Lately, Mirabel had been feeling not like herself and Miguel could see it, it broke his heart Luis had decided to break it off because he cheated on her with Julia and let's just say she was not happy when she found out.

Mirabel then dove headfirst into work to avoid talking about it and she became quite depressed as she trusted him and they had become quite serious, as Miguel stood back and watched it broke his heart and he wanted nothing more than to punch him in the face for hurting Mira like this.

"Come on Mija please eat something you haven't lately ". Luisa said trying to get her to eat something was getting difficult

"I'm not hungry ". She mumbled

"Mira, you have to eat something ". Rosa joined

Even Elena tried to get to eat food but no matter if it was lightly or pushed hard she would barely touch the tamales laid out for her.

Lately, she'd been locking herself away in her house refusing to move or go anywhere and if she did she wouldn't talk much.

Even Imelda and the rest could see it, it broke Daphne's heart to see her granddaughter in such a state. Both Pablo and Pedro would smash the boys' heads in if he ever came here to break their Mariposa.

"She hasn't smiled in over 4 weeks". Oscar said

"I know, I want to kill Luis ". Victoria gritted her teeth

Miguel didn't know what to do she wouldn't talk to him she was too depressed, he hadn't seen her this sad since mentioning her family. Coco smiled and sighed she knew this was hard for Mira and her trust was hard to earn since people kept taking advantage of her heart and leaving her in the dark.

"I can't stand this anymore ". Miguel was determined

He was determined to make Mirabel See that Luis was a no-good pandejo, he was gonna make her smile Again he missed it so much and that he loved her more than life itself.

"Mijo, What are you doing?" Coco asked

"Making my Mira smile again". He stated determined

Héctor knew that his grandson knew that name only meant that he was serious and determined and not to be discouraged, Imelda knew exactly how this going to work and she was more than proud of his grandson because he certainly knew how to treat a lady.

"Good luck". Imelda smiled

Miguel then went over to the workbench and saw Mirabel sewing deep In work, he knew what to do.

"Hey, Mira come on dance with me". Miguel chided

"Not in the mood Miguel ". She mumbled

"Miguel!? Huh this must be serious then, usually I'm Mi Musico I must have done something bad ". He states

"No, I just am not not In the mood you've not done anything". He walked around the table coming close to her

"He's not gonna do it". Felipe finished

"I'm not so sure Tio". Julio said

Miguel then wrapped his arms around her in a big bear hug, Mirabel looked annoyed but nothing happened.

"Oh come on not even a chuckle ". He huffed

"I know what you're doing ". She sighed

He then let go of her now he had an idea he went around to her side and took the sewing out of her hands.

"Hey, give that back!" She yelled angrily

"No". He shot back

Mirabel stopped walking when she went around to him he had hidden it so that she wouldn't find out where it was and she wouldn't dive back into the habits, Mirabel looked annoyed at him and sighed knowing what he was doing.

"This is not funny I need to work ". She stopped

"Well, I'm not giving it back you've been like this for almost 5 weeks". He stated

"I have not!" She snaps back

"Really? Because I haven't seen you this angry or upset ever since your family ". Miguel stood

"That's different ". She sighed

"Is it? Cause he lied to you and broke your heart and you trusted him". Miguel made a point

Mirabel snapped how dare he accuse of that? Being sad over Luis was valid and she knew she had been herself lately.

"YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO USE THAT AGAINST ME, MAKING THE CONNECTION THAT THIS IS THE SME THING!". Mirabel yells at him

"That's it keep going, let it out". Miguel chided

"IS THIS A JOKE TO YOU?! HE BROKE MY HEART HE DESERVES TO ROT IN HELL, HOW DARE HE CAN GO TO HELL. I DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THAT BASTARD". She added realising she had just yelled at Miguel

"There you go". He said

She covered her mouth in shock and stepped forward to hug Miguel worried that she scared him, Miguel chuckled softly at her reaction.

"I'm so so sorry ". She rambled

Miguel smiled put his hand in hard and looked into hers.

"Estas bien, Mira I promise it's fine". He said

"Still, I shouldn't have yelled at you as an excuse for him". Mirabel sighed softly crying

He hugged her tightly and kissed her curls. To hold her like this made him very happy to comfort her like this felt like heaven.

"Should we do something?" Julio asked

"No. Let it happen hermano". Rosita smiled

"He didn't deserve you". Miguel whispered softly

Mirabel cuddled further into him and sighed comfortably not wanting to move a little longer. Just to be with him made her feel like he had his best friend back.

Miguel drifted her eyes up to his and she smiled for the first time in weeks, Héctor had no doubts he would be able to get her smile back.

"Do you want to go back to work?" He asked

She sighed and shook her head.

"No, I'd like to dance with Mi Musico ". She replied chuckling

Miguel smiled as he took by the hand gently and swayed gently, Victoria turned up the radio just a bit so they could dance together.

They spun and danced around as they swayed Mira resting her head on his shoulder and smiling, Miguel was more than happy to hold her and make her feel loved. He spun her out and then backed her in as she laughed.

"What did I tell you they are meant for each other que romantico!" Rosita swooned

"Tia". Victoria rolled her eyes

"No, Rosita is right no question ". Héctor smiled

Imelda smiled as they watched the two dance. Happy that Miguel and their Mirabel finally see each other in the way they have for a long time.

Miguel then lifted his arm making her gasp and twirling her.

"Miguel!" She squeals

He just laughed and smiled as he kept her in his arms a little while longer before putting her down smiling. The two swayed further as Miguel tucked a curl behind her ear now inches from her, those amber eyes and that smile he had missed so much.

"Que?" She coaxed

Miguel" 's heart was beating faster the minute he stopped, how dare Luis break someone like his Mirabel she's too perfect for this world, even for him.

"Te Amo Mucho Mira ". He whispered

She was taken aback, but smiled and melted into his touch sighing softly.

"Te Amo Migue always, I'm sorry ". She apologised

"Why are you Sorry?" He coaxed

"Because I was stupid for thinking he actually loved me". She chuckled

"No, no Mira listen to me you're not he's the idiot that let you go no one can come close to you". Miguel looked her in the eyes

"I've wanted to do this for so long". He sighed

"What?" She asked

And without a second thought he stepped closer and smiled gently putting his hands around her waist he then gently kissed her, Mirabel felt herself go week as her best friend of 4 years had waited to be something more for a while she went a little weak in the knees at his kiss.

Mirabel had only dreamed of this a couple of times yet his kiss felt soft, tender and sweet like he wanted to keep her in his arms forever.

When he pulled back releasing himself he was dazed. Mirabel on the hand was frozen his kiss sent her into a paradox.

"Well I –" He stopped when Mira pulled him in for another kiss gently by the collar

Hesitation never helps how could this be anything anything else'.

When Mirabel pulled away she couldn't help but melt and smile blushing crimson red as her cheeks felt like fire.

"You wanted to find that out didn't you?" She giggles

Miguel rolled his eyes.

"Everyday". Miguel smiled

"If we try this, it could make things…" She stopped

"I'm willing to risk it, I'll never hurt you ever I swear on my afterlife". He promised

"I know, I trust you I just"… She looked tearful

"What Mira?" He asked

"I don't want to- " She chokes up

She drifted his eyes up to him and smiled.

"You could never make me leave you're perfect understand?" He held her hands tightly reassuring her

She believed him for the first time she didn't want to back away from this, Miguel could never make her run nor hide. No he would stand and support with her making her smile no matter what she knew this was it her soulmate, her love of her life, her best friend. She was his love and she couldn't deny him anything.

Héctor smiled along with the rest of the family knowing he was making a lifelong commitment and promise and he was proud of his Mijo for that.

"That's my boy". He whispered

Imelda smiled and leaned against her husband's shoulder as she watched and the rest smiled.

"You trust me ?" He asked

Mirabel nodded and smiled.

"Te Amo Mi corazon". She sighed

"Yo tambien Mi Mira ". He hugged her gently

"I bet you anything, I owe you a date". Miguel laughed

She shook her head.

"You don't owe me anything, I just need you". She cleared up

"Absolutely ". She chuckled

Mirabel laughed at his antics somehow the smile was brought back and he knew he succeeded.

"Really?" She questioned

Miguel nodded and smiled.

He surely was a fool for her but yet he wouldn't have any other way and only hers…
