before dropping it on the ground. Re-strapping their packs, they ventured deeper inside. As they did, Miya would continue to drop the lights, and pave their path back to the outside in the already dark area. Pausing as she cracked a light, she blinked as she looked at a wall, "What's with the strange scratches along the wall here?" she asked curiously.
Takehito paused to turn around and walked back to look at what she had found and blinked in surprise, "It's called Cuneiform, it's a very old language, so old in fact that it's not even spoken anymore. It's roughly 5,000 to 5,500 years old. It's distinguished by its wedge-shaped marks which were used to write on clay tablets. In fact, cuneiform script is the oldest form of writing in the world, first appearing even earlier than Egyptian hieroglyphics. The earliest known writing was invented around 3400 B.C. if not earlier in an area called Sumer near the Persian Gulf. It was first developed by scribes as a bookkeeping tool to keep track of bread and beer rations in ancient cities like Uruk in the south east of modern-day Iraq, the system soon spread across the Middle East and was used continuously for more than 3,000 years, up until the first century AD. A interesting side note, there is a epic poem that is written in Cuneiform called the Epic of Gilgamesh describing the journey of a man who once ruled with a iron fist and cared not for the suffering of his people who turned into a kind and just ruler in which he who became one of the most beloved kings in history from which all other kings emulate him in some form or fashion." Takehito explained, "This is incredible. Never thought I would get to see this in my lifetime."
"How so?" Miya asked
"What?"
"How does this Gilgamesh become a good king despite his original rule being so harsh?"
Takehito smiled as he walked along, Miya following behind, "Well, it's a interesting tale, and despite it not being fully translated even to this day, it actually teaches us a lot about how a ruler can learn to lead properly, especially since Gilgamesh was a demigod."
"Demigod, what's that?" she asked.
"A demigod is a man or woman born from the union of a deity and a mortal, I don't know if you had stories of them back on your world or not, but anyways, Gilgamesh was a special demigod, he was born from a goddess and a demigod father which made him 2/3 divine, and the only one in history to ever have that much divinity in his blood aside from a god or goddess. Anyways, the Epic of Gilgamesh teaches us a lot." he said.
"We have something similar, we called these individual's Garde whom were born from the heavens and the people sacrificing themselves for a great cause, but aside from that, what exactly does this Epic Tale teach us?"
"The major teaching from the Epic of Gilgamesh is that death is inevitable."
"So he tried to find a way to prolong his life? To become a god or some sort of immortal?"
"Precisely, but before we can get to that, we need to start at the beginning." he told her, "You see, Gilgamesh had suffered all and accomplished all. He takes the young men of Uruk for his army and the young women for his bed. The people of the city would constantly cry out to the gods for relief from such an unstoppable force, prompting the rulers of heaven to create a being that would become known as Enkidu, a wild man of the countryside who lives a life of simplicity among the animals. But when the trappers of the wilderness finally grow tired of having game set free from their snares by Enkidu, they call on Shamhat, a temple prostitute of Uruk to come and tame the wild man."
"After several nights with the priestess, Enkidu loses his ability to commune with animals and seeks instead the company of his fellow humans in the city. There he meets, fights, and becomes friends with Gilgamesh, so that soon the two are closer than brothers. Upon such, the two of them together, travel to the Cedar Forest of the far north to battle the monster Humbaba and gain everlasting glory. These heroics acts catch the eye of Ishtar, the divine embodiment of sexual desire and procreation to the point she seeks Gilgamesh as her husband, but is rejected by the king. And as the saying goes, Hell hath no fury like a goddess scorned, so she appeals to her father to send the violent Bull of Heaven to wreak destruction on Uruk as punishment for Gilgamesh's rejection of her. Gilgamesh and Enkidu kill the beast, but this causes Ishtar to declare that Enkidu must die in retribution."
"Stricken by the loss of his power and life, Gilgamesh watches helplessly as Enkidu passes into death. The king who could conquer men and monsters could not stop his friend from perishing. So overcome with grief and helpless before the inevitability of his own death, Gilgamesh abandons Uruk and begins a search for the man named Utnapishtim, who survived the great flood and was granted immortality by the gods to hear his tale so he could learn how he too might live forever. On his long journey through the wilderness, Gilgamesh meets many others who help him on his way, from scorpion beings who guard the passageway of the sun under the earth to the tavern-keeper Siduri on the shores of the Sea of Death as she urges him to give up his futile quest for eternal life."
"But the king will not listen. At last Gilgamesh finds Utnapishtim and hears from him the story of the great flood that destroyed all of humanity except for him and his wife. After hearing the flood story, Gilgamesh tries and fails to stay awake seven days to prove that he is worthy of living forever. Given a final chance by Utnapishtim, he journeys to the sea, ties a rock to his feet and sinks to the bottom of the ocean to claim the roots of a plant that would grant him his wish. Finding the plant and gaining it takes many decades, and when he returns home, he decides to bathe and cleanse himself for when he gets back to devour his price. Unexpectedly, as he cleanses himself, he loses his prize to a crafty serpent as it eats the magical plant that would allow him to become young again. In the end, he returns home to Uruk, but all that is left for him is to admire the magnificent walls he has built, walls that will nonetheless someday turn to dust."
Miya felt herself blink, "That is quite the tale, he must have been something incredible if he went through such lengths only to fail in his quest for eternal life." she remarked.
Takehito shrugged, "Well, if anything it just shows that even hard work and dedication can only get you so far. I honestly don't feel anything for the man if he were real, it is just a myth for the most part, half the world don't even believe he ever existed and was used as a figure in a story." he said honestly.
"How so?" she asked curiously.
"The man cemented himself in history as one of the greatest rulers, yes it's true, but his intentions were never pure to begin with. He subjugated all known kingdoms with his army, thus bringing about a everlasting peace for the era until Queen Semiramis was born and all things fell apart. The ego's of those born of the divine, if they existed, are too great for this world, too much. They all overreached with their goals and would always suffer for it in the end. Gilgamesh was to greedy, to uncaring and that is what caused the death of Enkidu." he told her, "However, if he had wed Ishtar, then mankind would still be bound to the god's, so in some cases, he freed us of our shackles to the god's as the first liberator." he sighed.
"So he cared only for himself up until the end when he realized he had no option but to accept his mortality?" Miya questioned.
"That's essentially what it all boils down too, he wanted to live forever, but in obtaining his deepest desire, he lost his ultimate prize and was thus given the insight he was missing his entire life." he nodded, "Come on, there's still a lot of places we have to look through around here." he said cracking a chem light and dropping it to make a path.
Walking through the ancient temple, they found many things, gold and gems, weapons and armor, tapestries and mural's. There were a few crypts with remains buried within pure stone sarcophagi, but the final room they were about to enter would change everything for them. The door's they stopped at were made of pure stone inlaid with golden depiction's of a pair of men seemingly having many an adventure with one another. Precious gems were inlaid into the eyes and gold made up their clothing and weapons. Takehito hummed in curiosity but quickly let it die. Whoever rested beyond this door must have been a great warrior if they gave him such a room to himself.
With Miya's help, the duo opened the door and the flashlight in Takehito's hand dropped.
Why you ask?
Because, this wasn't a crypt, this was a seemingly ornate-room, the missing room which they hadn't been able to find. A ziggurat would usually hold a large series of crypts-up to eight to be precise-a cleansing hall, a feeding hall, a throne room for gathering the people for their tasks, and then the resting room for the authority figure. However, that wasn't what caused him to drop his light. It was what was contained within. It was a solid gold sarcophagus with gem's inlaid in it with the same story drawn across it's surface, a statue stood next to it, of a man with spiky hair and ornate armor and a unknown weapon in hand.
"M-Miya... do you know what we just found... like do you really understand what we just stumbled across?" asked the stunned human.
"Another room with another corpse?" she asked.
"This could very well be the tomb of Gilgamesh himself, and I am not trying to build and make assumptions, but I honestly think that his body rests in that box of gold..." he said in reverence, "We are literally standing in the bedroom of the oldest king in known history." he said as he ran a hand across the sarcophagi, "This could be the most historic discovery to date." he said.
"Well, it's not like we can discover anything from a rotting corpse that is most likely turned to dust, unless you pilfer the remains that are still there." Miya shrugged, "I mean, come on, it's probably empty." she said walking over to the box, "Think about it, do you seriously think that the people who built this temple would leave their ruler to simply rot away to the ages." she said as she began pushing the lid open, where the thick lid fell off and crashed to the floor before she cried out, "WHAT THE HELL?!" as she jumped back in shock at what she seen inside of the coffin she had just opened, seemingly for shit's-and-giggles.
"What, what is it?" Takehito said joining her quickly at the side of the coffin before he blinked in confusion, "What the fuck, how is this possible?" he questioned.
"H-He's perfectly preserved, no signs of decay or rot on him at all." Miya said as she went to place a hand to his face, to see if anything would change, only to gasp as she pulled back, "H-He's still warm..." she said in surprise.
"Wow, that's amazing, the body should have turned to dust by now." Takehito said as he looked into the coffin, "His body, it's amazingly preserved, and you said still warm? I have never heard of such a thing before." he said in awe, picking up the uncovered hand not bound in golden armor, noting that Miya was correct in that the body was in fact still warm, pinching the skin and watching it turn from white back to normal, "And look, he has capillary refill even now, that is strange." he said in wonder, "And, I know I just picked his hand up, but... he almost seems like the legends depict him... perfect..." he muttered before he pressed a couple pf fingers down on his jugular and jumped back in shock, "My god, this guy is still alive!" he declared as Miya gasped.
Miya grabbed her walkie talkie, "Takami, we found something, and you won't believe it even if you do see it." she spoke into her walkie-talkie.
"Get a emergency room for operation set up." Takehito spoke into his own, "And all the instruments you can get a hold of, we're gonna bring this one up personally." he said as he began to quickly try and pick up the golden haired man only to let him drop, in which Miya pushed him out of the way and picked him up, though with some effort before the duo and their cargo quickly vacated the temple and ran through the dark paths that they had traveled, the lights now considerably weaker due to the amount of time they spent inside the massive construct.
All the while, Takami's question's of what was happening and why they needed such equipment went unanswered as they reached their drop-off area.
With no option other than to leave Takehito down in the hole, she quickly tied the golden armored man to her back-with help-and grabbed Takehito and brought him to her waist and leapt up, the earth shattered and the massive geode shook as she jumped up, the air brushed pat their faces as they quickly ascended towards the top. As they reached the top, Miya gasped as she had to reach out and grab the wall of the hole she had cut lest they fall back down, and she quickly pushed Takehito onto the ledge before she had him help her bring the man on her shoulder's to join him.
Pulling herself up, she picked up the man and ran behind Takehito towards the light. When they left the darkness, they grunted as they came into contact for the first time in several hours. However, Takami was at the entrance and cried out as she was essentially ran over by the duo, "Miya, Takehito, what in heaven's name is up wi-" she stopped as she looked up and seen what they held, "What the hell, is that a body!?" she asked in shock.
Takehito helped her up, "No Takami, not even close, this man is still alive, come on we need to get to the ready room, now!" he said dragging her along.
"W-Wait, what, alive? W-What you mean, how is that possible, he's been underground for who knows how long, and you bring him up, he could be carrying an ancient disease or something, at least try not to contaminate anyone with all this!" she cried out as she gave chase.
"That's the thing, we need to ensure he's safe for us to look at, I mean I personally felt his pulse when I was examining him when I thought he was a perfectly preserved corpse." he said as he pushed open the room and motioned for Miya to drop him on the table, "On the table Miya, quickly." he ushered her, "And help me take off this armor, it must weigh a ton for you." he said as he began pulling off the man's ornate protection, with great difficulty Once the man's chest was exposed, they noticed the light rise and fall of his chest-Takami's gasp of surprise went ignored-and Takehito quickly went to work on setting up a IV and Heart Monitor.
"How is this possible?" Takami asked.
"We don't know." Miya answered.
"Ok, aside from the fact you have a seemingly living dead man, I need some answers, and I need them now. What did you both see down there?" she demanded
"We found a Ziggurat, Sumerian design, we entered, discovered ancient Cuneiform writings across many walls, and then found him... It's Gilgamesh. That's who is on that table." he answered.
"You said he was mythical figure, that he might not even have existed." Miya said.
"I know!"
"How did you even come across him all the way out here, he's from Iraq for Pete's sake!" Takami stated.
"I know, and that's what confounds me!" he stated.
"Inoculate him, against anything and everything, we don't know if he's even carrying a disease or if he will be suceptible to our current era." Takami stated as she opened a cabinet and began pulling out many of the vials within, "And to think we were gonna be waking up the young Sekirei and checking on them in the next month, and now you bring out this guy, hell it might not even be Gilgamesh!" Takami growled.
"Explain that to the coffin we found him in." Miya responded.
"Taking a blood sample, there is no way this man should still be alive, he was sealed in a stone and gold coffin for thousands of years, he should have suffocated long ago and rotted away." he said as he paused a needle into his arm and drew out the single vial of blood to study, "I want to know how he is here and why he is still alive even after being put in such circumstances." he stated as he walked over to the microscope and pulled out some of the examination slide and dripped some of the blood on, pausing to look at it, "Amazing, his blood is glowing..." he muttered. Takehito turned and looked at the man on the table, various needles pushing into him in rapid succession, and he noted that the sheer amount and purity of the raw energy flowing from his body seemed divine.
He was like a golden pillar of power that demanded all to kneel before him in reverence. Looking into the microscope he gasped. There were tissue samples he needed to collect now, "Takami, give me some tissue samples from his arm!" he called out to her as she handed the rest of the needles to Miya and extracted the sample and handed it to him before returning to needle the man some more. Quickly removing the blood sample, he put the tissue sample in the scope and was amazing. This man was a divine being. In fact, every fiber of his muscles, and every drop of blood in his veins, is overflowing with a power so pure it could all be called divine.
"This is incredible." he said aloud as he turned around, "Takami, take a look and tell me what you see from the samples." he said in excitement.
"Can it wait, trying to stick a man with a needle here." she responded with a growl.
"I'll handle the last of the needles, you need to see this." he told her as he took the remaining five needles and quickly pushed her towards the table, "Right now." he emphasized.
"Fine, fine I'll look." she grumbled before she pulled off her gloves and pressed her eye to the scope and pulled back, "You can't be serious." she stated and turned, "What did you put in his blood?" she questioned.
"That's the thing, that is his blood. It's why I asked for the tissue sample." he said, "It's the same." he told her.
"A mix of double and triple helix DNA, that's not normal Takehito." she responded, "Standard DNA Strand's are double helix strands, this man has a Triple Helix DNA mixed in with Double Strand, that's not human." she said as she pulled out a thermometer, "Give me a temperature reading from him." she demanded as she passed it to Miya who went to do as asked, "The average human body temperature is 37°C (98.6 F) if he is anything but, then this will change everything about human anatomy as we know it. Now, the critical human body temperature is 46.5 °C (115.7 °F) where it is almost certain death will occur." she remarked as Miya gasped.
"What is it?" Takami asked.
"H-His body temperature... it's 96°C (204.8°F)" she answered as she passed it to the woman.
"What, that is more than double the normal critical body temperature of a regular human making his internal structure the hottest living organ system in the world!?" Takami said in shock as Takehito joined them.
Is that even possible?" the man asked, "Check-check again to be safe, the gauge might be broke." he said.
"I did, this thing read it as what I just told you." Miya told him with a serious look, "If I was lying, then why would I bother telling this to you to begin with?" she asked him.
"Who the hell is this guy?" Takami whispered in shock.
"Someone who is definitely not a ordinary person." Miya agreed.
"Yea, no shit Miya." Takami responded heatedly.
"Do we even know anything other than he has a extremely high internal body heat, he is somehow alive, and he was buried under the surface for who knows how long?" Takehito asked, "And I am not saying that he is Gilgamesh, but somewhere and somehow he was placed in a coffin with the very stories of the Epic depicted." he commented.
"I say we wake him." Takami said, "2cc adrenaline should do the trick, rouse him from his slumber." she commented.
"Are you crazy, he could go ballistic, he might not take it to kindly we woke him, he won't even be able to understand us!" the man responded.
"I could create a miniature translator if that is the case, put it around his neck in a small piece of that necklace he has." Miya said as she pulled the article off his neck.
"Where the heck... how'd we miss that... and... is that, solid gold?" Takami asked.
"Of course it is, he was wearing a full armor suit of gold and earrings and a necklace of the stuff, there is no telling how he acquired it all." Miya responded.
"Probably had it made or given to him, one or the other." Takami grumbled.
"Regardless, we could make the translation device, install it into the gold, and then wake him, shouldn't take no more than ten minutes. Besides, something tells me that sleepy here wouldn't wake up regardless if we made a racket or jostled him, hell he slept the entire time we were making our way here." Miya pointed out which calmed the two scientists down considerably, "And it's not like he or us are actually going to be going anywhere anytime soon." she shrugged, "It'll be fine I'm sure." she said as she walked off, taking the necklace with her as she departed for another section of the ship to do as she had said she would.
"Somehow that comment does not fill me with confidence." Takami mutters. She then walks over to a cabinet with various vials of medication and searches through it for a specific vial. When she manages to find the vial, she withdraws it and sets it down and then grabs a very large needle.
Seeing this, Takehito narrows his eyes, "Takami... what are you doing?" he asks her.
"It's Etorphine." she said.
"Etorphine?" Takehito blinks as he shakes his head in confusion, "That's a drug for knocking out large animals like whales, why do you have that here of all places?" he asked.
"It was Miya who told me to get some." she answered honestly.
"Well, ok, why are you pulling out a drug that is licensed by the government for veterinary use only?" he demanded, "Etorphine is available legally only for veterinary use and is strictly governed by law. Hell, this bottle alone can cost you a $5,000,000 yen fine and life imprisonment." he told her as he pointed to the bottle
"Veterinary-strength etorphine is fatal to humans." she answered.
Takehito felt his eyes widen, "Whoa, hold on a second, you plan killing Miya!?" he yelled out.
"No you idiot." she responded, "It's for the man on the table, if he proves to be a threat, I'll inject it into his system before he can cause any actual danger to the rest of us. 10cc of Etorphine can knock out a 30 ton Killer Whale, and would kill it with double that, merely splashing it on the skin is lethal, it's why the government is so strict about it." he told her.
"Why the hell are you prepping it anyways, and aside from the fact that sleepy-head on the table could be dangerous, it makes no sense." he said.
"I have kid's, Takehito, and I would at least like to come back home to them and see them grow up and have families of their own. What do you have aside from the Inn that your father left you when he died?" she stated.
Takehito remained silent. Takami did in fact have kid's, a two year old boy and a one year old daughter. It was a very valid reason to want to use a drug that had a potency well over a thousand times than morphine on the man, but even then, just injecting regular arsenic into the man's blood would have killed him just as easily. He sighed as he stood down, watching as Takami prepped a large injection needle with the lethal drug and set it on the counter. The duo remained silent as the woman went on preparing a light dose of Modafinil, a drug which would wake him from his slumber, a much smaller dose which would rouse him at only 3cc dosage.
About five minutes later, Miya returned and looked between them, "Ok, what happened?" she asked.
"Oh, grumpy here is annoyed I prepped some Etorphine just to be only the safe side." Takami sighed.
"Isn't that the drug I asked you to get for when you begin readying the rest of the Sekirei so they could be put to sleep for adjustments?" she asked in confusion.
"Yes, but for people like us, it's like a poison, lethal injection has nothing on this stuff." Takami pointed out.
"Well, ok." she shook her head, "Translator is ready." she said holding the golden necklace up where the two doctor's nodded as she proceeded to place it on the mans neck.
"Ok, strap him down, we don't need him to fly into a frenzy when he wakes up." Takehito said as he motioned to the women to help him secure the man to the bed, which they both could agree was a smart move to do. With the man properly secured and the necklace in place around his throat, Takehito swallowed a nervous lump in his throat, Takami narrowed her eyes while Miya had her sword on her hip in case she needed to mow him down to protect the others.
"Let's wake him." Takami said as she held up the needle, flicked it twice-as all doctors seemingly like to do-and placed it to his neck, "I can't believe I am about to wake a dead man." she grumbled, and put the needle into his neck and injected the drug into his system and pulled the needle out.
Just in time too, the man's eyes shot wide open, a pair of crimson eyes with a vulpine slit filled with awareness. The straps didn't last so much as a second as the man ripped them off his body as he shot ramrod straight up in the bed, his eyes looking around wildly as they tried to take in the world around him, and the crimson orbs settled on Miya, and the sword she held in her hands as she looked ready to pounce. He had already seen that the room they had him restrained to was to small to actually fight in, and before they could cry out in shock, he leapt out of the bed and literally ripped a hole in the wall as he punched through it with raw strength and ran out.
"Miya stop him!" Takami shouted as she pointed a finger towards the hole.
Without even responding, the god-like woman gave chase and followed him outside, the path clearly available to follow as he simply punched numerous holes into the hull. She reached the outside world and looked around, seeing neither hide or hair of the once sleeping man, however, her superior hearing picked up something flying through the air at high velocity, causing her eyes to widen as she looked up and swung her sword in time to deflect whatever had been thrown at her. A clash of metal filled her ears as she felt her eyes widen in shock at what she witnessed. In the span of a second another sword clashed blades to her own, followed by another, and then another.
She barely deflected them, and given how her full speed was faster than the peed of sound itself, this was a shock to her system. This was a human, a species with low physical prowess and even lower physical endurance, and yet, this man was throwing blades at her faster than she could perceive, forcing her to block them on instinct alone. When the barrage had finished, she looked up and saw the man whom she had witnessed crashing through the vessel that brought her and her other members of her species to this planet hovering in the air, flying without any machine or outside source to achieve this.
"Who are you?" she demanded.
Her answer was for the man to narrow his eyes, and to her shock, a sleuth of golden disks appeared behind him, and to her shock, the hilts of numerous blades started emerging as they took aim at her.
Well, that explained where he got the weapons from.
And then, she was on the defensive again as the blades somehow began firing like a human machine gun at her, the clash of her swords and his firing them filled the air as they clashed, cuts appeared across her cheek, over her arms and down her legs as she was overwhelmed, but held on her defensive posture as she deflected nearly all of them, and then, one of the swords struck her katana and knocked it out of her hands, ending the barrage on her as she growled and leapt at him, the earth shattering as she took to the air with him. However, she gasped when something wrapped itself around her ankle and she suddenly found herself being whipped around before getting slammed to the ground, a large explosion of dust and rock filling the air.
The unknown man landed on the ground, his eyes still narrowed as he watched the unknown woman leap out once again, but he was more than ready. She had regained her weapon and had it aimed at his chest, but he didn't seem scared of the Sekirei pillar in the slightest. And why would he be, he had shown he was capable of overwhelming her in an instant when they had first clashed. A split second before she could run him through, she gasped as she jumped back, and a metallic sound filled the air, followed by a rush of steel chains flying through the space around. One wrapped around her sword, ripped it out of her grasp, another wrapped around her neck and slammed her down as more and more wrapped themselves around the goddess and immobilized her completely.
"What are you doing?" she demanded as the golden haired human stopped.
"I know you can understand me, the translation device is active once it is installed, so answer me, what are you doing?" Miya demanded.
"I don't need inferior technology." The unknown man snorted as he grasped the necklace and pulled it off with a sharp yank, and then to her surprise, physically crushed it in his grasp and then dropped it to the ground in a heap of trash. He then opened six portal's behind him and prepared more weapons, aiming them at Miya as he went to kill her for challenging him in such a manor.
"Wait!" Takami's voice called out stopping the man as she ran out of the ship and stood between them, "Please, don't hurt her." she pleaded, "She was only trying to restrain you so you wouldn't harm yourself or us when we roused you from your slumber." she stated.
"Stop Takami, it's useless, he's crushed the necklace and the translation device inside it." Miya told her.
"What?" she asked in surprise.
"Shit, Takami, stop, you can't get between the two of them!" he said as he barreled into the group.
"Takehito, what you doing, get out of here, you too Takami, he's already too strong even for me!" Miya said as she struggled to free herself from the chains around her.
While this was happening, the blonde haired man raised a brow. These mortal's were strange.
"Wait, wait, wait, calm down, he hasn't attacked us, and he's restrained Miya, maybe he can understand our intentions." Takami said as she looked to the man, "I understand some of the older Dialects from my time in college, maybe I can converse with him." she said.
"Are you insane, he's beat me!" Miya called out, "He can't be reasoned with, and look, he summoned chains from thin air!" she called out.
Takami ignored her and Takehito both as she looked to the man, "Can you talk? Understand the words that I speak?" Takami asked, slowly, nervously. The blond cocked his head as he turned his gaze to her, "What you must know..." as she spoke slowly to try and ensure he understood what she was trying to convey, "I have studied many thing's. Medicine, History, Science, Mathematics', Changes in Culture Evolution throughout the ages." she said as she came to a stop a few feet away from him, "I have studied the text of the Old Gods in my youth." she told him, only for the blond man to speak, in perfect Japanese at that, shocking her as his words filled the room for the first time.
"The old gods..." he spoke slowly, the group gawking, but Takami gulped nervously as he continued, his gaze never wavering as he spoke, "Your language, is simple... what you truly wish to know is... what lies beyond the veil of death to know what I have seen." he commented.
"Some of us, yes." she said, trying not to think about her lover, "Other's just wish to fill in the missing blanks of the forgotten history lost to us." she spoke honestly.
"You will know all of what I know, when you die of old age in sixty years time, Takami Sahashi, Second in Command of Mid Bio Informatics. I can read your words just as easily as I speak them. The age of Your Old God's has long since ended for three thousand years, my God's still walk this plane of existence simply because I still walk on this earth. So as long as I breathe in this cursed world, my age will never die so long as I exist. Weakened they may be, but the god's of my people still thrive enough to influence this Garden I have claimed." he told her, "I forged this garden into the heaven it is so that mankind can live freely and happily, but now, you all wish to subjugate yourselves to those whom see you as nothing more than insects under their feet."
"Your medicine's, science's, mathematics', everything you know in this day and age has already been wiped away once before for mankind to start anew, but can it be saved a second time is the question. Overstepping boundaries has to be punished in one way or another, and this era is coming close to what it once unleashed in my time." he spoke.
"You mean, a mass extinction event?' Takehito asked drawing his attention.
"Your people know of this event as the Great Flood in which the heaven's wiped the world clean of all life with the exception of every animal breed and a select few humans who designed the vessel of life to carry them into the new age when all others were removed, my people called it The Cleansing. It's happened many times, but only sliver's of this information ever survives into a modern era, but dies just as quickly as it is discovered once the age is wiped away once more." he stated.
"You said a second time, but then stated multiple times the world has ended with all life, I don't understand." Takami said uncertainly.
"To you, another cleansing would be the second time that the God's have remade the world, but to me, it would be at most the fifteenth. Life for mankind has existed for far longer than any of you can hope to comprehend, but it is the god's who ultimately decide on what to truly save from the current era." he told him.
"Ok, while the history lesson is nice and all, but can you please let me go, I gotta itch on my nose." Miya whimpered.
He ignored her, "Where am I?" he questioned Takami specifically, "What era is it?" he questioned.
"Ok, well, that's progress." Takami swallowed.
Takehito spoke up, "The year is 1998 CE, of the common era, you were found in a temple by myself and the restrained woman that dates back to roughly 3500 B.C.E, before the common era." he answered.
"I know what the term BCE and AD mean mongrel, I know a lot of things. I meant to ask, what is the state of the world, my garden currently?" he demanded.
"Y-Your-Your garden?" Takehito asked before shaking his head, "I assume you mean the world itself?" he asked as the man nodded once, "Well, it's divided into various governments and countries, no one man rules the world or vast kingdoms anymore. Mankind has evolved past the king monarchy for the last four hundred years and only has them in place as symbols of power without the actual power to do anything." he answered.
"Who are you?" Takami asked, "You know us, being able to understand our language and writing with a glance, but what about you, you were found in a Sumerian coffin." she stated.
"I am Gilgamesh, King of King's and the Wedge of Heaven itself." he answered her, "Now tell me, mongrel woman, why are you waking me from a slumber I placed upon myself?" he asked her.
"G-G-Gil-Gilgamesh?!" Takehito asked in stunned shock.
Miya and Takami felt their their hearts skip a beat and their mouths dry in shock from the words the man had spoken, "That's impossible, Gilgamesh died well over three thousand years ago!" Takami said as she stepped back.
"And yet I stand before you as regal and powerful as I would in my youth." he said with a snort, "So... Five thousand years huh... strange... The air is different than what I am used to... tastes... smells... different than what I am used too..." he said with a mutter as he walked away, the chains dissolving into golden dust, the supposed demigod walked towards a cliff and stopped as he looked out over the sea, "There was once a prosperous city here... and now... all that remains is the sea..." he said, downtrodden, "What has become of my home?' he questioned as the three silent mortal's stopped behind him.
"The world has changed since you went to sleep, King Gilgamesh, more than five-thousand years of history have been lost to the ages. Your people are the known eldest with writing and technology for improving life, the first of firsts. Sumer fell after you seemingly vanished and then returned only to die." Takehito answered, "The age where God's ruled is long since over, the world of man has taken its place." he told him.
"Where am I, if not the city I had built?" he questioned.
"You are on an island directly above the city you once ruled. Me and Miya were the ones who brought you up to the surface. We had thought you were a well preserved body, but discovered you were merely resting, and so we brought you up and woke you." he answered honestly, "You and your temple were encased in a massive rock formation, a geode as we call it, made up of rare gems of every type and the city of gold was encased inside along with your temple in which you slumbered." he told him.
"I know that much, I wrapped the city in the gems to protect it when the disaster struck us..." he shook his head, "The memories are still foggy, I... I passed out and can't remember much..." he said shaking his head, "Tell me, mongrel, why did you wake me, why did you not let me die with the rest of my people?" he asked.
"I assume that is impossible for you now." he answered, Takami and Miya remained silent, "I believe that sometime during your journey to find the Herb of Immortality you somehow not only found it as depicted in history, but someway managed to eat a portion of it and gained immortality if not a form of pseudo-immortality." he answered.
"Unlikely, a snake took it from me while I was cleansing myself. I watched it happen with my own eyes. I only ever collected it but was I never consumed it, and it was the only one of its kind in all of creation." he answered.
"Well, then what about the God's of your era? You said they still have influence, maybe they granted you long life?" he questioned.
"Me and the God's have a distant relation. I spoke only thrice with them as a group, and I never wanted Immortality until Enkidu perished in my arms in the depths of Kur." he spoke.
"Well, then I have nothing that could answer such a quandary. it might be due to your blood as a demigod, it could be because of a multitude of things. I can't say, but we cannot in good faith push such a person of your stature away, it'd only ruin us." Takehito said.
"If that is your wish, then so be it." Gilgamesh spoke, "I will... attempt, to live by the modern standard, now leave me, I must be alone." he told the man, "I will not leave, for I know you desire information." he said, sitting down on the ground to stare at the sea before him.
Takehito turned and went to walk away, only to stop before he moved away, "It's not a bad thing to be lost, sometimes darkness can show you the light." he said kindly before departing. With his piece said, he figured the ancient man would either take his words into thought or ignore them. He was a king in past era's, but now he was a king without a kingdom. Curious, what would he do, how would he move forward now that everything he knew had changed from what he had seen and remembered.
"So, what do we do?" Takami asked him quietly.
"It's as he said, let him gather his thoughts, and then we will see where he goes. he has confidence and pride in spades, but right now, he's a bit disoriented and wishes to gather his thoughts." Takehito said.
"Whatever, so long as he leaves the younger Sekirei alone then I will have no qualms with him being here on the island." Miya snorted.
"Why would I harm a child, much less a foreign being whom entered my Garden without my permission?" Gilgamesh demanded, not turning to face the group, "Silent though you may speak, but do not mistake my silence for complacency, mongrel woman. I can and will kill you if you test me to much, and I am not afraid of this world's powers, because I can contest anything they have and throw it right back with ten times the effort to challenge." the ancient king snorted.
Miya swallowed a lump in her throat. His words were not a lie. He had already defeated her with extreme ease. He had somehow managed to conjure up weapons from the air and restrain her with chains in a similar fashion. She had nothing except her high physical prowess and sword skill to fight with. She wasn't like her fellow Sekirei whom all had been bred and born with their abilities naturally. If she, the strongest of her race, could not fight such a foe, then who could hope to match this man now that the only being capable of fighting him had long since perished? She didn't want to admit it, but this man, Gilgamesh, he terrified her to her core.
Takehito cleared his throat, "R-Right, of course." he said, "Come on girls, let us leave his majesty to his own thoughts." he said as they departed back to the Sekirei ship.
Once they reached the ship, Miya and the other's returned to the operating room where they had brought in Gilgamesh and woke him, the destruction wasn't as bad as they had thought, but he had left behind the armor they had brought him in with there, the table was broken in two, the computers inside shattered and the medications stored were safe, if only because of the ballistic glass they were stored behind. Trash was scattered across the floor, but it would be cleaned soon enough. Takami sat down on the overturned stool and sighed, "Well, that could have gone FUBAR real quick." she muttered.
"Not how I would put it, but I can see where you come from." Takehito agreed.
"Well, I'm just glad he ran out through the east wing rather than the north and south, wouldn't do if he had killed the little birds who need to see a world they can learn to love." Miya sighed.
"West Wing holds the sleeping quarter's for you and the crew, but it wouldn't be much of a loss, it's a bunch of cots." Takami shrugged.
"This level of the ship holds many of the key sections, lower decks hold weapons and armor, sciences and medicines, and other decks store food and clean water. Many of them are untouched from the crash, but the damage is there." she answered.
"You know, now that you mention it, aside from waking up a supposed dead man, when did you wish to wake the younger Sekirei?" Takami aske her.
"We can do that in a few days, once the repair droids finish undoing the damage that the gold man caused." Miya answered, "I refuse to believe that someone is immortal, despite the fact that we found him in such a manner, he could simply be lying about some of the things he has told us." she stated, "And his skill, to sharp to be from training, those were instinctual skills he used when he brought me low." she huffed, "And his armor, too heavy for humans to lift despite its composition, but a Sekirei like myself had enough of a hard time even moving him from that place to here."
"Well, Gilgamesh is said to have held immense strength, enough to rival that of a hundred men, when he wasn't fighting or fucking the newly wedded virgins." Takehito spoke.
"Language, Takehito." Takami stated.
"Well, it's true." the man said.
"Yea, and that may be, but you are in the presence of two women, you need to learn to speak formally and not as crude." Miya added her two cents in.
"So mean, Miya." he pouted.
"Ah, Takehito-kun, Takami-chan, Miya-san how are you... what happened here?" Minaka's voice called out before he entered the room and paused at the damage around, "Did one of you piss Miya-san off?" he asked.
"I swear, you two are terrible when it comes to your use of language." Takami huffed, "And to answer your question, no, we didn't." she said.
"Ok, so who got mad?" he asked, "I mean, the room is a mess." Minaka said.
"It's a long story." Takehito sighed.
"Well, we do have time." Minaka said, "And besides, it's not like we are going anywhere for the time being anyways, so what exactly happened here?" he asked.
"Well, it started when..." Takehito went to explain what exactly had transpired, the location of the massive air pocket underneath the island, the city encased in the massive geode and all the wealth it contained, the city and Ziggurat, and the tomb itself. The armor was shown, the blood-what was left-placed under scope for seeing, and then waking up their new... acquaintance and the beat-down Miya received shortly after.
"So... the King of Uruk has somehow managed to find his way into the era of man, fascinating." Minaka remarked, "I would very much like to meet him." he said happily, "The things he must know, the sciences and medical practices long since lost to man, oh how exciting." he said happily.
"I wouldn't bother, he's a bit of a punk, and he doesn't like to talk to us much." Takehito said, "That and he wishes to be left alone." he added.
"Well, he might come around, you never know." Minaka shrugged.
"Whatever, don't cry to me when he ignores you." the other man stated while raising his hands in the air.
~XxX-The Next Day-XxX~
Miya walked out of the damaged hull of her vessel and inhaled deeply, the smell of the morning air soothing her nerves as she tried not to think about her easy defeat by the now awoken man they had brought to the surface. She enjoyed the freshness of the air, the purity of the morning, and all it had to offer. However, she was brought out of her musings when she heard the sound of something digging into the dirt and then digging again and again. Strange, was someone digging out soil samples this early? Miyajima was supposed to be coming back in later in the week for samples and then helping wake up some of the Sekirei where she would help teach them the ways of earth.
Rounding a rock outcropping, she paused when she saw Gilgamesh of all people, tilling the soil of the island, using a hand tool to dig through the tough ground. It was strange, here was a man touted to be the greatest of all Kings in this world, and yet here he was, trying to make it look like he was becoming a humble man. However, what really went through her mind was, where did he get the hoe? The tilled soil he had done so far was roughly ten feet by twelve feet, so he had clearly been working for some time if he had done this much, but by hand, it would take hours to get this much done when he could have used something else to do the work for him.
Stopping to wipe the sweat off his brow, he held up the hoe where it glowed golden and vanished into a flurry of golden particles and opened his hand where a pouch of leather fell into his grasp. She watched curiously as he opened it and then knelt on the ground, working whatever he had stored into the pouch into the dirt he had moved around, covering and patting the soil silently through the early morning as dawn approached in the winter morning. He was quick, filling each of the mounds with whatever he had inside and then when he had finished with the dirt, she watched as he walked over to a large rock, called out the hoe once more and dug a trench to the tilled soil and then packed an opening where the two slits met.
Walking back over to the rock he drew back a fist, and punched his hand through the stone before pulling it out, where to her surprise, a gout of water began to flow out and fill the slit and then the tilled soil. With his work done he sighed, "You know, you didn't have to watch me, mongrel. The least you could have done is helped." he said, "A king should not have to labor away on his own." and he turned to her.
"So, you knew I was here?" Miya questioned.
"Since the first moment you walked out of your vessel." he affirmed, "Tell me, you look like a human, but claim to be from the reaches of the stars, why did you come to my garden?" he questioned, "And be truthful, I can sense ill intent and such." he spoke.
"Our world was dying." she answered honestly, "You see, long ago, when my people were on the brink of collapse, the government agreed that should the worst happen the best thing to do would be to send out a select number of vessels with a limited number of passengers. Eight spaceships were sent out, and they all reached Earth as earth is the only known species to us that has a similar genetic code as us. Each ship contained 108 life-forms inside. One pillar and 107 baby birds." she told him, "One of the ships crash-landed and suffered severe damage; only the "Pillar" and eight of the Sekirei within survived. Another, the one which carried me and my fellow Sekirei, crashed in the sea and stayed submerged up until a year ago. The rest of the ships landed in various locations worldwide, and the Sekirei aboard them gave rise to the myths and legends of gods and heroes that have passed down through various cultures over the span of human history."
"Well, I guess I can forgive the slight to your arrival in my garden, survival means coming together in some cases." Gilgamesh hummed, "So, how long has it been since these ships arrived, I may have seen something back in my era." he stated.
"Nothing like that long ago, sorry. The Sekirei have only been on earth four roughly two thousand years, so at most the oldest stories you would see or guess would be stories pertaining to those of the first century onwards." she shook her head.
"Well, I remember a lot of things." he stated as he sat down on the ground, watching the water in the soil mix, "Did you know, I met with the First King of Jerusalem, David. A wise ruler and caring individual. Always giving everything he had for the betterment of his people. He was a sheep herder before he became a king, and I find that interesting, a man with no nobility or noble blood rising up to unite a world where it needed guidance. I was his court advisor, having no want or need of a kingdom since mine was gone for a thousand years at that point, but I figured I could help the little dog when he needed it while I was rebuilding Babylon and her glory to the best of my abilities."
"I know some of the stories of this world, but that is one I am unfamiliar with." Miya admitted.
"Yes, I would assume it would be, many of the stories I have are just memories of a old man." he sighed, "I guess I should clear the skies, the storm is coming, and it will be a bloodbath if they got to close." he muttered.
"Huh?" Miya blinked, "I-I don't understand." she stated.
"We have guests, unwanted mongrels seeking wealth where they will only find ash and dust." he spoke, "Go inside, protect your people, I will handle the rest. Now mongrel woman." he growled as he pushed her away.
"If they are here to take me and my fellow Sekirei, then they can fight me, I don't need your help!" she responded heatedly.
"It was not a request woman, as King of this Garden, it is my duty to put petulant children in their place when they misbehave themselves. Worry not, this shan't take long." he told her.
"I don't give a damn if you say that, this place holds my little birds and it is my duty to-she was cut off when Gilgamesh appeared in front of her and lashed out three times, striking her sternum, then her neck, and finally punching her in the temple, the Sekirei pillar falling to the ground unconscious in an instant, "By all that is perfect, why wouldn't you just listen to me?" he questioned as he watched a panicked Takami and Takehito run out and then towards him, "I already know, so take her with you while I handle things out here." he commanded them.
"W-What, how?" Takami asked as she looked at Miya on the ground unconscious.
"I hit her really hard woman, now, take her and go. I will clean this mess up while you protect yourselves during my campaign." he smirked, watching the humans run off, unconscious Sekirei Pillar in tow, "And to think, I only just finished this crop garden this morning. For these interlopers to try and destroy the glory of my work, none of them shall live." he growled. Rolling his neck, he held his hands out and then made a few motions before the blond planted a palm on the ground, "Earth Style..." he intoned deeply, "Mobile Core" he commanded, and the ground sunk before he commanded the earth formed a cover and hid his work away.
His body glowed golden with radiant light, golden metal appearing around his limbs as it crawled up to envelop his chest, protruded off his shoulders and then his glorious armor was upon his flesh once again, crimson energy took shape and grew off the lower portion of his perfect armor, a long cape fluttering in the wind as he reached the edge of a cliff, and watched as a vast fleet approached. He had no knowledge of the current era, but even he could see that thirty ships was a bit much. An American carrier strike group holds nine ships total, but this was more than nine. But, what he could see was that they had various flags of different nations signifying that some of these people had come together to plunder the resources and walk away with it all for themselves.
They would not so much as touch this sacred land in which he had stood upon. Their trespass would end in their blood filling the waters. The demigod inhaled as he closed his eyes. His power flowing through his veins as he peered ahead, their plans to put their metal machines on the eastern beach and then those flying aircraft from the north, the ground men from the west and the ships would push around to the south for a full surrounding maneuver. Hmph, well then, if that was how they wanted to play, then he too would play their little games. He disliked using his chakra-magic was superior in his opinion-but needs beget the wants as they said.
Raising his hands, he formed a cross with them and called out, "Shadow Clone Jutsu" and three pops of displaced air, and he gazed upon his own perfect form in three area's next to him, "Kill them all." he ordered as he walked towards the vast fleet coming from the southern sect. The three clones each strode towards their own area's of the cardinal points to prepare themselves. Gilgamesh had reached the southern edge of the island, watch as several smaller vessels peeled away from the larger vessels, his eyes seeing the machines that could roam over harsh land and people surrounding them. So, they were mixing in groups, how strange.
He likened the strange vehicles to that of the modern calvary, the people with the strange shaped pieces of metal were the newer weapons to replace swords. Hmph, he would let them reach their points of insurgence, but they would not get very far. As King, it was his duty to lead from the front. These people worked for false leader's who sought to fight from afar and not with their men as cowards. He would show them their folly. The sun was beginning to rise, so he could see what they were trying to accomplish, sneaking in and taking anything that wasn't essentially buried into the land in which his glory stood.
As it stood, it would take these insurgents roughly thirty minutes to begin their initial invasion, but he would let them prepare before he showed them the rightful power of a king. That weapon was unneeded and as such he would allow it to slumber, Enki would show promise, but where was the fun in using a bow to sink a ship using the water around it? They weren't king's so he had no need of any of those blades, and he wouldn't pull them out regardless. Hmm, decisions decisions. Melammu Dingir? Nah, he didn't wanna weaken himself in such a horrid fashion, and the cannons needed to be physically pulled into place to properly work, so they were out.
Hmm?
He looked up and sighed as he watched a series of long metal tubes being fired at him from the vessels. Did they really think that this would do anything to someone like him?
BOOM~
CRASH~
BOOM~
KA-BOOM~
BOOM~
CRASH~
The missiles struck true and exploded violently around him, fire and smoke from the missile's filled the air as they struck the golden man with the force of a meteor.
On the ship, the captain sneered, "See, boys, even weirdo's like that man need to learn that fancy armor won't protect them." he said with a snort.
"B-But sir, he was unarmed, and posed no threat, you just murdered an innocent civilian!" a crew-chief said.
"Who cares, he was on a unexplored island in the middle of the ocean which hold's who knows what and-" he is stopped when something pierces the window of the ship and stabs into the mans chest and shoves him into a wall and impales him to the steel of the vessel, much to the shock of the crew, "What the hell!?" a crewman asked in shock.
"Where did that come from?" another asked in panic.
"Is that a spear?" another questioned.
"How did that thing manage to pierce a three inch glass window and four inches of steel?!" another shrieked out.
"Uh-Uh guys, I think we might have a problem here..." a radar man said.
"What is it?" another officer asked nervously, they were still trying to come to terms that their captain had just been impaled to a steel wall.
"That man... he-he's still alive. he said pointing to his monitor.
And he was right, for up on the cliff, standing with but a few scratches that were quickly fading away thanks to his powerful healing, stood Gilgamesh in all his glory. His armor was untouched, his skin unbothered, his glory all but daring them to make the next move. He had killed all the leader's on each of the ships that had attacked-all of them with exception of two-his glory, and he had shown them their folly by executing them for attacking their king in such a disrespectful manner as was his right. He sighed as he shook his head, these fools needed to learn the concept of patience. He would admit he wasn't exactly prepared, but common curtesy would go a long way for them here.
The sound of something screaming through the air filled his ears before he turned and watched as dozens of aircraft approached him, unleashing multitudes of their own attacks upon him, enveloping him in a ball of fire and destruction in an instant that was twice as powerful as the initial bombardment from the ships. However, to the shock of each of the pilot's, something flew out of the flames and carnage. It is a golden and emerald ark, a high-tech vessel that would make even the people at Area 51 pale-faced, fueled by a solar crystal, rutilated quartz crystals, that burns mercury as fuel. It surpasses the laws of physics by traveling at the speed of thought, and it can easily outpace a modern jet while Gilgamesh is simply playing around. It has a pilot throne that can be withdrawn in emergency situations, and a control column.
It is capable of many things the modern world is now in nearly all its war-fighting ways on it's own where the factions split their focus, including flying in a zigzag motion, deploying its wings to travel at high speeds, employing emergency evasion techniques to avoid collisions with other Vimana, optical camouflage and stealth functions, communication interception, the use of laser beams, and the deployment of biological weapons. It is also completely indestructible, as it was a construct built by the Primordial God's before the age of creation began, and much like that weapon was vastly superior to these fools who challenge his authority as the king.
On it was the man in golden armor, but the main question was where had he called this vehicle from? As the planes gave chase to the golden aircraft, knuckles cracked as another marched out of the dust, "So, you fools wish to test the limits of my patience, very well then, consider my limits reached." he growled as he opened a golden portal next to his hand and held an open palm towards the golden light, a large hilt protruding from the weapon, "It's no Mountain Cleaver, but this blade should show that I am at least taking this insolence seriously enough, Mongrel's!" he yelled, "Slice apart and rend asunder all of my enemies, Yoru!" he commanded.
The large blade as black as obsidian was swung, and from the blade, a green blast of energy shot out, cutting the water, and then three of the ships behind, the explosions rocking the sea's, "Cut them apart again, Yoru!" he ordered as he sliced horizontally, the green blast destroying ten more in an instant. With a grunt he dismissed the blade, "If that doesn't teach-" he grunted as he watched each of the remaining vessel's unleash dozens of their weapons simultaneously upon him, "You mongrel's really need to learn to let a King finish his speeches, what happened to respect for your elder's?" he asked, and as he finished speaking he was bombarded once more by the vast arsenal of missiles.
The bombardment lasted for three minutes, the ships firing all the missiles they had towards the island. Dust, fire, stone, and debris filled the air and when it all finished, the blond stood tall as a mountain, unscratched, unburnt, and angry, "I have had enough of this child's play. For attempted regicide, I hereby order your immediate execution. For tarnishing my garden to destroy its beauty with your weapons of destruction, I hereby order your immediate surrender in which leads to your immediate execution... this sentence is hereby carried out... IMMEDIATELY MONGREL'S!" he roared, a dozen portal's opening behind him as the heads of massive ornate cannon's pushed out.
"Melammu Dingir... FIRE!" he ordered, and the powerful bombardment unleashed essentially... well, let's just say there was no debris from the ships, "Huh, and I had thought I would have to drag those pesky things out fully, This works too I guess." he sighed, "Now, about those machines, I'm curious about them." he hummed as he headed towards the machines on the ground. Walking towards the eastern portion of the island, he could hear explosions fill the air before he crested a hill and paused, and then shook his head. Apparently the mongrels had all dismounted their tiny vessels to try and move into place on the other section of the island and met the one clone.
He snapped his finger's and dispelled the clone, shocking the tank operator's and the infantrymen. They looked around, trying to find the man that had given them a hard time, and Gilgamesh had to withhold a facepalm before he gave a sharp whistle, "I see my clone has given you a bit of a hard time playing around with each of you, but now, I the original have come to give you a single warning." he stated, "Surrender, and your transgressions against me will be rewarded, fight me, and execution is the lightest sentence I will carry out." he told them, "I have sunk all of your large vessels out in the sea on my own, your aircraft are facing my own, and will soon be destroyed if they do not stand down in the next ten minutes."
"I am loyal to those who are loyal to me. Pledge yourself to your one true king, Gilgamesh, and I will reward you with all the wealth you could dream of here and now." he said, trying to make a different approach. A single portal opened, a golden chalice lowered itself into his hand, "Deny this opportunity, and you will die screaming in agony as I kill you." he told them. And with this ultimatum, he opened twenty of his gates, prepping all of them with weapons to unleash upon these mongrel's, "What do you say, work for a king who pays you more for your value, or die like dogs for a rabid master?' he smirked.
He wasn't given an answer from the infantrymen as a tank unloaded a single round on him, the explosion filling the air as dust and fire filled the air. The men were shocked, but at the same time, relieved, this guy was a pain in the ass to fight and; BA-BOOM, the tank was crushed as a golden form landed on top of it and crushed it beneath heel, "That is strike one, anyone else wish to challenge me?" he asked. When the tanks opened up three minutes later and the men inside crawled out, hands in the air, and the others dropped their weapons he felt satisfied, "That's what I figured, Mongrels." he nodded.
The main thought going through the various soldiers wasn't about surrender, but wondering if he could crush a tank simply by stepping on it, what would a fist to the face do if he decided to fight them.
"U-Uh, excuse me, sir, but how did you do that?" one of the men questioned.
"I belong among the heavens, my power is that of which is divine, so this is effortless for one such as I." he said pleased.
"This fight didn't feel right, almost as if the rules of engagement didn't exist." another grumbled.
"I am the rules!" Gilgamesh huffed in response, the man in question stiffening up, only for the blond to laugh, "Rule-Breaker!" he laughed, "Go ahead, it is funny, you can laugh, I won't get mad." he said as the man looked at him uncertainly.
A crackle of static filled the air before one of the soldiers looked to the golden armored man, "Apologies for interrupting, Sir, but sixteen of the forty aircraft have surrendered to you, but with the ships destroyed, there is no place for them to land." he told the blond.
"Hmm." Gilgamesh hummed, "How much space do they need to be able to safely land then?" he asked.
"Several hundred yards total, but for quick take off, four and a half acres, sir." he answered.
"This island is small, but it has the room for such a trivial thing." he said, "Head towards the north sector, there you will find one of my associates, tell them you have surrendered yourself to your King, and they need to be nearby to watch over you. Leave your machines and weapons, they will not be touched here, move around the beach and with your hands in the air once you reach the northern sector." he ordered. The soldier's nodded and immediately began to do as they were told, some placing their hands on the backs of their heads as they began to walk, others behind them as they followed, but what Gilgamesh noted was that the entire group was a clam gathering, though they held a nervous look about them.
Well, best to give them a very good reason to be afraid of his anger, but not just yet. Hmm, what to do, what to do? Axe of Marduk? Heaven Cleaving Bow? Mountain Cleaver? So many choices, so many idea's. He needed something big, something flashy, but something that could prove a point. The Axe of Marduk could cut the mountain apart with ease, the Heaven Cleaving Bow would punch a hole through anything it touched, the Mountain Cleaver would cut anything in twine, and it also made a good platform if what he seen was true. Very well then, Mountain Cleaving Sword it was.
Waiting for fifteen minutes, and using his Clairvoyance, he nodded in satisfaction when he seen the group arrive at the ship, kneeling on the ground and putting their hands behind their heads in a sign of surrender. Holding a hand out in front of his body, he lifted it up overhead, a massive golden disk of light appearing up overhead, drawing all the islands new inhabitants and old alike to look upon the majesty of his power. A massive blade began to slowly fall through the golden portal from the more far reaches of his beloved Gate, more and more until a five hundred foot blade had been unveiled as the end of the hilt started to emerge, eighty feet of divine metal slowly emerging until it fell towards the island.
"Come, Ig-Alima!" Gilgamesh commanded loudly, his voice echoing across the island.
The large group of humans were-rightfully-terrified as the sword fell from the sky towards the island, but rather than fall as it had been unveiled, the massive weapon's hilt tilted it to where it would land with the massive blade facing the sky. Gilgamesh grinned excitedly as he leapt into the sky to intercept it, his hands grabbing the hilt of the sword, the pack of aircraft circling about with their pilots inside watching in both shock and awe as the man landed, cratering the earth beneath his feet. Straining under the immense weight of the blade, Gilgamesh was brought to his knee as he groaned in effort before he begun to push the sword up above him, so as to not get smushed beneath its immense weight to where he'd have to return it to the vault.
Twisting his hands slightly, the sword's metal girth groaned eerily as it fell towards the earth, nearly over the group of soldiers and three original inhabitants, but to their shock, the blade began to turn, and then, it cleaved off the top of the mountain in a single stroke of the blade. A roar of exertion followed shortly after, and then, the blade was slammed down with the force of a meteor, the island shook, the people stumbled abut and fell over themselves before it ended just as quickly as it started. A massive cloud of dust had erupted from the aftermath, but was quick to settle, and there on the top of the mountain, slightly tilted as it leaned against the massive flat bed of stone, was Ig-Alima itself.
"It isn't exactly flat, but then again, it is a divine construct, so they have to make due." Gilgamesh grinned, "Who knew starting a kingdom in this era would be so fun?" he asked himself as he planted a hand on his hip. Nodding in satisfaction, watching as the Vimana glided through the air, the former enemy aircraft slowly following behind to land one by one on the massive blade, then slowly taxi towards a flat spot on the now flat mountain and park where the pilot's climbed out, hands raised as they slowly walked down towards him where the golden king had them kneel before him, and soon he had thirty men and women before him, prostrating themselves in reverence as they should have been.
"You all serve me." he commented, "Your lives are only spared due to my mercy. Today, your fleets have perished for standing against me, the king, and your surrender has been accepted so as to bring you into my command." he stated loudly, "To you, I am the enemy that destroyed your fleet, your people. However, I am not a enemy to you. Your leader's see you as pawns for their own agenda, I however see the value in those who simply want to find a way to survive. You have pledged yourselves to me, thus you are all under my protection. I told those other men who surrendered to me that I am loyal to those who are loyal to me." he told them.
"I am a man of my word, and I do not turn my back on it. If you work for me, and you will never want for anything, but if you betray me, then my anger is the last thing you will see before I execute you." he said, "I will allow you to contact your families however which way possible, one time. You will tell them that you are alive, but will inform them that you are moving them elsewhere so as to protect them." he informed them, "As my new citizens, it is only right that each of you have your loved ones with you rather than fight across a demented world where selfish people ask you to make a sacrifice they themselves are incapable or unwilling to make."
"From here on out I, Gilgamesh the King of King's, promise this..." he said trailing off, "Never falter in your duties as my subjects... and I will not waver in my rule." he told them, "I will honor each of you with enough wealth to bring anything and everyone you wish to bring here, and we will build a prosperous new world where none will want, none will fight, and none will die needless death." he told them.
"GIL~GA~MESH~!" Takami's shout filled the air as she rounded a outcropping of the rock.
"Ah, the Mongrel who likes waking people from their slumber." he remarked.
"Do not! Start with! ME!" she yelled as she and Takehito walked up to him, "Do you have any idea what you've just done?!" she demanded angrily.
"I believe I have protected the island singlehandedly, as a King should with his property." he said waving her away.
"And in doing so, have essentially declared war against the North Atlantic Trade Organization, they are the single most powerful union in the world!" Takehito told him.
"And this means... what to me?" Gilgamesh asked them blankly, "I literally got woke up from a fifteen-hundred year sleep yesterday evening." he crossed his arms, "No thanks in part to your work." he pointed out.
"We were going to let Miya kill all of them then wake the next generation, but you captured some of them, and some even claim that you are trying to build a army!" Takami screeched.
"They work for me, yes, but make no mistake, while they do, they get paid respective amounts. The three of you do not have any money to spend, and your company is small with very little in terms of expansion. With these soldiers here, you can have a small ground force with a minor air coverage to protect your island assets until you are ready to leave this place." he told them, "You need to say thank you for protecting each of you, and allow me to do what I have sworn to these men and women whom have pledged themselves to their one true king." he said brushing past them.
"I don't give a damn if you are the king of a fallen kingdom or not, you don't just do this kind of thing Gilgamesh, what if some of them have ulterior motives?" Takami demanded.
"Then they die, simple as that." he waved her off, "A dead enemy is a nonexistent enemy." he told her, "I come from a time where this was commonplace, me subjugating my enemies is my right as King of this world." he explained.
"That's not how you settle such instances Gilgamesh!" Takehito called out.
"I am the King, my word is law!" he called back, "Now come, I want to speak with my new subjects." he told them.
~XxX-xxXXxx-XxX~
Gilgamesh stood before the crowd of roughly a hundred people, he had on a regular outfit that would allow him to present himself as a member of the modern society. Having talked to Takehito about what people of the current age wore, he opted to wear a white button up long-sleeve shirt. Over the shirt is a black jacket with a white zipper and lines that ran down the shoulders and around the wrists. He had on black jeans and shoes (Fate/Stay Night outfit) to finish the outfit. His arms were crossed over his chest as he looked at each of the men and women whom he had subjugated, "I told each of you, swear to me, and I will honor you." he spoke up.
"I have said those words twice, and I aim to keep my word. You have sworn yourselves, and essentially your families to me for a better life." he said as a series of portals opened behind him, "I have promised you a vast wealth to provide for those whom you love." he said, chests of gold and gem began to appear around him, "But I have not explained just who I am aside from my name." he told them, "I told you all my name is Gilgamesh, the King of Kings and the Wedge of Heaven." he stated boldly, "You may have either heard of me through various historical accounts or even word of mouth, I care not how, but you do know of me." he stated loudly.
"I have been on this world for well over 6,000 years, have helped the most historic figures take their places in the annals of history, built entire kingdoms that have either been heard of in history or remain today. I stepped away two thousand years ago to let mankind pave their way on their own, I no longer have a right to call myself a King, but my blood demands that I reclaim that which I deem mine." he told them, "I was King of Uruk, King of Babylon, and King of Assyria for over 3,000 years before I started to advise those who would become Kings in their own right and then I realized I was no longer required to help mankind pave its way."
"Until now..." he stated.
"Now, I awake to a world vastly different than what I know, but a world that is regressing rather than progressing." he declared, "My time as king was spent freeing the people from the whims of the gods, safeguarding them from their whims. The time I decided to take my leave, mankind somehow found a way to regress and turn back to the whims of the Divine. I will not forsake you in staying away from their clutches. You have all given up your very freedom's to protect those you know not, but no longer, You will be under my direct command, and therefore my protection. Any who dare challenge you, challenge me! I will not let you suffer any more, your children, husbands, wives, mother's, fathers. You will sing of freedom, know of freedom, taste that freedom!"
"In my vast life, I have collected anything and everything seen as valuable. Wealth, weapons, vehicles, you think of it I possess it. I have garnered so much that my own knowledge has long since forgotten how much." he said, "I am usually a stingy, overzealous and proud warrior who claims all things this world has to offer, but today, I am a giving ruler who provides for his people once again!" he told those kneeling before him, "My awakening, and your defeat by a single person shows that this world has digressed to far, and that those whom lord over you have regained that which I had rightfully revoked for the people I had commanded."
"No more, your lives belong to me, the king, and as such, you will no longer work for these politicians who think themselves untouchable. I will unite this world singlehandedly if I must, be it by force or by other means, I will unite it all under my control once more! This garden will be free and shall remain free from the whims of greedy men, women, and god's vying for control like children. I will show them their place, and with your help, we will show other's the glory that comes with having anything your heart desires!" he called out, "Be it conquest over those whom lied to you. Freedom from those who look down upon those they care not for."
"Hold your heads high, for you are no longer bound down by the shackles of heretic ruler's who know not the woes of their people and their suffering. Be proud of what you have done in life, be it in the past, now in the present, or on the day you perish. Never let your accomplishments die in vain." Gilgamesh said, "This wealth here, is the beginning of a new life for each of us here until we relocate to a much better place." he said bending down to pick a chest up, "This small amount will begin a new life for each and every one of you here on the island, and then, I will help each of you to transition." he amended.
"I promised each of you a portion of my treasure, and as the King, it is my duty to provide. I have seen everything, have experienced all emotions, from exaltation to despair, have been granted a vision into the great mystery, the secret places, the primeval days before the Flood. I had once journeyed to the edge of the world and made my way back, exhausted but whole. I personally carved each of my trials on stone tablets, and even restored the holy Temple and the massive wall of Uruk, which no city on earth can equal. I gathered all the riches of the world and claimed them. Women and men revered me, demons and monster's fear me."
"And now, I want to help each of you become similar to me. While it is true that none will match me or the deeds I have done, each of you-here and now-will be remembered for all time."
"You know, he talks like a king, looks like a king, but he certainly doesn't act like one." Minaka spoke.
"Well, he does a better job than you." Takami sneered at him, "Come on, we have work to do, and I doubt the Sekirei will awaken themselves." she said as she motioned for Miya and Takehito to follow her.
~XxX-1 year later-XxX~
"No, I will not be returning to the temple." Gilgamesh's voice said boldly.
"B-But, surely you can understand-" Minaka's voice pleaded only for Gilgamesh to interrupt him, "And I said no." he growled out, "You may be in charge of your workforce and company, but I am not one of your lap dogs. These people whom attacked us in which I spared work not for you, but with. I allowed you access to large sums of my personal wealth to ready your company, and you waste a majority of it on your shenanigans and games." Gilgamesh stated, "I will not be granting you anything else. My people, will not be allowing you anything else. Whatever you have currently is all you have." he told him.
"The amount of Gold and jewels down there is enough to build an entire kingdom in a week and sustain it for a thousand years if it was spread to the people in vast equal amounts, and you aren't willing to share it?" Minaka growled back.
"Yes, because it is mine." Gilgamesh answered honestly, "All things in this world, are mine. While it is spread across the surface of this world, the people who possess anything worth value is on loan until it is rightfully returned to me, the King." he told the man, "As it stands you are simply upset that I blocked it off, and won't let you down there simply because you are out of options. I granted you plenty of time to build your company from nothing using an equal amount of treasure to fund entire realms for centuries, and you squandered it in your little power trips." he told him, "And now, because of that, another invasion is at hand. You should be grateful that I have remained here to help you along with the Sekirei whom you have awoken." he stated, "And don't think I haven't noticed what you have been doing to them behind closed doors either."
"You may not violate them in a physical or sexual form, but your machinations still harm the Sekirei greatly." Gilgamesh said, prodding Minaka in the chest, "I have half a mind to kill you here and now, dump your corpse into the ocean, and forget about your existence. My people work round the clock to ensure the safety of not only you and your friends, but the Sekirei in which you have awoken. With this new invasion, you have doomed more people to their graves, and many of those who follow me are afraid you will order them to their own graves if they don't listen. I had to personally assure them of that when I said we are not fully affiliated with you and your little game."
"I told them, we are building a new home. But, the thing is, you cannot build a kingdom overnight. Your actions threaten innocent men and women whom all have their children here on this island, and you have the gall to demand more from them." Gilgamesh sneered, a sleuth of golden disks opening behind the man, "You make me sick." he said as he pulled out a sword, pointing it at his neck, "Maybe I should rid the world of you, ensure that something like this doesn't happen again, but knowing you there is something you might have going on and killing you would influence another action. So tell me, Minaka Hiroto, why I should allow you to continue breathing in this Garden I have commanded?"
"It is because if you kill me, then you risk more than exposing yourself. You risk the lives of those whom follow you, the Sekirei, the world itself is not ready for those like them." Minaka said, pressing his neck to the blade, "So go ahead and do it, see how long you last without me and my influence." he dared.
*Slice*
"AHH~!" Minaka cried out as the sword cut across his head, slicing him across the nose and an eye beside, "You bastard, my eye, you cut out my fucking eye!" he cried out.
"I did." Gilgamesh conceded, "And while I may not have the proper means to remove you from my life, but that don't mean I am afraid to put you in your proper place." Gilgamesh said as he kicked the man in the leg and toppled him and then placed a foot on his chest and pinned the squirming man, "Make no mistake, mongrel, I will kill you." he told him, "It isn't going to be now, but know that when I say I am going to do something, I am going to do it. And here and now, I swear to one day be your end. The last thing you will see when you die, is my face." he told Minaka, "Now go wipe yourself off, you're bleeding on my sacred grounds." he said removing his foot and turning to walk off from the man.
"Oh and Minaka." Gilgamesh said as he turned his head to face the writhing man on the ground, "I am no Bastard. My nobility has been etched into the world itself. Where is your so called Nobility if not stained to your ego?" he asked rhetorically. With his piece of mind spoken, the King walked away.
And this is going to be a wrap for this chapter, hope to see some effort working for this one. LIKE/FAVORITE/FOLLOW to show it some love and COMMENT/REVIEW to tell me your thoughts.
Naruto Skills-Abilities-Attributes
SKILLS-
Flight: As a divine being, Naruto possesses the ability to fly, using his own power to travel great distances, maneuver high up in the air, and perform aerial assaults on those below him at a whim.
Expert Hand-to-Hand Combat: Living over 6,500 years, Naruto has adept prowess at the art of close combat, easily combating away seven Servants called upon in the Holy Grail War and four full Divine Servants that opposed him simultaneously.
Presence Detection: This ability allows Naruto to become one with the World and identify anything out of place at long range. Via the Earth, he is able to sense the presence of things at long range. (Sage-Mode)
Battle Continuation: The ability to resume combat. Allows for Naruto to survive unless dealt a decisively fatal blow, continuing to fight even when sustaining a wound that leaves him on the verge of death, even if he receives a fatal wound or loses half of his body, for example, will keep snapping at the enemy as if he was in perfectly good health. However, this would only apply to Naruto if he were summoned as a Servant, seeing as he is still alive, this is a unique ability for his counterparts already deceased.
ATTRIBUTES-
Immense Durability: When the first invasion of Kamikura occurs, Naruto withstands the full bombardment from a fleet of unknown Destroyer Class Ship missiles along with several dozen turret shots and comes out with only a few scratches which heal up almost instantly. He has also taken a full assault from the combined forces of Miya and the remaining Sekirei that would form the First Generation Discipline Squad with minor injury. He can fall from incredible heights reaching up to 5,000-5500+ feet with only small bruises as the result. With his armor he is nigh invincible as he has taken full missile bombardments from American bombers with minor worry.
Immense Strength: Naruto has been seen to be lifting the Sekirei Space-Ship ruins out of the ground with his bare hands, attesting to his sheer physical prowess. He has also managed to evade bullets from high caliber weapons by merely stepping out of the trajectory and even watching them as they pierce the air as they are shot at him. He has kicked tanks and ruptured the armor plating with minimal effort. He is also shown to be able to not only move, but attack with surprising agility and strength under the influence of the effects of a incredibly powerful gravitational field, a remarkable feat as Hercules, a Demigod that is known for his physical prowess, wasn't even able to stand.
Immense Magic Power: Naruto, even by modern Mage standards, has been noted to possess an immense amount of Magic Power which he can release as a thick, potent aura around him. People in the immediate vicinity can be brought to their knees by its power, even High-Class Mages, and its force can be felt at great distances. When exerted, Naruto's Magic Power is gold in color, and is said to be absolutely overwhelming to the point of even members of the Wizard of the Clocktower, even the strongest male, "Magic King" August himself, being awed and sweating at his enormous power with August himself even stated that he was more powerful than he initially thought. Much stronger than initially assumed to be, even after apparently going toe-to-toe alone both unarmored and unarmed with the vaunted Goddess of the Sun Amaterasu, in combat, Naruto is mentioned by a defeated Amaterasu to be still waiting for someone to truly challenge him, implying that he was possibly holding back in his bout with the Sun Goddess. Additionally, Amaterasu at one point has stated that he could rule the world with his power alone-which he has done before.
Immense Speed: Naruto has been shown to move at blinding speeds, striking down six of the enhanced Servants that were summoned in the city to challenge him before any of the Servants or their masters, even knew what had happened.
Immense Endurance: Naruto has been shown to possess a vast amount of physical endurance. After using up all of his Magic Power during his fight with Izanagi-a Primordial Deity- by focusing it all in a single slash from Ea, he was still able to join the battle against Susanoo and Amaterasu, summoning different weapons and performing combo attacks with his Sekirei and allies. He was also able to fight and hold his own against a Mage of Solomon's caliber after having fought and defeated King Hassan, the most powerful assassin from the Throne of Heroes.
Enhanced Smell: Naruto has an incredible sense of smell, which he shares with other Divine Beings. He could instantly tell Amaterasu and Susanoo were deities immediately after smelling them from a vast distance and could tell there were 7 other Deities across the whole of Japan, despite the incredible distance between all of them.
Manipulation Immunity: According to Enkidu, Naruto is immune to any and every form of Supremacy Magic.
Magic Resistance: A ability that grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether.
Perfect Form: Having been born with a body that was of the highest grade by mortal standards and knowledge reaching truth, Naruto was born, designed to be better than any other, and as king and the Wedge of Heaven to connect the rising humans and the fading gods. He was sent to ensure the humans and bind the earth slowly leaving the Age of Gods. He is a being embodying the two life sets of life forms, with the blood of those who had ruled and the blood of those who would rule from thereon. He was to be the ultimate neutral party able to discern their respective failings, adjudicating from their respective positions. By making use of the Magical Energy of the land, Naruto restores himself to his true strength. So long there is a supply of magic energy from the land, Naruto's body (which was produced during the of the Age of Gods) will never collapse. A powerful regeneration & restoration ability that is completely unprecedented.
Neutral Personality: Naruto's attitude greatly differs from most of the sovereigns and leaders in the history of humanity. He takes the time to enjoy himself, mastering every treasure and every pleasure known to man. With conviction to treat good and evil equally, his actions and way of life left him alone, so Enkidu compared rectifying his attitude to rectifying his solitude. He has a natural disposition to collect items for his treasury, which lead to collecting all the treasures of the world. The treasures he amassed went without use until his fight with Enkidu, causing him to develop the "bad habit" of utilizing them as projectiles. The act of collecting is something that has never brought him true joy due to essentially being on the same level as breathing to him, but he still persists at it nonetheless. He compares gambling as simply moving money from his treasury to his purse. He lives by 'his' Golden Rule, only accepting the finest of luxuries, and others who fall to it are utterly blinded by money. Naruto a collector of treasures. His favorite phrase is "I've assembled all treasures in the land", but that is not a metaphor. He has assembled, stored and sealed away every sample of technology that were developed in the world. His argument is "humans are foolish, but there is value in the tools, civilization that humans create". His sole source of enjoyment is in the hearts of humans. His most beloved humans are those who possess dreams far surpassing their own capacity but constantly work towards them regardless without giving up. Although he feels that he was born for a specific purpose, he did not feel contempt for potentially being artificially manufactured for the sake of being used by the gods, and although his every cell had been designed before birth, he was born from his mother's womb like a normal human; therefore, he was both "born" and "created" at the same time. It matters not if a being is an animal or a puppet, as all life is created through the intentions of the parents. He was brought forth by predecessors like all living things, the only difference being that his predecessor was the planet, the gods. The "self", the soul, is the only naturally occurring and unique part of life, awaking to individual originality that cannot be thought of as having been created. Whether the body was manufactured or the product of reproduction, the shape of life is always brought forth by predecessors, so only the naturally occurring soul matters to him. The gods' countermeasure was correct, but it was that, being born as a new life with a new will, that he did not behave in accordance with their wishes.
MAGIC ABILITIES-
Light Magic: A rare type of Elemental Magic which relies around the use of light. Naruto is easily capable of manifesting his immense Magic Power in the form of light, as well as to use it to attack opponents. During his fight with Susanoo, he was shown drawing ethereal spheres of light in the air, joined together by beams reminiscent of constellations, to perform unseen spells.
-God King's Wrath: Naruto exudes a constant surge of destructive light energy that surrounds him, which shakes the surrounding environment and destroys everything within the vicinity. This ability was used when Naruto goes to find the Berserker Lancelot and Cloned Hercules, during his raid on the Clocktower for kidnapping Miya.
-Rain of Light: Naruto unleashes multiples light blasts are generated and sent flying at his opponents
-Raining Starlight: Naruto summons a series of light disks that spread apart before linking together creating a constellation of sorts. Each disk of light then releases a powerful light blast down on the opponent, forming the same pattern on the ground before exploding. According to Matsu, this technique's destruction capability rivals that of an actual meteor that could wipe out mankind if used at full power.
Fire Magic: Naruto is able to use Fire Magic, a form of Magic which, as the name implies, allows the user to generate, manipulate and control fire. He has been seen using Fire Magic to start small fires to cook food with or raise awe inspiring infernos with a wave of a hand. His true capabilities using Fire Magic are Unknown.
Water Magic: Naruto is able to use Water Magic, a form of Magic which, as the name implies, allows the user to generate, manipulate and control water. He has been seen using this magic to aid in his attempt to grow crops while living on Kamikura when he was reawakened after thousands of years of slumber. The true extent of his abilities with Water Magic are Unknown.
Air Magic: Naruto is able to use Air Magic, a form of Magic which, as the name implies, allows the user to generate, manipulate and control air. He is able to cast a cooling breeze or a destructive tornado with but a thought. The true extent of his abilities with Wind Magic are unknown.
Earth Magic: Naruto is able to use Earth Magic, a form of Magic which, as the name implies, allows the user to generate, manipulate and control earth. He uses this magic to till the soil of Kamikura to suit his needs when he attempts to grow crops as he doesn't trust modern foods. The true extent of his prowess with using Earth Magic is Unknown.
Dispel: Naruto has been shown capable of dispelling certain and advanced spells cast upon him or those of his choosing with relative ease such as shown dispelling Roman's Supremacy Subordination Magic which was used on him to try and force Naruto to kill himself so he could be summoned as a Heroic Spirit to be commanded in the Fourth Holy Grail War.
DIVINE ABILITIES-
Gate of Babylon: It is the "Golden Capital" and the "King's Treasury" of Naruto, and moreover the golden key connected to it. His main Magic Ability, it is the storehouse that Naruto built to store all the world's treasures he claimed in life, referred to as the "Divine Gate". It connects the space of reality to the vault, opening an "invisible door" between dimensions that allows for the contents to pass through upon their owner's command. Allowing for easy access to the items of the treasury, he is able to pick and utilize them as he pleases. The items passing through the gate form gold-glowing energy ripples in the empty air as they appear instantly. He can summon items directly into his hand, pull out weapons from directly behind him, or prepare numerous weapons midair, loaded like bullets.
Melammu Dingir: With heartrending grief, Naruto is given no choice but to load his own collections in the cannons surrounding the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and fire them-unable to be recovered for thousands of years. It is a long-range bombardment from the Protection Measurements of the King's Treasury. A prodigious cannon fire that concentrates not only his own, but also the total force of the people of Uruk that once lived in the Age of Gods, anger on his enemy which is unleashed as a powerful force of destruction.
Hanging Gardens of Babylon: A Floating Fortress of incredible power. It is capable of housing thousands of soldiers, assembled with systematically ordered floating masses, covered in floors of marble, stone balconies, many pillars, and every kind of plant life entangled and intertwined over the construct in a manner described as a "unification of unsightly disorder and luxurious beauty." It contains a throne room used as its main means of control, allowing Naruto to use it to activate by touching a large jewel on the throne's armrest. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon are designed to look like an upside-down palace, with the interior being reversed so the floor is on the ceiling. It does not boast great speed, taking an hour to travel a number of kilometers, but it is capable of moving towards an enemy stronghold and "hanging" midair to prepare for attack. The only way for enemies to attack is with flying mounts or planes, but Naruto can easily defend it with the Dingir Cannon's located along the fortresses tall walls and powerful magecraft.
Sha Naqba Imuru: Naruto possesses a tremendously efficient Clairvoyance that allows him to discern heavily concealed truths with a single glance, making him fully capable of reading the True Name and Capabilities of his opponents and he is able to guide others with the most optimal tactics. He is extremely perceptive of magecraft, allowing him to see through Susanoo's fake death and tell the exact number of attacks a enemy is preparing just by looking at them. He is also capable of accurately assessing his opponents' abilities, as when he discovered Madea's ability to enchant anything she desired where he easily countered her abilities afterwards. It is Eyesight of good quality. Apprehension of long distance target and elevation of kinetic vision. Naruto's Clairvoyance gives him unobstructed view of the past, present events, and the future. With how potent Naruto's use of said skill is, it can essentially be considered omniscience.
Nature's Gift: As the Keystone to the Heavens which connects both God's and Man, Naruto has unique abilities, this specific ability was tied to him before he came to be known as the Legendary God-King Gilgamesh in legends. It allows him to absorb the energy of nature and enhance his already godly abilities. It also enhances his five basic senses, grants him the vaunted Sixth sense of sensing danger and turns his immense healing into regeneration.
Corruption Immunity: Naruto is immune to being corrupted by the evil's of humanity. Unlike all the known Servants which are normally corrupted and blackened upon contact, Naruto is unable to be controlled or blackened due to his powerful divine energy that can stave back the mental pollution while still being alive. He claims that someone would need at least five times that amount to even think about affecting him with any dark intentions.
Summoning: A powerful form of magecraft that evokes of spiritual bodies of the past, or perhaps the future. With this ability, he can call forth the "Seventy Two Demon Gods", and use them as capable familiars. He has even shown he could summon a deceased version of himself to help fight if need be in the form of his Archer self.
Solomon's Rings: The ten Rings that King Solomon was given and in turn obtained Omnipotence, given by God. Taken upon Solomon's death as a gift to protect mankind. In the case of all ten rings present, any and all kinds of magecraft performed by mankind is invalidated and put under his subordination. They are regarded by Matsu as the greatest catalyst possible to use in order to fight in a Holy Grail War.
Divinity: Naruto possesses the highest amount of Divinity among all divine mortals that ever lived due to being 2/3 God. He even exceeds the power of Heracles, the son of Zeus who ascended to the Pantheon after death. If a Demigod were to bleed, their blood would be a mix between gold and crimson, for Naruto's, it is the opposite. When he is first found, Takehito noted that the sheer amount and purity of the raw energy flowing from his body seemed divine. In fact, every fiber of his muscles, and every drop of blood in his veins, is overflowing with a power so pure it could all be called divine.
Golden Rule: He has the ability-more of a skill-called the Golden Rule, meaning he is a being fated to a life that is filled with riches. Claiming all the world's treasures as his own, the originals item are preserved in his treasury
Charisma: He is very charismatic with both enough influence and strength to build a grand empire on a global scale. He is often praised as the greatest king, so his ability to command and lead great armies is excellent beyond compare.
Collector: This is the "talent" to collect high quality goods from anywhere and everywhere. Naruto is a collector of treasures. "Gathering all the treasures of the earth" is his habit, but it is not a metaphor either. Within his era, he aggregated, paid and sealed unto his collection all the fruits of civilization. Rather than "possession of individual items", it would be more appropriate to say that the true treasure he grasped was "the very essence of human ingenuity.
