[Log File #013 – Dark Agon, Dark Aether] Turning my arm cannon in the direction of the cry I saw the beast up on a small cliff above me. This Warrior Ing looked a little different from the previous one I fought, and as I was trying to determine what might make it different it jumped down from the cliff. When I say that it jumped, it got some major air time. From what I saw of the previous Warrior Ing they normally weren't able to jump that high. So why could this one?

I activated my Scan Visor to check a theory I had. My hunch was right; this creature was utilizing the power of my Space Jump Boots! Switching back to my arm cannon I knew there was only one thing to do. I had to kill this Jump Guardian to reclaim my gear.

I started to charge my Power Beam as the Guardian started to gather energy around it to prepare another jump. When it landed the force from its jump created a small shockwave. I had a feeling that the shockwave would likely disrupt my weapon if I got to close, so I had to keep my distance. But even that proved challenging as it starting to fire energy beams at me. I dodged the first two beams, but the third one hit and knocked me out of the safety of the light crystal. I immediately rushed back to its safety, and started taking the fight more seriously.

After a few minutes of dodging and shooting, the Jump Guardian finally went down with a cry of pain. It burst into a cloud of dark particles which reformed on the ground into the module for my Space Jump Boots. I grabbed the module and wasted no time in getting the system online, testing the new thruster for any flaws. Satisfied the it worked, I decided to press on.

Near the cliff where the Jump Guardian first leaped from, I noticed a door with a blast shield. I fired a single missile at it and the blast shield shattered, granting me access to a new area. Moving into the new area I recognized this spot as the arena where I originally fought the Bomb Guardian. I couldn't go further as there was a large door blocking access to the arena center, with three hollows carved into it. This led me to believe that this was the door to the Temple Energy Controller that I-Sha's recording had mentioned. I knew I needed three keys to open it, but I didn't have any. I would have to return later.

As I started to depart, I got a nagging feeling that I should explore the chamber a bit. I walked around the outer ring of the arena ring and saw a door. Going through it was the right thing to do, as I found an object hovering there. Picking it up revealed that it was one of the three keys to the sealed door, which means I only needed two more.

I started to make my way back to the portal chamber where I had originally entered Dark Aether. Nothing attacked me when I entered the room, and my threat sensor remained calm. I moved to the portal generator and scanned the control panel to activate the portal creation process. The portal appeared a few seconds later, and I stepped into it without hesitation to return to the surface of Aether...
